Dream Central; Where Dreams Become Reality (Fun RP; Open all tech + fantasy)

OOC: This is basically a RP based around any tech level, including fantasy... Think of this as a MMORPG similar to World of Warcraft... one massive "world", or even "universe" - if you want to call it that - where everyones dreams (read: RP's) are intermingled and may mix. This has no effect on your NS nation or people, rather it's everyones dreams being RP'd out, fantasy or not, past tech to future tech, in one, massive dream of a RP... And, yes, I know the intro below is rather odd... it's like one of those hazy dreams...
Dream Central
Where Dreams Become Reality
In a hazy dream as you fall fast asleep, a world appears; You're on some sort of ship... that's floating... above Earth... No, not Earth... some other planet... and you can breath, in space... a voice announces,Welcome, welcome, welcome to Dream Central, Where Your Dreams Become Reality. Welcome, welcome, welcome to this wonderful place. A place of fun, a place of dreams, a place, a place, a place of themes and streams and gleams. Now, you wonder, where is this? It's a place, a happy place. So, dream on, and let your imagination flow, for if you let it grow, it just may snow...
And with that, your dreams begin to fade in...

And, of course, when you wake up, you see a huge camp of people near some Gold, using pickaxes to mine it.
You walk up to one of the Gold Miners and asked what they are doing.
"Making my paycheck, of course," the gold miner replied. "I got lots of gold, and I sell them for real cash. Wanna buy some? Buy some gold today!"
Suprised at the articulate nature of the Gold Miner, you ask what you can do with gold in a dreamworld where you can basically get anything you want, for free, because it is all a dream.
The gold miner is silent, and fails to speak.

OOC: Not much interest in creating a RP out of dreams?

(OOC: Was running with the whole MMORPG concept of gold miners.
State that the dream world has tons of natural resources, and then you'll get activity. Altough that may be in the form of military interventions...)

OOC: Ya, I got that. :) but I was just expecting more... action. Being that anything can be done in this... flying... walking in space without a suite... what ever.

Floating above vast expanses of water, Phil could not figure out where he was. All he could see was, well, water. Except... wait! That, in the far distance! Is that an island? Yes, an island!
And before he could even attempt to walk, his body began to float towards the island he saw. Swim... can I swim? he wondered before flipping over onto his belly and began paddling. To his delightful suprise, it actually sped things up, as he began to float faster and faster.

"Fine," you say. "How much does it cost for that gold?"
"$500 USD!" the gold miner said cheerfully.
"$500! Are you insane?"
"Buy that epic mount you always been wanting," the gold miner taunts. "It's epic, and it's mounty."
"Oh come on! I can create an epic mount right here."
You concerate, and then you concerate harder. It turns out your imagination isn't...well...that's great.
"Fine. $500 USD is being wired towards you. Enjoy your blood money."
"LOOK AT ME!" the gold miner screamed. "I'm rich! I should have worked in SilentScope003 sooner..."
You squirm in disgust. Okay, so you got yourself a pile of worthless gold, now where can you buy an epic mount to leave this god-forsaken island of gold miners and get to somewhere interesting. You don't even know what an epic mount is!
Hey, look, a strange floating man. Maybe that guy could tell me what an epic mount is. You start waving your hands at that man.

"Heheheheehe" a sound lurking in the background. It sounded like a madman is coming after you. when you look back, it was worser! A young man looks like 17 years in age (in Japanese Manga/Anime/Game style) and he got a saber that is looks like has been bathed with blood (!) and he pointed that saber to you.
Since my dreams mostly have to do with sweaty, naked Amazons driving me cross-country in a converted school bus with an unlimited supply of opium and hash, I think I'll wait to write about them until there is a "NS Blue" version of this site. ;)
OOC: This isn't just a dream, but an outright example of inadvertent time travel. How it happened...we'll just have to find out.
Zolotoi Vetalia, 2709 AD (http://http://www.ryanchurch.com/ryanchurch_image015.htm)
Viktor Bakurin awoke with a start, the warm sun and strange voices the first things his mind perceived in his new surroundings. He wasn't afraid; indeed, he felt calmer than ever, but it was clear he was somewhere else than his cubicle in the Ministry of Finance. He was in some sort of metropolis, but it wasn't one he'd ever seen on Earth. The buildings literally hung above and below him like stalactites, and one thing was for sure...whoever built them was absurdly wealthy.
From the elegant classical stylings to the copious amounts of precious metals, to the elaborate carvings and statues...it was a very well-to-do place. Moreso than anything he'd ever seen even in Vetalia City. Not only that, but it appeared the place had airships, for one was rather quietly docked not too far from where he stood, unloading what could only be a very valuable cargo judging from the vigilance of the guards around it. Staring with awe for a few moments, he was not aware of the people closing in behind him...
"Enjoying the sights, are you?"
A string of curses
"I'm sorry, did I startle you? It's not often that visitors appear from nowhere on my veranda." The man was dressed in a robe fashioned from some kind of iridescent material, which displayed its elegant geometric patterns in the setting sunlight. He was also quite pale, with slim and well-manicured hands. Rather effete, actually, and definitely accustomed to a life of luxury...although he was hardly in a condition to say so, it was pretty damn obvious Viktor was dealing with a fully blue-blooded Vetalian, albeit a peer in a vastly different setting than the one to which he was accustomed.
"W-where am I? This doesn't look like Vetalia City...where am I, and who are you? What is going on here?" Viktor was still incredulous and rather overwhelmed by what he was seeing.
"Vetalia City? I thought your accent sounded familiar; last time I heard it was from my grandfather, back when I was a young 120 years old. Sadly, he died shortly thereafter. Rather ironic, actually, considering we were only a decade away from curing his condition. Could've still been here, but what happens happens, isn't that correct?"
"Now I'm double that, hard to believe, but years don't mean all that much these days, longevity advances and all...hmm, where are my manners? I should introduce myself. I'm Viktor Melnikov, of the Melnikovs from Earth, a rather old family that's been influential since long before we even made it in to space. Judging from your appearance, I think you might have heard of Ivan Melnikov, my distant ancestor. He was a bit of a dictator, so to speak."
"Are you all right? You've been rather quiet..."
"Five hundred light years...Vetalia City gone...seven hundred nineteen years....240 years old...future.....Melnikov...."
Viktor passed out, and when he came to it was already dark outside. The beautiful colored lights of the city filtered through the windows, painting the elegantly paneled room with a rainbow of colors. The room's furniture was quite sumptuous, and what could only be a computer terminal stood in the corner. He hopped up, nearly fainting again, and ran over to it, seeking answers...

Saber's for sale, right?"
Solar Communes

Juan Nathaniel, of the first generation of Gliese 581c colonists, sleeping at his dormitory in an apartment of the floating city of Kropotkin (http://bp0.blogger.com/_RPI0YqbouH8/Rj0rT3IuQZI/AAAAAAAAADg/hUqAzX4owrk/s1600/CloudCity.jpg). He had a dream about the future goal of his solar nation. A dream which maybe would never come, unless the Many Worlds theory was correct...
From the inside of a boarding starship, a low-profile and minuscule radar signature small ship designed to dock clandestinely on larger starships for a group of Space Pirates to attempt to board and seize them, he heard a transmission:
"This is the 5th Starfleet of the Confederation of Solar Communes, legitimate heirs to the artificial island which belonged to the former Confederacy of the Third Commune. We wish to resettle it peacefully. We do not wish war, only to have what was taken from us back. Do not attempt to attack our settlers and we shall not attack you who occupy Earth"
