The Republic of Metarus has an aboriginal claim to the North Pole. Long before our forefathers domesticated the Orca and rode them South to our current home in the region of Pottsylvania, our people lived for hundreds of millenia in the Arctic Circle. The Republic of Metarus insists that its aboriginal claims to the Arctic, specifically the North Pole, be acknowledged and due compensation rendered, no less than 10% of gross, as a result of any mineral or fossil fuel extraction in or around the North Pole.

Due compensation may be rendered in three acceptable denominations: (1) The National Currenty of Metarus (the Goldy), (2) Ben & Jerry Ice Cream (Preferably Chunky Monkey; however, Cherry Garcia Low Fat Frozen Yogurt is totally unacceptable), or (3) Prepaid trips to the Moonlit Bunny Ranch outside Carson City, Nevada for our politicians and their guests.
