Live From Jhualm: Execution of Lorotheon Hostages

EXECUTION OF WESTERN HOSTAGES
We are told that it has been confirmed. The Western hostages are being executed by their nation. The first among those to be executed are fifteen civilians, three being journalists, originating from Lorotheon. The hostilities between these two nations have recently escalated. Unheeding of the current government in the region, Khalique, who had threatened the execution of Western hostages if hostilies continued in the country, have issued this statement:
"Those who dare oppose us will suffer in the knowledge that is their fault that these innocent souls must tread the path of Hell. For they do not follow the Divine Path, and for that they are branded Infidels, dirty in the eyes of the Blessed Allah! Understand this to all others who seek to take our land from us: Your greed for our oil will be your downfall. More of your citizens will die if you do not withdraw your soldiers and abort your plans to conquer our people. Leave now, or the Warriors of Islam will bring forth a mighty storm upon you which will blow your armies back into the sea from whence they crawl out of!"
Shortly after this address, the Lorotheon prisoners were beheaded in the public square in the capital city of Jhualm. Thousands of onlookers had come to watch the spectacle, and news cameras filmed the event internationally. Reaction to this event has yet to be identified by other countries. More on this as it develops.

The members of the High Council watched in silence as the video played. King Lerin looked angry. The Minister of State looked annoyed, General Korman looked aggravated, and Director Jeliss, from intelligence, looked bored, having already seen the movie about 5 times. Though, knowing Jeliss, he was probably bored through all of them.
As the last prisoner collapsed in a bloody heap, the aide switched off the screen.
King Lerin arched his fingers as he stared out the large window at the feet of the table.
"Well?"
Director Jeliss smiled a perfectly white, shinning, smile. "Your Majesty, three of those men were members of LNN, the News Network, who flew in against company orders to film the crisis"
There was a grunt from the king
"The other 12 were citizens of one form or another, 5 who moved there, 4 on vacation or passing through, 2 working with Oil International, and one working with my agency as a private contractor. They were rounded up in the last 48 hours, beated, the female ones probably raped, and then decapitated." His smile turned into a grin. "Funny what revolutionaries do, eh?"
The king gave him an angry look. "My people are dead, Jeliss. MY people. How long have we been a free country? A year! And already some foreign power wants to kill MY PEOPLE."
The Minister of State looked up "Well, your majesty, we did provoke them"
The king waved his hand dismissively. "They were already rounded up before our teams went in. These bastards would have killed them anyway." He turned
"General, when will our troops be ready?"
General Korman opened his large important looking folder. "Well, your majesty, all our infantry battalions are being shipped over as we speak, but it will take us a week to move in our tanks and APCs, not to mention supply trucks, artillery, SPAA...and all the logistics that goes with it"
"What about some tactical missile strike?"
"We don't have anything close enough, and if we did, all we'll hit are civilians" The General pointed at an important looking map. "It will take a day before our submarines are off the coast"
The king clenched his fist in helpless rage.
"Very well. We wait."

REP OF TURKA-SIR
Mister Jerashaw,
It is with great displeasure and dismay that I note your recent antics in your country; perhaps not so much because of the violence with which your group displaced the former Turkan régime as your treatment of foreigners and, indeed, your own citizens for which you are responsible. It would behoove you, I think, to act a little less irrationally and more sensibly, if only out of a sense of self-preservation. Already, I hear the gears of war turning inexorably toward a final solution to your country, which will eliminate both innocent and guilty therein. Do not count on the sympathy of foreigners; when you anger the civilized world, you are destroyed with impunity. Do not blithely stroll down the broad path of destruction which led to the Londonian or Kahanistani disgraces. It is quite evident what happened to them; their blood-soaked and eviscerated homelands still bear the foul stench of warfare, a good percentage of which was nuclear.
Take heed of my warning and tread lightly henceforth; if you make it clear that violence is your language, then there are others who will speak it to you, and will be fluent in that dialect—far, far more fluent than you.
Sincerely,

ViZion is ordering an emergency meeting with President Tanner Kilo on how to deal with this recent, atroucious action taken by the government of Turka-Sir.
Message to Turka-Sir
Should you continue upon the path you are taking, we will be forced to act upon the safety of innocent civilians. We will be preparing to send transport ships to your coast to prepare to export any civilians in which you may be eying for execution or other such actions. We wish it to be known publically, that we will also take military action without any additional warning and without question should any ViZionarian or allied civilian be so much as looked at by your government.
Thank you,
President Tanner Kilo

As expected of the growingly irrational government body in Turka-Sir, the military has been drawn up from parts of the coastal villages and are standing by for any foreign contact. Trade is now at a stand-still, as all ports have been closed off to all vessels. Local airports have been shut down. It seems that the country is going under lockdown. Nobody can get in or out.
In response to ViZion's message to Dictator Halim Jerashaw conerning the remaining hostages in the region, the dictator had this to say to reporters:
"Idle threats do not waver our spirit. We are preparing for any threat you would dare pose against us. Regarding the hostages, I only have this to say. Keep your distance from our lands, and your people shall be taken well care of. So long as you stay within your own borders, none shall be harmed, and some may even be released. Do know that we hold two of your journalists in custody at this time. If you care at all for their safety, I would suggest you remove any thoughts of hostility from your mind. The same message goes to the other nations who harbour ill thoughts towards us. When all conflicts have been settled, you may have your civilians back unharmed and healthy. At this time, however, for self-preservation, we are determined to hold as many hostages as it takes to prevent any further attacks on our soil."
Dictator Jerashaw has since gone underground. No word from him has been given since the last address. Taking over publicly is his political advisor and brother, Pharfer Jerashaw. He had this to say after his elder brother's interview:
"No more violence, no more civilian deaths. Plain and simple. Keep your distance, and no harm shall come to any citizens. You continue the violence, and we shall continue their deaths. I do hope we all understand eachother."

Shit flies both way. Meaning, should you harm any more civilians - from any nation - we will act as required. As per our journalists, we will be picking them up via an unarmed helicopter in seven hours in your capital of Jhualm. Should any harm come of our two civilians, or that of our unarmed helicopter and four civilians in it, and there will be hell to pay.
We will also make the demand of all civilians of nations other than your own be released if they are in any sort of holding. Should that demand not be met, and we are asked to assist in freeing them by their home country, we will do so. Do not put us in that position, as we would much rather not engage in hostilities - but will if required.

OOC: Communist or authoritan? :headbang:
As events unravled and the government of Turka-Sir approached pure insanity, Shansekia sent out two letters:
From the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
To Turka-Sir's Government:
You country has been blighted with evil, and is a disgrace to fellow communist/authoritist countries such as ourselves. You have become the perfect stereotype of communism/authoritanism, killing innocents. Continue on this path, and you WILL be crushed by me and many others.
Waiting for your decision,
Minister Thomas Diggly of Foreign Affairs, Shansekia
From the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
To ViZion:
The evils of Turka-Sir are profound. We request that you do not take this as an example of all communist/authoritan countries. We wish you best of luck in retrieving your reporters and civilians.
Best of luck,
Minister Thomas Diggly of Foreign Affairs, Shansekia
As the letters reached the nations (In Turka-Sir's case, e-mailed), Shansekia moved all excess troops not in peace and war operations into standby mode. Armed helicopters prepared to move masses of troops to the country of Turka-Sir. War was brewing...

Thomas Diggly,
We have any allies and friends of both communists and dictatorships. We know not all are like this, and while we do not run our own nation like this, those that run their nations correctly do extremely well for themselves, and are respected members of the international community.
It is when nations such as this one, Turka-Sir, that causes such problems that they become subject to desolation by many, including ourselves. While we would much rather settle this peacefully and without harm, we will act with force if it comes to that point.

Infuriated by President Kilo's response, orders were publicly given to shoot down any incoming aircraft approaching Turka-Sir's borders. These orders were met with some skepticism from military advisors, but the Dictator's brother eventually overuled any arguments made against his orders.
In other news, suicide bombings have begun to occur in major settlements within The Republic of Zackaroth as a result of their decision to act as a staging area for possible future attacks. Turka-Sir's government denies any affiliation with the terrorist groups, but applaudes their efforts in bringing with them a warning to their close neighbor.
In Zackaroth
Inhaling and exhaling, the man behind the wheel of the small rented convertible drove through the central streets of his designated district. Around him, civilians walked around, unaware of the dangers they would face in mere moments. Others like himself were around the country, getting ready to ascend into paradise for killing the traitors to their people. Sent by Halim Jerashaw, the nameless man in the car, along with two others currently in the country, were on a mission of faith. In the fires of destruction would be found everlasting peace and paradise. That was the promise given to them by their imam. The nameless Turka-Sirian, indestinguishable in the ocean of other cars in the street, exhaled again. It was time. His target was in sight. An outdoor cafe, catering to many Western tourists, enjoying the sunny weather.
The man parked on the side of the road, a mere few feet from the cafe. His look became cold, sweat trickling down the back of his neck. Every sense became heightened. He could feel his hot breathe leaving his mouth, he could hear the barbaric babble of the Westerners' conversation, he could see the particles of dust floating in the air from nearby cars. But most of all, he could feel the pack of explosives hidden under his robes, connected to a detonator in his sleeve which connected to his palm. Another breathe, another second ticked by. The nameless man looked down at the car's clock. One minute to go....
He looked to the side and watched a couple get up from their table to pay the bill inside. Damn, another pair of Westerners lost to his cleansing flame. Closing his eyes, he leaned back in his seat to get as comfortable as possible during his last few moments of life. Thirty seconds....
A truck honked at traffice to get it moving near the traffic lights up ahead. Fifteen seconds....
A short prayer was given, moving quickly past the man's lips as the seconds drew to its final climax "There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is His Messenger..."
Both his eyes and his thumb squeeze. The car erupts into a giant fireball which stretched for fifty yards. The shcokwave destroyed windows and bent street signs. The man didn't care, however. Nobody cared when they were in paradise...
Back to the News
Major highways running through Turka-Sir have begun to have military checkpoints form. An inident involving a father of six resulted in the family being shot when they refused to stop for soldiers to check their car.
The crumbling economy within Turka-Sir continues its steady decline, and more and more people are starting to doubt how much longer the country can survive for. Still able to pay for the military, at least for the moment, the question remains: When will this standoff end?

At 11:05 pm, Mr. Hightower received a call...
"Who is it?" Mr. Hightower asked.
"A new client." said the raspy, masked voice.
"I see. What's the job?"
"You have sleeper cells in Turka-Sir, correct?"
"Yes, Mister."
"Very good. We require you to activate them, and plant fear into the public that their government will destroy them. False reports of the government threating powerful countries and "leaks" of the imported_ViZion letters would be convient."
"So this is the good 'ol work around tactic? Having the nation destroy its own government?"
"Precisely. We don't have the army to do much but hold them off our own territory. If they kill their citizens, they will have no one to tax or work."
"I see. Well, transfer a million dollars into my account, which you should know, and we'll get started. This should be easy enough."
"If you get traced, do NOT report us. And erase all records of this call."
"My specialty." Mr. Hightower hung up, and prepared to activate his sleeper cells.

In fact Dyelli Beybi was already in the process of sending troops overseas, an undertaking which involved a large portion of the Navy. It was a fairly small task to divert the fleet to Turka-Sir. Onboard were 10 Dyellian Divisions, collectively known as the 'Sheffield Cuirassiers' numbering 305,000 troops. The fleet was made up of a mixture of surface vessels and dirgibles.
When within range of the Turka-Sir Coast it would halt and radio in it's position, seeking permission to begin offloading troops.

General Hashwa, looking through binoculars at the large fleet assembled a few miles from the shoreline, nodded to his radio operator in the warehouse on the docks of the harbour. The people had begun to lose hope that their nation was lost in a sea of enemies. Like sheep amongst wolves, everyone had feared the worst. That was until the noble people of Dyelli Beybi came to their rescue. The amount of troops and equipment they offered was staggering. Their mere 120,000 soldiers (not counting militia forces) would have been bulled over at the combined strength of the other hostile nations.
"Dyelli Beybi fleet, you have permission to unload troops and cargo into the harbour. Dock six and seven are being cleared for your arrival, more will be cleared for your convienence, over."

As the ground crews rushed to unload the planes, Lorotheon Rangers and Special Forces busily loaded their gear into waiting MH-12 helicopters, in preparation for upcoming missions. Nearby, on what used to be a dirt road, F/A 28 fighter bombers (OOC: Think a slower but tougher F-16) taxied into takeoff positions.
General Yeros stared out his makeshift office's window at the airfield, as his infantry loaded into borrowed civilian trucks to drive out to drill ranges. Soon, it would begin.

Once again, the two ViZionarian journalists and four unarmed ViZionarian civilians on the helicopters are not to be harmed. Pharfer Jerashaw,
The only way we can sign a neutrality treaty is if, in this treaty, you sign to agree not to harm innocent civilians, as well as to export all foreign civilians.
Should that not be agreed upon, we simply cannot agree upon such a treaty. This treaty, might I add, may allow us to defend you against unwarranted and illegal imperialist aggression from foreign powers.
We have no problem with your religious and beliefs. What we have a problem with is your unwarranted, illegal actions against innocent civilians - which is, without a doubt, a declaration of war upon said nation. This also will cause reason for fear and anger across the globe - as you are seeing.
Agree to export all foreign civilians, cease the execution and torture of innocent civilians, and pay $1 million to each family of those you have killed in the past, and we shall sign said treaty. And once again, we may come to your defense should illegal and unwarranted aggression come to your border.
We would far prefer a peaceful resolution, as we do not wish war upon your nation. However, war will be bring if you continue your illegal actions. Please note, half an hour and our unarmed civilian helicopter with be coming into your airspace.

The brother of the hidden Dictator sighed as he read the message returned to him. Unreasonable. Absolutely unreasonable. They expected them to give up their tactical advantage, and then bury themselves further into debt with these reperations? Simple unacceptable.
Pharfer turned to the Sergeant Major standing at attention inside his office.
"Alert the firing squads. Tell them to stand down." The SM nodded and turned to leave "....Wait." The officer turned back to him.
Pharfer sighed deeply "Call the officers that committed the last executions. Tell them that more heads need to be removed."
So it was war.

The Dyellian Fleet was a true monstrosity. There were 1,620 dirigibles of varied sizes along with 135 ships. There appeared to be 80 armed surface vessels, ranging from cruisers to destroyers to small escorts. Some of the dirigibles appeared to carry armaments as well, although it was impossible to tell how many without physically sailing close and examining them, although upon landfall it became clear most were infantry tansports which dipped to hover just over ground level in areas of exposed ground and discharge their human cargo.
The Dyellians had come equipped for the sand, which was hardly suprising considering their homeland was mostly desert. The uniform was a dusty sand colour, with extremely heavy armour over the chest, shoulders and arms for the infantry. The helmet resembled nothing more than a Roman Gallic-G in Kevlar, with cheek guards that tied under the chin and a heavy bar across the forhead which contained electronic equipment. It also seemed to feature a drop down visor which acted as both sun glasses and a HUD. It seemed very high-tech, but had only been issued to the infantry again. Tank crews, truck drivers, medics, engineers, pilots and the like had to make do with simple painted cast titanium helmets.
Unusually, every single soldier was wearing something that looked a lot like a Tagelmust, but in a dark russet brown, meaning that all that was visible of the Dyellians were their eyes and the top of their noses. From the chatter among them there appeared to be quite a few women serving under arms, although with the heavy uniforms and head gear it was impossible to tell anyone's gender.
The leader of the Force was a Lieutenant-General Dawlish, only really notable for his rank insignia of a crown over a crossed sword and baton who immediately started inquiries as to who he should be reporting to.

The fleet you have located is under orders to disembark troops then depart Turka-Sir waters immediately. The participation of allied destroyers would of course be useful, however, we have not been informed by Turka-Sir of your intentions. Pending such information we must deny any such third party involvement.
On top of this we do not believe third party coordination of logistical efforts to be beneficial to the smooth running of the Army. We have at the moment 163,000 troops assigned to the
Turka-Sir theatre in logistican roles and would be loathe to place these people under the direct command of any other than the relevant Dyellian Major Generals.

While we understand that many people view the Turka-Sir government as somewhat over the top, it is nevertheless within the rights of a State to exert their authority and carry out punishment for crimes committed within the State. It is also the right of the State to create such laws as they see fit.
Dyelli Beybi believes that rather than targeting Turka-Sir for military intervention it is better to open dialogue and deal with the economic and social problems gripping that Nation. We believe it is inherrantly wrong for Western ideologies to be forced upon a Nation with a significantly different cultural background. Is Thomas Diggly confused?
Shocking many, including Shansekia's government, was this public letter to Dyelli Beybi:
From the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
To Dyelli Beybi's Government:
We have noticed the movement of a large amount of troops in Turka-Sir waters from you, and would like to aide you. If allowed, a few of our cruisers will add to your logistics chain, which must be massive. We also have a few bored generals who could take care of logistics for you so your military can concentrate on strategy and possible war.
Hoping this ends peacefully,
Minister Thomas Diggly of Foreign Affairs, Shansekia
This is a direct contradiction to previous Shansekia statements! Is something brewing in the offices of the government? Have they gone mad?
It is reported that Minister Diggly is currently hospitalized from severe head injury. Strangely, the embelem of Shansekia imprinted on his wall was found on his head...what do you think?
First Referendum
The government of Shansekia is currently holding referendums to the citizens of Shansekia, the first of its kind, to decide who will hold multiple minister seats. Though not a direct "election", the majority choice will influence the Supreme Overlord's desicision Coming after Diggly's mistake, this is probably a coverup. The Minister of Interior Affairs, Wendel Makam, says differently, in quote:
"Referendums have been planned for months. It's merely a coincedence that the Diggly incident occured a day before the referendum was announced."
Will the new Board of Ministers support Turka-sir? It's a high possibility, says politcal analyst John Cradely, in quote:
"Currently, the citizens of Shansekia seem believe in a more cruel, political freedom-less country that exercises it powers completely. They're reflecting this in their support for Turka-sir, and will probably do so in the referendum."
This is true, as a poll recently taken shows about 62% of the population supports Turka-sir's recent acts.
Well, nothing can be for sure until election time. Sorry, referendum time.

Prime Minister,
While we agree for the most part, when dialog fails and ones innocent civilians are killed, there must be a boundary. Our own two civilians, including a high school student, are being held with the possibility of being murdered. For what? For being ViZionarian.
They have already murdered others, and where will it stop? We are attempting to talk sense into their government, and would prefer peace. However, if they refuse to cease killing other nations civilians, there is no sane ideology - Western or not - that would stand for that.
ViZion has seen far to many of our own civilians killed for being nothing but innocent. ViZion will not allow this to happen again to our civilians, nor will be allow it for others to happen.
If you wish to settle this peacefully still, then help us do so. Otherwise, military action will be required to cease this monster from murdering more and more innocent civilians from countries outside their own.

OOC: Yes. Both civilians have been beheaded, and their bodies have been sent back to their respectful country
IC:
Politcal Advisor Pharfer Jerashaw made his way calmly to the hustle and bustle of the unloading process. The sheer military strength shown before him was quite impressive. This was more than his brother had dreamed of. The governmnt had expected ragged bands of jihadi to come to their cause. Instead, much to their great joy, a highly skilled, technologically advanced army had come to their aide, with more coming if rumours were true. Pharfer looked over his shoulder to the trailing Honour Guard of exactly one hundred Royal Guards. A grin grew on his features. There was no way now that anyone could hope to stop them. The aide of Dyelli military was enough to secure their borders from any and all attacks. If they had the additional support from Shansekia, then perhaps their dream of driving out Western Imperialism from their lands would be realized.
Pharfer sent one of his Honour Guards to the docks to let the operations leader know that they had someone to meet with. The meeting would occur in the giant warehouse a couple of hundred yards away from the busy docks. The Political Advisor wore a faded brown flak jacket with empty straps that had once held old grenades taken by scavengers from other nations' wars. He entered the warehouse with his Honour Guard waiting outside. The inside of the building was bare, save for a table, two chairs, and a platter with a jug of water and a few glasses. Pharfer took off his scarlet beret and rubbed his balding head in the harsh heat. It was a good thing they were meeting in the building, anywhere else would have been unbearable in the dry afternoon sun. His dark aviators remained on his face as he took a seat at the table, wating for his message to arrive to Lieutenant-General Dawlish.

Prime Minister, it is not us who wishes to fine. Rather, they have beheaded two of our own civilians now, and one of them is a high school student. Now, if you are not willing to assist us in a diplomatic matter to end such events, then we ask you to step aside.
Clearly, your civilians have not been harmed by them. After all, as you yourself stated, Were Dyellian citizens to have been similarly treated we would respond with full force against the regime perpetrating the crime. Now, once again, since they are refuses to have a level head, and have turned down such offers that we have made, there are only two choices to be made: Either assist us in ending this peacefully, or step aside by not defending a so-called 'government' that goes around killing innocent civilians from other countries and thinks they can get away with it. They think they can get away with it, and that must be stopped.
Remember, two choices: Help us end this diplomatically, or we will use force to end it - as they have now beheaded two of our own civilians, including a high school student. He was only 17, and has family at home grieving their loss - along with an entire nation. We are using a level head far beyond what we should. But since you have asked to use diplomacy, we will try one more time if you will help us.

What are you looking for? A puppet state from them? Land? Money? What? We would be quite happy to just have their current government officials and top military officials handed over to us by you, and you are free to do what you wish with their post-government nation - install a government of your choice, or similar.
What are you looking to accomplish? To gain? Clearly, you have nothing to gain simply by defending a government like that. So, what are you looking to get between the pages? What is on your agenda for defending them?

I cannot expect you to understand the reasons why we ae moving to support the Turka-Sir regime, however I will attempt to provide a suitable explanation. The actions of the regime are in our view the result of the cultural dominance of 'Western' cultures, the feeling that the Western culture is associated with unquestionable moral authority.
It is this same belief in the unquestionable authority of the West that has driven your regime, knowingly or not towards a military standoff with the regime in Turka-Sir. Turka-Sir is committing acts which are abhorent, however the desire to overthrow the existing regime is not only abhorent but illegal under International Law.
While we sympathise with your loss, this is a clash of cultures and Dyelli Beybi feels a greater kindred with those of the 'Middle-East' than with the 'Western' cultures. Dyelli Beybi still hopes for a peaceful resoltion to this conflict, but is able to accept the posibility of this not becoming a fact.

Meanwhile at the docks the Dyellians were lining up hundreds of artillery pieces. It was organised chaos, troopers with check lists were dashing about trying to figure out which pieces of machinery belonged to their unit. There were tanks also, AA vehicles, trucks, diggers, ambulances and all the machinery of a modern army. The tanks were odd, low body with tiny remote turrets to further reduce profile.
Dawlish arrived at the warehouse some time later, followed by an infantryman in the high tech helmet. He had allowed his facial covering to fall open to reveal a wiry man in perhaps his early 50s, dark eyes and equally dark hair which was now peppered with grey.
"Sir." he saluted, speaking in nearly fluent Arabic. From appearance he was either ethnically middle-eastern, hispanic or perhaps afghan, it was hard to place, although his accent sounded almost Irish.
"We have 10 divisions at your disposal, estimations are that we'll be fully disembarked within the hour, meaning the ships can return home." there was a certain implication that they could bring more troops if necessary.

The bare-headed Turka-Sirian nodded his head, appreciating the General's diplomacy for speaking the language native to the land to which he stood on. His arm extended to the empty seat across the table from him. "Esteemed General, Allah smiles upon your actions to bettering our nation. Please, take a seat, get out of the sun." He reached for the jug of water and poured two glasses full. The water was chilled with ice, a perfect drink in the midday heat.
Leaning back into his seat, he asked "So... I assume you are to be in command of your forces on our soil?" Pharfer asked curiously. He ignored the loud noises of vehicles and barking orders, resuming in his nonchalant tone "Your leader's generosity has not gone over our heads. We realize what risks you take to support our cause. As promised," Pharfer took out a neatly sealed envelope with a bright violet wax seal before sliding it towards the Dyellian "The contract we promised to a portion of our oil supplies. Oil is becoming scarce, as much as the other nations like to deny it, we know the end is coming soon. You may use our oil for whatever means you see fit. Take it, its yours. Your leader's signature is all that seperates your country from a part of our great wealth."

Turka-Sir,
We wish to extend one last offer of peace to you. You have killed two of our own civilians for being nothing but ViZionarians, one being a teenager. This is your last chance before for you to stand down.
Meet our following demands:
-$500 billion paid to the two ViZionarian families whom you killed one of their family members
-Disengage all hostilities towards all foreign civilians, and release them to their home nation
-A new, more peaceful government - Islamic or not - takes power
Should those three simple demands take place, this war will not happen. However, it is in your ballpark.
We will begin preparing for war, and ask that nations join us in a coalition to end such a threat to innocent civilians everywhere should you refuse to accept peace - which, thus far, it is clear you wish nothing but war itself and the death of millions.
Thank You,

You are clearly mistaken. Look around at the allies and friends of ViZion. They're of all sorts - small and large, all political and religious beliefs, all sorts of military and economic strengths. What you will not see is extremists such as yourself whom kill civilians because they're to afraid to ask for damn support, or to afraid to fight the war you claim to want to fight. We have defended the weak and the strong alike, we have been through tough times. But we will not tolerate such actions that you are taking.
We asked for our civilians back, and that others be let go. The civilians are not where your fight is, yet you bring it to them with their death. They are unarmed, and have nothing to do with this. Had you not killed off civilians, you would not be in this situation, yet you continue to dig yourself deeper into a hole. Surrender all civilians to their home nations, and pay the ViZionarian families who lost their family members, and this will be avoided.
Be it known, though, that your refusal will only cause the ViZionarian and allied forces to become that much more angered. Pay up, as well as release all civilians to their home countries, and this WILL BE AVOIDED, as well as a treaty signed.

"Those damn IDIOTS! Do they not understand that the main reason for them being in this situation is the fact that they're holding onto and killing civilians? I swear, my third grade son have more common sense on how to run a country that that so-called 'government'. They stop KILLING civilians, people will not be ANGRY. And then, if some imperialistic nation does decide to attack, we might actually DEFEND them! I swear, they're as dumb as a rock! And who the fuck kills our civilians?!" President Kilo screamed.
The room was quiet. "Answer me this... what's the plan? The guys in Dyelli Beybi are set on defending those idiots. "Sir, we've dispatched a request for support to a few select allies due to Dyelli Beybi being involved." reported Dan Fields, head of ViZion's Affairs of Allies.
General Richmond piped up, "President, we've got nearly a million troops ready to go due to recent mobilizations that lead to nothing. And as you know, they're one pissed off group of soldiers. The whole NATION is up in arms and screaming for the death of that entire COUNTRY right now. Enlistment has quadrupled in the past three days due to this with people ready to fight for the two dead ViZionarian civilians, especially the young high school student."
"Alright, well, I do not expect Turka-Sir to be willing to accept our payment and release offer. General, begin preparation for an attack. Bring all available forces home from abroad in allied locations, and prepare to head to Turka-Sir. Turka-Sir and Dyelli Beybi better hope to God our troops stay within their code of conduct in war. President Kilo,
Your accusation of dishonesty is offensive to say the least. Dyelli Beybi is conducting itself with perfect honour. What would you propose we in Dyelli Beybi do to promote a peaceful solution when you are busily beating the war drum. Your final offer of peace is an absurdity, a thinly veiled excuse to declare war. Where do you suppose Turka-Sir is going to find a trillion dollars? How do you suppose demandss that the encumbent regime allow you to set up a puppet state will ever pass muster?
In the event that similar action had been taken against our citizens we would be outraged, however this has never happened. Dyelli Beybi is not a Western State and as such is not seen as a threat to those people likely to carry out such acts.
You say we will be hurt if we do not stand down. We are not afraid of you. In comparrison with the Islamic States you are used to throwing your weight around with, Dyelli Beybi is a titan. We have wealth, we have technology and we have well trained soldiers which will be used to ensure that the crusade of Neo-liberalism and liberal democracy as championed by the West is halted.

We hope that this will also serve to enrich both our Nations when Dyellian oil companies move in. We imagine at least that this will create many jobs. For now, I hope that your Nation has enough to supply our vehicles. It will make things easier for us if we do not have to ship oil from home."
He paused, before moving onto a slightly more troublesome topic, "It is my greatest fear that we will cause some manner of offence as we are by and large not followers of Mohammed. There are two issues I have felt I need to raise, along with the solutions I have thought of for them."
"The first is women. They make up a large portion of my army. We have ordered that they keep their faces covered in keeping with Shariah law. By our order all troopers are to wear the Tagel while outside of our camps." he paused waiting to see if this was acceptable, "Second is our worship. We hope it will not cause offence if we continue to worship privately in our own manner within our camps. We shall make ourselves invisible to the followers of Islam at these times, so as not to cause offence."

Tv screens around the country tuned into there local new station. The High Leader had promised a very special report on the siutaion going on with Turka-Sir. As the camera starts it up, it zooms out, showing the HIgh Leader above on the platform. He was deep in the Citdial. The only reason he ever came down there was to watch the torture of enemy troops or terrorists.
He spoke " Hello people of the world. I have no doubt everyone is watching this at home. The siuation in Turka-Sir is a dire on indeed. With those stupid Dyelli Beybi pratically massing naval ships on our border, its enough to stress a leader out. So I like to amuse myself. I believe if you want to amuse yourself you should do what you enjoy. And I also believe in the saying of "eye for an eye" "
The camera then switches to four mulsim looking men sitting over a large pool of water. In the water are large, hungry crocdiles. " Now these fine men are from Turka-Sir. Now since they see the need to slaughter helpless people I thought it might be fair to show them how it feels to be the watching party. If you notice there are hungry hungry crocs benath them. I've starved them for about 3 days and they will eat anything. With that in mind I give Turka-Sir this. Either agree to the Vizion's people agreement or see your people suffer. Right now I have my country running background checks on in Zackaroth. Anybody who has been found to have come from Turka-Sir will be denied exit from this country and treated as a POW. And this might happen to. If you have children watching, please turn them away" Aimless said, now smiling. He gave a nod to a guard below.
The guard nodded back and walked to the closest man and kicked him into the pool below. Screams of pain an agony are seen and heard as the Turka-Sir man is ripped apart by the crocs and eaten alive. " I hope my message got through. Goodnight" was all Aimless said as the program ended.

A. ap Adam
"It does not feel good to have things said about you, now does it? Our 'thinly veiled excuse for war', as you claim, it nothing close to an excuse. If we truly wanted war, if we truly wanted to create a pupet state, if we truly were imperialistic as you and the leaders of Turka-Sir claim we are, then we would have done so by now.
As for the monetary issue, payments can be arranged. As for us being a threat to the so-called 'Eastern' way - since, apparently you are not 'Western' as you claim, and, may I interject, I must say I have never gotten as to why people feel the need to divide this hell hole of a world into East vs. West, clearly another ploy by those such as yourself not wishing for peace and prosparity for ALL the world - we have many friends and many allies from all beliefs - both in religion and political - and at all corners of this world, and of all levels of military and economic status, and size wise as well.
This 'excuse' as you claim is a way out of this war for them. Pay up and simply release the civilians. They have absolutely no right to hold innocent civilians from across the globe, and to kill them. NO RIGHT! That FAR transends sovereignty, and thus no attack or invasion is illegal. Yet we continue to give you and your scum-bag of an ally options out of war. We are beating a war drum, yes, but only because you and Turka-Sir give us no options.
Convince them to give up the civilians and pay up - even if payments are needed to finish paying the two families. And note, that money does not go to our government, but rather only to these two families. This is ViZion's one and only beef with the nation of Turka-Sir. Our beef with you is the fact you do not assist us in diplomacy while you preach it. You're talking the talk, but not walking the walk. And then you defend this nation when diplomacy fails.
Notice, we are not asking for the removal of their government. You continue to make claims that we are trying to make them a puppet state. Yet, we continue to offer them the pay and release option, with nothing in regards to a government changeover. While we would like to see that too, if this problem does not happen again, we will have no further beef or problem with them, and may - in the future - actual come to their defense against the true imperialists whom seek ONLY their own personal gains, not to safeguard civilian lives.
Help us do this, help us achieve peace, and there will be no problems. Help us reach the pay and release offer, and this shall be done. Neither you, nor the government of Turka-Sir seem interested remotely for peace, as I see I am the only one making offers here. Again, preaching peace, but not working toward it.
If we can reach this together, no longer will we stand divided, but rather together. We can rid this world of hatred and unnecessary deaths. Help us achieve this. ViZion would far prefer standing along side you and Turka-Sir. But we need you two to be willing to do the same. Even if it was an ally that committed such crimes, we would be doing the same thing we are doing here - making such demands, but possibly even more, as they are held to a higher expectation, given the stance they have, and the light they shine.
I can guarantee you and Turka-Sir that no hostilities will be taken on behalf of ViZion if you two are simply willing to help us end this. We may even be willing to cut down the amount required to pay to the two families - although releasing of all foreign civilians will remain an unchangable requirement.
We are willing to trust in you two. Now, if you two are willing to step out in faith and trust in us and the light we shine bright over this world. Take our hand, and let us move forward. Let us put this behind us. Let us improve relations. Our hand is extended. Please, take our hand, and end this with peace.

High Leader of Zackaroth,
We are absolutely disgusted in your actions. Here, we are trying to take the high road, and you do this. We are quite disappointed. While we realize those you have done this to are militants, should you continue this, action may be required. Should this be done to any civilian, and the same action we take upon Turka-Sir if they refuse to stop will also be taken upon you.
Take the higher road and work with us on a better solution - return all citizens of Turka-Sir to their country. If you don't, you are no better than they - the ones you claim to wish to fight. Do not pour mud on our shining light. Please, return all citizens back to Turka-Sir. This will help in resolving the problem. Otherwise, you are simply adding fuel to the fire.

President Kilo,
You must understand that there are differences between us in the way we act and think that will lead to misunderstandings. That is why I emphasise the difference in cultures. Too often have we in Dyelli Beybi been witness to the forcible imposition of Liberal Democracy. That is not to say we have an issue with Liberal Democracy, indeed by many classifications we are one.
I shall ensure the immediate dispatch of a top diplomat to Turka-Sir to negotiate regarding foreign nationals. I am not offering to have someone negotiate immediately, as I do not feel it is appropriate for this task to fall upon a military person unskilled in the subtleties of diplomacy.
As a measure of good faith we are willing to immediately offer the equivalent of $US 12 million to each and every family affected, not only to those of imported_ViZion. This sum is as much as is within our budget to offer. We would strongly advise against pursuing this inflated claim against Turka-Sir. The amount of money will do nothing to better your situation. While it will make two families ridiculously wealthy, it will impoverish inumerable families within Turka-Sir, stoking the fires of resentment for the future. While it may seem a suitable punitary measure, it is not a measure which I feel will result in a just outcome, and justice surely is more important than revenge?
Your initial communication has given me cause to doubt your honour, however I will chose to overlook this as an unfortunate attempted politican machination that is quite out of character. As it seems appropriate considering the situation we are willing to offer to you, our own hostages as a measure of our good faith and willingness to reach a peaceful settlement.

This is Leonard Gonzalis outside of the Turka-Sirian border, where thousands of angry citizens are in uproar over the actions of the Zackaroth government. We have been informed that a number of hostages have been taken from their guards and killed out in the streets. Their corpses, if our sources are correct, have been dragged out through the streets and are being nailed to what appears to be crosses on the outskirts of major cities.
The other hostages have been moved from their previous locations to a safer location behind the walls of the Presidential Palace. No apology for the deaths of the hostages has been issued as of yet, although a tape released by Halim Jerashaw had this to say:
"You think we, a people of the desert who are familiar of such pain and suffering, will bow down to your threats? You have no idea how to perform phycological warfare as well as we can. Your civilians cower in the dirt before their heads are removed, while ours stand tall and dignified, as a true follower of Islam should! My people would gladly give up their lives for the cause we have worked so hard towards. For they know that unlike your citizens, who will fall into Hell for their blasphemic beliefs, the followers of the teachings of Mohummad will ascend into paradise! This is a message to all Tirka-Sirians inside the country of Zackaroth: Take up arms and rise up against the Western devil! He threatens your lives, your homes, your freedoms, and your people! Know that if your lives should be taken, take heart in knowing that you will have a spot reserved in paradise, and your 72 virgins await eagerly!"
It seems that whether they like it or not, all countires in the region are being sucked into this conflict. Something needs to be done before all of this gets more out of hand than it already is. Leronard Gonzalis, HFF.

Pharfer nodded slowly as the General before him listed their procedures "Very well, General. You have learned our culture well and we thank you for taking the time to learn it, as well as keep your soldiers from offending any of my soldiers or civilians. Of course, this would all be easier if you all simply converted to Islam right now. But of course, some people would rather go to Hell than to Paradise." He shrugged his shoulders, the issue gone and forgotten.
Pharfer reached for both glasses and extended one to his new ally. When the glass was taken to him, he raised it in salute "Inshallah, may both of our countries prosper from our new friendship, and may all others tremble at our soldier's footsteps." He tilted his head back and drained his glass of the precious water.

OOC: I guess I should get off my ass and make a Turka-Sir factsheet soon. Ah well. The Turka-Sir air force is relatively weak compared to the other nations surrounding it (part of the reason why the other countries haven't yet had bombing raids acted upon them). It has no military fighting jets of which to speak of. It does, however, have a relatively strong air defence unit with helicopters. Without the help of Dyelli, it has 87 Mil Mi-24, and 12 Kawasaki OH-1 (these were bought illegally from weapons dealers).

We are happy to report an enlistement increase of over 100%, ending in around 3% of our population, which is about 2400 men. Though not much, we are sure it is enough to join your forces in case of war. Multiple hover-tanks have been ordered, and they will be trained and ready within the month.

"We can but hope that God will chose to be merciful to the dhimmis." Dawlish added, speaking of himself, his army and the majority of his race.
"Inshallah." the Leiutenant General responded, draining his glass. Outside there was the unmistakable sound of a helicopter firing up it's rotors. It died down a few moments later, the pilot apparently satisfied it was still working.
"Now... regarding the impending battle. I know it is something my Government hopes the presence of three Dyellian armies will prevent, but I am not of that opinion. Obviously my army is yours to command for now. I would make the suggestion though that you send us to where it is most likely the enemy will come from so that we might quickly fortify the position. Also it would be good if we could dump ammunition in any positions with heavy SAM. Our weapons fire the 8.01mm round which is unheard of outside Dyelli Beybi, so we will need to protect what we have brought over."
----------
OOC: Dyelli Beybi will be bringing in some squadrons of subsonic air superiority fighters with the main fleet which is on it's way, I'll work out exactly how many later :P
At the moment they have 600 AA vehicles which carry long range and short range SAM as well as 800 attack helicopters which can carry 12 passengers as well as potentially be armed with AA missiles (like a high-tech Hind)

Alexia,
Our issue with money is not with you. You are, after all, not the one in debt with the two families in ViZion. If you are worried about this taking away from the people of Turka-Sir, then I propose this: $250 million to the two families, and $750 million to the citizens of Turka-Sir, thus resolving that issue.
And we stand solid on the requirement of releasing civilians. After all, that is not where their fight is. And had nations come afte this young nation without them harming civilians, we likely would be defending them. However, they had no right to kill other nations innocent civilians.
Have them release the civilians - our main goal here is to end this peacefully with the safe return of civilians from across the globe.
We are glad that chains are now being moved to further this diplomatic resolution. We thank you, and hope that you two can help us in finishing the deal of returning the civilians home safety, while payments are made to those lost.

Official Response from The Holy Imperial Republic of Nueve Italia
In response to the recent rise of tensions in the case of the execution of foreigners within the territory of the Turka-Sir, including civilians belonging to an ally of Nueve Italia, the nation of ViZion, The Senate and Emperor Antonio Orsini Gori have felt it wise to release this statement.
The actions taken by the government of Turka-Sir are condemned by The Holy Imperial Republic as acts against basic Human Rights. Our entire populace has expressed great disgust over the execution of innocent civilians, and reaches out their sorrow to those affected by these tragedies. Likewise, The Senate lends its full support to President Kilo, ViZion, and its citizens. As of this moment, full economic sanctions have been placed against Turka-Sir, whilst the economic, and possibly military, might of our nation is prepared to assist ViZion and its allies to our fullest extent.
We of The Holy Imperial Republic whole-heartedly advise that a peacful, civil resolution be reached, even in this darkest hour for both sides. Nueve Italia has volunteered to be a neutral territory that peace talks can be held in, if this path is so pursued.
If this situation escalates even further, or Nitalian interests are threatened, military force will be considered as an option to prevent a further loss of life.

President Kilo,
We shall do our best to float this proposal. However I have the following ammendments I would like to propose;
Firstly, the $250 million be also divided between the families of the Lorotheon victims. This would ensure that we cover all potential areas of conflict.
Secondly, the $750 million be given to a series of local or foreign construction firms for the purpose of infrastructure growth. We feel this would benefit the common people far more in the long run than a one off distribution of a few units of currency.

Alexia ap Adam, Prime Minister.
