Aslan looked over the papers on his desk. Sitting there for his approval where 2 documents. One was a question of workers rights. Aslan knew that his country was made up of people who had fled their home country because of the lack of rights for the people under an oppressive government. He couldn't allow major corporations to become the new oppressive force and so legislated that the Automobile Manufacturing firms where to give a 20% raise over the next 2 years.
Next was a case of free speech. Apparently, Nazi sympathizers where planning a rally and Jewish sympathizers wanted to stop them. However, there was no question here. He held the freedom of speech to be very important and refused to legislate against it. He wrote as much in his response.
On other news, he looked over the progress of research. He received a letter from Jordantown Research and Development Center(JRDC) that they had made significant progress and that at this rate, they would reach a major break through in Clean Nuclear Power in just 3 more years! Also, research was getting under way on the secret project he had going, though it was projected to be decades before the research could truly be finished.
He was glad to hear things where going well. He poured more money into research and development then into any other single facet of his government.
So far things where going his way. this was good...
