Capitalist Underground Expands in Partum

Partum, Arum Domus:

A business man from Yanitaria smiled, as he surveyed the factories from the airship. Five plants, employing hundreds or thousands of people. They would serve as a good distribution center.

The parking lots were modified to have to levels, the top would serve as a landing area for the airships. In a nearby field, giant poles were raise to moor the airships at.

The airship drifted towards the commercial district. Below, people pointed at the giant ship as it landed on the top floor of one of the tallest buildings. The business man exited the vehicle, and strolled to the conference room where he met with union leaders to discuss the future of the CU

Fat Jack Johnson had been boss of the Partum wing of Sceleratus for 15 years. Under his leadership, the gang had eliminated all competion in the city and had gained control of all the major labor unions. If the men speaking to him were correct, that could all change very soon.

"Are you sure your correct?"

"Yeah boss I'm sure, someone is trying to muscle in on our control of the labor unions, some of our guys saw airships coming in a few nights ago. Last time I checked, we didn't have airships in Aurum Domus."

"Okay Donny, heres what your going to do. I want you to find whoever the fuck is trying to take over my businesses and then I want you to bring them to me. I will take care of this matter personally, oh and Donny?"

"Yes, boss?"

"The only people I know that use airships are the AUM and the CU, I doubt the former, I talked to the man in the mountain and they got a partnership going with the Afegoans."

CU negotiators had taken control of a few unions related to their factories, but it soon became clear that there was definite competition.

CU thugs began arming themselves just in case.

Donny K and 3 of his best soldiers had been tailing these newcomers for several days. They had been within shooting range of them several times but that wasn't the plan. Finally, at around midnight on the 3rd day, they spotted one of the Yanitarians alone walking several blocks from the house that the men had observed the CU members entering and leaving. Two of the men got out of the car and approached the walking man swiftly and quietly. The two men withdrew their pistols from the inside of their jackets, one of them put their gun on the Yanitarian's head and the other placed his gun of his back directly behind his heart.

"Don't move you slimy Yanny or we'll blow your brains all over the sidewalk. Your coming with us."

Donny and his men grabbed the Yanitarian then bound and gagged him. The trunk was popped open and he was thrown inside. The car did a 360 then sped down the street. It arrived back to the club 10 minutes later where the boss was waiting.

"Ok, you slimy Yanny, you tell me what I want to know and I won't have to brutally murder you and send your head back to Yanitaria on dry ice. Understand?"

Regaining some composer, the Yanitarian answered snidely "Je ne parle pas avec chiens."

OOC: Given my bad French, he's either saying he doesn't speak with dogs, or he has a major hemroid that he needs Donny put cream on.

Either way, it's insulting.

"My name is Jack Johnson and I own this city. This should not concern you, all you should care about is how you are going to live the rest of your short life."

Jack pulled the trigger sending the .40 caliber slug through the Yanitarian's forehead and into his brain. Blood and pieces of flesh splashed against the wall and the floor. No one insulted Fat Jack to his face and lived.

"Donny, have your boys take the body to the slimeballs place. Tell them to set it on fire. That should make a statement. Oh and get one of the underlings in here to clean the floor and the wall."

"Yes, boss."

A van owned by the Capitalist Underground pulled up to the street in front of the night club. Other vans did the same. Each one under a lamp post.

Men quickly got out, tossed ropes over the lamp posts, and hoisted up their grisly message. The quickly departed before anyone could identify them.

Along the street, the bodies of 6 member's of Fat Jack's gang members hung on nooses. Their eyes had been removed, viscerally, and each had a knife in their chest.

There was a blood soaked note pined by the knives. All of them read "We are watching you."

OOC: Well this post turned otu pretty long, if its okay with you, can you RP your next post as having taken place after the revenge attacks?

Fat Jack was not a happy man. The entire Sixth Street crew was dead, including their Caput (Captain) Jimmy "The Butcher" Smith. The Sixth Street crew was the crew responsible for the labor unions and was also the top earning crew in the Partum wing of Sceleratus. Obviously the Yanitarians were making a statement with this bloody act. Fat Jack would make a bigger statement right back.

A shaken Donny K walked into Fat Jacks office the morning after the Sixth Street crew had been found dead. His younger brother had been a soldier in that crew, this affair was personal now.

"Okay boss, what do you want me to do? I want to make those muthafuckers pay for what they did to my brother."

Instead of Jack being there in person a video phone lay on the desk. Jacks face came into view and began speaking.

"Donny, they're watching the club. Thats why I'm not there. You need to quickly get out of there. The slimeballs don't know about the tunnel to the carpark down the block. Open the middle drawer on my desk, the keys to the black Mustang are in it. Grab them and get out."

Donny grabbed the keys and pulled his gun out from inside his leather jacket. He opened the secret door concealed behind the wood paneling and ran at a full sprint down the stairs and through the tunnel. He jumped in the Mustang and drove out of the car park. He went slow to avoid drawing attention to himself.

When he finally arrived to the safehouse, which was a small hotel in the suburbs of Partum, he ran in the door and met his boss who he was surprised to see was just one of many in what seemed like a gathering of every Partum Sceleratus.

"Glad you could be here Donny, great job showing up last. Okay boys heres the plan. At exactly midnight tonight one of you will launch a missile at the Yanitarians house. The Spiculum has already been stolen and is ready for use. Tommorow morning I want every crew to mobilise. Send out the death squads, any Yanitarian you find kill. That is all. Now Gentlemen, to war. I have never been defeated in my fifteen year reign and I don't expect to be defeated now by slimy Yanitarians."

Things were going bad for the Yanitarians.

25% of their lower level members, and 18% of their higher level members had been murdered. by then, an all members were alert, and had barricaded themselves at home.

Worse off, a missile had gone off in the Partum corporate offices. This meant war.

A groups of demolition specialists were dispatched, using military grade thermite and C-4 plastic explosives. Large cement trucks would be packed with explosives, and spare metal from the machines in the factories as shrapnel. The open parts at the back had a plate inserted, and welded shut, so that the trucks would look normal, but no one could access the inside

They would be driven near every club and factory known to be owned by Fat Jack, and the driver would hit a kill switch, ejecting the spark plugs. He would then get out, and calmly enter a waiting sedan.

The trucks would be synched to blow at the same time, exactly 10 minutes after they were scheduled to be delivered. Synchronization was the key. The drivers would wait a mile or two away, and have a private frequency. The were to use cryptic messages to announce that their trucks were ready, and that the kill switch had been thrown.

OOC: The recent bombings in Algiers used a similar method. The bombs will blow off the facades on every building in the neighborhood, and blow windows 1km away.

Also, since the CU is ultra secretly backed by the USSY, the C-4 isn't hard to acquire.

And no, I don't expect to hit every building, just the ones that can be found given an afternoon or two of searching.

When Fat Jack and a good portion of the other Sceleratus members had finished the revenge attacks they had retreated into the safety of the suburbs. One crew, the Forge Avenue crew to be specific, kept watch over Sceleratus businesses and made collections. The businesses weren't being overseen by the gangsters directly. The crew would visit each place every day to make sure things were running smoothly, this was supposed to go no for about a week until the all clear was given. Two days into this operation all hell broke loose.

Bombs had exploded in front of the Devils Playground Club and the Ten Thirty Club. Both buildings were devastated and 2 members of the Forge Avenue crew were killed along with countless civillians. The explosions broke windows all around the block and a slight tremor was felt by others on the street. At the same time truck bombs damaged the Crazy Clandonian Betting Shop and had destroyed the elaborate entrance to the Golden Desires Casino. Finally, two of the brick factories that had Sceleratus controlled unions were also damaged. The police had a field day and even the High General made a speech later in the day promising a crackdown on organized crime.

Fat Jack was extremely angry. The Yanitarian slime balls thought they could actually win a war against him in his own city. They were horribly wrong.

"Men, these slime balls have destroyed a good portion of our assets. Our business is going to die if we don't eliminate the invaders. As soon as we get a location on the Yanitarians we'll finish them off."

OOC: In your next post, mention some place the Yanitarians are currently in because I really don't know where to go from here.

For the moment, the Capitalist Underground went, well, underground.

The low level members had banded together, hiding on the biggest houses the owned among them, and barricaded themselves in.

The mid level and many low levels had taken over the top floors of the Corporate Office building, welding the roof access and the elevators closed. The only way in would be the fire escapes, which where heavily barricaded and guarded by men with assault rifles and a machine gun.

The highest level men had taken to the skys, in corporate airships, and waited off the coast until it was safe.

All in all, the Yanitarians had a reason to be scared, and they acted on it. Operations in Partum had ground to a halt.

"Okay men, we got some info. The Yanitarians airships all packed up and left out to sea. We only know this because Crusher Evit and his crew down in Uber Prodigium saw 'em floating over the docks during a weapons job. I'm hiring out some guys from there to do the job. We've already lost too many of our own. The man in the mountain managed to get hold of a shipment of Acer MANPADs coming out of Doomingsland. They'll be using those. For now, keep an eye on our remaining businesses, I want as many men as we can at each place. Donny, take care of that."

"Yes, boss."

Uber Prodigium Dockyards, Midnight

Three fishing boats filled with ten men each departed the docks. Each man was carrying an Acer MANPAD, the enemy of all low flying aircraft. The men were chatting to each other nervously about the forthcoming job.

"Y'know Jonny, if we do this right it could mean a big promotion for all of us. The Partum boys are in big trouble, bailing them out could mean big money for us."

"Eli, shut up about the money and concentrate."

At half past midnight each ship was in position. One missile was launched from each ship then they waited to see the damage.
Yanitaria

Yanitarian airships picked up multiple missile Launches about an hour after visually spotting the fishing boats.

Upon spotting the fishing boats, the airships took to their highest altitude, and readied their own missiles.

The Acer's were only confirmation that the fishing boats were owned by Fat Jack. The missiles climbed ever so close to the gondola's.... before they hit their ceiling and stalled out.

The CU fired their own missiles. Shooting downward, there was no need to worry about stalling the engines.

Their fired their full compliment of 8 missiles at the specific ship that targeted them.

OOC: The Acer only has a ceiling of 3800ft, while the most expensive airships Alfegos sells have a ceiling of 5000 ft. And the newest Alfegosian airship I've seen, theL class, has aceiling of ~6500ft (2000m)

Off the Coast

The Airships were caught totally unaware. Given their positions, the missile pods, the ships could only fire off half their compliment of missiles, four each.

The missiles strikes varied, 2 hitting the balloons, destroying the ballonettes, and causing them to slowly sink down.

The two other ships where hit in an engine and gondola, respectively. The first caused minor casualties, and the latter causing the gondola to break, killing most aboard.

The two ships hit in the balloon braced for impact, while the survivors of the other two grabbed their parachutes and guns.

The sky seemed to be on fire. Explosions could be heard all across the normally quiet night skies of Uber Prodigium. The, out of the cloud of fire four missiles came streaking towards the three ships. One was blown up outright from the impact of two missiles while another was damaged by another missile striking the bow. The fourth missile fell harmlessly into the sea several feet behind the third boat.

The damaged ship was rapidly capsizing and men began jumping off and swimming towards the one undamaged ship. Several minutes later the ship finally went under and the last surviving men tumbled onto the deck of the last ship. Fifteen men were dead, half the original team.

"Okay guys, we still got a job to do. Go below deck and grab a DR 89, kill any survivors that pop up in the next few minutes. We're gonna try to knock down that final ship, everyone hurry, the 5-0 will be swimming all over this place in a couple minutes."

The wet and freezing gangsters ran for their weapons. Two men on the deck of the ship hefted a MANPAD and aimed at the last airship in the sky. Hopefully it could be shot down though with the gangsters notoriously bad aim and lack of understanding of military weapons this was unlikely. The missile shot skyward and the men dropped the heavy launcher and ran to gather their assault rifles.

OOC: I couldn't tell if you fired missiles back at me. If you did I'll change my post.
Yanitaria

OOC: Yes, four missiles per ship. The Executive ships have four cell box launchers on either side, disguised as external fuel tanks when they aren't in use. That makes a total of 8, but since you snuck up on them, they could only fire one box.

The missile zoomed towards the airship, but before it could hit, the damaged engine, which had caught fire, jettisoned.

The missile, picking up on the larger IR target, smashed into it, raining fire on it.

The skeleton crew of the last airship descended, and all men still aboard brought their rifles to bear, and fired to suppress. The last four missiles were fired at it. Hopefully they would scare away the enemy, and grab their men before making a hasty getaway.

OOC: The police are not gonna like this.

The night was continuously filled with noise. First, the engine exploded and fire began raining down on the dockyards. Then the last missiles came screaming out of the sky over the heads of the Aurum Domans. Gunfire then punctuated the night as the gangsters running off the boat and into the dark streets of the city were fired upon by the Yanitarians. Three men fell but the rest fired back and continued to run. In the distance police sirens could be heard as the police came to investigate the explosions over the dockyards. If the Yanitarians didn't hurry the police would get to them. The Aurum Domans melted into the darkness of the city to wait for daybreak. This wasn't over yet.

The airship dropped a raft, and twenty or so men climbed aboard. They quickly winched it up, and dropped it again.

30 scrambled on to the raft, and the airship ascended even as they hung on. 5 men were left in the ocean, and one man fell off the raft as it was pulled up. He broke his neck while hitting another man in the water who promptly drowned.

As police arrived on the scene, they started firing at the balloon to little effect. The balloon limped to a rendezvous point, where the men were transfered to a fresh balloon, which brought them back to Yanitaria. The old balloon was scuttled, with an incendiary bomb in the hull.

The old man shook Jacks hand, and then took care of the banking. He enough money for two extra people, but since it was more than 4 million, he just subtracted the money Jack owed him.

"We are fair and square now." He nodded to the doctor outside, who got in the limo and drove away. "I hope you had a pleasant evening. I know that this'll probably be my last, since my poor health.

"Well, I am not sure if you're a religious man, Jack. I'm not, at any rate. But see you in the afterlife all the same. My boys should be out to sea by now."

He faced them squarely, and before anyone could react, he reached in his pocket and pressed the detonator. The explosives under his bandage blew up, killing the old man, and washers, coins, and steel BBs that had lined the bandage thickly started flying through the air.

(OOC: The CU betrayed you. The guy was actually mid level, and had cancer. The last few seconds seemed to have gone in slow motion. The old man pushed the detonator and Fat Jack was thrown into the wall. He was severely injured, Donny rushed in from outside and dragged his boss out of the wreckage. He called 911 then called the rest of the gang that hadn't been standing by around the corner.

"The Yannys betrayed us, the boss is badly hurt. Kill every Yanitarian you can find. The boys in Uber Prodigium have already been called."

As soon as the call came through the boys in UP sprang into action. They raced down to the docks and jumped in the boats clutching Acer MANPADS. They sped out to sea, not even worrying about Coast Guard patrols. As soon as they spotted the airships they fired. Twenty missiles had been fired in total and fi that wasn't enoguh then there was still another fifty in the hold. This was the end. Victory or death!

The ships all came down. Not a finger was lifted to stop the missiles.

In the wreckage, there were very few bodies, and everyone could tell something wasn't right.

Meanwhile, on a cargo ship going in the opposite direction, the entire unit of CU members, armed to the teeth with heavy weapons and missiles that they were ill trained to use. Most of the men were hidden below deck, but the guards were hiding in false containers that were slightly open.

OOC: Haha, the Yanitarians had a nice little trick up their sleeve, but there is only one more. If you manage to find the CU (which shouldn't be hard, I mean, they basically moved hundreds of people onto a cargo ship. I am sure someone noticed) they will be forced to fight.

And as for the last trick, it's not very obvious from the surface, but there are doors on the front of the ship, sort of like the floating hanger that the USS Sea Shadow is kept in.
