The latest in Pale Rider Arm's long history of chemical weaponry, Silens Nox continues PRA's tradition of excellence. Silens Nox is composed of three individual agents, each which acts individually to contribute to a rather spectacular whole: The complete neutralization of an enemy combatant without taking his life.
The first of the three agents is absorbed through the cornea and lens of the eye, attacking the vitreous humour. The agent causes the vitreous to rapidly contract, pulling away from the retina. This will usually lead to a massive retinal tear, resulting in permanent blindness. In rare cases, retinal tears are less severe, and, if properly treated, will result only in partial blindness.
The second agent enters the body through the tympanic membrane, moving into the Labyrinth. There, it reacts with the fluids therein, causing chemical burns to the entire inner ear. This will inevitably lead to permanent and untreatable deafness, loss of coordination, and extreme pain.
Finally, the third agent is, directly at least, quite harmless. The agent bonds to the cells of the tear and salivary glands, where it roots itself. The true danger of the agent, however, lies with the host's immune system. Cells that the agent has bonded to are no longer recognized by the body as it's own, and are attacked by the autoimmune system. This leads to an inability to produce basal tears or saliva, and chronic dry eyes and mouth. In turn, these cause irritation of the eyes, damage to the cornea, watering of the eyes, difficulty in speaking or eating, halitosis, and increased cavities. Combined with the damage to the retina and ear, this renders sight and speech virtually impossible.
When taken together, these three agents reduce even the best trained warriors to mere husks of their former self, unable to resist your efforts further. Silens Nox is available in aerosol form only. Like all PRA chemical weapons, Silens Nox is sold in binary form, shipped in separate crates for your safety. Practice chemical safety and know your weapons! Silens Nox is a liquid at room temperature, and it's aerosol form is visible as an oily mist.
