This evening at 22.36pm on the 24th December 2007 a telegram was sent to the Head of State of the Kingdom of Medrona informing them of a state of war between their nation and the Kingdom of the Sobani.

The initiation of war was sent for the following reasons.

1. The Kingdom of Medrona's trade embargo
2. The Kingdom of Medrona's Navy blockading the Port City and Capital of the Sobani - Alderaa
3. The murder of Sobani citizens through terrorist acts by a militia group funded by the Medrona Government

The telegram was sent and after the systems confirmed it was sent successfully the Sobani Army marched into neighboring Medrona and swiftly overcame the town of Moltair - which has now been occupied and an ultimatium will be sent to the Head of State of Medrona informing him of these developments.

The Blockade of Alderaa was swiftly removed by an attack by the Sobani navy - one of the most powerful navies in the area - which sunk the blockading ships with the use of Battleships, Submarines and Aircraft.
Minimal casualties were suffered by the Sobani and all Medrona servicemen and women who were captured unscathed were released and given transport back to Medrona territorial waters.

The prisoners and any civilians who wished to leave from the Medrona town of Moltair were allowed to leave unconditionally - and the Medrona wounded from both battles are currently being treated in Sobani hospitals.

The King of The Sobani hopes these acts of mercy will encourage the Head of State of Medrona to accept the Peace Terms he has subsequently sent.

But the Eve of Christmas 2007 will be remembered as a Triumph for the nation of The Sobani.

OOC: As a general rule it is left to the player being attacked to determine what happens to the denizens of their imaginary nation. (i.e. rather than saying, "We take over this town", you have to say "We attack this town" and the other guy has to say "We flee, effectively leaving the town to you.") As it happens you two may have already determined that through TGs, though, so ignore my intrusion if so.

I also recommend reading the stickies if you want to get into serious roleplay. (And the next 17 posters who show up to post the same thing, save your bandwidth.)
