OOC: The anti-Semitic remarks aside, I'm sure the nation of Greston is entitled to celebrate any holiday it wishes in its own nation, and invite any foreign dignitaries it pleases, without being harassed by foreign governments for "excluding" the members of other faiths. If you don't like it, don't attend. In that vein:

OOC: Thank you I am very happy to know that people get pissed off when I use my rights to celebrate my own religion. I did not every in the IC say any anti semetist remarks, I only used freedom of speech and made a thread for a ball celebrating MY RELGION. If people get annoyed when someone says Christmas then I don't think they should get annoyed when I say a joke. Yes it was mean and I appologize for it but I will not tolerate people coming in here and putting my thread down because it said something about this coming up holiday. I am not an antisemetist, I don't hate jews, and I accept all religions. I don't care what your beliefs are but if you want me to respect yours, please respect mine.

OOC: ok start rping the guests arriving, everyone who sent a RSVP is on the guest list.

Emperor Miamorga walked into the celebration in his best gown. He was a tall man with a long beard but tonight he had shaven as he was a bachelor and enjoyed looking good for any maiden who wished to join him on the dancefloor. As his bodyguard assumed his post in the corner of the room and took aim of his master just in case. Miamorga found a table and ordered some food and made it widely known he was looking for a date. He ordered his usual " hello waiter i would like a 16oz. steak with potatoes, a caesar salad and an ice tea please." Then he settled in and started to wait.

Easen International Airport

A sleek HST wearing Tanaaran livery touched down lightly and rolled to a stop at the remote hanger the Tanaaran government had previously requested be reserved for them. Once it taxied within, to join the massive Antonov AN124 already within, portable stairs were rolled up and the HyperSonic Transports passengers descended, stretching slightly even though the spaceplane's speed and orbital capabilities made the trip very short for the distance travelled. Sinjin and his Lady Khadri exited first, their observant eyes sweeping the area, and recieving courteous half bows from the security personel stationed about the hanger. They had already recieved a sitrep before the HST had landed.

The Antanov had brought the vehicles they would be travelling in to the Greston Christmas Ball the day before. The pair of chase and lead vehicles - they looked like moderately modified Suburbans - but they weren't - moved quietly into place, putting the custom motor coach in between them as it rolled up close to the base of the portable stairs. The coach was fully forty nine foot long and the exterior was a deep festive Christmas crimson with elegant gold detailing. Broad windows were hidden behind custom tinting. The low profile 'space ball' antenas that sat between the skylight domes hinted at full satellite uplink capabilities. The massive engine rumbled quietly. It was a far larger engine that one might guess, but it was needed as the coach was nearly as armoured as a tank - though the leading edge composites were much lighter than most knew. The 'Suburbans' were more armored that an U.S. military Stryker. But the Tanaarans never advertised all their technology.

Sinjin and Khadri were the two senior most members of the small group known as the Four Horsemen - Her Majesty's closest advisors, bodyguards and if necessary her strong left path hand. They were followed by Sir David ( pronounced Daveed ) Arial Roth, Keeper of the preemminent Tower within Tanaara and physician, and his wife the Lady Shai, a Celestial. They were the unoffical fith and sixth Horsemen but very very few within Tanaara knew that and even fewer without.

The Lady Shai had already changed into her gown, a halter topped, low backed - to accomodate her wings - confection of white and silver silk. With her broad wings of white, silver platinum, tipped with slate, indigo and ebony it was hard for her to change while on a moving vehicle. The dress had not wrinkled and the tiny white and ice blue crystals sown in a snowflake pattern glimmered in the hanger's bright lighting.

Her husband, like Lord Kincannon, would be wearing superb black and white formals- frock coat cut -that had been tailored to most discretely hide their dueling pistols. Fresh shirts, and the frock coats waited the men in the motor coach as did the dress Khadri was going to wear.

Last came HM Queen Mercedez Merideath Hexx, looking about with light, lively blue eyes. She tripped llithely down the stairs, without waiting for an escort. "Some one break out the vodka, Madge and Henri are going to have fits. I broke a nail." That brought laughter and Khadri said she'd break the dread news to Mercy's long time maid and hairdresser. Once Mercy was handed in and swept up by the afore mentioned maid and haridreser the others entered and slowly the entourage rolled out for the dining tower where the festivities were to be held.

The High General and his wife walked into the party flanked by the Marine Honor Guards holding E19C assault rifles. The High General was dressed in his traditional uniform which was similar to the Marine dress blues. On one hip was a black leather holster containing his personalized gold plated TDX .40 pistol and on the other was a sheath holding a shortened version of the ceremonial Mameluke sword. The First Lady was dressed in a long flowing royal blue dress that matched her husbands uniform. A golden necklace with the the Aurum Doman seal hung on her neck. Hopefully this party would be fun and be beneficial to all parties involved. The High General was hoping to make some new allies tonight.

The Golden Finch Brigade stood in a perfectly straigt line that lead straight to the door as if their lines was a hallway. The delegates would walk through the "hallway" then a hand, either Thorold of Paladin, would greet them after checking their name off of the guest and attendence list. The first people to arrive were of course Jim from The Beatus and John Batther who had left the funeral of Edwardo Listless together. Then the Miamora delegation arrived and Thorold greeted him at the door. The same routine occured when Lord Sinjin Kincannon, Khardri Van Maartin, Lord Arial Roth, Lady Shai'saia,Lune Roth, and HM Queen Mercedes Merideath Hexx from Taanara and High General Samuel Oron and First Lady Nadia Oron from Arum Domus arrived.

Outside the Tower it was fairly calm except for when HM Mercedes tripped down one of the sets of stairs. But inside it was crazy, servants were running all around to attend to the various guests all ready there or coming in. Food was being served to specific tables while other were still be waited on. John sat at a table close to the stage were the Grestonian Philharmonic, the Easen Boys Quire, Grestonian Cello Orchestra, and the Jast Boys and Girls Quire would perform later into the night. He walked over to Emperor Miamorga to speak to him.

The Colstream Government 747 entered Greston Airspace. It had flown for 6 hours and the Pilot made the final approach. The Aircraft touched down and the delegation headed to the party in armoured limos. Inside was the Colstream President, the Vice President and the Foreign Secretary.

A stately-looking car pulled to the front of the building. With heavily tinted windows, one could not tell who, if anyone, was inside.

Out stepped a man in an elaborate uniform, a cape with silver maltese cross adorning his back. Walking purposefully to the rear of the car, he stood by the door for a second, before saluting and opening it.

Out stepped the Chancelloress, resplendent in her christmas gown (http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc61/LordBelacqua/NationStates/Chancelloress.png). Whilst not strictly religious, she could never resist an opportunity to dress up.

Hitching her skirts (of which there were many), she allowed Conrad to take her hand to lead her up the steps. Her husband, Prince Sebastien of Skamania and Duloc, and now Chancellor Consort of The Magisterium, was in his homeland on business, and whether he would be here, was unknown.

She entered the foyer of the building, taking a quick look around her, before waiting to be ushered through. The Imperial Guardsmen simply stood to attention behind them, silent, yet impressive with their medieval weaponry shined to perfection.

The High General and his entourage approached the Barronian delegation.

"Hello, I believe we've met before during UFAN meetings. How do you do?"

The Chancelloress stared at the High General for a second, attempting to remember just who he was. Eventually, it came to her.

"Ah, High General Oron! I thought I recognised you! And this must be your wife - you look stunning, I must say, and your husband very handsome. I can't particularly complain, save the grumbles. Allow me to introduce General Strom, if you haven't met him yet; our Chairman for the Council of Defence and Warfare."

General Strom stepped forward and bowed to the High General and his wife. Dressed in his Magistrate's uniform (http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc61/LordBelacqua/NationStates/MagistrateUniform.png), he was revered around Barronia and other nations for his various military campaigns across the region, but most often known for his eyepatch - an injury sustained in a near-forgotten skirmish in the People's Uprising, a revolution led by Santina's father. This uprising had led them to become close confidants, especially after the death of the Chancellor, her father.

HM Mercedez felt the heel of her pump twist, and indeed she started to trip quite badly, before Sir David's telekensis reached out and gently caqught the Queen setting her down gently at the base of the stairs.

She laughed a little shakily, glad that David had been here. "One would think that I'd had the vodka instead of Madge and Henri. Thank you David for catching me like that. It was an eerie feeling though." She got her composure back and began looking about interestedly, taking in those already arrived, and the wonderful decorations.

"Well Khadri, who's who here?" HM Mercedez asked softly.

Khadri had the advantage of perfect photographic memory and with little hesitation began naming off those she saw.

Resplendant in her black satin off the shoulder gown, Robin Sena, the Empress of The Icarus Empire of Icarus City came with her Cheif Geniuses and her bodyguard group known as The Imperial Retinue and its leader, General Jacob Deref and instaructed them, "Now remember your manners," before slapping the General, as well as her Geniuses.

"What was that for?!?" said Genius Gia.

We didn't do anything bad," said the General.

"It's in case you do when I ain't around," said Robin. "Also: no booze, no sex, no vices, etc."

"We allowed to party?" said Genius Leroy.

"You don't see no signs, do you?" said The Empress. "Well, I hear there's bound to be Neo Geo, X Box 360 and PS3 games and systems as gifts given out so let's do our best to get some before the lucky fools do. OK, enjoy yourselves--and remember, there'll be fewer coffee breaks, OK? Stay in touch from time to time with our cell 'phones, got it? Right, fancy a butcher's and in the words of The Eagles, please come home for for Christmas, OK?"

"ROGER!!" said The Retinuse before they dispersed, along with The Geniues, whilst Robin headed for the soda section before checking out the Neo Geo scene.

As HM Queen Mercedez was picked back up from falling two of the closest soldiers snapped into action to catch her to stop her from falling down the stairs. "Are you ok ma'am?" said one soldier in a thick english accent. "I hope you don't have a fall like that one again. Would you like an escort to stop from that kind of thing, I can have a servant over here right away ma'am."

Thorold and Paladin greeted the Pan-Arab Barronian visitors and a few other Grestonian Premiers and other officials visiting. After taht they stood there and learned that the Colstream delegation was arriving soon, so they waited.

John Batther saw High General Oron talking with Prince Sebastian, General Strom and their wives. He walked over greeted High General Oron then did the same to General Strom and Prince Sebastian. "It is wonderful to see that you made here alright. Well enjoy the party, I hope you like the orchestra, and of course the food."

The High General stepped forward and shook General Strom's hand. He then launched into a lengthy discussion about Doomani weapons. Strom seemed to be genuinely interested after all soldiers love talking about weapons. First Lady Nadia Oron then approached the Chancelloress.

"Hi I'm Nadia Oron, I don't believe I got your name."

Jim looked around the room, at all the stiff, proper, dignitaries, pulled his flask out of his pocket, took a swig, and walked over to a group of them, he believed he recognized one of them as The High General, of Aurum Domus.

There was regular chatter and noises as people talked and ate. In the background the Grestonian Philharmonic and the Greston Cello Orchestra started tumimg and practicing. After twenty minutes of the tuning the red curtains pulled away then the Grestonian Philharmonic started playing first they played carrol of the bells.

The High General stepped forward and shook General Strom's hand. He then launched into a lengthy discussion about Doomani weapons. Strom seemed to be genuinely interested after all soldiers love talking about weapons. First Lady Nadia Oron then approached the Chancelloress.

"Hi I'm Nadia Oron, I don't believe I got your name."

General Strom was no fan of Doomani weapons, but he recognised capability when he saw it, and indeed, Barronia would probably be swarming with Doomani-built armaments if it were not for the inevitable international backlash, such as when the Domans made that 24-hour alliance with the Doomani. Not that that should be mentioned of course, so Strom merely asked the usual questions - "is it any good", "how does it compare to HDI", and so forth, in an attempt to drum up conversation.

"Mrs Oron - a pleasure to meet you. I'm Santina Verona-Barron, although most just call me Santina. Seeing as the boys are talking, a drink perhaps?"

Turning, she found Batther walking over. Giving her admirance of the orchestra, she turned to the bodyguards, still stood unmoving behind them.

"Sergeant, would you like to stay here, please. General Strom will give you further orders."

A firm nod, followed by a "Yes Ma'am" signalled his affirmation.

OOC: Greston, just for the record, the Chancelloress is married to Prince Sebastien, who is RPed by Skamania and Duloc. I don't know if he's planning to do this one, but he's not at the ball now. General Strom isn't married. Just a heads-up, as it confuses me sometimes.

The Easen Philharmonic then continued to play Two French Dances, Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in D minor by Opus Number, Concerto for piano and orchestra in C major by Antonio Salieri, Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 in D major by Johann Sebastian Bach only the entire orchestra played instead of only a cello, violin, viola, and violone. They also played an orchestra version of The Fisrt Nowell which was arranged by Victor Hely-Hutchinson. Then they finished their performance with an orchestral version of O Holy Night.

Due to a war warning, the Vice President and the Foreign Minister has been flown back to the Republic Of Colstream. However, the Colstream President, James Parker, will attend the party.

The Colstream President, James Parker arrived at the Party. He immediately moved into the ballroom. Flanked by 2 heavily Built Bodyguards, veterans of the Colstream Spetsnaz, he approached Tharrold and Peladin.

It was Thorold's turn to greet people so he greeted the Colstream President as he walked up to him.

Prince Sebastien walked into the ballroom with the several guards that had been told to protect him. Dressed in the best attire he could find, he looked at the other guests until he found Santina, the Barronian woman who he had recently married. As he walked towards her, he thought about how they first met and how he never expected to marry her or even fall in love with her.

"Mademoiselle, it is a pleasure to see you here in Greston and may I say that you look beautiful tonight." Sebastien smiled at Santina as he studied her with his eyes for a couple of seconds. "Perhaps we could dance together, Mademoiselle?" Sebastien said before he pointed to the dance floor.

The Golden Finch Brigade stood in a perfectly straigt line that lead straight to the door as if their lines was a hallway. The delegates would walk through the "hallway" then a hand, either Thorold of Paladin, would greet them after checking their name off of the guest and attendence list. The first people to arrive were of course Jim from The Beatus and John Batther who had left the funeral of Edwardo Listless together. Then the Miamorga delegation arrived and Thorold greeted him at the door. The same routine occured when Lord Sinjin Kincannon, Khardri Van Maartin, Lord Arial Roth, Lady Shai'saia,Lune Roth, and HM Queen Mercedes Merideath Hexx from Taanara and High General Samuel Oron and First Lady Nadia Oron from Arum Domus arrived.

Outside the Tower it was fairly calm except for when HM Mercedes tripped down one of the sets of stairs. But inside it was crazy, servants were running all around to attend to the various guests all ready there or coming in. Food was being served to specific tables while other were still be waited on. John sat at a table close to the stage were the Grestonian Philharmonic, the Easen Boys Quire, Grestonian Cello Orchestra, and the Jast Boys and Girls Quire would perform later into the night. He walked over to Emperor Miamorga to speak to him.

Miamorga looked up from his drink to see a man approach him. The man was walking at a brisk pace and as he drew closer he realized it was John. Miamorga Greeted him and seemingly eurgently asked "So how do you like the party? Do you know by any chance if there are any single women attending ? My advisor said i have to pick a maiden soon or someone will be picked for me. God i just hate having constant pressure in my personal life 24/7.
