Turka-Sir Peace Conference

Turka-Sir
02-01-2008, 04:28
Six days ago, coupe leader and self-proclaimed Dictator Halim Jerashaw, was assassinated. Three gunmen broke into the bunker that held the country's fanatical leader and shot dead both Mr. Jerashaw, three political advisors, and the Dictator's bodyguards. Before they could be detained, all three assassins commited suicide with their own weapons. A power vaccum has now been created. Some of Jerashaw's supporters called a day of mourning for their deceased leader, while the dead man's opposition hailed the assassins as martyred heroes and liberators of Turka-Sir.

Peace talks have now been requested to the warring countries of Lorotheon and Scandivan. No current leader holds any power in the country, and talks of an election are running past the mouths of almost every citizen. Perhaps there is hope that Turka-Sir will return to its democratic roots, and with it peace. Several parties have been put forward and candidates for a new president have been selected. However, no elections can take place safely until the differences between all of the countries involved in the Turka-Sirian War have been settled.
