December 15th, 2007, Faxanavian Election Day. 1800 hours. Vallingard, North Faxanavia, Faxanavia

The excitement was palpable at the headquarters of the Faxanavian Republic party. Jubilation was in the air, as the Republic party was just two seats away from taking the lead in the Faxanavian Senate, and the seat of Prime Minister with it. Suddenly, a roar went up. The 49th seat had been taken. The Republicists now held the Faxanavian senate majority, a place held for almost two years by Bochick and his Liberal party. But now, the Republicists danced and sang, champagne corks popping into the air as people applauded the new Pime Minister, and leader of the Republic party: Hephaestus Blackforge.

December 16th, 2007. 600 hours. Vallingard, North Faxanavia, Faxanavia

Hephaestus was a tall, rough shaven man with short black hair and a scraggly face like that of a racoon's. His eyes, large and grey, looked out across the crowds of people massed in the tiny square. These were his supporters, and the journalists, waiting to hear his acceptance speech. The old Prime Minister, Ivansky Bochick, had made his own speech just a few minutes ago. He looked out across the gathering crowds, coughed lightly into the microphone, and with a voice like steel spoke. "Thankyou, ladies and gentleman. Thankyou honored officials, firends and foes alike. Thankyou all for this greatest of honors, which was only possible thanks to you." He took a sip of water from the glass on the podium. "I stand here today to tell you of change. In all times, people must change to embrace the world. The nation of Faxanavia stands on a new dawn, and we must go into it fully embracing all change. For this very reason, and after much thinking..." He halted, partially for dramatic effect, and partially to once again sip from the water. "I have made the descision that as of this morning, at 0600 hours, the government of the Terracratic Union of Faxanavia is officially dissolved."
Somewhere, someone screamed.

As of this morning, at 0600 hours, the government of the Terracratic Union of Faxanavia has been dissolved. A new consitution, the eigth in Faxanavian history, has been drafted. Under this constitution, the government will consist of the following.

-The Executive Branch: High leader, Commander in Chief of the armed forces, and lord of Faxanavia. Position held by the current Imperator. Holds power to control any and all laws, may pass any and all laws as is seen fit, may declare any war as seen fit by the Executive office. Position held for life.

-The Congressional Branch: The 160 seat Senate. Represents the people. May overturn any descision by the Imperator only through 100% agreed vote. May present to the Imperator any and all laws drafted by the people. Imperator may overturn the Senate as he sees fit.

Faxanavia, newly renamed the The Grand Imperial Federation of Faxanavia, wishes to make the world aware that this shift in power is most assuredly for the betterment of the people.

Erikk Svalbard, the president of Logan and Ky, sat in his office contemplating many things. The near collapse of the Kroandan government, the supposed invention of a supercomputer which could accurately simulate wars, the rebel troops still occupying several of their towns, etc. The last thing he needed was something else to worry about, but its what he was given. His secretary walked into the room.

"Sir, we have reports coming in that Faxanavia's government is now officially void, how should we act?"

"Wait a second, why is this occuring? What's caused this?"

"We're not sure sir, apparently the prime minister just spontaneously decided to dissolve the government."

"This doesnt feel right... i'll wait for more news of the event before I decide what course of action to take, you are dismissed"

"yes sir"

The newly renamed Imperators office was a grand one. The vast mahogany desk, so beloved by Prime Minister Bochick, had been replaced by one of solid granite and obsidian. Things were happening fast in Faxanavia. Just the way the Imperator liked them.
Hephaestus smiled, putting his feet up on the carved stone desk. This plan, to establish a new order, was going quite swimmingly. It had all begun those many months ago, in a bar in New Prudence...

The lights outside had lit the steamy window of the pub with a warm, golden light. Hephaestus and several friends were all quite drunk when it happened. He had been staring at the little TV screen, in a quiet, alcohol induced reverie. On the tiny box, pictures of Faxanavian armed forces movements appeared. The war in Lucus Maximus. Some old photos of the Alfegos civil war. He had thought, idly, that with all that military might, Faxanavia could be much greater than it was. Such a nation was destined from greater things. But that fool, Bochick, would have none of it. He did not believe in the ways of imperialism. Suddenly, he was struck by a thunderbolt of a thought. In only the way a drunk man could reason, he thought, "Well why couldn't I do it?" The idea rushed through him, re-energizing his body. He could do it. Rebuild his nation. Make it more powerful then ever before!

The Imperator smiled, remembering the many months thinking, plotting, and planning. And they'd all led to right now. Soon, everything would be going his way...

So that security is not too much of an issue, we were thinking of meeting aboard the Presidential Air Yauht. It will be at 10:00pm stationed about 120 miles off of your coastline. We reccomend that you fly in by helicopter, to save any problems with boarding.
