at roughly 20.00 hours it is understood that a nuclear war head in transit accidently detonated. The blast was contained within the restricted airspace testing area however the government has confirmed the blast was at least 1 military installation it is unclear what the repercussions of this incident will be internationally the government released this statement.

"We can confirm that a nuclear war head was accidentally detonated within the nuclear test area at 20.00 hours. We can not confirm the numbers of the blast casualties although we can confirm the blast caught the south west military installation. we will release another statement when more is learnt about the incident"

The government maintains that no nuclear fall out will fall in populated areas and that it was blown south by a southernly wind.

The Barronian Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Control Corps have been brought up to emergency standby status.

Calm, friends. Whilst it is true that this was a clumsy and careless act, it is our duty to ensure that as little harm comes of this as possible.

We will bear this information in mind.The BNBCC are now on full alert. Regular patrols are now in force, a dusk-dawn curfew is in effect, and police are now reliquishing control of our northenmost city to the Barronian Armed Forces. Our northernmost settlements are under immediate evacuation orders.

Imperial Proclamtion to the Citizenry of Alert Status Red

The following is now in effect:

- all Civil Defence units are to report to their posts immediately
- private motor transport is to clear the roads
- all reservists are to report to their units immediately on specially provided government transport
- all 1st and 2nd Echelon units are to go to maximum alert
- a 6pm curfew is now in effect. This will be policed by police, Judges and Wulfen units.
- The Strategic Rocket Forces is to arm all weapons

As the alert sirens wailed out across the city levels, the wall defences began to cycle on-line. Huge steel blast shutters crashed down, and NBC protocols were run through by calmly working troops of the Wall Divisions.
