Here all OOC information, sign up details and stats will be housed.
I've organized this one as an "interactive history" which will have several chapters, as it already happened in this solar nation history. Certain things can change like how much would last the Confederacy "Last Stand", however all colony ships reached the Gliese system in one piece. I'll limit roleplay here to certain roles I'll list below, and except for the first one there will have lots of flexibility and very freeform to the outcome and forces, weapons, composition of forces instead as the success or failures of neither of them are registered in Solar Communes history. In fact the other roles will involve parallel roleplaying among different players rather than direct involvement in the main history:
- Commander of the joint enemy orbital forces trying to destroy the Bakunin and remaining space stations.(Closed to allow this thread to continue)
- General of joint invasion forces trying to take over Neocataluña
- Elected Commander of Neocataluña defenses.

- General of the occupation force trying to quell the resistance in Nueva Madrid
Also I won't use their own language further but just plain English representing their language. I only used it here to give you an idea of how their mix of English, Spanish and Portuguese does look like.
Now some quick simplified stats(Note, the defense satellites can't intercept nuclear missiles far at the space, they are mostly a SDI for Earth locations in such matters):
Allied Forces
SCS Bakunin Colony Ship and Space Station Construction Module
Being able to house 20,000 human beings in suspended animation and equipped with a self-contained recycling life support system, the Bakunin, like its sisters, were projected with interstellar travel in mind. Also as afterthoughts due to the war, 5 65mm autocannons were mounted as point-defense and it was equipped with an Electronic countermeasures system as well. Its advanced but still Weak AI can pilot the ship through its destination and control the weapon systems as well with a much higher maximum effective range than any orbital fighter targeting computer.

OF-251 Orbital Superiority Fighter

Armor: Foam Metal(A special alloy forged in 0 gravity environments), can stand 7 rounds of a 70mm enemy autocannon or against 3 wavemaster missiles against the same area of it.
Thrusters: 10 thrusters allowing it to pitch, roll, yaw and move backwards, up, down, left and right, while allowing it to slowly compensate inertia when changing direction.

XF-485 Orbital Bomber
The XF-485 is commonly escorted by EF-185 Orbital superiority fighters as it is intended purely for destroying space stations or large ships like a colony ship using a fusion missile and is vulnerable to fighters.

General Infantry guidelines for weaponry(on both forces): Caseless ammo for automatic guns from any caliber and for pistols, Sonic weapons for close quarters combat, highly compact electrothermal-chemical technology for sniper rifles and semi-automatic fire rifles. No lasers or energy weapons. Guided missiles and self-propelled mortars also can be added. A synthetic fiber succeeding Kevlar will be the armor, however it's no miracle against the future weaponry of its time.
General Tanks and Armored Vehicles guidelines(on both forces): Main battle tanks use rail guns, while smaller AFVs, anti-air vehicles and artillery use an improved version of electrothermal-chemical technology (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrothermal-chemical_technology). The average armor for MBTs is 3,500 RHAe against Kinetic energy weapons while IFVs can reach up to 2,100 RHAe against Kinetic energy. Active protection systems are commonplace as well.
General Resistance Guidelines: They won't have the best equipment around. They still use Kevlar vests and won't have access to sonic or ETC infantry weapons. The only vehicle forces they will have will be armored technicals (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technical_%28fighting_vehicle%29) equipped with caseless ammo machineguns, mortars or anti-tank missile launchers.
