HM Queen Mercedez Hexx has decreed that Tanaara will now be accepting Ambassador/ Ambassadress from nations not in the Fatal Terrain region (http://www.atddm.com/nmftr.jpg) for the first time since the nations founding. Before you rush to ask for an embassy however please consider the list below.
1) Tanaara is NOT in the United Nations, nor will it ever be, our Citizens almost universally holding that toothless body in utter contempt.
2) We do not allow for ‘diplomatic immunity’, and further more, while we will lease the land unto your nation into perpetuity, will not allow the land an embassy stands on to be come a ‘foreign country’ who’s laws would supercede our own. < Certain alterations to this are permitted for Regional nations and others on a case by case basis.> You commit a crime in Tanaara you will be arrested, tried, and sentenced under Tanaaran law. Anything resembling extradition will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
3) We are an elected Monarchy- Our Monarch works long, eighteen-hour days, and our governmental bureaucracy is Very Small. Much of what bureaucracy there is is handled by the central A.I. known as Myriad. The Monarch is effectively a dictator, having the ultimate power in his or her hands. There are titles of nobility and they are earned, rather than inherited; given out for service and deeds ‘above and beyond’ for the nation.
4) Citizenship is Not automatic, simply being born here will not grant you Citizenship, though it might grant you Residency. There are no ‘social security’ program type programs, and there are no Unions allowed in Tanaara.
5) Tanaara has the death penalty and practices hard labor penal slavery. We make no bones about it and our definition of ‘human rights’ is different than most.
6) We are Not a Christian nation -both Residents and Citizens alike who consider/ identify themselves as Christians / Catholics total less than 1%. Islam totals less than .5%. Unitarians total nearly 1%. The other ‘major religions’ - Judaism, Sikhism, Jainism, Hinduism, Baha’i together total about 1.5 %. Atheists, and Secular Humanists total about 2%. Agnostics, Pagans, Wiccans, Asatru, Egyptian, Native African Animism, Shinto, Buddhists, Taoists, Native American, Polynesian deism, and ‘Personal Religions’ make up the rest - some 95%. Any organized religion is taxed, unless over 75% of their profits go to registered and approved charities...
7) Nudity is legal and commonplace in Tanaara. There are no body taboos, though there are many places and instances that nudity is not appropriate. Never hesitate to ask, and if you feel uncomfortable going nude, no one will fault you for being clothed.
8) Prostitution is legal. Drugs are legal but are Very Highly regulated. Acting under the influence could net you the death penalty. Rape is illegal and will get the death penalty. Child and animal abuse are very serious crimes and could net you a life of penal slavery or even the death penalty.
9) An armed society is a polite society, and Tanaarans are almost always armed. Carrying weapons and dueling is legal.
10) Both Majic, and active Psionics, are found in Tanaara as well as non-human races. Our technology includes Antigrav & Maglev vehicles, we have a space elevator to our primary space station/ habitat as well as other numerous LaGrange / O’Neill type habitats. ( In short we are a PMT/NFT nation moving fast into FT)
If your nation has a problem with the positions on the list, don’t ask for an embassy in mine.
Now that that is out of the way, should you desire to have an embassy within my nation what will be allowed is not some scaled down minimal acerage compound with not enough personnel to adequately staff the Embassy, or secure the grounds that many nations limit Embassies to.
Parcels will be a minimum of 10 acres, and, as is customary in Tanaara, there will be broad green zones - minimum, of 200 ft in width- between each Embassy. All Embassies will be located on Embassy Row, a wide, heavily treed boulevard that winds though the hills and along the river that make up the cityscape of the nation’s capitol, Montgaurd. Set backs from the boulevard will be a minimum of 50 ft. Helipads mut be atop buildings not on the ground. There is also an elevated maglev that serves Diplomats Row (http://www.atddm.com/Tan3.jpg) and you may ask for a stop to be installed at your Embassy. The terrain is very suitable for underground levels. The summers are mild, the winters see some snow each year.
This gives one a feel of what Montguard is like (http://www.atddm.com/Tan8.jpg) in how the building are not all crowded together, but are widely seperated by trees and parks. Tanaarans love their greenery. Now that traditional cars -"groundbounders" as some now term them -are mostly replaced by maglev / antigrav vehicles many of the paved streets have been turned into parks and walking paths, though there is still a lively car culture and automobile racing is very popular - Second only to horse racing and anything to do with horses - Tanaarans are more than a bit 'horse mad'.
Please post your Ambassadors/dresss's name, a small bio, picture links are welcomed, the number of important personnell , the number and armaments carried by security ( both the Protection Detail and Embassy military staff ) Should a nation not wish to post military or security personell the Domination will gladly provide highly trained security forces for a reasonable fee.
The Embassies personnel are not required to live on the Embassies grounds, though given the size of the ground there is more than adequate building space available. Embassies will be build to yur nations specifications by bonded and vetted local contractors under supervision from your nation. . Local schools ( all private ) are exellent, housing is affordable, and crime is virtually non existant. Embassy personnel will be given Resident Diplomat status wich is equal to Resident status, and which grants them unlimited access to Tanaran advanced mdical techology, as well as lower sales and property taxes and very modest - almost token -tuitions.

The reason I am saying that there is no limit on personnel- save “Please be reasonable” – take a look at this Link (http://london.usembassy.gov/ukembabt.html) -there are 10 separate sections, each with their own staffing needs, and 10 ministers – and that is beside the Ambassador, the Consulate General, their staff and families, plus the communications division, the legal division, the FBI, the janitorial services, the protective division, and the Embassy Marines…
