Scramble for Uranium Isles
SilentScope003

Long has Uranium Isles has lain away, hidden from the rest of the world and her vast resources go untapped for the greater good of the world. But, yet times change and no longer can this continue as the demand of the wealthier and more powerful nations of the world increases so shall the supply has to also grow no matter what the cost.
But offically wasn't called Uranium Isles. The natives called it "Sancutry". They knew no nukes, bombs, and endless fighting. They didn't advance in tech, they didn't have Uranium. It was not even an anarchy, the natives lived in peace and knew no fighting or violence. A socialist paradise, with PT tech.
SilentScope003 Geographic made a 5-page story on this native society and how perfect it was. Wait, I'm wrong. They weren't there for the natives. They were there for the Purple-Spotted Frog, one of the rarest frogs at all. They love that frog very much so, and talked about how perfect it was, only devoted one paragraph to the native society. The reporters also state that they call it Uranium Isles though, because they personally felt Sancutry was a very lame name. They also stated that Uranium Isles having lots of natural resources, especially uranium...
This bodes ill for the natives. It is said that had nobody ever made a news report about Sancutry, nobody would have ever enslaved them.

Rules
God Modding Allowed.
Establish a colony and run it according to your own warped political ideals. Care for the native or deliberately oppress them. It's really up to you.
Resources are marked on the map. Anywhere with mountains=resources.
To make a claim we request that you RP your nation's arrival well, but it is not required.
As for all those 'fun' stuff about colonies (genocide, enviromental destruction, warfare)...do as you like. Your colony, your rules.
Claims are up for grabs 'till I finalize them.
Note: Please make claims reasonable and allow room for other players, Thank you.
Note2: Uranium Isles only have a limited amount of natural resources. Each mountain holds a total of about 500,000 tons of natural resources (half uranium, half other resources). Once you mine a mountain full of resources, it's gone. Forever. Natural Resources do not regenerate.
Note3: Uranium Isles has a very delicate ecosystem, where the humans eat foods such as Purple-Spotted Frogs. Destroy it, and you'll likely enough cause mass starvation on the island, making it easy to secure the island for mining purposes...
[OOC: If you are wondering, yes, this is a satire of claim threads.]

The Cookboroughans had arrived from the North. It was early in the day, for the sun was just rising from the east. The air was still thick with moisture. Soon it would all burn off and the day would be hot.
They landed on the beaches, a few soldiers and set out to explore the new lands. In front of them they saw large mountains headed in the southernly direction, and so that was the way they would go.
Is this still open for claims?

No one really understood how, but apparently Jimmy James, owner of Jimmy James Industries won the Beatusian claims on Uranium Isles in a poker game.
Hours later, helicopters, bearing the Jimmy James Industries logo, with the slogan "Jimmy James: the man so nice they named him twice," on the side, landed on the coast, and unloaded men carrying assault rifles. The colonial government would be run by the Colonizing Department of Jimmy James Industries. They set out to explore, and map the companies claims. So after they landed, a dozen helicopters, flew in, each carrying a section of a house. When they unloaded they're sections, construction crews began assembling the separate pieces, and within three hours, James Manor was complete. Just in time for Mr. James, whose helicopter arrived just moments after the last worker left the manor.

Bombers flew low over OIly PRata's claim, dropping napalm over selected areas to burn away foilage blocking the settlements and mines. Quite a few natives died, but that was the price for progress. A CVN squadron launched its troopships and landing boats at the shore, while heavy-lift helos carried PreFab sections of the colony, mine, and military base. WIthin two weeks, the entire mine and most of the habitation area was constructed, with work on the base and port proceeding as scheduled. The landing strip would come later, but for now helicopters and airships were the prime air transport in Axelia.
The ships started arriving on both sides. The first establishment was set up on the east side. A company of L8 2045s went into the jungles to see scout out the land. A group of negotiators, translaters, and around sixty soldiers went into the mountian range to find any natives and to possibly trade with them or make alliances or war deals with them. And if any of the natives gave them a problem they would find themselves staring down the barrels of fifty AK-47s. In this claims rush, the Grestonians wanted to look like the good people to the natives. Instead of bombing them for no reason and doing genocide, they would trade, and invite the natives in.

Just a day after Mr. James arrived, preparations began for the construction of the Jimmy James Towers, (see picture of model below). It would be 200 stories high, have 14 swimming pools, 2 golf courses, a food court, its own justice system, two floors devoted entirely to dogs, and the worlds largest disco. This would be Mr. James' legacy. That day, Dave Nelson, Mr. James' most trusted employee, arrived to listen to Mr. James' outrageous schemes.

Unknown Lands
10:45 AM Local Time
The Cookboroughan troops had come down from the mountains to a large city. They were now joined by a convoy of tanks that had quickly crossed over the mountains. While they had been up on the peaks they had noticed one thing off in the distance lay a great city...
The convoy of tanks and jeeps headed down the mountain trail until them came to a street sign marked "Giamu Laebrough > 5 Sebuti"
"Che cosa è Laebrough? O, quello deve essere il nome della città." said one of the soldiers marching on foot
Laebrough
10:46 AM Local Time
The Tisroc sat dozing in his hammock at the top the hill of of Laebrough in the Blessed Land of the Purple-Spotted Frog, Sancutry. The day had been a very peaceful one, or at least for him anyways. Most days were nowadays, the Hardin and council looked over the city and it's affairs, although he did have a great deal of authority and power over them.
Long had his family ruled over Laebrough and it's environs. They had successfully subdued all who had opposed them and their rule and made the city a major hub of commerce and trade, in fact it was known as "the Golden City" by those who approched it from foreign lands.
He awoke to find his eldest son, Basir fast approaching. "Pardon, o great one who rules over the Golden Lands of Sancutry"
"Yes, my son what is it?"
"Sire, there is a group of mechanical beast nearing the city from the north!"
"What!?, begone! and take this talk of foolishness away from my presence."
"Forgive me my father, who is worthy of all praises, but I do not lie."
The Tisroc looked into his son's eyes and saw there was no falsehoods in what he had said
The city of Laebrough was build at the foot of a mountain on a small hill surrounded by serengeti plains, with the Tisroc's palace being at the top. The Tisroc looked out from his garden's wall and saw the convoy quickly intruding into his domain.
"Send forth the horsemen, the guards, the legions!"
Soon the troops were mustered and waiting the mechanical beasts, they formed into their lines. Two messengers were sent out to meet the oncoming force.
The Norlands

Representative Assembly Hall, Gottesstadt, The Holy Democracy of The Norlands
The bass was pumping. Over the communication system speakers of his bedchamber, Democratic Overseer John Joakim Skillman II played Sail, by Armin Van Buuren, reveling in its epic sound. He had brushed his teeth, and was naked, heading to bed. He moved over to turn of the music, when it suddenly stopped, and the voice of his secretary, Arnold Perezone Wallace, cut through the silence. “Sir, please report to the conference room. The International Affairs Advisor has a plea of sorts.”
John sprung into action. Grabbing a pair of black denim jeans, donning a t-shirt, putting on socks and slipping into a pair of combat boots, he swiftly made his exit, arriving at the conference room in a matter of minutes.
Entering, he saw, as usual, all of his advisors and officers rise, saluting, all dressed in suits or dress uniforms. Saluting back, he motioned for them to sit, and said, “Sisters, brothers, please excuse my dress. I came as soon as I could.” Turning to the International Affairs Advisor, he asked, “What crisis faces us tonight, Anjelina?”
“Not far from our shores lies a small group of islands called Sancutry. Due to recent media coverage exposing its large stores of Uranium, there has been a swarm of colonization activity in the region,” replied Advisor Anjelina Molkovich Lyubich.
“What is the intent of the colonization?”
“It is not quite clear. Some of the colonizing nations appear to be decent, democratic nations, respectful of the People, but this does not mean they would not usurp natives for the sake of economic gain. Many of the colonizers, though, are authoritarian or capitalist states, or worse, corporations. There are reports that large scale air-to-ground attacks have already been carried out by The Republic of Oily prata. A certain Jimmy James from The Republic of the Beatus seems to be colonizing in his name, though his plans thus far look, quite frankly, ludicrous. It seems likely that many of these nations will slaughter or enslave the natives of Sancutry. Though they do not know it yet, I was of the opinion that they would soon need great help.”
“So I too opine. I do not wish for The Norlands to become entrenched in colonial warfare, nor do I wish to gain it territory. However, I feel that our brothers and sisters need our help to be freed from the colonial menace, and propose that we rescue them, and bring them to our glorious homeland. Is my soul seated right?”
“Yes!” rang out from the group of officers and advisors.
“Luther, how do you propose we accomplish this?”
High Commandant Luther Agrawal Nehi, of the Security Force, stood up. “The fastest and most efficient method by which to rescue the Sancutrians would be by mass helicopter lift. It seems that, except in the towns and cities, the population is very thinly spread. While I wish to rescue every brother and sister of mine on the land, it would be too risky to hunt all over the land for them. Thus, I propose that we focus on towns and cities, evacuating the people there en masse. Glerk, the capitol, and Derk have yet to be claimed, and we see no signs of military. Thus I wish to send a brigade each of recruits in training to evacuate those areas, as it will gain them experience, and I do not anticipate any threat. The Communist Dominion of Stoklomolvi, judged by Anjelina to truly be an corrupt capitalist nation, has laid claim to Wyckfolk, as have the capitalists of The Imperial Province of Skgorria to Notden. Neither colonizer has yet laid down military force, nor so far as we can tell any sort of colonizing party. It seems fairly safe to assign to each of these cities a less-experienced rescue brigade, to gain them mission experience. Finally, The Armed Republic of Greater Headhunters has seized land containing Werfast and Bunness, and is rapidly deploying soldiers there. It may be risky, but I wish to infiltrate two veteran brigades to fly in and see if they cannot rescue some people from sure slavery.”
Anjelina stood up. “There is one more city, but for now we feel that its holder is benevolent, and that there is no need to help those people.”
John Skillman stood and addressed his staff. “Luther has a feasible plan. I hereby amend it: we shall, to the greatest extent possible, use international airspace in approaching the cities. We shall, with the exception of unclaimed territories, only rescue at night. Should our forces come under fire, it shall only be returned so much as to ensure survival; also, if attacked, retreat to The Norlands shall immediately follow any defensive measures, for I want every Norlandsite to return in good health. Finally, no natives shall be killed unless they attack. They will not be forced to come, but nonviolent intimidation will be authorized, seeing as we are saving them from certain doom. Make sure a vote is asked of the public tomorrow morning regarding the continuation of this aid effort. Tomorrow I shall issue a public statement. All agreed?”
All agreed. John turned to Luther Nehi, asking “Is the plan ready to begin?”
“The helicopters are being fueled, the soldiers are eating and getting organized.”
“Excellent. Allow me to fly with you to the airfield. Arnold, please bring my greatcoat.”
The meeting adjourned, and salutes were raised. Many advisors hurried home on the trains and streetcars to kiss their sleeping children and to slip into bed, comforted by the presence of their loving partner. But John, Arnold, and Luther had yet to be done for the night.

Security Force Airfield, Gottesstadt, The Holy Democracy of The Norlands
The wind was whipping, and Democratic Overseer John Joakim Skillman II had his greatcoat wrapped tightly around him, as much to keep the bitter cold from his skinny frame as to look suitably dressed, in light of his t-shirt and jeans. He stood in front of a microphone, High Commandant Luther Agrawal Nehi at his side, his voice blasting from loudspeakers and heard in every airman’s headset. They all stood at ease, listening to him speak, eleven-thousand five-hundred twenty men and women, each in body armour and carrying an M16A2 assault rifle. They stood next to their metal steeds, one-thousand nine-hundred twenty MH-53J helicopters, each armoured, outfitted with three GAU-18/A medium machine guns, and capable of transporting thirty-eight people through the dark, low to the ground, due to the sensor suite.
John brought his speech to an end. “…through darkest night, you shall prevail, for El Shaddai watches over us, ever-loving. Go, go to help your sisters and brothers in distress; be the shining light of God. I wish and pray for every one of you that you might return to your loved ones, to children and family, to friends, to serve further for love. Allahu Akbar! Rejoice in Service!”
The seventeen year-old John saluted, and more than eleven-thousand hands rose with his. He stepped down. Nehi gave some final instructions, and soon the Norlandsites were boarding, and the deafening roar of the helicopters filled the air as they flew out to aid the oppressed.
John went back to his chamber, prayed, and fell asleep.

The group did eventually meet some natives. They exchanged beads and stories. From the session the Grestonians learned that there was alot of Uranium in the mountains. But of course each mountain had a limited supply and the claim was fairly small. It was all of the land surrounding The Beatus. It bordered The Beatus claim and the Greater Headhunters claim. It went up to the Orzio claim. But there wasn't much mountians in it. The best thing they could do would be to make an alliance with The Beatus then have both Grestonians and The Beatus soldiers move up and take the moutains surrounding the Greater Headhunters' claim.

He truned around and saw one of his sheiks, Qu'yar Al-najar, who ruled the lands south of the Golden City and had loyally payed tribute to him for years facing him
"What is the meaning of this!?"
"O one who ruled the Golden City in the blessed lands of the Purple-Spotted Frog, I am now Tisroc."
Qu'yar's bodyguards quickly subdued and bound his arms and soon other guards now approached with the rest of the Royal Family, his full grown son Basir, his daughter Fatima a couple years younger, and his youngest son Hasim, 18. The Wolven forces had been careful as they approached the shore, for they did not know who was there, and if indeed there would be effective resistance. Flyovers had reported that a native army was massing at Notden, so the ships headed to land 10 miles to the north and 10 miles to the south. As they neared the coast native messengers ran back to their rulers, speaking of great demons that landed on the shores and vomited forth men.
"The invaders will pay!" The tribal leader screamed, "they cannot defile our sacred land. Gather your weapons proud men, and let us send these beasts back to the sea in the name of the Purple-Spotted Frog!"
"For the purple-spotted frog!" Came back the cry from the assembled warriors, their eyes burning with religious fervour. As the war host marched from the city, it split in two halves, one heading for the north, the other for the south. Chariots raced back and forth, and men sang war songs as they marched to deal death to the infidel.
The Wolven commanders had prepared for this eventuality, and thus the first wave was armed to the teeth. Soldiers hurriedly began digging trenches and foxholes as tanks and artillery rolled off the transports, and back at the fleet the Wolven Naval Air Arm began to respond...

The Tisroc awoke and he ached all over, he had fallen a great distance but his family had somehow survived. He was now laying down and something was supporting his head. There was a pale skinned lady looking over him and he heard "Sta svegliando" in some foreign tongue.
He saw his children and his wife standing by his side with ashen faces, "What is wrong o, joys of my life and being?"
"It is Muezzah*, she has gone to the next life."
The Tisroc's mother, the Lady Sumayya had died from the fall...
Then the Tisroc got up and walked to the edge of the camp and mourned the loss of her. He startled by his surroundings, here there were paler peoples walking right next to the mechanical beasts!
What had happened when the Tisroc and his family had been he had fallen into a house of a man still honored him. He smuggled them out in a cart with his family and they rode to the camp of the mechanical beasts before the Sheik had closed the city gates...but the Sheik had seen their exit and then had been set after by his troops.
Their only hope was to ride where they would not follow, the direction of the mechanical beasts and so they rode.
The Cookboroughans saw them being chased and headed for them and went after to intercept. As the Sheik's troops saw the jeeps, some of the the mechanical monsters, approach they fled. The fugitives kep going onward and saw there were people in them!
The jeeps drove until the met the wagon and slowed to a halt.
"Hello? Do you speak English? Parlano Italiano?"
The groups had had to communicate via miming for the time being. So the had seen there were injured amoung them and them brought them back to the convoy and made camp.
Behind them were the shadows of the mountains and several miles off in the distance stood Laebrough, the Golden City of the Blessed Land of the Purple-Spotted Frog, his gem, his city in the last lights of the setting sun.
"I will make you mine again." he said to himself pulling himself together with a vengence he had not known before

IC: Both war parties approached the Wolven beachheads at roughly the same time, and very similar scenes unfolded. The Colonel in charge of each beachhead reported massed formations moving towards their positions, and clearance was given to open fire. Artillery shells screamed down to detonate in the native army, a prime target in their massed ranks.
"Forward, crush the devils!" Cried many of the natives, and so they charged into the teeth of the Wolven army. Many were killed by the guns of the few T-95 battle tanks that had made it ashore, more still were felled by automatic weapons fire from the soldiers, but what finally broke the natives was the appearance of Ka-50 gunships. The sky devils rained down fire on them, and few survived.
The Wolven continued to gather their strength, and prepared to press on Nogden as word of the defeat reached there...

Hundreds of people stood on the docks and, being the well-wishers they were, waved their hands and blew kisses towards those on the ships about to depart. Two thousand and three hundred people had volunteered for this colony, which was more than had originally been planned for, but the adjustments had been made. Great supplies of food, water, equipment, livestock, and more had been piled into the ships by the tons. In all, the convoy was made up of 10 cargo ships, 3 cruiseliners (to provide the last bits of luxary the colonists would have for a long time, as well as 150 soldiers), the OIS Norton escort-carrier, and three destroyers. Among the ships they had everything they needed to make their pre-fabricated colony, and hopefully live peacefully among the natives and other colonists from other nations.

If all you wish to do is colonise, then simply move your people to the plains in the north and the west. Imperial Isa can keep the hills for the uranium. If you want the natives protected, make it a joint military venture between the two countrys of Imperial Isa and Stoklomolvi to protect all native populations.

The remmnants of the native armies had fled back to Nogden, and quickly the gates had been sealed. The native king made an impassioned plea to the people to not let the city fall, and with much cheering the populace sealed the gates, manned the wall and prepared for a siege.
They would not get one.
The defenders of Nogden, mostly old men, women and children now that the bulk of the menfolk had been wiped out, did not see wave after wave of angry warriors or demons as they had expected. Nor did the foul sky beasts appear from beyond the clouds. Instead they saw a few warriors and metal demons pulling a larger beast until it was roughly ten miles from the city limits, on top of a large hill. They then swarmed around it as it began to stand up.
"Cowards!" Called out the king as he strode the walls, sword in hand, "they dare not approach closer!" Many close to him laughed, but those who had escaped the slaughter earlier did not laugh. They knew that the men who came from beyond the sea had capabilities beyond that which the Frog had chosen to reveal to the Nogdenese.
The beast that the Wolven troops were moving was not a beast at all, but rather an M-65 "Godhammer" artillery piece. Requiring a crew of nearly thirty to drive, set up, load and fire, it had not been fired in anger since the conquest of Die Boerstaat. Accompanying it was a platoon of mechanised infantry, who watched the rolling plains for any sign of the enemy. After twenty minutes, the signal was given.
"All clear!"
"Ready to fire."
"Firing!"
The defenders in the city had time to jerk from the shock of hearing the weapon fire before the shell hit. It was a twenty kiloton warhead, and the ensuing fireball reduced the proud civilisation of the Nogdenese to burning, radioactive dust.
The Wolven troops then began to push inland, taking great care to dress in NBC gear. A message was broadcast on an open radioactive channel to warn anyone downwind.
Now hear this, now hear this. A nuclear detonation has taken place in grid 0803. Recommend NBC gear.

Cookboroughan Camp
5 miles from Laebrough
The sun had risen over the Plains of Darajina, warming it from a rather cool night today would be a very hot day. It could be felt in the air. The plains, the dry grass even the burning sun over head were silent not a sound came from the city or it’s environs. Soon the camp was awake and moving, voices talking to break the utter muteness of the surrounding areas.
The Head of the Cookboroughan forces, Colonel Antonio DiClaro had just radioed the ships off the northern coast of North Uranium Isle. He knew something was not right, why else would those people be leaving the city?
The ones chasing them had felt after they saw the jeeps, who knows what would happen if they saw some planes…
Soon enough a squadron of Falconos had been set off from the ships and was headed directly for the City
Laebrough
Sheik Qu'yar Al-najar’s banner fluttered over the city, now it was his. For years the Tisroc and his people had grown fat off the workings of his tribe, the al-Hamani, long had they suffered trying to pay his tribute.
No more would the tribes of Sancutry would live under the heel of these people! It had been simple, he had been waiting for this for years placing people in key positions, bribery of the guards…
Qu’yar had begun banishing the the people of Laebrough to the south to eke a living, now they would know their hardships!
Then there was a roar over Laebrough, startling the Sheik off his seat Janish sala gushhah !?* he yelled. The Falconos passed over the city headed south and then returning to the northern coast of the land.
“Now, we defeat the mechanical monsters and rid of our sacred land of the Purple-Spotted Frog! He then send for his general, “Call the troops, now we attack these accursed metal monsters.”
En route to Laebrough
The convoy ventured on from where they had camped, the Tisroc rode with them, while his family remained behind at camp. He could communicate with these people barely by miming what he wanted, but was trying to learn their tongue. Apparently they spoke two…which he thought was odd.
The city loomed in the distance he could now see there was a greeting party consisting of 2 bawegamu warriors mounted on Lums (http://www.flmnh.ufl.edu/ponyexpress/pony9_1/pe91archeohippusspots_copy.gif), and then 4 bawegamu of spearmen and archers. These people had no idea what they were getting themselves into!
Some arrows and a spear flew through the air , and then convoy of tanks and armored vehicles reorganized itself into a horizontal line to face them head on. It would be a fight to the end…

Several Hippo-Class Helicopters took off from the GWO Fleet, each one carrying either vehicles, tents, troops, miners, or various supplies. The Marines on the shore had already secured a perimeter, not finding any sign of humans. As more troops and supplies came in, they began to meet the people of Glerk. The Marine Colonel in charge of this expedition sat down with the village cheif and began discussing occupation, annexation, and other terms. He was candy-coating GWO Citizenship.
Giant tents were set up all over the GWO Claim on the island, and the miners began tearing into the hills and mountains while Marines patrolled the claim.
Several other nation's ships and planes appeared on the radar of the carrier Norton, having made the journey without event. Now came the work. Four helicopters took off from the carrier, carrying the soldiers aboard. They would make landfall on the smoothest part of the beach, scout it out, then relay their findings to the rest of the convoy, which would begin shuttling in supplies and the rest of the soldiers, and when all was safe, finally the settlers and their supplies.
On the shore, the soldiers found a remenant of a cannoe, as well as some broken pots, along with footprints leading away from the beach. They scoured the area, but did not find anyone. Radioing back, they reported that there was native life in the area, though no contact made yet. Contrary to the other groups, the Orzi settlers would first try to find a way to live with the natives, instead of shooting first.

The GWO Force had already rigged the village up with propaganda speakers. Mining operations were bringing in more Uranium and other metals in daily, and some Natives were signing up to assist, as the GWO was treating them kindly. The village cheif was the first Native islander to own a car, which happened to be a Jeep bought from the Marine Corps. Several arms manufacturing plants were built, shipping out weapons for the GWO Military nearly nonstop. Docks were quickly set out, and the ships were parked near the shore.
The main thing being built, however, was the Command Tower. Each GWO city had one. It was essentially the City Hall, and it's height was determined by the size of the town it was over. Since this village was small, the Tower was only to be 24 stories tall. Construction workers only had 4 floors done.
A harbour had finally been established and a small city had been made on the flat lands. They started building roads and other things only according to the natives. James Orcia recieved a message from The Beatus to go to a poker game in the James Tower so they hopped upon a L8 2048 and drove the short drive to the James Tower.

Outside the walls of Laebrough
The Cookboroghans faced the Sheik's troops and there was a great pause, neither side moved, a short breeze drifted across the no man's land that had formed between them. Then the both sides charged at one another, and the Cookboroughan Armed vehicles quickly gained an upper hand.
The natives, armed with only spears and arrows were no match for armored tanks. The battle quickly became a slaughter, with in minutes of pounding those who were left alive fled. With the majority of the army gone the force tried to enter the city.
A solitary figure stood preventing them from doing so. It was Sheik Qu'yar Al-najar himself, blocking the way into the city. It would have been easy just to shoot him on the spot, but then the Tisroc got out of one of the jeeps he had been in.
Armed with his only his sword he approached his enemy, the latter also armed with only sword. Now, the Tisroc was not as young a man as he had been but was still known to be good with a sword. Quickly the Tisroc engaged the other in battle. The two fought like the end of the world was upon them, each having his own reasons. Both fueled by revenge who would come out on top?
Parry after parry, dodge and thrust, the battle was back and forth, but then the Sheik made a move the wrong way and miscalculated his opponente….it cost him his life. He lay in a pool of his own blood defeated, ruling the Golden City for only a day.
The Tisroc roared out in victory "Dahlemah! Dahlemah!"* , and took his opponent’s sword. He entered the threshold of his city, now a bleak one.
With the Tisroc’s victory the Cookboroughan entered into the city…

The GWO attempt at colonizing the island had been successful. Until now. The Command Tower had been completed, and another 13 floors were being added. It was tiny compared to the Jimmy James Towers, but who cared? Either way, the shit hit the fan for the villagers. A Marine's dead body had been found near the enterance to a mine. He had been stabbed in the back with a spear, and then shot in the back of the head (Right below the helmet) with his own MI-P57 pistol. His MI-8 Carbine was nowhere in sight, and neither was his pistol, or the spear used to stab him. The Villagers would soon become the newest addition to the subject list of the *Federal Guard's **Judiciator Division. Sinister black vehicles ranging from utility helicopters to vans and armored personnel carriers began their watch over the citizens of Glerk, and each house had been ransacked several times within a week by Federal Guardsmen. Laebrough
Late Morning
Now, the Cookboroughans had only seen Laebrough from a distance and would not have known why its inhabitants referred to it as the “Golden City” there would be not doubt now…
The City was almost completely made of precious metals and stones. It was a dazzling site to behold. Over the centuries it had existed, Laebrough had become a very rich trade empire and was surrounded by mountains full of resources. The Tisroc beckoned them to come with him. The streets were not wide enough for the tanks, so they parked them outside the walls.
The city entrance contained a solid gold statue of one of the Tisroc’s ancestors. It was written in a language that was unreadable to all. They followed the Tisroc through the city up to where his palace was. Slowly as more and more citizens discovered that danger had passed them the came out of the city to see these strange newcomers. The city was filled with temples and large buildings for unknown purposes.
The higher terraces in the city grew more and more grand, houses made of polished silver and shone in the early morning light. These houses contained strange fowl and gardens of multi-shaped fruits.
They reached the top and were welcomed in to his home and a feast was held!
Later….
After the feast the Colonel stood on the balcony and looked out to the plains, this must be what it felt like to be on top of the world
The group that was sent to look for natives and other things was still looking only they were accompanied by a few Sheiks that they had meet in the jungle. "So, how is it, what is it like over here? Is there any things important to you people such as gods, and possibly temples and stuff?" asked George Winsluk to one of the Sheiks as they walked through the jungle. The Sheik answered him in another language and a translater translated it to George. "He said that they have a few gods. Their largest temple is a bit north from here, he said it is made of gold." The translater then asked the sheik himself a question and the sheik answered. "George you're going to want to hear this. Hes said that they no longer own the gold palace, it was taken by people like us, meaning a colonizer, and the only act of war I know about it that Cookborough attacked someone. God no. George do you think Cookborough took the palace?" "From the way it sounds I am guessing yes. Let's get back to camp."
Later the group returned to the main establishment and a message was relayed to James Orcia who was playing poker in the Jimmy James Tower. Later the message was sent out. The Greston colony would pear up with Sheiks and attack the city now owned by Cookborough.

OOC: Wow, forgot about this. Time for "Lolcolonisation"
IC:
With the destruction of Nogden, it was a relatively simple affair to pacify the few pitiful remenants of the native civilisation. Given the lack of education found amongst the natives, it would be impractical to enslave them and send them off to work in the massive factories of Airstrip One. Instead, they were all loaded off onto huge ships and sent back to Skgorria. Bodies were always needed there, for one reason or another.
In the meantime, the Wolven sector of the island was flooded with three hundred thousand members of the armed forces and a relatively small colonial population of twenty thousand settlers. Most had come from Imperial Eurasia or China, though one or two were political exiles.

Laebrough
Several Months later...
Laebrough truly was a gem, both literally and figuratively, for the city also had vast stores of information on surrounding lands, histories, and maps of the Azakani's surrounding territories. The Azakani were the Tisroc and his people's name for themselves and their language.
They truely were a remarkable people also, showing great prowess in the linguistic fields. Many of them were now speaking fluent Azakani and Italian as well as some English. The Cookboroughans of whom there were more now had started to learn Azakani, with some difficulty, it was different than what they were used to.
The city and surrounding areas had been slightly reorganized, the Tisroc agreed to bring the surrounding areas as part of his domain and had signed a treaty with the Cookboroughan government. The Kingdom of Habasha* had been created as a result, with Laebrough it's capital. The treaty allowed the Tisroc full control of Habasha, with Cookborough providing it's protection. Word had some how reached the outside colonies, why just last month the Grestonians had tried to invade Habasha with the rememnants of the Sheik's family, allies, and supporters.
They had been repelled of course, but still security had been boosted twenty-fold at least since then. The Southern Coast had been mined and was currently patrolled by subs and now had stations of guards to patrol the beaches as well as the occasional airfield.
The Tisroc was very pleased with the agreements he had made, and to his delight had been asked by the President to make an official state visit next month. He had greatly desired to see the land of the foreigners.
(*"home of the Azakani" in Azakani)
The settlement had progressed on schedule for the Orzi settlers and their security forces. After living here some weeks, the settlers started referring to their settlement as Horizon instead of Uranium Isle. All the basic necessities had been met and were continually being taken care of, both from the few resources found on the island as well as shipments from the homeland. The settlers had been able to come to an understanding with the natives for the most part, basically one that left each other alone after a small fight left 10 natives and 6 settlers dead. The natives would be left in their city and allowed movement through the norther Orzi territory, while the settlers mainly held the mountains and southern regions. Trade passed between both groups, though it sometimes got testy.
In the bi-weekly town meeting, a proposal was made to expand the southern border to include more of the surrounding fields in order to grow crops, an attempt to attain a better sense of self-sustainment in case it was needed. As of now, the Orzi settlers claim five additional markers on the map, south of the position on the previous map.

Leorovok, Grestonian Colony
The Grestonians had gotten 1,000 natives to side with them to help fight for the Golden City, but that was only natives in their area if they got all of the natives in the surrounding area and the natives that retreated they would have around 7,600 natives. The group was sent back out to find and get those natives. In the end they did and got around 6,000 more natives to help fight. They gave the natives the extra stocks of guns so they didn't have to fight with spear. Then 10,000 Grestonians and 100 tanks were prepared to fight for the city. They would celebrate the new year then on the second day of 2008 they would fight for the city.

The GWO Colonel in charge of the colony was sitting in the Command Tower, filling out various papers and reports. A Corporal rushed into his office and announced, "Sir! The miners say they've found some sort of underground passageway, with a good amount of Quartz. You might want to come see this!"
The Colonel darted out of the door and into the Corporal's jeep. He was then driven to the mine where the founding was, and escorted inside by an Element of Marines. Since no light at all was in the passage, image brighteners were ineffective. Thus, flashlights would have to be used. The group passed through the tunnel, leading to a large room. Numerous rocks with precious metals dotted the floor and walls, but many had been mined by Native miners. Gems were also abundant. "Cookborough found a so-called "City of Gold," if I'm correct," said the Colonel. "I think we just found the source."
Miners began flocking to the precious metals, planting lights and cables all through the caverns, bringing cartloads of precious metals out of the mine. The town of Glerk started becoming another "City of Gold" on the Uranium Isles.

The game of poker is played with cards, and the goal is to have the best hand, by having a combination of cards that is better than all the other players that is, but you do not know what cards they have, so you need to attempt to guess how good they're had is by how they bet, and then bet accordingly. It is very difficult to explain with words, if we could show you it would be much easier. We hope this has helped.
Signed,
Mr. Jimmy James

To Governess Amelia S. Blunderbloom,
I await your arrival, also the heliport is located to the west side of the tower. We would have put it on the roof, but we found that helicopter engines did not work well at that altitude due to the lack of sufficient air to create lift with the rotors.
Signed,
Jimmy James
P.S. you may want to bring money with you, no limits on the bets.

Getting off the helicoptor, Ms. Blunderbloom looked about. She was surprised by the amount of land that the tower took up and how tall it was. A servant ran to greet her, helping with the luggage and coats. The servant called two more servants over to help the disembarking passengers. Then another servant was called to get drinks for all the passengers and the pilots.
Governess Blunderbloom was happy with the cleanliness of the landing pad. A servant came with drinks and she took a large Banana Daquire from the tray. She liked that the servants were prompt. She didnt know what this Mr. Jimmy James was like, but judging by the Tower, she expected him to be a very intelligent man. She just hoped that poker turned out to be a fun game, barring that, she hoped she won a lot of money.
Manager Zypendel Von Humboldt, Transportation Department, was quite pleased with the size of the Helipad. He was also pleased to note that the road systems sorounding the Jimmy James Tower was large, clean and in excellent repair. As he sipped a small measure of Jack Daniel's Whiskey, he realized that not all of the roads were roads, many of them were also railways. Humboldt chuckled, delighted that this Jimmy James took care of the public's transportation needs. It nearly rivaled Greater Headhunters transportation system.
General Darius Oval, Department of Defence, stared at the two batteries of anti-aircraft cannons. He had seen that this Jimmy James had a lot of firepower. He wasnt the least bit happy about this. Greater Headhunters would need to build up an even greater army. His attention was brought to the security guards. He watched the security guards, they were flawless and moved with practiced ease. Not good, thought Oval, he took a great big gulp of beer to make himself feel better. Patting his Blade MkII Pistol with his right hand, he made sure that his Yanitarian made knife was next to the Pistol. He didnt want any of these bozo "security guards" giving him any trouble. Oval could tell they were soldiers.

Jimmy was quickly down to the pad to meet the newest arrivals. "Hello," he said, "and welcome to the Jimmy James Towers. I am Mr. James, but you can call me Jimmy," he said reaching his hand out toward Oval first for a handshake.

Oval nearly shat himself, as he took Jimmy's hand. The man had a huge presence, acting much more like a CEO of a megacompany then the Governer of this colony.

The citizens of Glerk were most likely the best living citizens on the Uranium Isles. Their city had been turned into a series of modern buildings, including hospitals, office buildings, temperature sealed buildings, car dealerships, and a small military base. Since International Waters blocked islands off from one another, the GWO had to place a small garrison on each island it owned. However, each island belonged to a group of islands, which is equivalent to a land-based Province.
Then, the citizens of another town, as well as those whom had been forced out by other colonists, allied.
Nearly 110,000 Natives surrounded Glerk. The citizens were obviously worried, and several patrol teams away from the town had been overwhelmed. Obviously, 7-man teams wouldn't be able to stand against such a massive amount of Natives. Hearing this, the other patrol teams headed into either the city or to the Mines. The Mines were put on lockdown as the Protection Garrison was mobilized. Since construction had not finished the fortress-grade walls (Except for 80% of the exterior wall) that divided each city in the GWO, the city wasn't able to be put on a quality lockdown. Soldiers began ordering people into underground bunkers, which are kept in each city in case of a nuclear scare. As most of the citizens hurried into the protection of bunkers, the men grabbed either spears or rifles bought from the weapons plants and marched alongside the Marines and Army members. The Native force closed in on the massive exterior walls, which had machine gun ports inside of it. As they came into firing distance, the troops manning the machine guns opened fire. THe military was outnumbered by the thousands, but they had pure firepower and technology on their side. The armed civilians stood at the several blast gates in the wall across the city, waiting for the massive metal doors to be breached. Soldiers stood with them, manning sandbag fortifcations and pillboxes in parks.
In non war-related news, the Glerk Civilian Control Unit has officially been established! However, the city is no longer officially named Glerk. It is now "ATLANTIC AUXILIARY OCEAN ISLAND GROUP 32, CITY 41" or Atlantic City 41 for short. Or just City 41. However, it wasn't the only City 41. There were numerous 41's all over the GWO, each in a different province. So if you're talking about Glerk, and nothing before your statement about it showed it was specifically Glerk, you'd better say the short long name, Atlantic Group 32's City 41, or something similar.
Thus, the CCU's full name is AG32C41CCU, although it only says GCCU on the side of cruisers, as Glerk is the small name for the city. However, on the massive fortress-walls being made, it does indeed say the full name.
