pfft the international community...mostly just waits for some new nation to emerge then dogpiles on it and spends 10 years fighting each other over land that wasn't theirs to begin with

Colbertnation3, check out the stickies (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=543994) at the top of this forum. They should get you started with nation states.
Everyone else: I think he gets the picture, eh? No need to have everyone run and tell he's doing it wrong.

Short and brief thingie about war, to achieve these steps reading those stickies will help.

Initial steps before even thinking about declaring war:

- Define your nation timeline and tech level. Among them there is Modern Tech(current time), Early Post-Modern Tech(Somewhere around 2020-2050), Late PM(2080, 2100, etc.) or Future Tech(Around 2120)

- Use an economic calculator or common sense: Totally Imploded economies wouldn't give support for anything more complex than pickups with machineguns or anti-tank rocket launchers mounted on them except for ridiculously populated nations.

- Either design weapons, armored fighting vehicles, ships and airplanes, buy designs from storefronts or use real-world tanks and such, you cannot fight a war without having your forces defined, also these designs should reflect your nation tech level and economic power.

- Don't declare war against a nation 10 times more powerful than yours, for obvious reasons.

Then you must see if your war is reasonable, the three common decent reasons include:

- Nation x is committing mass murder against ethnic/religious/political group z, which in turn is the same ethnic/religious/political group that is majority in your nation, this justifies you going to war, though international pressure can stop it peacefully as well.

- Nation y is invading you for territory, wealth, etc.

- Nation z is committing mass murder against an ethnic/religious/political group w, that isn't predominant in your nation, but your nation fancies itself as a "World Policeman" against such atrocities and goes to fight against them.

I don't get it, if you're supposed to be an Aryan state, why is it of heavy German influence?

That, and the viewpoint you're using is of the 19th/20th century, where an idea to promote any European race/culture as the "master race" Real Aryans are of people of Southwest Asian descent, ie. from Iran, Afganistan, Pakistan, and India.]

OOC: My nation is of heavy German influence because back in June 2004 there was a glut of new Nazi-esque nations (in the manner of the current religious theme). I confess to have been among them, though I do not subscribe to the Nazi ideology. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but now I and my unfortunately-named nation have to live with it and make best we can.
