This Just In: Official Inaguration Of Rein Wilhelms!

Latislavia

This morning at exactly 8:30, Rein Wilhelms placed his hand on the bible and was sworn in as the Premier of the new Commonwealth of Latislavia. Wilhelms, a former Senator, will be the first Premier of the new government. Wilhelms was the leader of one of the most successful and nonviolent coups against the previous Imperial Administration ever. He is noted for having the overwhelming support of the "common man," sources said. He sat down in a large conference room in the Capitol building in Belrosko, and answered the many questions reporters asked, many of which the people were anxious to hear the response to. Wilhelms promises more democracy and more civil rights for the people. However, he also has stated that the people will have direct voting power and be able to be entirely active within their provinces. They will be able to call for amendments to the new Constitution, decide the terms of service for government officials, along with other duties yet to be determined. Already, Wilhelms has been applauded internationally for his promises of democracy while some have criticized him for making unkeepable promises and not establishing truly direct democracy. In response, Wilhelms stated," I am only focused on giving our people their dues, giving them rights they never had, and getting our nation back on its feet, so as to establish itself as a powerful yet peaceful nation.
