Apocalypse Arrival...(Intro FT)

A random unexplored system with one habitable planet

The planet was very Earth-like in almost every way. Inhabited by a species of large reptiles at a 1950s level of technology, it was almost serene in a way.

That is, until the single probe hyperjumped in. It took a split-second of scanning, but the newly christened System-1308's fate was calculated in a millisecond. The probe self-destructed and a small task force was dispatched.

Three hours later, a flotilla of four destroyer's and ten frigates hyperjumped in. They rapidly approached the planet, ignoring all the radio calls of greetings when they passed the moon, and released their weapons.

A hour later, it was pretty much over. Every major population center had been annihilated by 80 megaton pure-fusion nuclear weapons. Then the factory-ships hyperjumped in and moved into orbit. Their drop pods fell too the perimeter of the centers and the populations rounded up by the mechanical armies of the Heart of Armaggeddon.

Quickly, the few reptillians who attempted too resist were cut down by the androids handheld automatic gauss guns. The rest were marched off too the spots where the factory ships were landing. The reptillians were then marched into massive incinerators where they were promptly vaporised, their matter turned into useful construction products.

It took all of 7.9 hours, but everyone of the reptillians on the planet was already dead, excepting the randomly selected ones too be scientifically experimented on.

The colonies construction was begun and soon the planet would be another member of the Heart of Armaggeddon...

It was all done in the name of humanity.

OOC: No 'OMGZ!D3STR0YH1M!' when you arrive. The planets population is already dead and the only evidence they were ever there are the rapidly-being-recycled-ruins.

And now for some background on the HOA.

The Heart of Armaggeddon is a organisation founded by humans and run by humans. They believe that the Universe exists solely for humanity, that humanity is destined to rule it. Their leaders, however, are very RealPolitik. Although they'll gladly send their robotic fleets and armies after any none-humans who are pre-FTL, they'll, begrudgingly, negotiate with none-humans who are post-FTL. They have no qualms about talking too other human powers though.

Pact of Iron Exploration Picket #769

"Co-ordinates all set Lieutenant?" Captain Petersen asked in a bored tone. He hated patrol duty, especially with all of the action being taken against the Rim Pirates and him being on the far side of the Territory.
"Aye aye sir, we're ready to jump," beamed backed the fresh-faced Navigation Officer from the crew pit, simply glad to be out of the Academy and promoted away from Midshipman. Even a posting to Watchdog, a Victory-II class Star Destroyer was better than Academy work.
Captain Petersen turned his attention to First Officer, who was waiting patiently for the Captain to come to him.
"And the others?"
"Both the Guardian and Sentry are ready sir," saluted the First Officer, referring to the two frigates accompanying the Watchdog.
"Then let's go and explore yet another abandoned wasteball. Go to hyperspace," yawned the Captain as he tapped away at his datapad, looking at the latest Speedball results. The Navigation officer pulled the hyperdrive later and the stars elongated as the Skgorrian patrol plunged into hyperspace, only to emerge 3 minutes later.

The first thing anyone heard was various alarms going off.
"Report!" shouted Petersen, snapping out of his boredom.
"Unidentified craft in orbit around one of the planets in the system," calmly reported the sensor officer. "I'm trying for a more precise scan, but it will take a while."
"Continue your scans then," ordered Petersen before moving to his command station and snapping on the intercom system. "All hands to General Quarters, I repeat, General Quarters!" He called, and throughout the Watchdog the crew moved to alert positions. Firefighters readied with fire fighting equipment, fighter crews raced to their ready rooms and any surplus personnel joined up with the Kriegsmarine and Naval troopers in preperation to repel borders or lend a hand wherever needed. "Have the order transmitted to the other ships as well, and come to a full stop" the Captain ordered and only waited for the First Officer's nod of acknowledgement before moving to the Communications Officer.
"Transmit standard greeting protocols."
The following audio message was sent out in the general direction of the planet

Greetings from the Pact of Iron! We wish you no hostilities, unless you are the Jew, and look forward to exchanges taking place between our people. In the meantime, we would very much like to open diplomatic relations. Sieg Heil!

IC: The message was recieved, processed, and sent-off. There was a minutes pause, then the orders came too the automated ships.

The reply was also audio, however, it was a hollow, mechanical voice that spoke in the message.

"Greetings Pact of Iron. This is the AI onboard Destroyer-176, our creators greet you and have dispatched a diplomatic ship from System-138. Please hold..."

An hour later, the diplomatic ship, a shuttle actually, hyperjumped into the system.

"This is Edward Hallen's, diplomatic staff of the Heart of Armaggeddon, requesting permission too board.

Pact of Iron Exploration Picket #769, VSD 'Watchdog'

The Skgorrians waited out the hour patiently, carrying out scans. Petersen stood them all down from General Quarters after twenty minutes, but kept the fighter pilots in their ready rooms just in case. The arrival of the diplomatic shuttle was quickly reported, and although Petersen briefly contemplated launching a fighter escort, he decided against it.
"Greetings Edward Allen of the Heart of Armaggeddon, permission to board is granted," he transmitted back to the new arrival, "Follow the lights into our hangar bay." With the shields lowered, the shuttle would be free to enter the vessel. A quick honour guard of Kriegsmarine was drummed up, and the dazzle from their armour almost blinded the Captain and his First Officer, who also stood in the bay nervously awaiting the arrival of the newcomers.
"At least this one sounds human," reassured the First Officer as the shuttle settled down in the hangar.
Red Tide2
27-12-2007, 00:59
Edward was a rather average human male, at a height of 5'10", he had blond hair with green eyes and a rather jovial face. He was busy with the datapad as the shuttle touched down, but immediatly snapped into giving off a rather diplomatic feeling as soon as the shuttle hatch opened.

He walked down the ramp, followed by two of the HOA's semi-sentient combat androids, albeit, without their Gauss Rifles. Their robotic eyes and built-in sensors continously swept the hangar, scanning for any possible threat too the diplomatic personnel. Following the androids was a man with a datapad. Obviously a diplomatic aide.
Skgorria
27-12-2007, 01:14
As the ambassador and his staff walked down the ramp, they would see a rather empty hangar save the Captain and his First Officer in their black naval uniforms, then behind them thirty armoured Kriegsmarine. All of the Skgorrians had pistols in their belts but none of them had weapons in their hands.
So some of them are robots after all, quickly mused Petersen before calling out, "Attention all!" Every Skgorrian snapped his heels together and raised his right arm in the Roman salute that they had done for millenia.
"Sieg Heil!" they all cried once, and whilst the Kriegsmarine kept their arms raised, the two Naval officers lowered their arms.
"Welcome aboard, I'm Captain Petersen," he smiled politely, drawing himself to his full height of 6'1" and allowing some warmth to reach his brown eyes. "This is my First Officer, Commander Servchenko." The First Officer nodded, but otherwise said nothing. The visitors would see that both Petersen and Servchenko had short brown hair that came out underneath their service caps.

If the visitors knew anything about Earth history, then they would certainly recognise the symbol that Captain Petersen and Commander Servchenko wore on their right breast, and that which the white-armoured soldiers had on their right arms. The swastika.

And I thought Nazism was a dead ideology... Edwards thought idly, Ah well, looks like we'll have to recalculate.

It wasnt very concerning too him that his hosts were, in fact, Nazis in SPACE(ACE, Ace, ace). The HOA concerned itself with liquidating undesireables from its society also... there was virtually no religious people left in the HOA, so he didnt worry about their human brethren coming after them over 'Jews'.

Edwards, not being a military officer, did not return the salute. But the aide did, although he did a regular salute instead of a Nazi one. That meant the aide was a military attache.

"I am Edward Allen, although you already knew that. Diplomatic Ministry of the Heart of Armaggeddon. I presume you are okay with these two Model-1s," He waved at the androids, "Being here? They are merely too ensure my safety."
Skgorria
27-12-2007, 01:34
Servchenko noted the salute given by the as-of-yet unidentified man. Could well be military, possibly military intelligence. Stars know I'd not pass up the chance for a close-up of a potential enemy, he thought before resolving to mention this to the Captain at a later date.

As Servchenko continued his thoughts, Petersen look at the robots that had just been identified as 'Model-1s'.
"Oh no Mr Allen, we do not mind. You will find no trouble here unless you bring it," the Captain's tone was amiable but his words were carefully chosen to convey a message. "Our diplomatic representative has not arrived yet, and in the meantime under Pact of Iron Naval regulations I am authorised to begin preliminary discussions. Shall we retire to a more comfortable setting rather than standing around here?" He waved to the hangar doors, "we can get some refreshments for you and your...aide when we get to the conference room. It will be no more than a five minute walk." The Kriegsmarine began to move around and formed a tunnel of men leading from the shuttle to the bay doors, still standing at attention but by now they had lowered their arms.

OOC: Time for a bit of... complication.

IC:

The Lizardfolk or at least that was they called themselves, until they were mercilessly slaughtered and experimented on did have previous alien contact. If the invaders bothered to stop commiting genocide to ask, they would have discovered this useful fact. While useful information about them was limited the planet was soon to be the host to another visit.

"Captains Trotsky, co-ordinates looked in."

"Good, let's take another visit to our friends, hey? On my mark... 3... 2... 1... mark."

And with that the NSS Reach Out left it's home world of Nova to arrive a few days later. To find the ships in space, none of them Lizardfolkian. As they didn't even have a decent space program yet, they could barely get something out of their planets atmosphere.

A feeling hit the captain as if he was sick to the bone, he had a feeling that something indeed terrible happened, especially with the numerous ships orbiting the planet, where they construction ships? Who knows.

After a brief pause a message was sent to the ship that looked like it was incharge, the one that looked like it was already fielding a diplomatic team from another nation. neither were in the Novaens databanks but something seemed off. While they had the capactity for a wide range of communication media, they simply went with basic text transmission.

"Greetings,

This is the Novaean Star Ship (NSS) Reach Out, we can't help but notice the construction crews around the planet, the home world for the Lizardfolk. What, may we ask, has become of them?"

All was well aboard the Rezion, a typical ship of the Luxion-2 class, designated as one of Earth's four extra-galactic exploration vessels.
Everything was well because the ship was still in subspace. This was the way Captain Takaya liked it. In sub-space he didnt have to deal with all the random issues which arose from flying in true-space, which was more complicated and full of things that were eager to kill him.
He wasnt a coward, in fact, he had quite a distinguished military record against the Space Monsters, having participated in one of the few semi-successful early expeditions against the spacebourne menace.

Takaya adjusted his cap and sighed.
"Prepare to re-enter true-space. Initiate a systemwide scan once we're done...if there are space monsters here then re-initiate warp ASAP. Standard drill. Keep the Degeneracy Reactor operating." The captain pulled a piece of lint from his pants leg and rolled it between his fingers. Most likely they would just find another bunch of rocks floating around some random sun one again. Galaxies were big places and exploring the onces outside of their own was such boring work...
"Sir. Re-entry in five..."
Five seconds later, Rezion ripped a spectacular and shortlived hole in reality, its pointed bow appearing first from the blinding chaos of subspace. Nothing entertaining fell out of the hole, but an n-dimensional energy plant which was totaly undetectable in subspace and virtually undetectable in realspace, except by a very specific type of sensor geared to detect n-dimensional energy plants, fell out before collapsing on itself because it existed in every point of time simultaniously.
Regardless, Rezion was in for a bit of a shock.

"C-captain! Numerous large objects on the scanners! T-theyre HUGE!" The sensor officer was frantically switching between modes, attempting to get a clear picture of the objects.
"Visual scanning, Lt. Axelson." Takaya was gazing out of the bridges massive arched window. A fairly standard design feature on most of Earth's third-generation ships, the window allowed for at least basic navigation if sensors were down (a frequent problem) and alleviated some of the claustrophobia inherent in smaller spacecraft designs.
Takaya adjusted his cap nervously, then stood up.
"Comms, I suggest telling them we come in peace."

Pact of Iron Ship

Edwards smiled a polite one, the one diplomats smiled when a excellent suggestion was offered.

"Yes, we should." He said.

As he began too walk down the hallway, his aide's datapad beeped. The aide looked at the pad, sped up so he was next too Edwards, and whispered something into his ear.

"Really?" Edwards asked, the aide nodded.

"It appears that more shps have arrived. According too our in-charge destroyer AI, they have broadcasted messages identifying them as... well, not yours."

Back-In-Space...

The Novan(OOC: Is that right?) ship was the first too appear and inquire the question. The In-Charge Destroyer's AI took a centisecond too process the question, and then replied, in that same inhumane voice that they had spoken too the Pact of Iron ship with:

"We presume you are referring too the former reptillian inhabitants of this planet. Out of a population of 4.1 Billion approx, 2.1 billion were liquidated by detonating 80 megaton pure-fusion bombs over major population centers at optimum burst altitude. The other 2 Billion were harvested and recycled into usable building material. According too records, 40,000 of them are currently undergoing scientific experimentation, with 23,421... make that 23,422 have perished so-far."

Then, the Dontgoneartheren ship appeared and sent its message. The HOA ship answered back:

"A Diplomatic Team is currently aboard a Pact of Iron Ship. Do you wish for another diplomatic team too be summoned?"

OOC: I am going on a one night, no computer trip with family tommorrow. So... yeah.

"They went to know if they should send another diplomatic team, sir." The comms officer was sweating slightly. The Rezion was only a quarter the length of the white triangular ship, and it looked like it was more heavily armed as well, "And something about a Pact of Iron..."
"Yes, that sounds fine. Dont buy anything though." Takaya was fidgeting with his cap again, possibly feeling a little vulnerable himself.
"Affirmative, sir."

OOC: I am going on a one night, no computer trip with family tommorrow. So... yeah.

OOC: Sorry, it's Novaen. I didn't like Novan just sounds wrong when you say it. and I had one too many a's

IC: There was a drawn out pause, as the Novaen's considered what to do next. They just didn't expect the response to be so... open. It was almost as if they didn't want to hide what they had been doing. There was the option of attacking but the ship just wasn't ready and with a new contact coming in who knows who'd be allied with them. And even so 1 ship against what was there from these... monsters. Would hardly be a fight that the ship could even hope of winning even if they were prepared.

In the end there was only one acceptible option, enter into talks with these things, a video link was established with the main ship from the NSS Reaching Out. It showed two figures one a man, the other presumably male also, was a reptile-like being himself, Anyone who knew about earth history and geology would be able to identify it as literally a dinosaur. However it was generally human-size and was of the Sauron race. A species of Sapient dinosaurs from an alternate reality, but they would probably have no knowledge of that.

The two of them spoke each saying a few words before the other finished the sentence the rhythm of the sentence remained the same and if it wasn't obvious that 2 different beings were speaking you would almost think it could the one person.

"We are deeply distrubed at what has happened and what is happening to the inhabitants, the "former" inhabitants as the AI so coldly put it. We call for an immediate suspension of the so called scientific experimentation happening with the view of negotiating an arrangement about the remaining thousands of individuals. We request permission to send negotiators aboard to make our position better known to your officials."

And with that the signal was cut off, active scanners started anaylzing the planet looking for remaining signs of reptilian life.

Several Million mega meters away from the entire affair, several crackling vortexes opened up. Several venture class attack ships rushed through the multi dimensional vortex, slowing to a crawl in normal space, their hulls glimmering with the light of the local star, as they moved forward towards the group of ships. The lead ship was the UTS Swift sword; it was at the head of the six ship wedge formation. As they slowly maneuvered towards the ships ahead, Captain kough jermanio sat back on to his chair the wireless interface between the AI and humans on board working at full capacity. He placed his hands on the armrests, he peered at the ships ahead and nodded to his helms officer who looked back and said.
“Sir we are receiving evidence from our scanners of weapons fire, namely on a planet of this system, radiation levels are rather high. “

The captain looked at his helms officer leaning back on his chair again responding in a commanding voice. “Could there have been an event on the planet? Scans also seem to indicate a remnant civilization, and the scars are fairly recent. No amount of nuclear weapons with that level of technology this planet appears to poses could have done this much damage. Open a channel to the other ships identifying our selves”

As The terran ships continued on their course, a channel was opened, captain Kough was put on a holographic screen, his image spread through to the ships, he sat their peering in to the viewer, starting to speak In a diplomatically clam voice.

“This is the United Terran Ship Swift sword, we have come to investigate this activity in this system, and please identify you’re selves.”

The message was cut, as the Attack craft moved slowly their 210 meter bodies shimmering in space as they rumbled across towards the ships in front of them.

Pact of Iron Exploration Picket #769, VSD 'Watchdog', en route to Diplomatic Room

"What?" Sputtered Petersen, clearly surprised at the arrival of others. Before Petersen had time to draw breath, alarms began to ring throughout the ship.
All hands to Battle Stations, I repeat, all hands to Battle Stations. Command crew to the Bridge, I repeat, Command Crew to the Bridge on the double blared from various speakers above the din of both alarms and running men and women.
"I'll stay with the Ambassador sir," volunteered Servchenko. Without a word, Petersen nodded and ran for the nearest turbolift. The Commander then turned to the Kriegsmarine that had been following behind the diplomats.
"One squad, with me. The rest of you, to your alert positions." Ten of the soldiers remained where they were, the rest of them trotted off into the throng of sailors rushing around the corridors.
"Ambassador, quickly if you please," requested the Commander as he indicated a room they should enter. As soon as the Armaggeddians and the Kriegsmarine had entered, he would close the door and seal it.

Pact of Iron Exploration Picket #769, VSD 'Watchdog', Bridge

The bridge was a whirlwind of activity, and Petersen walked right into the chaos, undaunted.
"Report!" He bellowed, looking out through the bridge windows. He thought could see other ships out there, but would wait for confirmation from his crew before issuing orders.
"We've got a total of eight vessels from various groups," reported back the sensor officer. One from the Republic of Earth, one from the Novaeans, and six from United Terra." The officer gulped and wiped some sweat from his brow. "Sir, six vessels is far too many ships for a simple patrol," he speculated.
Petersen laughed at the man down in the crew pit. "Lieutenant, have you forgotten that this vessel is nine hundred metres long, and in addition to that is accompanied by two vessels who are just under three hundred metres long? I'm sure we seem like a marauding force as well." He strode further down the gangway to above the communications station. "What of Guardian and Sentry?"
"Both have gone to Battle Stations, but have not yet raised shields," came back the reply.
"Very well, I want shields to be kept down for the time being." Petersen did not want to escalate the situation, as the other vessels would surely detect the shields of all three Skgorrian ships being raised. The guns were already constantly powered, and power could only be cut from them by either a reactor failure or the power lines being severed. "Transmit standard greeting protocols to all ships."

Greetings from the Pact of Iron! We wish you no hostilities, unless you are the Jew, and look forward to exchanges taking place between our people. In the meantime, we would very much like to open diplomatic relations. Sieg Heil!

The ships from the United Terran Federation did raise a bit of a stir, but the emergency jump was already charged up and ready and there was only to wait and see what would happen.

A Holographic reply was sent, once again it was the same human and Sauron replying to the reply, "According to a response we received they had killed approximately 2.1 billion of the inhabitants through nuclear bombardment.. re-processing around 2 billion others and are continueing to perform unknown but certainly barbaric scientific experiments that has so far according to their own numbers have killed at least 23,422 of around 40,000 individuals. We call for your help first with top priority to stop the experimentation and get the survivors out of there."

As for the Pact of Iron, a text response was sent in reply.

Greetings from the planet Nova, we have no interest in hostilities at this time, our major concern are the inhabitants of the main planet in this system, which we will be paying our full diplomatic attention to. Perhaps afterwards we could send a diplomatic mission.

When the United Terran Ship appeared and made its inquiry, the onboard AI sent its reply:

"This is Destroyer-176 of the Heart of Armaggeddon Space Fleet. We have orders too establish a base for human colonists on this planet. The multitude of construction ships on the planet are responsible for the establishment of the colonists cities."

The Novaen message was processed and then forwarded too its human superiors. The form of reply it was too send was:

"Our creators reject your proposal, saying that the former inhabitants are now property of the Heart of Armaggeddon. Just as this system is now claimed by the Heart of Armaggeddon."

As for the United Earth Republic Ship.

"Given that the Pact of Iron has introduced themselves too you, the HOA feels that its superiors need not explain them too you. If you wish too recieve diplomatic personnel, I suggest you wait until the diplomatic staff aboard the Pact of Iron ship is done negotiating there."

The little RoE ship, blissfully unaware that the surrounding uber-kroozers were prepearing to unleash their megadeath rays, was happily cruising along in orbit, attempting to keep some distance between itself and the other ships. Considering the vessel lacked even basic energy shielding, this was probably a good thing.
The comms officer read off the messages as they were received.
"Offering to send another party, then telling us we have to wait...not exactly the most friendly bunch..." Takaya sighed, "Well, tell them we'll be waiting...not that we have a lot of choice. Tell the other guys we're glad to meet them too...DO we have any Jews on board?"

Servchenko exhaled in relief when everyone was inside. "We should be safe in here," he informed Edwards. "Besides if anything goes wrong," he continued, "we have environment suits in those lockers over there." He gestured to three lockers on the far side of the room, before pulling a chair out at a large, round conference table with plenty of chairs.
"If you would care to sit Ambassador," offered Servchenko with deference before moving to the other side of the table and taking a seat. The Kriegsmarine stood equidistant around the walls of the drab, grey room, which while well-lit was barely decorated save for some silver trim on the chairs and table.
"Well Ambassador Edwards, perhaps you could tell me a little about your people whilst we wait for our trained diplomats to arrive?"

Pact of Iron Exploration Picket #769, VSD 'Watchdog', Bridge

The mood on the bridge was beginning to stabilise, as crewmembers latched onto the Captain like a rock in the middle of a sea of panic.
"Guardian and Sentry report ready sir," called out the Communications officer from the crew pit.
"Fantastic!" Grinned Petersen, "having three fighting ships ready instead of one makes things a lot better. Now, is the Ambassador secure?"
A Kriegsmarine walked up and saluted.
"Ambassador Edwards and his detail are secure sir, along with Commander Servchenko and a squad of Kriegsmarine."
"Good, good," mumbled Petersen as he returned the salute and waved a dismissal.
The voice of the Communications Officer came up again.
"Sir, messages back from the planet Nova and the Republic of Earth."
"And?"
"Nova will meet us after the current situation has been resolved, and the Republic of Earth looks forward to opening contact with us."
"Tell the Novans that we understand, and tell the Republic that we'd love to just as soon as we work out what the hell is going on with those six ships."
"Understood."

Understood, look forward to it.

The captain sighed as he got several messages via his interlink; he slammed his hands on his armrests as he heard of the genocide. He sighed and stood up waving his hand to open a channel to the red tide ships, he started to speak in a commanding voice as the Terran ships moved in to formation around the vessels, a simple message was sent.

“We have heard of your genocidal exploits, declaring this system in the name of your nation after killing billions is not only in efficient but also foolish, you have 24 hours to return the inhabitants you have captured to the planet, and to leave this system, or we will open fire, and we will have ships come in firing, that is all!”

The Terran Federation would not stand for such things, after its own plight at the hands of the GE, this struck a nerve, and the captian looked over to a console taping quickly on a holographic comn opening to SSC, he sat back as Admiral Charles , was put on screen.
“Charles” said the captain the admiral nodded with a slight hm in response.

“We have detected a code alpha one just beyond our borders, apparently these humans , decided the planets inhabitants were to be extinguished to make way for their colonies.”

The admiral shook his head sitting back on his own chair folding his hands on his lap, “I take it you gave them the ultimatum” The captain nodded, the admiral sighed again and said as he leaned forward on his chair, the lights of the station dull and white.
“All right, the seventh and eight reaction fleets are busy right now on a mission, well awaiting a possible mission, so the second fleet will have to be your fire power, they will arrive shortly.”

The captain smiled as he shut off the comn, he turned over to the helms officer and started to speak as he sat back on his leather like chair, holographic interfaces flashing as the ship went to condition yellow.

“Open a channel to the friendlier ships” the helms officer nodded waving her hand over the immersive console opening a frequency, the light of the bridge had went from white and mundane to yellow in hue, officers rushed around to their stations as the split seconds of silence passed. The captain sat back his gravity belt holding him in place now, he started to speak.

“The United Terran Federation would be glad to open up relations with your nation; however these fools in this system have committed a grave crime against sentient beings that we will not tolerate.”

He said that with a stern diplomatic voice, his ships already a few light seconds away In attack positions, they would hope the enemy would under estimate them . The venture class was the most advanced attack ship in the Federation, boating no more than 4 twin mount dark energy pulse cannons, 3 Dark energy beam cannons, 24 micro missile tubes and eight torpedo tubes, with powerful shields and ablative armor to boot., they were a force to be reckoned with in a pack even more so. The captain sat back raising his hand to his chin he looked towards the other ships wondering and waiting.

Their primary long range weapons are near-relativistic moving missiles with chemical singularity warheads. Their primary medium range weapons are mass drivers firing chemical singularity shells, their primary short range(and point defense weapons) are particle beams. The frigates are about 200 meters long, the Destroyers twice that.

And its NOT 'Red Tide', that is my MT persona, in FT its the Heart of Armaggeddon, or HOA.

IC:
In orbit around Colony-1308

Destroyer-176 paused for a nano-second, processing the United Terrans message... then it sent off a message too its homebase. There was a sixty second pause, then the AI got its orders and sent its reply.

"You are hereby ordered by Heart of Armaggeddon Space Fleet Command too leave our sovereign territory within the next twelve hours or you will be deemed hostile and proper measures will be taken too remove you from our territory. Our reinforcements have already been dispatched."

On Colony-1308, the Construction Ships were at various points in building the colony. A good number had already built nessecary, planet-based surface-space missile launchers and railguns. Only a few had gotten any form of planetary shields up.

((Anybody feeling the need to fire on the poor little Rez will probably take it out in a couple of shots with pretty much any weapon. Its got a couple banks of heavy lasers that might be able to put a decent dent in anything it can get a shot at though.))

Inside a conference room in the RSS Reach Out a meeting was being held trying to pin down options to handle the current situation.

"Well, they won't stop to allow discussions... What else can we do?"

"We can try and launch a rescue mission."

"Do we even know where the Lizardfolk are being held? and even so at this earlier stage it seems that they already have some planet-based defenses not to forget the ships. Any sort of dropship that we can deploy would be easily blown out of the air before it had a chance to even make contact with the surface. If we weren't *just* originally comming here to meet a nation of there tech then perhaps we'd be better equiped."

"No point in laying blame now, there was no way anyone could see this happening."

"It's our fault that they are all but basically dead now. We didn't provide them with the adequate defense they needed to defend themselves against these savages."

"And what totally ruin their civilisation, there is a reason why we keep contact so we can continuely gauge and respond to their ability to handle our technology. They are not capable yet, they were on the edge themselves of developing the nuclear weapon, who knows what that or any weapons technology we might have provided could have done."

"They're right. We cannot hold our selves responsible for the actions of others, all we can do is do what we know is best now."

"They're only leaving us with one option... they destroyed reptillians... it's time we destroyed them."

"NO"

"What else are we going to do, sit and idly wait while the last Lizardfolk dies at their hands."

"We have a plan..."

To the Heart of Armageddon:

If the true inhabitants of this planet are truly nothing more than objects to you, then why not stop? what merit or worth is there in killing them off if we can take them of your hands? If they are only worthy to be thrown to the scrap here as dead bodies why bother with the whole process to begin with. Let us take all the remaining survivors off your hands."

"I don't like it, it's too cold, too heartless."

"If we want them to re-evaluate their position we need to make an argument that hopefully gives them an out, an excuse to give us what we want while making it seem at the same time, they're giving us nothing."

"Still, we don't like it."

"Neither do we, it's just that we're running out of options."

OOC: I was waiting for The Fedral Union to reply. I dont know if he is going to, but if he does Ill leave the spot open.

IC: The semi-sentient AI onboard the Destroyer seemed to consider this. In fact it was consulting.

"My superiors say that even though the former inhabitants of this planet are not worthy of life, by conducting scientific research upon them the HOA may make a discovery that will benefit the human race."
