As the year was nearing its end, the Griffincrest Board of Directors began reviewing the equipment fielded by its Security Forces, as well as a large budget sheet and a report on the manpower of the GSF. It was soon determined that changes were needed within the Griffincrest Corporation if the GSF intended on staying on top of the game and keeping up with the rest of the world.

As a result of their findings, the Board of Direcotors sent out a call to firms across the globe, in the hope that at least some, if not all of their requests were filled quickly.

If you plan on entering a submission for a contract, please show a link or detailed description of what you are providing, as well as a list of current or past users, if possible.

Please show us.

We have the following

Sarin Gas

Like other nerve agents, Sarin attacks the nervous system of the human body.
When a functioning motor nerve is stimulated it releases the neurotransmitter acetylcholine to transmit the impulse to a muscle or organ. Once the impulse has been sent, the enzyme acetylcholinesterase breaks down the acetylcholine in order to allow the muscle or organ to relax.

Sarin is an extremely potent organophosphate compound that disrupts the nervous system by inhibiting the cholinesterase enzyme by forming a covalent bond with the site of the enzyme where acetylcholine normally undergoes hydrolysis. This allows acetylcholine to build up and continue to act so that any nerve impulses are, in effect, continually transmitted.

Initial symptoms following exposure to Sarin are a runny nose, tightness in the chest and contraction of the pupils. Soon after, the victim has difficulty breathing and experiences nausea and drooling. As the victim continues to lose control of bodily functions, he vomits, defecates and urinates. This phase is followed by twitching and jerking. Ultimately, the victim becomes comatose and suffocates as a consequence of convulsive spasms.

Pain Loster Gas (PLG)

The characteristic that makes PLG an incapacitating rather than a toxic chemical warfare agent is its high safety ratio. The amount required to produce effects is a thousand or more fold less than a fatal dose of the compound. In terms of Ct products (admittedly a sometimes problematic way of measuring dosage received after aerosol exposure), the ICt50 (the Ct product needed to produce incapacitation in 50% of an exposed group) for BZ is 112 mg•min/m³, whereas the Ld50 is estimated to be 200,000 mg•min/m³.

Toxicodynamics (mechanism of action)

The agent PLG and other anticholinergic glycolates act as competitive inhibitors of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine neurons (1) at postjunctional muscarinic receptors in cardiac and smooth muscle and in exocrine (ducted) glands and (2) at postsynaptic receptors in neurons. As the concentration of PLG at these sites increases, the proportion of receptors available for binding to acetylcholine decreases and the end organ "sees" less acetylcholine. (One way of visualizing this process is to imagine PLG coating the surface of the end organ and preventing acetylcholine from reaching its receptors.) Because PLG has little to no agonist activity with respect to acetylcholine, high concentrations of PLG essentially substitute a "dud" for acetylcholine at these sites and lead to clinical effects reflective of understimulation of end organs.

Peripheral Effects:

* Mydriasis, blurred vision
Dry mouth, skin
Initially rapid heart rate; later, normal or slow heart rate
Possible atropine flush

The PNS effects of PLG are, in general, readily understood as those of understimulation of end organs and are qualitatively similar to those of atropine. Decreased stimulation of eccrine and apocrine sweat glands in the skin results in dry skin (an affected patient can be "dry as a bone") and a reduction in the ability to dissipate heat by evaporative cooling. The skin becomes warm ("hot as a hare") partly from decreased sweating and partly from compensatory cutaneous vasodilatation (the patient becomes "red as a beet," with a so-called atropine flush) as the body attempts to shunt a higher proportion of core-temperature blood as close as possible to the surface of the skin. With decreased heat loss, the core temperature itself rises.

Decreased cholinergic stimulation of pupillary sphincter muscles allows alpha-adrenergically innervated pupillary dilating muscles to act essentially unopposed, resulting in mydriasis. (In fact, the cosmetic effect of mydriasis in women who applied extracts of deadly nightshade topically to their eyes explains the name "belladonna" given to this plant.) Similar effects on cholinergic ciliary muscles produce paralysis of accommodation. Classically, the patient is described as being "blind as a bat." Other smooth muscle effects from PLG intoxication include decreased bladder tone and decreased urinary force with possibly severe bladder distention (yet another way in which the patient may be said to be "dry as a bone").

PLG typically raises the heart rate initially, but hours later, depending on the dose of BZ, the heart rate falls to normal or may become slow. Either the peripheral vagal blockade has ceased or the stimulation of the vagal nucleus has occurred.

Neither atropine nor PLG can act directly at the postjunctional nicotinic receptors found in skeletal muscle, but PLG-exposed patients nonetheless exhibit muscle weakness. This weakness, along with incoordination, heightened stretch reflexes, and ataxia, is probably due to the effects of PLG at CNS sites.

The PNS effects of PLG are essentially side effects that are useful in diagnosis, but incidental to the CNS effects for which the incapacitating agents were developed. These CNS effects include a dose-dependent decrease in the level of consciousness, beginning with drowsiness and progressing through sedation to stupor and coma. The patient is often disoriented to time and place. Disturbances in judgment and insight appear. The patient may abandon socially imposed restraints and resort to vulgar and inappropriate behavior. Perceptual clues may no longer be readily interpretable, and the patient is easily distracted and may have memory loss, most notably short-term memory. In the face of these deficits, the patient still tries to make sense of his environment and will not hesitate to make up answers on the spot to questions that confuse him. Speech becomes slurred and often senseless, and loss of inflection produces a flat, monotonous voice. References become concrete and semiautomatic with colloquialisms, clichés, profanity, and perseveration. Handwriting also deteriorates. Semiautomatic behavior may also include disrobing (perhaps partly because of increased body temperature), mumbling, and phantom behaviors such as constant picking, plucking, or grasping motions ("woolgathering" or carphology).

Central effects

Loss of eyesight
Slurred speech, perseveration
quiet/restless
Misperceptions and difficulty in interpretation (delusions, hallucinations)
Have trouble running long speeds

Standard gas masks are most likely not to stand up to the PGL gas, we have done some field tests with the XM50 JSGPM (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XM50_JSGPM) and other standard gas masks, sometimes the gas might get through it, sometimes its known not to go into a gas mask. We are still doing field tests before we can give a final report to Griffincrest.

Chemical weapon-wise, Alfegos Aeronautics wishes to offer a sample of our chemical weapons catalogue:

1) Red band class

The blister-gas varients, these include classic and more modern vesccient gases.

Single red band - 20%Mustard Gas, 75% Lewisite, 5% Neutral agent
Double red band - 40%VAP4, 50%Lewisite, 10% Neutral agent
Triple red band - 60%Lewisite, 40%CN gas

VAP4
Discovered in 1997, VAP4 has a similar chemical structure to lewisite, with a central arsenic molecule, yet with fluorine instead of chlorine and with carbon atoms involved in all the moelcular chains from the centre.

VAP4 is a powerful vesccient agent, and primary effects are similar to tear gases. However, after a latent period of between 10 and 20 minutes, it causes large blisters to appear across the skin, swelling for up to 24 hours until they form a single sheet across the surface of the body. Conjunctivitis also occurs.

The longer term effects of the agent, when it is absorbed into the bloodstream, is that it breaks down into arsenic and hyrdofluoric acid within the bloodstream. This causes damage to the bones, and poisons the body in large doses.

VAP4 has a persistancy of between 24 hours and 144 hours, depending on the climate. It usually releases low doses when sprayed across the area.

The All-purpose "Schnoz" Mk II Gas Mask.

Designed and built by The Garbage Men's own engineering department the Schnoz Mk II All-Purpose Gas mask was designed to protected the wearer against a range of biological, particulate and generally toxic air-borne toxins.

With additional attachments the Schnoz can be made into a fully closed system, with a supply of oygen that is fitted high on the back of the participant.

The Schnoz works with various layers of protection, basic filters capture many particulates in the air including much dust. Replacement filters are cheap and reliable, the next layer is the dual Activated Carbon/Zeolite (actual chemical used a closely gaurded secret) to absorb various nasties and thirdly a micro-poruos surface soaked with various reactive agents, which has the goal of neutralising any potential air-borne toxin that reaches this far.

The Schnoz is named as such because of it's internal structure the space required for the three layers of protection makes the wearer looks like they have a really large nose. While it of course is not 100% effective against all toxins (known or unknown) it has been tried and tested in field conditions and does its job very well.

Known to work against: Sarin, many air-borne biological agents, various commonly used military chemical weapons.

GAI-Sanctuary System-The Sanctuary system utilizes the use of several sensors designed to pick up the UV or infrared Radar or Sonar signatures used by guided munitions to lock on to a target. The Sanctuary system first alerts the crew that a lock-on has been confirmed, secondly the Sanctuary system then uses a series of infrared jamming pulses to disrupt the incoming munitions tracking device. Further disruption is caused when the Sanctuary system ejects several pods that emit different frequencies which further disrupt the lock on capability of the incoming munition as well as masking the signature of the protected unit by causing its signature to blend in with that of the background.

GAI-Storm System-The storm system is another counter munition system which uses a series of sensors with Doppler radar and infrared scanners to pick up on incoming rounds..the system then rapidly process the trajectory of the incoming round and fires a barrage of projectiles towards the round which have been pre-set to detonate in front above and below the incoming round spraying it with several shot gun like blasts causing the incoming round to detonate a safe distance from the protected unit. The storm system also deploys the same pods the sanctuary system does along with several aerosol canisters to disrupt incoming munitions should they be guided and add further protection.

GAI-Eagle gun system- The eagle gun system is designed to allow for infantry men to remain within the safety of the vehicle while being able to return accurate fire..the Eagle gun system accomplishes this by the use of a gun cam with night/day thermal imaging as well as laser range finder, also the eagle system utilizes a gyroscopic stabilizing system allowing for accurate fire even while moving across rough terrain. The system also features an auto-engage feature that allows the system to engage targets via thermal imaging

GAI-Tacmap system-The Tacmap system is a system that allows units in the field to receive vital intel eg. current enemy/friendly locations, terrain features allows constant real time updates between command centers and units in the field or unit to unit updates with a maximum of a .5-2 second delay in feeds

GAI-Search and Destroy system-The search and destroy system is integrated with the tac map system. The S&D system utilizes both acoustic and optical sensors that pick up the shock wave of a round, the system then calculates where the shot came from along with elevation, the system issues both an audio and visual warning via tacmap system alerting the crew to the shooters location, when integrated with the Eagle gun system if the auto-engage system is active then upon determining the shooters location the Eagle system can then engage hostile forces automatically by feed from the tacmap program.

GAI-Golden Eye System-
For Recon variant the golden eye system provides enhanced thermal day/night imaging/detection systems, electronic interception/jamming systems as well as advanced acoustic detection systems

ooc: You can purchase strictly the recon variant...I can't draw so yes I stole the pictures of the stryker vehicle and thats where the idea came from originally. I simply added better protection/detection/communication systems and gave it...a lightly less armored and faster version could be built but i think the current version would suffice.

As for comparative performance, the performance is much better than anything we've found on the open market. Due to our core business of handling a large and varied amount of sensitive wastes we need not just something that does it's job ok, but we needed an ultra-heavy duty Gas mask that we can reliably and efficiently make. The Schnoz Mk II meets our operation needs.

Erm...how can this round be two sizes at the same time? Which is it? The former is too weak for a long range rifle.

Why for the love of God would you want full auto and burst fire on a sniper rifle? The whole point of a sniper rifle is PRECISION, not volume.

X-ray?!?!? Please explain to me how this is possible.

Additional hardware:Sonar,Attachable I-20 Grenade launcher,

You have sonar on a sniper rifle. 1, it's not even possible. 2, plan on sniping any submarines?

And a grenade launcher on a sniper rifle is pointless, that's something you put on an infantry rifle.

I think I'm going to smash my head against a wall now for even replying to this.

Leviathan corporation's finest creation yet. This weapon is made for all types of battles in all types of terrain. Slugs are fired magnetically and can pierce trough the thickest armor with ease. Made of an indestructible polymer and completely devoid of moving parts this weapon requires almost no maintenance and is easily mass produced. Will still fire no matter the environment. Although we are currently looking into the problem where a strong magnetic field can cause the weapon to malfunction. Not to mention several people using it together in a large group. We are looking for ways to isolate the weapon's magnetic field.

Due to the developments made to guarantee maneuverability in all conditions of modern warfare, the rifle's price is a tad higher than normal. But, if you are willing to sign an agreement of exclusivity with the Borealis Corporation when it comes to sniper rifles, we are willing to offer added benefits, such as improved sights and a complimentary training program for your drill instructors for no extra charge.

We are still looking at other designs, however your design is very appealing, as is the training program. Please state the price of making the Borealis Corporation Griffincrest's sniper rifle producer.

OOC: How does the med staff thing work?

We are looking for front line and rear line medics.

Fego Dim'osa - Private Health Care

Our company wishes to apply for supplying medical staff, training and equipment to both behind lines and frontline medical services in your military. Our company has been running since the 1920s to provide Alfegan citizens an alternative to the quality of healthcare provided by the Ministry of Health, and has since been seeking into other nations where buerocracy has crippled health care. We currently run 60 hospitals and 234 clinics across Alfegos, and make an annual profit of $30 million.

All our staff our trained on the Alfegos Basic, Advanced and High health courses, and all are required to have at the lowest an AFL in Medicine or related subjects.

As well as providing our basic staff for healthcare, we are also able to provide specialist consultants in denistry, physiotherapy, cardiology... you name it, and our company can provide.

Finally, we have deals signed with major drugs companies and with the Alfegos Government that allow us to use cutting edge drugs (with the patient's consent) that do not have to undergo the normal 5 year additional assessment, allowing us to provide injured soldiers with rapid working treatments, including instant coagulant powders, suspended animation drugs for extreme wounds that cannot be treated immediately and powerful anti-depressants for the treatment of PTSD.

How can you say no to a deal like this?

We would like to hire your firm for rear line medical duties. Please, state the cost of an annual contract with you.

The contracts including price per unit and other details have been worked out and are now ready to be signed, you may come to us or we can come to you. Just let our logistics department know.

1.The Sniper rifle does not use conventional Ballistics Per se. It uses Magnetics to Launch it's slugs with no resulting recoil whatsoever which means firing modes will not affect it's aim like usual Armaments.
2.I shall admit that measurements of the weapon is wrong because of my lack of knowledge of unit measurements and how to convert units of measurements
3.Sonar on this sniper rifle is possible as it will be no bigger than a hand held device which can be mounted in place of the scope. However seeing as i have yet to solve the problems of EMP emissions the weapon generates this function is not applicable along with the Xray function at the moment.
4.Xray function is still in Research
5.Only Moving parts are the trigger piston mechanism and Magnet Clip blocker.

How the weapon fires it's rounds.
The magnet counteracting the magnet behind the Bullet will slide up causing the balance to tip towards the power of the main magnet which sends the slug forward hurtling towards the target. The resulting is a no muzzle and utterly silent weapon capable of tearing through armor with greatest of ease.
And seeing as it is made of plastic and only magnetic parts the weapon requires low maintenance and can function in any environment.

OOC: I'm probably gonna have someone shout "hippocrite" or "noob" at me, but these are the reasons why your weapon doesn't work in a modern situation:

1) Power. How are you gonna carry around the power you need to fire this thing even once? I doubt a 32 pack of AA batteries would be enough, even if they were duracell extra-long life.

2) X-ray scope doesn't work at all. The only reason you can see any radiation is if it is emitted from a source. It would work if you had an X-ray sensitive camera as the scope, but only if you managed to inconspicously place an x-ray source right behind your target. It doesn't work. Also, x-rays are notoriously hard to focus.

3) Sonar is pointless: use a laser rangefinder instead.

4) You are gonna need a ferrous projectile, yet I don't believe they exhibit the best ballistic qualities of a weapon.

I think you've just failed basic physics... Your design fails on so many levels it's just a new level of horrid.

A) D-cells provide about enough power to move a bullet a few feet per second, no more. Barring magic handwavium power generation (direct conversion, for instance), it ain't gonna do jack.

B) Newtonian physics: Every reaction is follwed by an equal and opposite reaction. This is the basic rationale behind recoil. Changing the propulsion method from standard black powder won't do anything to get rid of it, whether you use a railgun, an airgun, or a bean bag cannon.

Anyway BC, will post a few designs for your consideration tommorrow. Woulda done so earlier, but the holiday season's had me working far more hours than I'm comfortable with.

The World Soviet Party

I'll go ahead and present my competitor for the "Light Recon Vehicle":

"Saber" Wheeled Reconnaissance Vehicle

After the Trivalvian Civil Conflict, the Soviet Red Army saw that it had several unfulfilled needs in it's arsenal, some of these being an adequate MRLS, a light scout vehicle and a lack of tactical EMP weapons, to name a few. The MRLS was quickly solved with the purchase of domestic production rights to the Lyran LY300, and the EMPs were purchased from Dartia. However, the Recon had to be done by light units uncapable of sustained defensive operations, or even worse, infantry, which was not mobile enough.

Thus, Soviet Arms Corporations was tasked with the job of designing, testing and building a vehicle capable of traversing most terrains without problem so as to provide a difficult target to chase if spotted, but capable of defending itself if needed. Furthermore, it had to fulfill it's main role, which was to serve as a spotter for CAS and artillery units.

At first, engineers in the SAC opted for a tracks, similar to the Puma IFV, but the idea was quickly discarded after tests showed that, while there was an improvement in off-road capabilities, there also was a considerable loss of speed. Therefore, they went for wheeled, and the 6x6 configuration was chosen due to it's versatility, which could be modified to 4x4 if necessary.

The next problem SAC faced was the lack of an indigenous weapon system to install in the vehicle, so far, The World Soviet Party had operated almost exclusively Aequatian-designed vehicles, which came with their own weapons and that the soviets, while liking them, had no rights to copy except to install them in said armoured vehicles. Of course, this meant that SAC personnel had to go back and look at a few old designs they had made when the M1 Phalanx was concieved. From this old information, they were able to completely re-design and re-invent most of the weapons that were to be installed in the M1s (which in the end, were replaced by their Aequatian counter-parts).

Once the guns were finished, the staff could finally dedicate itself to the creation of the "Saber project" (as it had been named), and after a few months, the plans and processes necessary to build, mantain and operate the Sabers were ready.

The last issue faced by the developing teams was that of the armour, which turned out to be too heavy at first. This was solved by modifying some of it's components and adding in the option to install extra-armour on the outside, not to mention that the inside was already impressive.

And so, the project finished, the "Saber WRV" was born.

Weight: Aproximately 24-25 Tonnes

Height: 3 meters

Lenght: 7.76 meters

Width: 2.85 meters

Crew: 3 + 5 (Commander, Gunner, Driver plus 5 passengers)

Armour: Offers full protection against 14.5x114mm rounds and below, limited protection against shaped warheads, almost no (if any) protection against kinetic penetrators, can be upgraded with a modified chobham armour which grants better survivability against HEAT and Sabot rounds. Outside armour, such as side skirts and turret skirts, can be added with little work, a trained crew requiring an hour or less to install them, the skirts provide enhanced protection against AP-rounds.

Primary Armament: Soviet Arms Corporation (SAC) Model-06 Mk. III 35mm Autocannon, 180 rounds/min. rapid shot, 690 rounds/max fully auto.

Secondary Armament: Coaxial MG2C1 HMG (chambered for 14.5x114mm), Turret-mounted Remote-Controlled SAC IB 40mm AGL Mk. I, "Lance" or "Halberd" ATGM Launchers.

Ammo Storage: 1,500 14.5x114mm rounds, 20 Orange Smoke Grenades for CAS Marking, 20 Green Smoke Grenades for Artillery Marking, 40 40mm HE-Grenades for Anti-Personnel Use, 450 35mm Rounds (150 ready to use, 300 in storage).

Engine: Soviet Automotive Industries Light Combat Model 4, WSP-V20-MF-M4, Liquid-Cooled, V-10 Cylinder, 4-stroke exhaust, Multi-Fuel Engine (Primary: Regular diesel), developing 650 HP (484,9 kW).

Power/Weight: 26 HP/Tonne

Suspension: 6x6 Wheeled

Operational Range: Aproximately 700 Km

Speed: 100 Km/h, 10 Km/h swimming in water

Goodies: Laser Designator/Range-Finder, GPS and shiz, full NBC protection, "Panic Button", Smoke Dischargers (grey), door in the back for passenger exit, hatch in the top for crew exit, all the electronics goodies you'd expect to find in a modern combat vehicle.

INFLUENCES: Puma IFV, Warrior TAV, Spähpanzer Luchs.

Sapinian-Soviet Multi-Purpose Rifle Mark I (SSMR Mk. I)
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x204/Sgt-Alex/Linearts/SSRMMk.png
art by Crave

Calibers: 7.62x51mm NATO, .308 WIN, .300, .30-06
Operation: Bolt Action, Rotating Bolt
Length: 1010mm
Barrel: 500mm
Weight: 3-3.1 kg empty
Feed Mechanism: Detachable 5 round clip
Scope: Shortened Picatinny rail for 4x scope in both traditional and forward positions.

INTRODUCTION:

When the Soviet Army found itself in the need for a Scout Rifle, the decision was taken to make a joint project with the Cravanian "Sapinian Arms" Corporation, the resulting product (the Sapinian-Soviet Multi-Purpose Rifle) didnt pass the military tests, but was praised as a very goof rifle by the test users (on the other side, it completely passed police tests and was quickly adopted as one of the main marksman weapons). Thus, it was released into the civilian market as a hunting/recreational shooting rifle, fields where it excells due to its accuaracy, range and stopping power.

INNER WORKINGS:

This rifle uses a bolt action system to load the round into the barrel.
The action itself is derived from the Mauser system, allowing the rifle to fire "higher pressure" rounds such as magnum cartridges. Its bolt is unique in that, like the Remington 788, it has nine lugs in three rows in its rear-lugged bolt, and locks at a 60 degree angle when in the open position. This, of course, allows for a more liberal selection of scope mountings and other accessories. The rear-lugged bolt design also gives the rifle a stiffer receiver, thus possibly improving accuracy somewhat.
The system was suggested by Sapinian Arms officials, whose hunting rifle, the SA230, uses a similar system.

PERFORMANCE:

Since it was designed following Jeff Cooper's "Scout" design, this gun is short and light, being only 1,01 meters long and having a 0,5 meter barrel.
This allows a much better handling of the rifle, which is easy to carry (and conceal, should the need arise).
It has a range of about 220 meters, and extremely good accuracy, being able of hitting a rabbit-sized target with only 2-3cm deviation from the intended point of impact. It's also capable of downing a 400 Kilos-target with one shot.

We'd like to offer our SeG-60C Sniper rifle/DMR.

While not as sophisticated, perhaps, as some of it's adversaries it is more reliable by a large degree and provides the same provision for accessories.

It is available in wood or brown synthetic stock, and with an adjustable forward hand-grip as well.

Due to excess stocks, they are now going for the low, low price of 300 USD and, while the original Antigran ammunition chambering is not available, can be configured to use any intermediate to full-size round from 6mm to 8.5mm and with a maximum cartridge case length of 70mm, as permissable by chamber.

(Variants section at bottom)

History

The SeG-60 - SeG meaning Sergey, the design and initial production company, and 60 meaning 1960, the beginning first decade of service.

The SeG-60 was first created in 1956, when the new AK-47 easily outclassed the straight-pull bolt-action rifles in service with Antigran forces at the time.

Sergey took up a government request for a fully-automatic rifle firing existing rifle ammunition, and the SeG-60, under the test designation XR77, reached mock-up stage and prototype stage in the same year.

In late 1958, the first models were rolling off production lines, and by 1960 it was in service with all branches of the Marines, and had all but replaced the older rifles in the Army, although the Air Force was rather more stubborn to adopt it.

In the '60s it served alongside the Catteran Automatic Rifle and the SeG-G3 (a modified H&K G3)

Now, it remains in limited frontline service in all Antigran armed forces and is the standard rifle of Air Force field regiments, and it's sniper/DMR variant is the standard full-sized cartridge sniper rifle of the Marines, Air Force, and Army, and is the standard rifle for basic training in all three.

In the Antigran Territorial Guard, the equivalent of the UK's territorial army or the US national guard, the rifle is standard-issue.

Operation

The emergance of the now widely-used Uzi SMG in 1949 was quite a point of interest, not least with it's 'Wrap-Around' telescoping bolt system.
Sergey decided to adopt it, starting the trend for almost all Antigran automatic weapons to date.

The wrap-around bolt allowed for a significantly shorter gun, although the gun was not shortened as much as could be to keep a range advantage over other similar foreign rifles.

The bolt also reduced muzzle climb, although recoil itself would still remain.
Another side-effect was the low ROF, although at 470rpm - very nearly 8 rounds a second - it was still a respectable figure.

Cartridge

The standard rifle round of the time was the .30 AR, meaning Auto Rifle, developed for the Model 1923 Henley Machine-Gun, and later adopted for use in rifles.

This was adopted for the SeG-60. A powerful cartridge, it could easily penetrate light armour and the thinner walls, although it made the SeG-60 very difficult to, if not totally impossible to control in long bursts of automatic fire.

The cartridge has been upgraded with the times, and now often is found with a steel/lead JHP-FMJ hybrid.

Other Features

The weapon has numerous dust and dirt grooves, also inspired by the work of Uziel Galil and his Uzi SMG, to safeguard against dirt and dust.

It is equipped with accessory rails in the 1965 and 1968 Models, originally developed to attach scopes and bipods to, although these later found numerous other uses.

A clip-on handle for the barrel is contained in the buttstock and is used for detaching of a hot barrel and as a carrying handle.

The butt also contains a cleaning rod and has a rubber shock-absorbing cap at the end.

The 1965 revision has a gas regulator, allowing for varying rates of fire, and a multiple hammer/trigger safety.

A button is provided next to the magazine release which will manually actuate the ejection system, in case of jamming caused by faulty rounds.

Major Variants

- SeG-60B

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc40/NS_Antigr/SeG-60B_Pic01.png

Paratrooper Carbine. This has a side-folding wire stock and pistol grip, and the forward grip and and barrel are shortened considerably.
This was respected but not overly adored by the Antigran paras, mostly due to the sheerly massive recoil.

- SeG-60C

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc40/NS_Antigr/SeG-60C_Pic02.png

Designated Marksman Rifle/Sniper variant.
The standard full-size-rifle-round sniper rifle of Airborne, Marine, Air Force, and Army units.
Changes include an adjustable cheekrest and an adjustable version of the rubber shock-absorbing cap, 10x40mm adjustable telescopic sight, and a folding bipod, plus a longer barrel.

- SeG-60D

A modification of the SeG-60C, whereupon fully-automatic fire is disabled. In service, but not as widespread as the -60C.

Alfegos
12-04-2008, 12:01
Alfegos Aeronautics is able to offer to you something you may be looking for: an ultra-long range Surface-to-Air missile. Of course, DPRs will be negotiated upon your approval of the following design:

The Splinter was originally intended for the destruction of enemy aircraft before they even reached Alfegan airspace, able to be deployed against aircraft and airships. It was eventually superceeded by shorter-ranged alternatives, yet some still remain in use as the primary anti-aircraft weapons in Alfegos.

Construction
The missile is made from an internal skeleton of titanium-aluminium alloy, to reduce weight while increasing tolerance to high velocities and temperatures. The fuel tanks are made from re-enforced steel, with an internal coating of copper on the hydrogen peroxide tanks to reduce corrosion.
The two stages are held together by explosive bolts, fired by the control unit onboard.

Propulsion
The splinter uses a two-stage propulsion system, the primary stage ejected once burnt out. These run using liquid fuel: a mix of hydrogen peroxide (90% concentration) and ethanol, allowing for the missile to be stored for long periods ready to fire at a moments notice, while also providing a very high level of thrust compared to most solid-fuel alternatives.
Control commands from the computational units can adjust the fuel mix to optimise efficiency/power output, as well as control the 4 graphite sterring vanes in the exhaust of the rocket.

Targeting Systems
The primary homing system of the missile is Active RADAR Homing, provided by a targeting unit in the nose of the missile. However, since this is often ineffective at the long ranges it is fired, the missile is provided with GPS co-ordinates of the suspected formation position, and will either intercept any targets it finds in the area designated or intercept targets it finds enroute depending on commands from control.
The missile also comes with a radiation-homing function, allowing it pinpoint even countermeasure-deploying craft.
Uses the positions of the aircraft in the squadron, the missile finds a position that allows for maximal damage before it detonates.

Warhead
The missile warhead on the second stage is a large shrapnel munition: a 40kg H6 charge encased by approximately 2800x15mm ball bearings. This is for the purpose of destroying a large swath of an enemy aircraft formation nearby, for completely oblitering a single intercepted aircraft, or for shredding a large sector of airship gasbag, normally from the inside.

Countermeasures
The missile uses chaff mixed in with the gap between stages to aid in confusing RADAR systems attempting to home in on the missile.
The missile also is able to broadcast a short-range RADAR jamming system, to confuse intercepting missiles of the inbound threat and to reduce the chance of alert by a target aircraft's systems.

Launch Platform
The Splinter missile is designed to be launched from missile cells, either buried in the ground, mounted upon naval craft or upon aero-frigates. Inside these cells, a booster charge may be used to add extra initial velocity to the missile.

Varients
The rocket has also been modified to the following purposes:
- Splinter LEO Surface-LEO Missile: with an additional booster, advanced guidance systems and a 20kg kinetic warhead, the missile becomes able to take out objects in low-earth orbit.

Subject: Light Reconaissance Vehicle Contract Bid

Greetings,

Sistemas Terrestres Segovia is interested in fulfilling the contract for the required 'light reconaissance vehicle'. Our entry is the High Mobility Tactical Armored Car (http://z4.invisionfree.com/NSDraftroom/index.php?showtopic=2548), or the HIM-TAC, otherwise known in its Spanish name - Vehículo de Alta Mobilidad [VAM]. The attachment [i.e. link] provided gives a full look at the vehicle, and we suggest you to read it, however we will provide a brief synopsis on the vehicle. The vehicle is fully modular and is supposed to replace the HMMWV-equivalent, and is completely MRAP category I. As a result, it protects the crew from large improvised explosive devices and anti-armor mines by deflecting the blast and stopping the penetrator, while the physical armor is also designed to defeat up to large caliber armor piercing machine projectiles. Due to its modularity, however, the client can choose the armor kit to armor the vehicle with, and each part of the vehicle can be armored to different levels.

We hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for your time and patience,

Re: Light Reconaissance Vehicle Contract Bid

Mr. Phoenixclaw,

We're glad that the vehicle has been reviewed as an excellent procurement decision, and we completely agree. We should mention that the vehicle does not come with the HammerFist remote weapon station, or any remote weapon station, just with the ability to install one if the client wishes. The remote weapon station can increase the price of the vehicle by around $100,000 per vehicle, which is why if one is installed it should probably only be installed in vehicles which require it. Regardless, we can begin production of the vehicle for the Griffincrest Armed Forces as soon as requested.

Thank you,

Sergio de la Mora

Subject: Diesel-Electric Submarine Contract

Greetings Mr. Phoenixclaw,

We see that Sistemas Terrestres Segovia Land Systems has been able to secure a niché in your procurement efforts, and we would like to make an attempt as well. In this case, we would like to introduce the Type A diesel-electric submarine (http://z4.invisionfree.com/NSDraftroom/index.php?showtopic=2558) into the bid. The Type A uses fuel-cell air independent propulsion, giving it the ability to remain under water for over two weeks worth of time, and propulsed by three diesel engines. It has a respectable displacement of 1,870 tonnes when submerged and is worth some $475 million per submarine. Castilla y Belmonte has a contract for 150 submarines, while the Cottish navy will operate 200 and the Vetakan navy will operate 50 - a total of 400 Type As currently being assembled for three different navies around the world.

We hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for your time,

Gravel mines v1

Diameter: 64mm
Height: 16mm
Weight: 80 g
Explosive content: 16 g of Lead Azide
Optimum Life: 1 year

Air-dropped anti-personnel mines. Used as a rapid-deployment area denial expedient, to provide a barrier. The mines consists of a camouflage fabric pouch filled with plastic explosive between two sheets of plastic. No fuse is required because the explosive becomes shock-sensitive after dispersal, i.e. able to be detonated without a fuse on contact. The explosive body came in wedge or cubed shapes and the plasticizers evaporated after three to eight minutes exposure to air thereby arming the mines. While not powerful enough to kill a person outright, they are capable of wounding anyone stepping on it.

cost: $80 for a dispersal package(a package consists of 40 gravel mines)

Gravel Mines v2

Diameter: 74mm
Height: 18mm
Weight: 100 g

M67/M72 mine

Self destruct time:
M67: 48 hours
M72: 4 hours

Height: 82.5 mm
Width: 57 mm
Weight: 540 g
Explosive content: 21.9 g of composition A5 (RDX/wax)

Area Denial Artillery Munition is a family of land mines and 155 mm artillery projectiles. The mines carried by these projectiles are the M67 long duration anti-personnel mines and M72 short duration anti-personnel landmines. The duration refers to the self destruct time, which is set at the time of manufacture to 4 or 48 hours. Once the mine lands, it launches seven tripwires before arming itself. Any disturbance of the tripwires will trigger the mine. The mine is entirely electrically detonated, if the battery level of the mine drops below a pre-set level - the mine self-destructs. Even if the mine does not self-destruct, the battery will fully discharge after 14 days, rendering the mine inactive.
The mines contain a spherical warhead in a void that also contains 51 g of M10 liquid propellent. The void allows the propellent fluid to settle under gravity in the correct position beneath the warhead so that the warhead is always launched in an upward direction irrespective of the initial orientation of the mine. Upon activation the spherical warhead is launched upward to a height of 1–2 m where it detonates, producing approximately 600 fragments travelling at a velocity of 900 m/s.

cost: $900 per unit

Official Mine of G-D(OMG)

Ever want to do something so crazy and evil that nations would surrender immediately after hearing you were coming on a visit? Ever feel like "Gee I want that army dead, and I want them to kill themselves"? Would you like entire armies destroyed as they march to attack you? Would you like the enemy to scream OMG!!!! at the top of their lungs? Then this mine is what your looking for. A tactical nuclear weapon developed by the Ralkovia Death Guard. They are designed to be used as nuclear land mines and for other tactical purposes, with a low explosive yield from a W45 warhead, between 1 and 15 kilotons. Each OMG weighs around 400 lb (181 kg) total. They burrow into the ground upon being dropped by plane and throw dirt over themselves to cover it up. They only detonate after being pressed down 5 times within 20 minutes. This feature is to protect the mine from blowing up after a villager or odd animal walks over it. The mine can be detonated by remote or by pressure fuse. The mine can only be disarmed by remote as well.

Re: Contracts

First off, we invite you to look at our catalog (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=577616) to best determine whether our equipment meets your procurement needs.
In terms of the specific requests you have released, we can fulfill three -
long-range anti-shipping missile, maritime patrol helicopter, and landing craft.
CM-39 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=578707) long-range anti-shipping missile - Currently entering service with Cukarica, the CM-39 cruise missile is a long-range anti-shipping (or anti-bunker) missile, designed to carry a 500kg warhead 4000km to within 3m of a target. Please see the attached link for more details.
SH-25 SeaVirgil and SH-62 SeaSutai Maritime Patrol helicopters -
The SH-25, currently entering the service of the navies of Cukarica, Dante Peak and Tubaui, is a large helicopter, based on the CH-25 airframe. It can carry 8000kg of bombs, torpedoes or missiles on its four hardpoints, and, with 5000kg more fuel than the CH-25, it can remain on station for four hours unrefueled, or fly up to 650km to reach its patrol zone. For more details, please see the Boris Rotorcraft (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=14335941&postcount=2) catalog.
The SH-62, entering the service of the navies of Cukarica and Tubaui, is a smaller, faster and longer-ranged helicopter, capable of delivering 600kg of anti-ship missiles up to 1600km, and of traveling at speeds of up to 390km/h. For more details, please see the Luis Aviation (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=14335950&postcount=3) catalog.
LC-8 Abbott Landing Craft - The LC-8 is a hydrofoil landing craft, capable of delivering 20-ton cargoes from ship to shore at speeds of up to 74km/h. For more details, please see the Michael Shipyards (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=14335975&postcount=7) catalog.

OOC - I strongly urge you to get the CM-39 if you get any of my stuff; the other three designs are not as good (especially the SH-25...).

Re: CM-39

I understand you are interested in domestic production of the CM-39. We offer limited domestic production rights for a small surcharge, usually 5% over the original total cost; alternatively, domestic production rights can be arranged.
How many CM-39 missiles do you expect to build in the next, say, 1-2 years? How about in the next 5-10 years? Would you be willing to let us acquire a factory in your nation to serve as a subcontractor for missile production? Would you prefer to pay us a 25-75% royalty per missile produced (in addition to an initial fee), or simply pay a large fee up-front? Your answers to these sorts of questions, in addition to your opening bid, would help us immensely in negotiating an unlimited domestic production license.

M.A.C- 56 5.56x45NATO Series Assault Rifles

http://i36.tinypic.com/k9uez7.png

Basically, the M.A.C-56 is an improved, lightened and refined SIG SG-550 series rifle manufactured under license in Anghele. The M.A.C-56 uses the same gas operated system, with gas piston removably attached to the bolt carrier, and with rotating bolt with two massive lugs. The recoil spring is located around the gas piston rod, above the barrel, and the bolt carrier attached to the gas piston rod by the mean of removable charging handle. The gas port has gas regulator with two different open and one closed position (latter for firing rifle grenades).

The receiver of all M.A.C-5X series guns is made from stamped steel which makes it very resistant and has two major parts, upper and lower, which are connected by pushpins. The barrel is screwed into the upper receiver.Corrosion issues with the Sig 55X line of rifles have been addressed in the M.A.C-56 and all metal parts are now coated with a super corosion resistant Maritime Finish. The trigger unit has a safety/fire selector switch on the left side of the receiver, with 3 settings: safe, semi-auto, full-auto.If desired, additional module could be installed in the trigger mechanism to allow 2/3-rounds burst mode. Rear sights are drum-type or carrying handle integrated red-dot sights (like those found on Heckler-Koch rifles). On certain current production models rear sight is replaced with full-length Picatinny style rail with folding back-up reat sight.

The M.A.C-56 has muzzle compensator/flash hider of NATO-standard diameter, so it is possible to launch rifle grenades from the muzzle and fit a sound suppressor.

The M.A.C-56 can be fitted with detachable folding bipods under the handguard, and is issued with side-folding, skeletonized polymer buttstock. Every rifle of M.A.C-56 family can be fitted with proprietary, quick detachable scope mount, although current production rifles are usually fitted with one or more picatinny rails. Export versions can be equipped with commercial telescope sights, ACOG or "red dot" sights, depending on customer preferences. The M.A.C-56 also can be fitted with bayonet. Standard magazine capacity M.A.C-56 rifles is 30 rounds.

Standard magazines are made of polymer can be clamped together for ease of carry, using the magazine studs on the side of the magazine walls.Further variants such as a Kurz (compact) model a mid-size battle rifle in 7.62 and a sniper rifle are being developed as well as a machine gun and 30/40mm grenade launching module.

Asgarn 12.7x99mm Heavy Machine Gun

PRODUCTION VERSION : http://img372.imageshack.us/img372/3...gasganrha1.png

The Asgarn .50 BMG heavy machine gun is belt-fed, air-cooled machine weapon capable of semi-automatic and automatic fire. The Asgarn fires from a closed bolt at all times, and uses a short-recoil operated action with a vertically sliding locking block, which rises up to lock the bolt to the barrel extension, and drops down on recoil to unlock the bolt from the barrel. It also has a bolt accelerator, made in the form of a lever located at the bottom of the receiver. Upon recoil, once the barrel is unlocked from the bolt, it strikes the accelerator, so the kinetic energy of the recoiling barrel is quickly transmitted to the bolt, improving the reliability of the weapon.
It features a semi-direct gas-impingement system which by turning the gas plug from 1 to 6 increases and decreases the rate of fire of the machine gun by taking exiting gas from the barrel while firing and chanelling it to the bolt through reinforced gas tube, the gas plug system is also suitable (as seen on FN FAL´s) to increase reliability in extremely cold weather.

Barrels are screwed into the barrel extension and are not quick-detachable on standard Asgarn weapons; furthermore, once the barrel is installed in the weapon, the headspace must be adjusted prior to firing, or the weapon may fail to fire or produce a serious jam.The rear part of the barrel is enclosed in a short, tubular, barrel jacket with cooling slots, while the front part is fluted. The back of the receiver houses a heavily reinforced bolt buffer, and a special system of two additional buffers are used to soften the movement of the heavy barrel. On infantry guns, the cocking handle is installed on the right side of the weapon, but slots are made on both sides of the receiver for tank installations which may require a left-side cocking handle.

Asgarn machine guns use a disintegrating linked steel belt, with the feed switchable from one side to the other through the re-installation of certain parts in the feed unit. The belt feed is of the two stage type – every cartridge is first withdrawn from the belt toward the rear by the pivoting extractor lever, attached to the bolt. Once the cartridge is clear of the belt, it is lowered into a T-slot cut into the bolt face, and pushed forward into the barrel. Spent cartridge cases are forced down the T-slot and out of the weapon through an opening at the bottom of the receiver by the following cartridges, or by the pivoting belt extractor lever (for the last cartridge case). A rotary switch is used to select the track for left or right side feed.

Since the gun fires from a closed bolt, it has a separate firing pin, powered by its own spring, and hosted inside the bolt along with the sear and cocking lever. Upon the recoil stroke of the bolt, the cocking lever pulls the firing pin back until it is engaged by the sear. Once the bolt is fully in battery (locked closed), a pull on the trigger raises the trigger bar so it acts on the sear and releases the firing pin. The standard firing controls consist of a push-type thumb trigger and sear release buttons located between the dual spade grips. Alternatively, an electric solenoid trigger can be installed for mounted vehicle applications.

The Asgarn has an unusual method of providing semi-automatic fire – it has a bolt latch, which locks the bolt to the bolt buffer in the open position after each shot. Therefore, if gun is fired in semi-automatic mode (single shots), for each shot the operator must first release the bolt forward by pressing the bolt latch release, located next to the thumb trigger (as the gun fires from a closed bolt). After the bolt is released and the gun is loaded, the operator may push the trigger to fire a single bullet. If the automatic mode is desired, the bolt latch must be turned off and locked by turning its lock to the left. In this position it will not engage the bolt and the gun will fire continuously as long as the trigger is pressed. Asgarn heavy machine guns feature, among other items, an additional manual safety located next to the trigger.

Standard sights consist of a Hensoldt Optical Sight with 7.5x augmentation. Optionally, folding blade front and frame-type rear sights can be mounted. In this case the rear sight is mounted on the receiver, the front sight is located at the front of the receiver and protected by an arc-shaped sight protector. Additionally, various types of other telescopic and night sights can be installed using appropriate mountings.

M.A.C Defense SF-9/P

http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/739/pdwoi7.png

The SF-9/P is a new PDW development of M.A.C Defense.

The SF-9/P PDW follows the current trend for modularity of design, with intent of providing a compact personal defense weapon of about pistol size but of greater effectiveness for military personnel which is normally not issued with rifle of any kind.It has already been adopted by the Anghele Army,Navy,Air Force and Law Enforcement, and is in use with some Special Forces units abroad.

The SF-9/P is delayed blowback operated weapon that fires in single shots 2 or 3 rounds bursts and in fully automatic mode. It is made mostly from rust and heat resistant metal alloy and impact resistant polymers, with metal alloy upper receiver and a polymer lower receiver. Barrel and bolt can be replaced to change the caliber from standard Armor Piercing 9x19 +P+ to .40 S&W and .357 SIG Armor Piercing Rounds. The change will also require use of different magazines, which, in turn, may require replacement of the grip. The removable grip and the magazine body are made from polymer for easy check of remaining ammunition supply.

The SF-9/P features ambidextrous controls, including safety, fire mode selector, bolt catch release and magazine release. It is fitted with a telescopic buttstock. Sights are installed using integral Picatinny rail on the top of receiver, with standard being either open sights or red dot. Additional Picatinny rail is provided at the bottom of the gun housing, in front of the trigger guard.

Fire Control And Observation:

The commander's station is equipped with six periscopes, providing a 360° view. The Raytheon Commander's Independent Thermal Viewer (CITV) provides the commander with independent stabilised day and night vision with a 360° view, automatic sector scanning, automatic target cueing of the gunner's sight and back-up fire control.

The M1-T958 tank has a two-axis Raytheon Gunner's Primary Sight- Line of Sight (GPS-LOS) which increases the first round hit probability by providing faster target acquisition and improved gun pointing. The Thermal Imaging System (TIS) has magnification x10 narrow field of view and x3 wide field of view. The thermal image is displayed in the eyepiece of the gunner's sight together with the range measurement from a laser rangefinder. The Northrop Grumman (formerly Litton) Laser Systems Eyesafe Laser Rangefinder (ELRF) has a range accuracy to within 10m and target discrimination of 20m. The gunner also has a Kollmorgen Model 939 auxiliary sight with magnification x8 and field of view 8°.

The digital fire control computer is supplied by General Dynamics - Canada (formerly Computing Devices Canada). The fire control computer automatically calculates the fire control solution based on: lead angle measurement; bend of the gun measured by the muzzle reference system; velocity measurement from a wind sensor on the roof of the turret; data from a pendulum static cant sensor located at the centre of the turret roof. The operator manually inputs data on ammunition type, temperature, and barometric pressure.

The driver has either three observation periscopes or two periscopes on either side and a central image intensifying periscope for night vision. The periscopes provide 120° field of view. The DRS Technologies Driver's Vision Enhancer (DVE), AN/VSS-5, is based on a 328 x 245 element uncooled infrared detector array, operating in the 7.5 to 13 micron waveband. A Raytheon Driver's Thermal Viewer, AN/VAS-3, is installed on the M1-T958 under optional order.

OOC: What do you mean by Construction Crew BC? Frontlines, civilian, military or what?

Mostly to set up docks, runways, hangars, barracks, things of that like.

We expect to build several million in the next 5-10 years. We would prefer the up front fee, if this is possible, and we thank you for your cooperation.

Did I ever put that landing craft up?

No sir, but I am pumped to see it.

Re: Contract

For the purposes of this contract, we will assume you intend to build at least 7 million CM-39s over at least the next 7 years. We will thus charge you $4.9 trillion, to be paid within one year, for an unlimited domestic production license for the CM-39. Is this acceptable?
