The Mhoudian Transitional council has ordered the killing of 120,000 Christian adult males and the exile and permenant barring of 80,000 Christian Women and childrem, as they are suspected of being on the Side of the hostile neighbouring nation of Zanski, who is aiding seperatists in the Northern region of Jayir in the ongoing Mhoudian Civil War.

The civil war has broke out after the dictatorial Abdullah-al-Majid died, releasing pressure off from many groups, including Liberalists, seperatists and Islamists, the latter of which have a prominent hold in the southern rural areas. Al-Majid struck down all opposition, and in what is known as 'The Great Clearance' killed 100,000-250,000 civillians.

Mhoudia's Christian populace once numbered about four million in 1856 (48% of total population), but most of these were killed in the Wahabi Dar-al-Ummar movement, which also scared off the land's 600,000 Jews.

In response to that message the Scandinvan military began to load their ships to prepare for the direct assault upon Mhoudia which would encompass fifteen legions, 150,000 soldiers, and all their respective armored vehicles, artillery, and logistical support that would be sent in separate craft. As well, the main Scandinvan assembled to about four dreadnaughts, seven heavy aircraft carriers, ten battleships, forty cruisers of varying types, sixty destroyers, and many more smaller craft and escorts of submarines along with the fleet. Furthermore, large contigments of fighters and bombers had been assigned to the fleet to help provide cover for the fleet.

In the meantime though the first of the heavy bombers were being mustered by the Scandinvans to be dispatched to Mhoudia, with fighter cover, to begin the fire bombing of the main cities of Mhoudia and end the people’s will to fight with overwhelming force against their enemies.

King William V was quite saddened by the death of Christians being ordered by the Mhoudian Transitional Council, although he was not angered much by it since he expected as much from a Muslim regime. However, he had been looking for a way to appease many of the Frankish lords, who presided over a considerable Muslim population in the north. This incident would be a good excuse to quiet some criticism.

The night after he first heard of the Mhoudian decree, the King issued his response by declaring that all Muslims from all parts of the Dominion are to be expelled. The Franks were quite happy to mobilize their armies and go through each Muslim village, packing them on trains, and sending them off to coastal cities where they would be shipped away.

What happened in reality was not quite what the King wanted. The decree offered up an opportunity for the Christians and the Muslims, who had been tense neighbors, to get revenge for the various atrocities attributed to each group by the other. Villages that surrendered peacefully were raped, but in most villages open warfare erupted. In all, only about 60% of the Muslims made it on to trains alive.

Lord István Kõszegi, a prominent bishop and leader of the influential Society of the Silverhelms, issued the following decree:

“King William’s Decree is well intentioned, but it is not enough. For justice to occur, all Mohammaden men must be put to death immediately, and any women or children that resist must be slain as well.”

When the Muslims arrived at the coastal cities, riots broke out among the Christian residents. As of right now there is just a bunch of widespread rumours, many true, many false, about violence.]

Islam was an oppressed religion within the Confederacy, hated by all Christians in the nation, and its followers sent to wither away and die in brutal work camps. Muslim-Christian relations have been sour for hundreds of years, since the Exponential Crusade in the 1200's, when Exponential (the old name of the Blackhelm Confederacy was Exponent) crusaders were defeated as they attempted to cross through North Africa and join their European brothers to capture Jerusalem.

Ever since then, there were hostilities. These all boiled up in the Sacrament Law, which required Muslims to wear the crescent moon on their clothing, and banned them from owning property. Eventually, this would lead to the work camps. Anti-Islamic propaganda was everywher throughout the Confederacy, and the recent Muslim uprising in Paradise City caused the opinion of Muslims to sink even further, if that is possible.

The call for a crusade was a popular one within the Blackhelm Confederacy. Thousands of young men began clamouring onto docks and into airports, most armed with very little, although there were the few rich men who paid for their own small forces, who were all armed to the teeth and a few even possessed armored vehicles. The men were all prepared to sail across the sea, and link up with the other crusaders. Together, they would free their fellow Christians from oppression, and spread the word of God to the poor nation of Mhoudia.

Zanski will offer any nations that wish to attack Mhoudia a temporary base in the bordering State of Karfai Desert.

We will dispatch 60,000 soldiers shortly to the south to fight the Mhoudians and offer the Christians a safe haven in our land. Although we admit planning rebellions in Christian towns, this is only because Zanski-Christian Mhoudian relations have always been extremely close, whereas Zanski-Arab/Muslim Mhoudian relations have always been...dodgy, to say the least.

We have currently occupied a strip of land 120 KM2 in the Northern region of Jayir, a region of secularists and moderate muslims. We took this land at the start of the Mhoudian civil war.

Yahyabad, Southern Mhoudia

Yahyabad, or Saint Johnston as it was known in Zanski, was a medium town of eighty thousand two miles from the Zansk Border. ninety-nine percent of these were members of the Coptic Church of Mhoudia. The rest were Gharrakmanists, a religion native to the island on which Zanski and Mhoudia rested on.

In other words, it was 100% outsider.

There were militia there, but they were mostly youths and young adults. The Army of Saint John were the main one, with two hundred armed members ranging from seven to twenty years old. Most had AK-47s, none were trained. Just there to slow down the inevitable genocide in the town.

And they came.

Yesterday, ten thousand Mhoudian troops were ordered to liquidate the whole town, regardless of the women. As it was against islamic law to kill the women & children, this was left to the soldiers from Mhoud city, who were more patriotic than religious.
In the jeeps, they came, hanging, shooting, torturing, molesting anyone that they saw. One account was of a father forced to kill his child to save his other two children and wife. They were killed anyway, the father last so that he could see them die.

But there is a video of about thirty soldiers trying to get into the Church of John the Prophet, and a Saint John's Army squad coming round the corner and massacring them.

However, all of these videos will be burnt.

We wish all the foreigners luck in conquering a hostile and rough nation, covered in mountains and valleys.

It has recently come to my attention that innocent Christians are being killed in the nation of Mhoudia. Further, I have already issued orders activating my nation's military reserves. Reservists of all five Branches are now arriving in droves at the appropriate armories and rallying points, and I have also placed a large part of the National Guard on alert for possible mobilization.

Lastly, due to my nation's present military situation, Roseberg will be accepting Zanski's offer, and wishes to know if there is a limit on what forces may be stationed in the Karfai Desert.

The Mhoudian Transitional council has ordered the killing of 120,000 Christian adult males and the exile and permenant barring of 80,000 Christian Women and childrem, as they are suspected of being on the Side of the hostile neighbouring nation of Zanski, who is aiding seperatists in the Northern region of Jayir in the ongoing Mhoudian Civil War.

The civil war has broke out after the dictatorial Abdullah-al-Majid died, releasing pressure off from many groups, including Liberalists, seperatists and Islamists, the latter of which have a prominent hold in the southern rural areas. Al-Majid struck down all opposition, and in what is known as 'The Great Clearance' killed 100,000-250,000 civillians.

Mhoudia's Christian populace once numbered about four million in 1856 (48% of total population), but most of these were killed in the Wahabi Dar-al-Ummar movement, which also scared off the land's 600,000 Jews.

The ASoGM would suggest you reconsider your actions, before you visit great suffering on your people, via a coalition of people that do not approve of your genocide.

The President ordered a task force assembled to deal with this situation if it becomes necessary. He also sent out an encrypted message to Lord Erida, the Imperial Steward of The Scandinvans, stating his support for the coalition being formed. The President also stated that he would be willing to send a task force to assist, if it came to war.

Today the Jayirian seperatists have declared a peace deal with Mhoudia, in the face of the oncoming Zansk army, which, since the conception of the Zansk state in 1929, has repeatedly destroyed, occupied and annexed Jayir. This has happened three times in the past, and so the Jayirie Blue Cross (muslims) have declared war on the Zansk state and also allowed 120,000 mhoudian troops to fend off the Zansk army.

In other news, Ibrahim al-Mussawir has dissolved the Mhoudian Transitional Council to become the president-for-life as is sanctioned in the Mhoudian constitution written by the late General Abdullah al-Majid, and has sent in 10,000 of the notorious death squad known as the Imperial Mhoudian Hawk to Yahyabad.

As Mr.Tusaqs plane began to circle round the airport, anxiety siezed him up.

After seventy years, the french left, leaving the Jayiries- an ethnic hybrid of Mhoudian and French- behind. The Gharrakans then invaded, and twenty years later the Zansk people set up their homeland on the island after their previous homeland- Terra Zanskidom- was drowned in a tsunami. Mhoudia was the first bit they conquered. Sixty years of non-democracy followed (Zanski, UFAN and New Nicksyllvania intervened whenever it had a chance of happening).

As a C-810 Camel bulk transport took off, under heavy escort from numerous long-range fighter craft (along with an AWACS jet to commence recon...though the flight wouldn't be that long, and wouldn't hit contested territory), a naval armada was gearing up in the port city of Oceana. It would rendevous later from the fleet that had been taken away from the Shredderstan war (as secular hopes had vanished nearly instantaneously with the abandonment of support), to meet and hit Mhoudia. If the Turks wanted to strike and support the fanaticists, than they would be eliminated as well.

It was only a matter of time. The fleet was almost ready to go, under an hour till departure after quite some time preparing. The fanaticists would meet their fate that they had brought upon them.

And they did come, they came from all over, and they silently gathered along the borders, they came on commercial airliners, and charter planes. They came bearing M-14's, and antique bayonets. In return, we will not attempt to enstate a Christian Democracy upon the whole nation of Mhoudia, and thus halt any bloodshed that might occur otherwise. If there is a region of predominantly Christian denizens, we may reorganise it into a Sovereign state, and a Christian Democracy, but only if no death need be involved.

Thank you for accepting our proposal. And rest assured, we will try nothing. We aren't bigoted Christian jihadists, we're just trying to defend our faith. We are largely Kiravian as well. Surely you know that Kiravians never break thier word.

Also, if we attempt to enstate a Christian democracy over a region of Mhoudia, we will make sure that it has a Christian majority BEFORE we take action. And, religious freedom will be preserved. Non-Christian religions will not have their views included in national politics, but the civil and economic rights of their followers shall be retained. Non-Christians would be allowed to vote as well*, but Imams would not have the same political role as Christian clerics.

Again, we thank you for your understanding, and we hope that this bump in the road will not strain future relations.

OOC: Since my thread is dead or dying, I'll participate in this thread. Like the other two posters, I'm RPing a non-government organization.

"Allah Akbar!" was the low, but thundering chant of the ever-growing mob. Tens of thousands from around the region came to the call of Jihad. Armed men walked, rode on camel, or rode in heavy vehicles to the country of calling. The zeal of any man of faith always took him to where he was needed. And as of now, the mob's brothers in Mhoudia called to them. A slow-moving truck drove by, loudspeakers installed in the bed of the truck. It played a forlorn sounding man wailing the Maghrib, the evening prayers.

Almost as one, the legion of men fell to their knees or slipped off their rides to bow down to the setting sun.

"Allah u Akbar! Ash-hadu allā ilāha illallāh. Ash-hadu anna Muhammadan rasūlullāh! Hayya 'alas-salāt. Hayya 'alal-falāh. Aṣ-ṣalātu khayru min an-naūm. Allah u akbar! Lā ilāha illallāh...."

And on the prayer went, prone forms bowing to the quickly darkenning horizon. After the prayers were over, the warriors of Islam, the Jihadi, resumed their march. The tens of thousands of men were only a fraction of the other flocks making their pilgrimage to the threatened land of their people. The negative response from the international community should already be enough incentive to stop these atrocities, and we add ours to the voices calling for sanity. Mhoudia must cease and desist all genocidal activites immediately.

Unfortunately, of equal concern is the large numbers of 'Crusaders' being deployed to the region, who are clearly badly organized and unprofessional. This is clearly a recipe for disaster; allowing boys to do the jobs of men, if you will. The Republic fears that this 'Crusade' will rapidly turn into an excuse for forced conversion and ethnic cleansing of the predominantly Islamic Mhoudian civilian population, as crusades usually do.

Thus, we will be deploying 35,000 soldiers (1 corps/3 divisions) to the region as peacekeepers. They will not engage other forces unless fired upon, including Mhoudian forces. However, they will advance into Mhoudia and prevent atrocities and crimes against humanity from being committed either by Mhoudian government or crusading paramilitary forces in the areas which they occupy. We do not intend to come into direct conflict and reiterate that our soldiers will not initiate any aggressive actions. The 131st Rapid Deployment Division was, as its name suggested, assembled, off the ground and flying to UFAN-occupied holdings in Mhoudia within twelve hours. They would prepare the groundwork for the 357th and 601st Motorized Infantry Divisions, who would act as the main Hamilayan force on the ground, whilst the 131st, with its numerous helicopter regiments, would shift into its common battlefield role as a rapid-response unit.

The 131st Rapid Deployment Division was, as its name suggested, assembled, off the ground and flying to UFAN-occupied holdings in Mhoudia within twelve hours. They would prepare the groundwork for the 357th and 601st Motorized Infantry Divisions, who would act as the main Hamilayan force on the ground, whilst the 131st, with its numerous helicopter regiments, would shift into its common battlefield role as a rapid-response unit.

OOC: My government really doesn't like paramilitaries, just so you know.

We, the New Crusaders, as we have pledged to the Beatan Path of the Blessed, will not be attempting forced conversion or genocide. One who is forced to convert is not a true Christian, and we shall not force those who chose other faiths to profess other than what they believe.

We cannot speak for Non-NC crusaders, but we pledge that our forces will not commit a breach of human rights, nor attempt the atorcities that you describe.

We thank you for your support. It should be noted that an organization being an official government force and/or composed of military veterans does not exclude its paramilitary nature. Unfortunately, we must decline your offer of official collaboration for the time being, as it may cloud the neutrality of the Hamilayan armed forces in this affair. If our forces encounter one another in the field, perhaps they may work together depending on the judgement of the commanding personnel in the situation.

OOC: Velkya, the reasoning is essentially political. This makes it more politically acceptable to the home front, who will balk at sending troops to invade but are happy to send them when it's called 'peacekeeping', and when all fighting is 'self-defence'. Also, if the force runs into trouble, then we can send troops to reinforce them and really invade (after all, we never leave our own troops in the lurch) without mass riots, although those are occuring anyway. We're also hoping that the Mhoudians will be disorganized and cowardly, and some will be cowed by our shiny helicopters into disobeying orders, whether this is true or not.

Die Heiliges Reichsland finds the Mhoudian conduct against Christians completley unacceptable, no people should be persecuted in such a way merely over religious difference, and that is why the Reich is committing 40,000 troops (4 divisions, 2 Infantry, 2 Armored/Mobile) and mobilising the High Seas Fleet to accomodate them (Although, any transportation aid from Christian forces would be greatly appreciated). The Mhoudian Transitional council has ordered the killing of 120,000 Christian adult males and the exile and permenant barring of 80,000 Christian Women and childrem, as they are suspected of being on the Side of the hostile neighbouring nation of Zanski, who is aiding seperatists in the Northern region of Jayir in the ongoing Mhoudian Civil War.

The civil war has broke out after the dictatorial Abdullah-al-Majid died, releasing pressure off from many groups, including Liberalists, seperatists and Islamists, the latter of which have a prominent hold in the southern rural areas. Al-Majid struck down all opposition, and in what is known as 'The Great Clearance' killed 100,000-250,000 civillians.

Mhoudia's Christian populace once numbered about four million in 1856 (48% of total population), but most of these were killed in the Wahabi Dar-al-Ummar movement, which also scared off the land's 600,000 Jews.

The Official FFS forces (not the Crusade volunteers) arrived under Acting-Commander Thomas Carnegie's command, they sought to join the other coalition forces. With ten divisions (an FFS division being 5,000 men) of infantry, two armoured divisions, and a large group of fighters (600) and bombers(100), though, the FFS traditionally having a poor airforce, are not necessarily terribly good. Most commanders would be appreciative of having FFS forces available- they were experienced at counter-insurgency and counter-irregular warfare, and it seemed likely that there would be cells of insurgents in areas largely secured by coalition forces. The Imperium Battlegroup would be giving support to these forces, consisting of the Superdreadnaught FSS Imperator, battleships FSS Napoleon Bonaparte I and FSS Erwin Rommel, heavy destroyers FSS Timberwolf, FSS Bloodhound, FSS Great Hammerhead, and the FSS Beagle, the fast attack submarine FSS Chimera and the aircraft carrier FSS Torreca, under the command of Commander James Mason. They were not there necessarily to help the crusaders, though they were present to put a stop to the genocide occuring in Mhoudia. The fact that communists had openly voiced support for Mhoudia had only served to screw the Mhoudian government over even more.

In light of Mhoudia's barbaric actions, Congress has unanimously voted for a full embargo forbidding travel and commerce between South Lorenya and Mhoudia until Mhoudia's current regime is removed from power.

OOC: Everyone (virtually) getting angry for various reasons (either the genocide, fanatical religion, or getting jihad declared on them by Mhoudia) and declaring war, support, or condemnation against Mhou. Couple people helping out/supporting Mhou (balance is very swayed, naturally...against Mhoudia).

Allanea captured a group of Mhoudian diplomats, while someone (forgot who) called a conference of the warring powers to detail Mhou's fate.

News in foreign affairs, which had, until relatively late, been lax, had suddenly become the hot market for the media. First the newest Nova Europan war broke out, involving Imperial allies and surrounding the Imperial Colony of Nordenland; this interested many, but rarely inspired to great of passion from the masses. Then came the matter in Cripistan, the latest expansion of the Empire; the passions are naturally excited by such advancement of the Fatherland, but the military action has since cooled and it has become far more a civil matter. The Yanitarian affair briefly excited the presses, but it has turned into a flash in the pan, a brief excitement as the new friend of the Empire settles into a stable, if oppressive, new regime.

But now the matter in Mhoudia arose, and the press knew that a brilliant story had fallen right into its lap: an Islamic regime persecutes Christians like the pagans of old, and brave nations, some of them noble Errikan allies, move to a crusade, a powerful image in Errikan culture, an image furthered by the Crusader wording of certain of these nations.

Christmas had come early.

Errikan public opinion was not naturally volatile, at least not in comparison to that of other nations; they were, by nature, a conservative people, not quick to be influenced by the cries of the foolish and brief. However, this matter, involving as it did so many points strong in the Errikan psyche and emphasized to the degree it was in the media, was sure to be different. Soon there was extensive Errikan outrage at the circumstances in the heathen land of Mhoudia, and the people wanted action.

The Grand Republic of One World Alliance hereby officially condems the Mhoudian Transitional Council for its apparent crimes against humanity. These atrocities will not be tolerated by the international community, nor by the Grand Republic.

However, the Chancellor would like to open full diplomatic channels with the Council, in order to engage in diplomatic negotiations to ensure that all alternatives to war and conflict have been exhausted.

The Errikan Emperor leaned back in the chair, taking his gaze from the men beside him to the view across the valley. For a moment he stared off, absorbed in thought. To attack a nation, when it was not a matter of Errikan interests, over a matter entirely within their own borders—such was the manner of the hypocritical bleeding hearts, the fools who had no respect for the absolute right of sovereignty, who had such a limited grasp of the nature of human history as to make the very idea of a “crime against humanity” anything but laughable. It was not the manner of the Empire. It was not the manner of the Fatherland.

Then again, loyalty was the manner of the Empire, or all true Errikans. Loyalty not only to one’s family, one’s country, but to one’s friends. The Empire had friends here, fighting these arrogant mohammadans. And to support them in their crusade against these vermin—well, that is the ultimate demonstration of loyalty.

“Emperor?”

He snapped back into the here and the now.

“Mr. President, Senator,” he began, clearing his throat, “Your thoughts are most logical; yes, the people are strongly in support of a war. And while the state is an organ of the people, both are an organ of the nation, and we are not a democracy, but a republic; we are a nation of laws, not of men, not of popular will.

“That being said,” he said, pausing for a moment, “This is an ultimate matter of Errikan honor. Our friends fight, without our aid, against some of the lowest of savages. Our people are prepared, our forces are prepared. I say we make a show of it, yes?”

Senator Robert Thachman, the leader of the upper house of the national senate, was clearly relieved that the Emperor took this position; as the leader of the major party in the national legislature, he normally held the most sway on matters. However, while the Senate held most of the power of the central government on domestic issues, the executive held the greater sway over matters of foreign policy. Used to being the leading figure in the leading party of the leading branch of the government, he did not like powerlessness. And, of course, his constant immersion in the dirty business of politics made his active concerns more political than ideological, and he was concerned with any possible backlash against his people with an immensely unpopular lack of intervention.

President William Knox was a bit more reserved. Officially, his office shared the executive power with the Emperor, and, ultimately, legally held most of it. Though the office of the Emperor was technically largely ceremonial, the current Emperor was also the writer of the Consitution, and the hero of the Civil War, one of the ideological fathers of the current system. One could hardly complain about him being a little controlling on the matter of foreign affairs, where his power was most real anyway. And Knox, a kept and pragmatic military man, who served side by side with his emperor in that war, was hardly one to do so.

The high military council was unusually absent from this unofficial meeting, but they were behind the Emperor on this matter one hundred percent. They had recently been consulting on the aforementioned Yanitarian situation, and official business now compelled them to be elsewhere.

“Gentlemen,” Emperor Christian I said as the President and Senator stepped back inside, “Let’s not make a habit of this, though.”

Anyone who interacts positively with Aleosite Zaynah(the west ex-Ufan governed strip) will not be allowed a base inside Zanski- They are an enemy to peace in the region.
Zaynah geographically is not good anyway, as it only has one flat bit of land- the capital, Mrahed- this is a warzone and you are likely to get killed by the various militia before you land.

Zanski has set up artilleries bordering the Zanski-claimed portion of Mhoudia that includes Ville de Jayir and will shortly release about one thousand rockets on the suspected Mhoudian bases before we invade again.

The newest Coritz-class cruiser, SSS Hellfire, brought many new ideas to the test. An aircraft carrier as well as a destroyer, it gave up holding more than 15 bombers and 35 fighters to use the lower decks for artillery purposes. Lining the lower floors, artillery pieces stuck out like cannons, loaded with salvos of shells. The plane launch deck was even lined with 2 cruise missle launchers to use as much space as possible on the cramped ship. 4 anti-aircraft guns surrounded the control tower as well.

The ship sailed forward at 40 nautical km/h, preparing to meet its target.

OOC: Mhoudia, what are the specs of the ships defending Mhoud's port? I assume their are at least a few. I need to know so I can know how to move in the SSS Hellfire.

Both of you may 'Rent' a base in the Karfai desert (It's flat and rocky, so it's good for bases), fifty kilometers from the Mhoudian border.

Zanski has begun it's raids on the Western Jayir region which Zanski claims and is assembling 20,000 troops to attack the strip.

"If a Christian state is allowed in Mhoudia," Pablo Azani has been quoted as saying, "Then soon all over the island of Gharrakland the maps will become black with borders. The Gharrakan seperatist movement may resmoulder. Jayir may become independent. Where I come from, in Paramus, the Españo-Paramusians, may spark a seperatist movement. The Chitze immigrants may want a state. Even the Jews, who have blended into our society perfectly and have been an integral part of Zansk-Gharrakan culture may indeed express a will for greater autonomy.
Bottom line, Mhoudia must be forced to come to the conclusion that it is a home of many peoples."

Inside the main building at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense, a television screen was turned on. Defense Minister Carl Blake stood at the head of a large oak meeting table. Within the room were other royal Cabinet advisors and the Chairman of the Monavian Foreign Relations Council.

"At the present time, a nation identified as Mhoudia has recently engaged in genocidal activities.", the news announcement stated. It continued: "Because of the international tensions that exist around Mhoudia, the ethnic cleansing of Christians has become an international source of tension and conflict. There is war or rumors of war, and now it appears that Mhoudia is becoming the focus of many nations. We will bring you more information later tonight."

The television set was turned off and the Defense Minister sat down at the head of the table. "At the present," he began, "many nations have taken great interest in the affair. As we are in no position to do anything, we must understand that we must stay out of this matter at the present time."

He continued to speak. "Many nations think of themselves as the world's policemen. They think that it is their job to boss around weaker governments or governemts that do not agree with their principles. Lafies and gentlemen, I suggest that we stay neutral in the issue."

Suddenly, a courier burst through the doorway of the meeting room. "What is it now?" the Defense Minister asked with much annoyance. "I just received word" the courier began, "that the Salisbrugic Dominion of Cotenshire has become involed in this matter!"

"THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING!" Robert Farrington yelled. "This could jeopardise the safety of our treaty!" he continued further, stipping short of breath.

"Draft a letter to King William V Salisbury at once" Mr. Blake roared, "and stablize the situation before it deteriorates further!" The courier then was dismissed from the room and the meeting continued as normal.

Within the day a letter was drafted, however, it would take four days to reach Cotenshire. The letter read:

The safety and well-being of the Monavian delegation is a high priority and of great concern to all Monavians here present. I ask that you not place in jeopardy the Monavian delegation. Despte any misgivings that may now exist, I place my personal confidence in you and your government that you will be able to safeguard the delegation and allow them to return home safely.

a) Meanwhile, our naval ship will bombard the city with cannonfire, if there is no naval resistance

2) Your forces (how many, by the way?) move in, destroying any remaining resistance

The SSS Hellfire, fully reloaded with food for the coming days from one of its trailing supply ships, continued to drone forward, acclerating to 45 nautical km/h. Pilots started making practice sorties, while the crew's alcohol ration was risen a full beer from 1612 hours today to 1612 hours tommorow. No one used it however, knowing the lives of many christians could be counting on them. Anticipation trembled through the ship as it cut through the seas.

Mhoud, Capital City of Mhoudia

As night rolled in so did the Droskian F-117 Night Hawk Stealth Bombers. Their mission was simple to begin eliminating the massive amounts of anti-air weaponry in the capital city in order to help establish Coalition Air Supporiority. The Droskian Fleet was sitting still aprox. 60 miles off the coast.

The Battle of Mhoud had begun...

the Zansk rockets rained down on the forests and mountains. trees were blazing, and the bases were completely destroyed, a death count of 60 has been totalled. However, in from Ville De Jayir, sixty thousand troops had massed to make an invasion before the Zansk did.

And Mhoudia began to empty its shells upon the Zansk nation, as its men tore down the border fence and went into groups to begin a guerilla incursion- Our favourite. Most soldiers are armed with just an AK 47 and first aid kit, but in guerilla warfare, this is all you need. There were also the 500 'traditional' ethnic Karazi (a tribal group) snipers, whose trademark was to climb trees to snipe.

MHOUD

as news of the incoming naval invasion came to light, Mhoudia came up with an absolutely fucking rediculous plan. Six hundred thousand soldiers would escort the population of Mhoud to easy-to-set-up refugee camps in the central areas of Mhoudia, just east of Zaynah.
Those that didn't would have to burn.
The plan could take just two hours... just enough time... and when the barrage begun, the soldiers would simply leave and go into regional groups.. leave the city to burn.
The government would take refuge in the Southwestern hills, which were protected mostly by government-funded Opium plantation owners and their armies (mostly soldiers too-and on duty)

Mhoudia, we need a map. We have no clue where to invade.

"Droskianishkian forces have already moved in?" said Captain Swift.

"Yes sir. Their F-117s were detected by our satellite system."

"Our air force is still out of range...****. What's the maximum distance from Mhoud we can launch?"

"No way." intervened the captain. "We'll just attack after. Two air strikes within a few days would hurt them drastically. Just speed up the ship to 55 kmh. If we attack soon after, they'll have no time to prepare and will be decimated."

The ship sped up to 55 nautical km/h, and the beer ration was cut off.

I agree that air-strikes by night against anti-aircraft weaponry and against still grounded and airbound planes is optimal, on the subject of naval bombardment it would be desirable to execute this during the day if you have spotters within/near the city in order to cut down on civilian casualties.

We have 2 numbered armies (216,000 soldiers), which we will begin to move in once we feel as though we have air-superiority.

Four Valkyrie-class helicopter carriers formed the backbone of the Hamilayan task force in the area, defended by four Meyers-class frigates, three Mansel Reese-class guided missile destroyers and one Pegasus-class cruiser, as well as numerous transport ships. No Marine assault element had been considered for the operation, so it was entirely up to the air assault troops or foreign forces to secure a landing zone for the two main Hamilayan divisions. It appeared that the bombing of Mhoudia had already begun, and civilians and troops appeared to be evacuating the city. For now, the force would watch and wait.

Task force is in the area preparing for landing on Mhoudia. Assault on Mhoud city is observed; can provide helicopter gunship and light naval support. Request more detailed sitrep and intelligence on Mhoudian defences.

400km from Mhoud, 1912 hours

"Finally...we're here. Launch the ships in scramble." Captain John Swift was eager. It was the first time the Shansekian aircraft and naval ships were tested in true warfare.

One by one, 35 SCRN-56 Phoenix fighters accelterated off the launch pad and waited for the others. Each was equipped with A1Z Lago missles, designed with a special warhead that was build in two layers. The outer layer exploded like a normal one, but the second layer would explode milliseconds later in a fiery rain of napalm.

After a few minutes, 15 SCKN-95 Celton bombers rocketed off. Each was loaded with 5 B4N Naplam bombs and .50 caliber machine guns at the back to defend its rear. 20 B8C bombs were loaded on each one as well, conventional bombs that exploded like normal.

The air strike group of 50 fighters and bombers streaked off towards their target at Mach .5, slowing down for the bombers. The SSS Hellfire fell back, waiting for the results.

To All Coalition/Peacekeeping Elements

The Droskian Bomber Squadron recently employed in the bombing of Mhoud has met little resistance. Once Naval Opposition is cleared it should be optimal to begin mounting amphibous assaults.

OOC: You're supposed to RP the actual bombing, you know...It's nice to know there's little resistance (you wiped out that, right? right?) Anyway, time for Mhoudia to decide the results of this:

The 50-aircraft squadron droned over the city of Mhoud. There, the group spilt up. Bombers split into 5 groups of 3, each group protected by 7 fighters. The pilots, already codenaming the groups, went off.

Group Alfalfa and Bunjee rained their combined payloads of 120 conventional bombs and 30 napalm bombs over essential supply and military centers, such as the port, the airport, shops, and the local military base.

Group Caterpillar rained 60 conventional bombs and 15 napalm bombs over all exits to the city, bombarding bridges, railroads, and roads.

Group Delta and Electro rained 120 conventional bombs and 30 napalm bombs over government buildings and precious landmarks, wiping out the areas such as the ruler's house, location obtained by searching the internet.

Fires burned through the city as 49 aircraft returned, one fighter having been shot down, mistaken as enemy.

(OOC: Well I was waiting for Mhoudia to defend the city, but all he said was that the bombardment had started he did not RP any defense... so I assumed that his men did not offer any resistance...)

The members of the path that had chartered private planes, and flown into the neighboring nations, stood near the boarder of Mhoudia. They're readied they're weapons, which ranged from M14's they had used during the Revolution, to antique bayonets they're great great grandfathers had used in some far off war. The had all dawned white robes, under which they had wore bullet proof vests, after they had been divided into groups, each of which was lead by a Parson, who then took orders from the bishops, who got they're orders from the Great Monastery, via satellite phone. After they got organized, the charged toward the boarder.

Mhoudia has abandoned the capital city and is beginning its guerilla tactics. The Transitional Council has been re-adopted as Ibrahim Mussawir has accepted he cannot launch a Guerilla war by himself- Mhoudia does not have one president anymore, not even nominally.

Clashes have occurred between Christian militia and Mhoudian soldiers just north of what was Yahyabad, and Mhoudia is preparing to order the destruction of all churches in the nation. The cross shape has become illegal now and is a crime for which Capital punishment is necessary.

Clashes have also occured between Soldiers and forced refugees from Mhoud, because the TCM has abandoned the city.

Two Droskian Airborne divisions (24,000 men) made the first Droskian landing within the country of Mhoudia, the divisions did not know what to expectand so landed close together and began to organize as quickly as possible..... (ooc:waiting for a Mhoudian response if there is any...)

The Mhoudian Transitional council has ordered the killing of 120,000 Christian adult males and the exile and permenant barring of 80,000 Christian Women and childrem, as they are suspected of being on the Side of the hostile neighbouring nation of Zanski, who is aiding seperatists in the Northern region of Jayir in the ongoing Mhoudian Civil War.

The civil war has broke out after the dictatorial Abdullah-al-Majid died, releasing pressure off from many groups, including Liberalists, seperatists and Islamists, the latter of which have a prominent hold in the southern rural areas. Al-Majid struck down all opposition, and in what is known as 'The Great Clearance' killed 100,000-250,000 civillians.

Mhoudia's Christian populace once numbered about four million in 1856 (48% of total population), but most of these were killed in the Wahabi Dar-al-Ummar movement, which also scared off the land's 600,000 Jews.

"Good," said Stark curtly. "Have your men prepare the flight decks. Our helicopters are going in to secure the docks. They'll signal us to bring in our transports when the all-clear is given."

"I know the plan. Aircraft will be in the air within an hour. Now, let's see." The Vice-Admiral checked his watch. "Operation Black Obelisk has commenced... at... oh-sixteen-twelve. Commander, enter that into the log, will you?"

"I'll go and supervise the takeoffs," interjected Stark.

"Good luck to you and your men."

Six minutes and ten seconds later, a flight consisting of twelve AH-23 Black Panther dedicated gunships, twenty MHX-20 Zenith attack transport helicopters and twenty UH-65 Rogue utility helicopters was in the air and heading towards the docks of Mhoud City.

As they came over the docks, the AH-23s immediately fanned out, flying along lines of city streets to watch for any enemy resistance and flying cover over the drop zones. Finding the situation satisfactory, the other helicopters either touched down or hovered over roofs, soldiers marching out or rappelling down, and moved to secure the area. The two companies now on the ground began preparing defensive positions and securing buildings.

The major in command, seeing the area deserted, radioed the all-clear signal to the naval task force offshore. The warships moved to ensure no torpedo boats or the like were lying in wait for the transports, while the transports themselves moved towards the docks to begin unloading their cargo of men and machinery.

It was a relatively common last ditch strategy that the FFS employed when fighting dug-in guerillas: after a week of fighting, if the location had not been secured, they put on their gasmasks, and chlorine gas was released in the area. Any fighters who didn't know about this was effectively doomed if they chose to keep fighting.
The things the fighters had failed to realize, of course, were in this order:
1). FFS soldiers, most being devoutly Catholic (the older, heretic-burning, kind) were pretty darn fanatical themselves. Any contest in terms of sheer determination and fanatacism would probably be a deadlock in this area.

The two airborne divisions (24,000 men) had made an organized and orderly non-combat jump into Mhoudia and had re-established contact with overall Droskian command. They had recieved orders to head southwards and to secure the town of Korsah, they had been told that the invasion of Mhoud would be left up to an amphibious joint assault made by the Hamilayians and the Droskian 200th and 220th Infantry Divisions (24,000 men).

They had their orders and they began the meticulous move southward hoping they would meet minimal resistance....

Looking out from his flagship, the Dreadnaught "Feuer", Feldmarschall Erwin von Ulm reflected briefly on the situation. They had been delayed for 4 days, long enough for the entire war in Mhoudia to be rendered completley different. For all they knew, it could be over. As he ran over the issues in his head, the ship's first mate came up to him with his report.

"Sir, we are at 25 knots currently, and should reach Mhoudia within 2 days."

"That trip would be made much faster if we had some bloody aircraft." muttered Erwin, "Albrecht, get me the Leiterdiplomat, tell him I need to make contact with Coalition Command, immediately."

"Yes sir, right away sir!"

Erwin hoped that his instincts, which had never failed him in his 25 years of command, would hold up to this war.

It was convenient that the Mhoudians were using aircraft - the nation wasn't particuarly big, and the interceptors with the attack jets easily picked up the hostile aircraft via reports from the AWACS birds.

"Alpha lead to command, permission to engage hostile air contacts," radioed the lead interceptor pilot.

"Affirmative lead, engage at will."

Given the order, the lead Flare banked hard, taking four squadrons of Flares with it. A full three squadrons stayed with the wing of attack jets as the forty-eight fighters tore off towards the enemy jets. Fire was coming from the ground - maybe they had made an attack run at a target, but either way, they were confirmed hostiles. Perfect targets for attack runs.

"Alpha lead, Fox 1."

An ERAAM - Extended Range Air-to-Air Missile - blew off the wing rail of the lead Flare, quickly followed by more missiles. All in all, each Flare, with fourteen hardpoints (all carrying AAMs) had four of the super-range, supersonic missiles ready to fire to engage. Targets were lit up by the AWACS craft as ninety-six ERAAMs - two from each Flare - shot from the formation of interceptors, blazing in to engage the enemy jets that had done...whatever had caused the fire burning on the ground. Either way, they had given away their position and now were going to pay for it.

The SSS Hellfire continued drifting towards the middle of the Mhoudian coast. Troop reinforcements were arriving there soon, and they would need extra help in securing a position to divide the country in two.

The crew of the SSS Hellfire looked in awe at the massive fleet they were sailing through. It was as if the captain was steering thourgh the moving fleet just for them to see what Shansekia could have when it grew. Massive Amazonian cannons, aircraft (OOC: Do you have them?), and anti-aircraft guns seemed to stare at their small guns.

The Shansekian destroyer finally left the fleet, continuing to cruise along at 50 km/h.

5th Shansekian Navy, Battle Group IV

The Battle Group, consisting of another Smetz-class destroyer of the same model as the Hellfire, 5 Cortez-class cruisers, and 6 Cailus-class submarines, crashed through the seas at 45 km/h. Mhoudia was not expected to have a large naval resistance, but the ships would be useful for naval bombardment. Also, they hid the amphibious landing ships perfectly in their shadows and large radar blips.

Sailing through the cold waters, the SSS Hellfire finally met up with Battle Group IV 16km east of what was one the UFAN strip's eastern coast. Merging, the Battle Group slowed down to 5 km/h and made a slow approach, making sure that their few motion-sensitive troops didn't get seasick in the tide. Every soldier was needed in the invasion.

The FSS Torreca traveled at top speed to meet up with Battlegroup IV. At the same time, fearing resistance in the now abandoned capital to coalition forces, the FSS Imperator moved to the coast of Mhoud and began a heavy bombardment with its 16" rifles. Entire blocks were reduced to rubble by shells. After a string of particularly vicious salvoes, the captain of the ship called a temporary break in the bombardment. Better wait for their allies to arrive.

ooc: good point. Here are some cities/towns:

Kahnag: located right across the border from Zanski, in the South-Easternmost corner
Pontrouge: On the end of the thin peninsula above the green band
Khorsah: On the southernmost bit
Crêteblanche: On the bay South of Pontrouge

The assault fighter wings, escorted by the remaining interceptors, were now proceeding towards the city of Janai on the northern peninsula. Satellite imagery and up-to-date frequencies were still showing hostile presence within the city limits, so now the Amazonian formation was prepared to give no quarter against the fanaticists. Armed with the latest weaponry in the Dominion air force, the assault fighters began banking down from ten thousand feet, swarming from the sky to began unleashing their payloads. Their interceptor escorts arced around, active radar searching for hostile aerial presences or ground SAM or Triple A.

"Omega force reaching target ranges. Omega lead, Rifle."

Two AGM-103 Tartarus anti-ground missiles spurt forth from the lead assault fighter, homing on towards the city. Two of the other squads had reached bombing positions as the first two squads continued firing a total of forty-eight AGMs at the city. The latter two dumped bomb payloads all over the city.

The Empire of Miamoria now also joins the forces against Mhoudia. This is an outrage and you should be digusted with yourself for even starting something so seriously disturbed. I don't care what your thoughts are you should never bring something so twisted, disturbing, wrong and not to mention contreversial onto nation states. We hope you take this post very seriously Mhoudia because this is a discussion that is way over any of our heads.

OOC: I am going on the assumption that coalition forces have at least been in communication insofar as knowing who's who in which area, to prevent accidents of them attacking one another. Also, I was merely specifying which one it was I was having the Imperator meet up with.

"What are we going to do?" said recently promoted Admiral John Swift. "We've haven't received word from Shansekian goverment or navy for days!" The admiral was pacing, obviously nervous.

"Shansekian Naval Code," said the radar ensign, "dictates we return to Shansekia. Problem is, we've also been ordered to stay here no matter what by the goverment..." Everyone else on the bridge nodded as well. It seemed they were now in quite a dilemna.

"Shansekia's Naval Code, though, dictates that in case of conflicting orders that come from similar ranks...we choose. I don't think we have enough supplies to last. The last supply ship came like 4 days ago?"

"Yes sir," said another ensign. "After that, we lost all communication."

"Looks like there's nothing we CAN do here without supplies. Ok then, I want us full about face and heading back to Shansekia at maximum cruise speed!"

"Yes sir!" shouted everyone, quickly returning to their positions. Within minutes, the Battlegroup was returning home.

"Their soldiers have families as well. Trust me, everything will be fine." Mark answered. He then picked up Michelle. "Now you be good will I'm gone, okay? Don't hurt the dog, okay?" Mark told her.

"I'll be good, daddy, I pawamise." She assured him. Mark then put her down opened the door, looked back, and said, "I love you," with tears streaming down his face. He then went outside and closed the door

"Rookie, huh? When did he finish his training?" George asked.

"Two days ago," Harry answered.

"Holy shit, that guy is about as fresh as you can be! Do will really need him?" George replied.

"Of course we need him, George." Jimmy replied, "We were all rookies once, just give him a chance."

The remaining survivors of Yayhabad and the Christian southwest of Mhoudia have grouped together twenty thousand men to help fight against the Mhoudian Transitional Council. The Coptic Church of Mhoudia has given the militia blessings, as this is percieved as the only way to survive in the face of the Genocide. The army, which the Army of Saint John have merged with, is called the Yahyabad Front for the Preservation of Christian Mhoudians (YFPCM).

The chief preists at the Cathedrals of Yahyabad and Gurzi, the two main Christian towns in Mhoudia, have agreed to not let arguments about how conservative the sect is run, get in the way of the resistance. The feud started in 1899 after a gay was given priesthood. The Yahyabad cathedral protected the action, but Gurzi cathedral denounced it. The feud nearly escalated into a full schism before the Mhoudians declared genocide.

the YFPCM requests arms to be dropped into Gurzi and also wishes to ally itself with the Crusaders.

It was convenient that the Mhoudians were using aircraft - the nation wasn't particuarly big, and the interceptors with the attack jets easily picked up the hostile aircraft via reports from the AWACS birds.

"Alpha lead to command, permission to engage hostile air contacts," radioed the lead interceptor pilot.

"Affirmative lead, engage at will."

Given the order, the lead Flare banked hard, taking four squadrons of Flares with it. A full three squadrons stayed with the wing of attack jets as the forty-eight fighters tore off towards the enemy jets. Fire was coming from the ground - maybe they had made an attack run at a target, but either way, they were confirmed hostiles. Perfect targets for attack runs.

"Alpha lead, Fox 1."

An ERAAM - Extended Range Air-to-Air Missile - blew off the wing rail of the lead Flare, quickly followed by more missiles. All in all, each Flare, with fourteen hardpoints (all carrying AAMs) had four of the super-range, supersonic missiles ready to fire to engage. Targets were lit up by the AWACS craft as ninety-six ERAAMs - two from each Flare - shot from the formation of interceptors, blazing in to engage the enemy jets that had done...whatever had caused the fire burning on the ground. Either way, they had given away their position and now were going to pay for it.

Either you somehow launched bombs from satellites or the more likely, which I responded to and took the initiative - your dropped them from aircraft. If you dropped the bombs from aircraft, than they're interceptable. Which is what is going on there.

Otherwise, you may want to review/revise your post attacking the civilians.

A force of four aircraft carriers, 18 destroyers (two of which were armed with rotary artillery) and eight frigates were one the move towards the rendevous point with Yanitarian forces.

I felt absolutely assualted and sickened when I heard of this horrific genocide on Christian civilization. After a unanimous vote in the M-R Imperial Council, I have officially declared a state of hostility and war on the the Imperial Socialist Union of Mhoudia. The treacherous, unholy infidels of this sinful land shall be punished for it's unfaithfulness and ignorants towards the values teachings of Jesus Christ. I will flood your cities and farms with 500,000 loyal Imperial Troops. And I never said that I would order my armies to not slaughter your people just to retain control of it and my brave fecund men will return home ever more delightful then ever after fulfilling such faithful service to God.

As a committed member of the Free Minds Alliance, the Federation of Visayan People was swift in its response to the South Lizsaurian appeal. the Federation 9th Fleet under Adm. Marshall Mangahas was steaming off the coast of Mhoudia. Their orders were to rendezvous with the Yanitarian carrier groups and the South Lizsauran Navy. The 9the Fleet had 3 carriers, 7 battleships, 12 destroyers, 9 cruisers, many more smaller craft and the 1st Marine Rapid Reaction Force, 20,000 man-strong with enough artillery and tank support for a regular armored division.

"This is Admiral Karamazov of the USSY to the South Lizsaurian Navy. We are approaching from the east. Visual in 15 minutes. I'll welcome you aboard my Dreadnought to plan the coming war."

Two Imperial Navy fleets were dispatched to the warzone. Each comprised of forty warships of varrying class, centred on four carriers and protecting several amphibious landing ships. They were to be supported by seventy five logistics vessels, either with the two forces or in a fleet train, protected from elements from a third fleet. The two vast forces would take time to reach Mhoudia, the twenty thousand marines on the ships would have to wait until unleashed.

His personal Nighthawk Helilcopter conveyed Adm. Mangahas to the Yanitarian flagship. After the customary salutes dictated by naval etiquette, he went down to business. "Well gentlemen, me and my boys stand ready. What do we have to do?"

Admiral Karamazov frowned. "Unfortunately, our ships must return home. Apparently there are rumblings of war, and with our best fleet deployed in war games, I have been asked to lead these two fleets back. I must apologize, and you have to believe me, if it were my decision, I would stay to support our allies."

The 6000 troops gathered East of Liasa at 12:00 am and were assembled into groups of fifty to begin a guerilla campaign into Northern Mhoudia. Plan:

*Lay siege to all villages and search all buildings, including Mosques and/or churches
*Fire safety leaflets into towns before invading
*Mark all searched buildings with tumeric (not found in mhoudia)
*shoot anyone that disobeys orders

At 1 am, 100 of the troops began to fire mortars while the rest infiltrated the border zone.
The border was secured an hour later, having only lost seven men.
The dawn came with Ville De Jayir in sight, but still 60 miles away.

Mangahas was left standing in the bridge of his flagship watching the Yanitarian fleet ail away. Well, this is awkward. He thought. he gave an order and in less than an hour, the Visayan NAvy was miles away from Mhoudia.

Once receiving the news of Karamazov the commander ordered the chinook and the escort to return to the South Lizasaurian fleet.

Commander Williams: How long until we make contact with the Visayan navy Lieutenant commander?

Lt. Commander: Sir approximately two hours sir.
