The Guard form the backbone of the Imperial Legion during times of crisis and are always the in the midst of the fighting during times of war.

For their service the brave men who fight for the guard are amongst the most respected soldiers in the Empire, they recieve a standard salary of fifty thousand Darvians a year (79,905 dollars a year, untaxed), full benefits for life, health coverage for your children, in the case of an untimely accident your service full citizenship is automatically confered to your children along with a total of a hundred thousand Darvians (159,810 dollars,untaxed), and upon the end of your service full citizenship and a total of eighty thousand Darvians (127,848 dollars, untaxed).

In addition to everything offered for the Scandinvan Foreign Guard it must be remebered that they are the tip of the blade of the Imperial legion and serve to break through the enemy's line.

A total of two hundred thousand soldiers are wanted to enlist in the Foreign Guard.

Service in the Guard gains you full citizenship!

Requirements to Join the Foreign Guard:

1. Have committed no serious felonies.
2. Have a height of at least 5’10”.
3. Have previously served in a foreign military service for two years.
4. Be at least eighteen years of age.
5. Be willing to fulfill the orders given to them by their superiors.
6. Have no serious health of mental conditions; Meaning that they do not suffer from diabetes, mental insanity, diabetes, asthma, autism, severe physical deformity, retardation, or permanent physical aliment which might impair their ability to serve the legion.
7. Know at least two forms of unarmed martial arts.
8. Posses a fluent understanding of English, Scandinvan, Old Norse, and/or German; for every additional one of these languages that they understand they shall receive one thousand extra Darvians.
9. Be able to run four and a half miles in sixty minutes while dawning full military equipment.
10. Be able to bench press ninety kilograms.

We vow to give quarter to enemies if they surrender, unless if doing so may bring harm to the Empire of the Scandinvans.

We vow to always to show the proper proper conduct of war when we are dealing with civilians and captured prisoners of war.

We vow to uphold the honor, integrity, and dignity of the Empire.

Finally, we pledge our eternal service to the Scandinvan Empire, and its Emperor, till our dying breath passes through our lips.

They have been asked to join your forces as a sign of good will between our nations. If it matters, they almost universally are fluent in English and Norwegian, so learning Northern Germanic languages will be no problem.

5,000 Alversian servicemen would like to join the Imperial Guard. All are proficient in at least two languages and are experts in Karate and Kick-Boxing, the standard martial arts of the Alversian Army.

Receiving your broadcasts, many Gurkhas, to be more precise 21,326, recently or have been discharged from duty would like to continue to serve in the military were offered better benefits from that of the U.S./Roman Army. They meet 8 of the 10 qualifications because the are not able to speak the national language (all speaking their tribal language, Hindi, and Latin) and their height ranges from 5'2" to 5'7". To them height is just a psychical feature, they are tougher and loyal than any other soldier on earth.

With the word of another friendly foreign service coming about, this time that of the Scandinvan Empire, many young Errikan men were eager to join. The compulsory military training for young men meant that the bulk of the Errikan population was eligible, and a full ten thousand young men soon volunteered. As with those joining the other foreign legions, they were overwhelmingly either younger or middle sons or from small families, disappointed at the Imperial Military's current lack of expansion, eager to go out and prove themselves and see the world. The Scandinvans were held in particularly high esteem in the Empire, and many jumped at this opportunity.

Of course Mokans tend to be shorter people, as 5'11" is the average height so only 515 are 5'10" or over.

Many know spanish and English, a few know German.Very well they are accepted into the Scandinvan Foreign Guard, though to sadly note the other thirty five cannot be allocated military positions as the Scandinvan Empire enlists foreign regiments based upon homeland orgin alone and as such cannot produce find a regiment for them to enlist in.

The Kiravian Empire wishes to offer the 19th Viking Company to the Scandinavian Foeign Guard.

Al 700 of these fine men meet the necessary requirements. In addition to their mother tongue, Coscivian, all are fluent in both English and Old Norse, with some who know German and Norwegian. Two additionally know Swedish, one Danish, Faroese, and Greenlandic Norse, and three Icelandic. All are practicing Christians, and 462 have expressed interest in becomeing part of the Scandinavian Catholic Church.

The unit was scheduled to be decommissioned from the 4th Imperial Legion and it men were to be transfered to the Provincial Guard of Ateranda, but we felt that it was much more fitting that these men who have bravely fought for their country abroad be offered the honour of serving with one of our most respected friend sin the international community, rather than 'guarding' a landlocked administrative subdivision of the Kiravian metropole.

The Military Service Act was the very first act to be passed through the National Assembly and affect the Vanteland. Under it, upon turning of age (16) all Vantanians were required to serve at least two years military service, mostly under militias. Most joined the Vantanian Armed Forces. The next biggest chunk went to the three largest militias, the Minutemen, the Minutewomen, and the Patriot Guard. Others joined various special forces, such as city-based artillery or sniping groups, most famously the Golddale Grenadiers. Then, after the national and colonial militias, the rest went to the foreign legions of the world.

The revolutionaries joined the International Brigades, the nerds, geeks, and obese joined the Beatusian Foreign Legion, and retired military forces joined the Greali. However, the Greali Legion could no longer take any more Vantanians, and so former soldiers could either coach recruits in other militias, or form specialist militias. However, now they could also join another elite legion: the Scandinvan. And join they did.

Two thousand Vantanians, most of them of mixed ethnicity (Vante-Scandinvan, Vante-German, etc.), signed up to join. Unfortunately, other than English, their other required languages, Latin and Vanta, would not make them extra, other than the occasional German, Scandinvan, and ever a speaker of Old Norse.
