In Politics: Yesterday, Premier Rein Wilhelms along with the newly formed General Assembly, started development on a constitution. According to recent reports, the Assembly is almost done writing the constittution and should move to ratifying it at least by tommorow. The Constitution is said to give the citizens much more civil rights and political freedoms, "If they are put in a constitution," said Wilhelms," then it is the Supreme Law. These rights cannot be taken away." The Assembly is also considering a name change because of the new government. The new goverment will bring direct democracy by dividing the country up into states or provinces and allowing them autonomy, but recognizing that they all unite still under the Premier and the new government on issues such as taxation, civil rights cases, and decisions to go to war. This new government allows for each province to have its own provincial guard or militia and sets up a form of government where the votes come from the people, they make amendments and vote on them, and in some special cases yet to be determined, nullify laws. However the question still remains, should the nation keep the title Commonwealth or change it, and if so to what?
