The Binarian Navy annouced that it would build a series of submarine Pens on the ocean floor at a depth of 750 meters, just 50 meters above the crush depth for its newest Attack Submarines. The contract was awarded to the Binarian Marine Construction Corporation twelve years ago for a sum of 750 billion USD per pen. The twenith and final pen was completed and outfitted last month after a year and a half in consturction. It is expected to be put in to service and have subs dock there within weeks.

indentEach pen can dock up to 10 Halcyon Class Attack Submarines at a time and resupply them with out the need for surfacing and preventing enemy spy satilites from seeing how many are deployed at a time. Each Sub enters an airlock which is half drain and the sub is towed into the docking area. Each Air lock and Dock section is placed in decagon pattern and is connected to a central oradance storage room that has enough weaponry and rations to keep ten subs supplied for over a year.

indentThere are five pens in the Baltic Sea and five in the North Sea, protecting the vital Binarian Straits that allows passage of the Binarian Navy in and out of the Baltic sea, and for its merchant ships to have access to safe waters. They also allow for a quick response in the event that the Binarian surface fleet in either crippled or destroyed by forgiegn powers.

Official Message from the Dutch Kingdom to the Binarian Navy

We formally request that Dutch submarines be allowed dockage for periods less than a month at the pens located in the North Sea. The Dutch Government shall reimburse the Binarian Navy for any supplies used.

OOC:True, But I'm guessing BInaria intends this to be SIC.

SIC:Oily Prata requests that the Binarian government accept our request to allow our submarines to dock at the new undersea pens in times of emergency.

OOC: The locations are secret, not thier existance. Simmilar to the deployment of subs in RL. This also serves as a refernce thread so people don't think i'm pulling the bases out of my ass. SO noone has any objections to this? What if I stationed Nuclear equiped Ballistic missile subs at some of them?

We must deny your requests as that would give the locations of our Subpens away, andwe cannot do that as we are considering basing our BAllistic Missile Submarines in them aswell, compromising our second strike ability.

OOC: So what are the particulars of the sub base? Is it built into the sea floor, or does it stick out?

OOC: it is built into the sea floor. The top of it is covered with rocks and sand to ake it look like an ocean feature. The Airlocks are arranged so that they look like they're parts of the sea floor.( fake rocks attached to the outerdoors, ect.) you'll have to wait for a sub ask for docking permission and a homing becon to be activated, each becon's signal is unique to the airlock.

OOC: what kind of signal. most signals don't generally like water, so you might have to get really close, like, 100ft to be able to receive a signal.
