A Tour through the city of Tucker

Welcome to Tucker before you even stepped on it! It's entirely convenient for nations interested in establishing embassies to know beforehand about the city where they shall send their diplomats. First, for you to be entirely aware of the location of Tucker, here is a map of Third Spanish States, with a few nearby countries showed as well, or if you are well knowledgeable about Third Spanish States, you can skip entirely this section and go straight to the listing of available areas for building, purchasing or getting a free building as an embassy.

http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/9229/tssmapmc4.jpg

Tucker is a major industrial and commercial megacity located a few miles southwest of the large harbor city of Hampshire Haven, and like it is characterized by concentrating most of Third Spanish States population of English ethnic origins, also being logically the region where English is the most spoken language. About 10% of Third Spanish States GDP is originated from it. Thanks to the highly decentralized nature of Third Spanish States, each city or more exactly, their inhabitants, can choose which economic system to implement. And since its founding, Tucker is a haven of the free market in the middle of countless communist cities. Of course it trades with the other cities, but anyway, nothing more adequate could be chosen as the location for international embassies than the region from where the famed Tienda del Coche Arcology (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/4c/X-seed4000.jpg) can be seen from pretty close. In fact this region is directly connected to the highway that leads straight inside the massive structure, one of a dozen built in response to the growing population density issue. Estimated Tucker population is of 39 millions of inhabitants, with about 9 millions living in its three existing arcologies. Also important of notice is that there is no official police in Tucker, but don't worry, there are several voluntary brigades of Vigilantes and also all decent citizens feel that is their duty to protect each other among other decent people and honest people aren't forbidden to own guns while bandits can, so as long as you walk with a group of people, you are definitively and entirely safe no matter what comes.

Where to get your embassy

The list with the locations per street will be given in the next part of this promotional document.

So, with presentations done, here is the map of the place where there are vacant buildings or empty lots ready for construction, improvements and in some cases, diplomatic convoys.

http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/6416/embassycentrexz4.jpg

As you can see, there is a highway in cutting all those streets and avenues in the middle in that map, so for convenience, Let's call each region "South of Highway" and "North of Highway". Conveniently there are several interesting places there, including a park, a quite large public recreation area built by Tienda del Coche Cooperative Confederacy with the aid of nearby business, and of course, there is an hospital there, private for those who can afford it and free for those who need it. Now, if you pay attention there are some brown buildings there with their addresses marked, those are the buildings for establishing embassies. Now mind you, interested partners, that unfortunately some of them are not free, because they were quite expensive and are large enough to hold a whole accounting office of a multinational. First, as logically the probably more interesting, here is the list of the free ones first:

309 Rand Street - Alfegos Embassy
317 Rand Street - Lamoni Embassy
319 Rand Street
1050 Kropotkin Street(Large empty lot open for construction)
2191 Godwin Avenue - Imbrinium Embassy

Now if you wish to have enough space to send representatives of enterprises as well, here are the non-free ones, also which shall be updated, but they are at a loss, so why not purchase them?

315 Rand Street - Neo-Ixania Embassy
1051 Kropotkin Street, cost: US$ 250,000
46 Spooner Avenue, cost: US$ 150,000
48 Spooner Avenue, cost: US$ 350,000
4357 Stirner Avenue - Yanitaria Embassy

Regulations

The DiploNet will be opening more streets later, so for now there'll be a priority on which nation, should more nations be interested than available locations, goes in. Those who would get it, in order of priority, are:

Nations which have coal, niobium and/or uranium as main export minerals
Nations which would be interested in importing products from Third Spanish States

And that is all about it, now on the regulations:

No JHP ammunition, no missiles, explosives, grenades and NBC weapons.
No more than 10 armored civilian cars. If armed with a mounted light machinegun or similar for additional protection purposes, an armored civilian car cannot go further than 5 kilometers(or 3.1 miles) away from the embassy.
Should a war happen, ambassadors of involved nation or nations cannot leave.
No restrictions on using embassies or nearby restaurants, hotel conference rooms and alike in Third Spanish States as middle grounds between different countries which have embassies here.
No more than 25 security personell
No limits to civilian personell
No limitations to the right of Third Spanish States citizens of shooting on sight against murderers and other equally heinous criminals caught red-handed, diplomats also will be subject to this form of death penalty should they commit heinous crimes.
Do not commit minor crimes: ambassadors who do it shall be deported to their home countries.

With this, here is the final part:

Due to serious criminality issues in Third Spanish States and due to known links between criminal organizations of our countires we have sadly additional conditions for you to accept should you wish to establish an embassy:

All names of the civilian crew of the embassy must be given, with their ID cards as well.
You have to accept the installment of surveillance cameras in the courtyard and outdoors areas of the embassy
Your helicopters can only land on the embassy helipad.

Should you accept these conditions, your request will be granted
Alfegos

Response:

We must protest these points for the following reasons:
1 - Just because you have found a single airship with a large haul of drugs does not suggest that the entire nation is infested with criminality.
2 - All governmental and diplomatic staff are thoroughly vetted and have to undergo rigourous security checks before even being considered for entry.
3 - An embassy's grounds are part of the embassy owner's nation: we have a right to decide whether we install security cameras or not.
4 - So, any helicopters that land there can only go back to Alfegos? What about visits to other parts of your nation? To other people in authority?

1, 2 - If your nation isn't "infested with criminality" and all staff goes through rigorous security checks, there is no point to refuse giving the names and identities of the staff of the embassy.

3 - Agreed

4 - Helicopters can be used to transport diplomats to other embassies an points where negotiations are to be held, visiting other parts of the nation can be done through car or by buying special tickets in the airports. Also a program to acquire permanent rights to use airplanes under supervision is on the way.

Inside DiploNet highly encrypted message boards:

"They want underground to smuggle drugs! I'm sure of it! Their government is probably very linked with their organized crime. We must deny their request at all!"

"Wait, it's not necessary to deny it, I think we should just deny the request to build underground as a precaution and ask the identity of their staff, like with Alfegos!"

And the discussion went on until it was finally decided
--------------

To: Yanitaria

We request the identities, including documents, of your diplomatic staff to come before their arrival. Your request to build on underground has been denied. You can install an helipad if you accept these terms.

-------------

Nobody did apply to become a cleaner or gardener for Alfegos Embassy after five days, it seemed they were either too arrogant or had a really good Social Welfare support from volunteers of the communist cities nearby. Or perhaps it had to do with the fact there were no jobs in Third Spanish States sovereign territory bar those in Organized Crime, as all legitimate business were cooperatives where all got an equal share in profits and decision-making.

To the Third Spanish States:

We would be willing to send you all the relevant background on anyone working or living inside the embassy, but we must re-request that you allow us to build the facility at least half-way underground.

What if as a precaution we allowed police/military officials to send a liason committee of 3 people to patrol our embassy, with full access to all areas, excluding bedrooms and bathrooms.

We would even be willing to let you bring in drug dogs, and we will pay the salaries of the entire committee.

The underground building is entirely for safety, so that the threat of bombs will be minimized.

Reply: We accept these conditions. Our "mapmaker" was a bit busy though to point the anti-air batteries nearby in the map. And on terrorism, Third Spanish States never supported "War on Terror" campaigns or Zionism that would put it on the spotlight of potential targets for terrorist groups and suspicious foreigners can be checked by worried civilians, which can volunteer to do police work as well, if necessary. Also we are sorry for the inconvenience, but hope you understand it is for the safety and stability of our own nations. We would also like to start negotiations on the import of coal and uranium.

Your request have been granted, although we would like to know your economic organization rather than its rating, but we have presume it's a capitalist free market with some welfare State abound from the public information we gathered. Regarding military technology, we currently are still making market researches to check whether it's a viable investment to establish an storefront system or not, although we have individual sales systems for two of our products: The EC-3 Compact Shotgun and its Variants (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=551599) and the CL-32 Buitre Air Superiority Fighter (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=554394), although there are export restrictions to the latter, and we'll have to check your nation rating in Transparency International should you become interested in purchasing it, although we are almost sure you would be approved. And finally, we have a store in the International mall which can be accessed through here. Please note that accessing the mall requires a proper customer account that can be acquired through registering, the link for the our store is the following:

http://z4.invisionfree.com/NSDraftroom/index.php?showforum=36

Regarding a pool, fortunately this time we managed to gain the sponsorship of the Piscinas Madrid, which shall provide the infrastructure. Unfortunately, due to the size of the terrain coupled with the quantity of skyscrapers around, we are afraid an airstrip wouldn't be large enough to allow take-off except for a vertical take-off and landing aircraft. There is enough space for one to land there, but we lack sponsors to build a proper hangar in the lot, although we can arrange discounts should it become really necessary. Third Spanish States is a responsible nation diplomatically, which respects the sovereignty of other nations and has a diplomatic corps trained to avoid the possibility war to the last possible moment. I wouldn't worry about that, and in any case, the closest airfield is just seventeen blocks away from the location through the Godwin Avenue. We hope this shall not be an inconvenient and apologize for this limitation.
