This will be a modern-tech, character driven RP, and of course I'd like the participants to have some degree of proficency with the English language.

I'm looking for roughly four to five additional roleplayers to provide singular members from their nations for a multi-national unit that will track down and apprehend various high-profile terrorists, bad guys, etc.

Anyone interested post something of a description of their character here, or anything really. If you've got a terrorist you like playing as that you want chased across the globe, feel free to mention that, too.

I'm not wanting uber-powerful triple-digit blackbelts who can pull off a one-mile headshot with a snub-nose revolver. Keep your characters real, or they're not going to be accepted. Any race, gender, what have you is okay, so long as there isn't any future-tech, magic, or non-exsistant weapons (some of you guys think a 30mm compact pistol with a 25 round magazine is a viable idea. Not here, it's not.) For simplicity's sake we'll be using exsisting equipment and ammunition. I also hate that I have to say this, but no ninja swords, katanas, exotic weaponry, what have you. You're cops, not samurai or anime characters in this one.

I've got a basic issue list already written up, which each agent will be given on their inception into the organization, but they by no means have to use it. You're welcome to bring your own sidearm, knives, etc.

Anyway, with my usual 'Don't Friggin' Do That' Spiel out of the way, let's see what sort of interest I can drum up...

I've got a few terrorists in mind from my own nation that will be the first round of targets, unless someone else has something. Entire cells are welcome, too.

This is meant to be a fun thing, that's why I want it kept believeable, to minimize arguements and such.

History: Having fought in four wars, and earning decorations and promotions in all four, Micci Ferrio is an experienced soldier and a more-than-able commander. He has led infantry groups from the small squads to the larger divisions, and is credited as on of the most capable small-squad commander in all of Nueve Italia.

He served under Major Fidellio Solle in the 11th Division of the Nitalian Special Forces, the Vestaglies Neres. The 11th, Los Ojos Blancos, or "The White Eyes", are considered the "hard-core" squadron of the Nitalian military, even when ranked up against the other divisions in the Vestaglies Neres.

He is married to Tamara Ferrio, 25 years old, and has 1 child, a young boy, who Micci decided to leave the military to raise. Not wanting to lose such a man, the Emperor himself, Antonio Orsini Gori, approached Micci and asked him to join a new, counter-terror division that was being formed, the Coltello nel Buio Squad. Micci Ferrio agreed to lead the squadron, and was given a dozen of the finest men and women from all the Nitalian military branches to train. Currently, Coltello nel Buio has carried out 3 operations within Nueve Italia, all completed with no civilian or friendly loss of life.

His squad has just been re-outfitted with the new GEMI R-31 Tempesta, and the unit has taken to the weapon easily, with he himself being the best marksman on the Assault Team (excluding the snipers) with the weapon.

Coltello nel Buio is always on alert, and even when Micci is at home, he can be called in to respond to any situation at any time. His wife worries increasingly with each mission he takes, but the young Commander assures her every time he leaves that he has to come back, for her and for the sake of their child.

A good man through and through, Micci has been alerted to the possible formation of an International Counter-Terror squad in a foreign country. Ordered by Antonio Orsini Gori to represent Nueve Italia within the group, Micci graciously accepted. However, he has begun to wonder how he would stack up against soldiers coming from possibly even more elite organizations ...

OOC: Both look pretty good, though perhaps Orbath could use some more details, and we're not running a purely tactical unit here, Nueve Italia, he would probably fit in. The 'Tempesta' would have to go, though. Goes against the whole weapon thing I outlined earlier.

Anyway, you're both cleared to go, once you flesh out the details on your own a bit. If you can, make the characters deeper with stuff like birthplaces, childhood homes and activities, education (higher stuff, like degrees and the like), as well as specific military training and awards they have recieved. Stuff like that will go a long way to making your character more believeable.

Overall, however, good work.

The 'Tempesta' would have to go, though.

The town was raided by a milita group called the Damuia Homeland Resistance Front or the DHRF. The group of 20 militamen murdered and killed everybody in the town except Spencer who survived by hiding in near by forest with his grandfather. He witnessed everything his grandfather took him in and taught him martial arts. He graduated high school at 16 and then attend the Angaorian Military academy were he graduated. His first combat engagement begin in Damuia with a squad of seven soldiers. Who were pinned down by fire from the DHRF soon all of his men. Were took out or wounded so he shoot and protected the wounded by picking up several different weapons and engage the enemy. At different positions he was soon rescued by a battelion of troops and helicopter gunships.

Occupation: Deadbolt Sniper for the Kyan Military

Background:

As the heir of the now defunct royal crown of Logan and Ky and a member of it's ultra-elite sniper division Xavier has led a privileged life since day one. He is not, however, "soft". Xavier is on record as being the second-best shot with a rifle in the entire country and has the history to prove it. He is a veteran of the recent Kyan civil war, where he scored a total of 63 kills in the infamous battle of Lennonton before being wounded in a knife fight with a rebel who stumbled across his position. The wound just mentioned has left a long scar across Xaviers left cheek, which he finds accents his lanky black hair.

As was mentioned earlier Xavier is the rightful heir to the Kyan thrown, however the monarchy was dissolved 37 years ago, and the royal family is now merely entitled to 2 seats in the legislative body of Logan and Ky, their centuries old estate, and their exempt status from most taxes. Theyve also been allowed to keep their royal titles as legal names, and as such Xavier is known as Prince Xavier III.

One final interesting fact about Xavier is his status in the Deadbolt snipers. The Deadbolts are an elite group of just a couple thousand members, they go through rigourous tests and background checks just to be admitted, and then they have to pass training. Needless to say most applicants are denied. The few that do get admitted are immediately issued DRS-84 sniper rifles. This weapon is manafactured by Doomingsland and is the absolute top of the line, as such they come at a staggering 30,000 dollar price tag, nearly three times the average yearly income of a Kyan citizen. Xavier currently holds the title of 1st Lieutenant and is decorated with an obscene amount of medals, including the Kyan 1st honor for bravery.

This is sort of the level of detail I'm looking for, since personnel will be selected for this unit based solely on the information included in their dossier (that's the thing below), and the individual player's demonstrated RP skills. I'll be doing some research on that while people are posting their characters...

SFC Kerrich will most likely not be participating, but his dossier serves to give you guys an idea of what I'm after, in case I wasn't clear before.

And for the record, I'm not trying to be a dick, I just want this to run smoothly, and bad grammar and poor RP skills tend to put people off. Your description doesn't have to be in this format, either. This is, like I said before, an example.

Military Training:

Entry-Level Combat Training (ELCT):

-Covers basic soldier skills, including rifle marksmanship, basic hand-to-hand combat, jungle warfare, urban warfare, close-quarters fire and movement, basic grenade use, basic first aid, weapons familiarization, and land navigation.

Advanced Infantry Training (IT2):

-Additional rifle marksmanship training, grenade training, hand-to-hand combat, and small-unit tactics. Soldiers involved in this course are also trained to a high level of proficiency with all standard weapons, such as squad automatic weapons, grenade launchers, anti-tank rockets, and some explosives, such as Claymore mines. This Mission Operation Specialty (MOS) is required for Airborne, Assault Infantry, and Special Operations training.

Assault Infantry Training (AIT):

-Covers basic and advanced rappelling, from both stationary objects as well as helicopters. Soldiers are also trained to a high level of proficiency with the Springfield SOCOM II M1A battle-rifle and FN M240B medium machine-gun. Intensive physical conditioning is also a part of this initiation rite into the Assault Infantry, the hard-charging shock troops of the Argonian National Army.

Special Operations Selection (SOS):

-Candidates are selected based on physical conditioning, mental toughness, and problem-solving abilities. During this 3-month evaluation, numerous sessions of small-unit force-on-force exercises, lengthy marches, and field infiltration tests are conducted to weed out the under qualified. Sleep and food deprivation are common methods of testing the will and motivation of possible Special Operations soldiers.

Special Operations Qualification (SOQ/The 'Q' Course):

-Candidates that pass the SOS are admitted to a 9-month Hell of brutal physical conditioning, advanced stealth techniques, expert-level weaponry training with numerous native and foreign designs, interrogation, operations planning, expert-level unarmed combat, and intelligence gathering. Students are also taught to operate a selection of commonly-encountered vehicles. The demolitions phase of the course covers assembly of improvised devices, placement and removal of explosive substances, and demolition of commonly-encountered structures. Those that reach the end of this phases of this course are also given training in basic airborne operations, as well as HALO and HAHO jumps, since their operations might extend beyond the borders of the Black Marsh. Both C-130 airplanes and selected helicopters are used as delivery vehicles to maximize flexibility of Special Operations soldiers during insertion procedures.

Sniper Selection Course (SSC):

-Candidates are evaluated on rifle marksmanship fundamentals like breath control and trigger squeeze, stealth aptitude, and patience. This course is one of the shortest, but most demanding, in the Argonian National Army, lasting about two weeks.

Sniper Training Course (STC):

-Selected candidates are trained in the use of the M24 bolt-action rifle, M82A1 anti-material rifle, and the M1A battle-rifle. Advanced field craft and infiltration techniques are also taught. Applicants that have passed the SOQ course are not required to repeat the intelligence gathering portion of the sniper training.

Personality:

Kerrich is a quiet individual, rarely outspoken, despite his fluency in both English and Spanish, in addition to the native Argonian spoken in the yet-to-be-modernized parts of the Black Marsh. His instinctive nature lends itself well to combat, preferring to stalk and kill at close ranges than in the chaos of a fire-fight. Having served in the Argonian National Army since its inception during the modernization of 1999, Kerrich has seen a great deal of combat in the marshes and jungles of his homeland, fighting anti-modernist rebels, mostly hand-to-hand in the dense undergrowth of the swamps of the Black Marsh. His left eye was destroyed by shrapnel during his second tour in the jungles, and seems to have driven him to overcompensate for his handicap. Since that unfortunate incident, his internal drive has never allowed him to accept failure from himself, resulting in an excellent service record. As a leader, Kerrich leads mainly by example, preferring actions over words, his intolerance for failure occasionally bleeding over to encompass the actions of his troops. While this makes him an extremely efficient leader, he is not particularly well-liked by those who have not served under him for a period of time.

There are no documented records of Kerrich's activity before his enlistment, and he is very guarded about that period in his life. As a career soldier, while short by other national military standards, Kerrich's name is something of a legend in the Argonian military community for his actions in the 1st SOG and their results against the insurgency, and subsequently he tends to boost the morale of whatever unit his group is attached to. A loyal and dutiful soldier, Kerrich has offered no qualms about travelling outside the violence of his homeland to train with a foreign military, and sees it as another challenge for him to overcome.

To Angaor: Then do it later. If your time is that limited, I wouldn't bother with trying to participate. You'll probably be playing catch-up most of the time if that's the case. I work thirty-hour shifts every other day, and I can come up with this stuff. You're apparently a lot younger and of more fertile mind, that shouldn't be a problem.

I can do something like that but it might take me a couple of days if your going to have it going by time im finished can i have being assign to replace a non character person or something

Nistolonian Intelligence spends a chunk of its budget paying terrorists to do unpleasant things to its enemies. If you want, I can be a large, looming bad guy, who funds and supports terrorists, though rarely gets involved itself.

BIO: Steven comes from an interesting family line, one that inherently influenced his current position in life. His mother was a third generation Imitoran of Italian descent, and niece of one of the small time family bosses in Imitora. However, what little sway that held in any circle was quickly lost at her marriage. While her husband was also of Italian descent, he was farther removed, and also happened to be Jewish. Her immediate family accepted him, yet never fully welcomed him into this circle. He resented this, and the treatment he received as such, and left soon after Steven was born.

Steve and his brother (elder by one year) often found themselves in trouble, attempting to imitate relatives they never really knew, but admired none the less. Being able to say they had mafia ties gave the two a bit of holding in their social circles, though they hardly knew what it meant. Like most, they saw it as a real life Godfather or Goodfellas, thinking it was all play. The two managed to start a small time theft ring started, focusing mostly on low rent items. Car stereos were a popular pull, and Steve found a knack for electrical systems at this time.

He was a freshman in high school when his older brother was caught trying to steal a whole car, and sentence to three years in a juvenile correction facility. Not wanting to share the same fate, the younger Salazzo made a move to clean up his act, and found work as a free lancer at audio installation stores. He kept a fairly low profile from here out, not wanting to find himself in a situation similar to his brother. However, school was always secondary to him, and he knew full well he would have to find more gainful employment upon his graduation. Like many post conscription era Imitoran males, he found that same call from the military that offered a calling, purpose, money, and real world training. At the youngest allowed age by law, he enlisted at 17 in the Imitoran Marine Corp (IMC), and spent the summer between his junior and senior year of high school in a pre basic preparation school. Two days after his graduation, he shipped off to his basic training program. A month later his brother was released from prison and he too enlisted with the Imitoran Army. The two would never see each other from that point on.

Steve excelled in basic training and advanced infantry school, his natural ego and pride pushing himself harder than any of the DIs. He went into the program with the single goal to succeed, and he did as much. He scored above average in most training sectors, including leadership skills, firearms training, hand to hand combat, and special tactics. His natural skill with electronics earned him a spot in an engineer training course, where he did well enough to earn a spot with an EOD unit attached to the 2nd IMEU(SOC).

It wasn’t much longer after he finished his training when Imitora found itself in the Hodganian expedition. The 2nd IMEU(SOC) and 7th IMEU were sent in order to soften up targets and prepare the area for a long term RIA (Republic of Imitora Army). Steve served with distinction, including his participation in the long term battle for the capital.

After a service term of five years, Steve signed up for the Advanced Tactical Warfare School offered by the IMC. Completion of the program earned him a choice of assignments, and he chose to go with the 85th Long Range Reconnaissance Scout Team, assigned to the 2nd IMEU(SOC). The 285 LRRST participated in a number of stand alone and joint task force operations, including surveying of the Vrakian coast, and the recon and target identification for the air war portion of the Aubanian and Fultonia occupations. During the down time, Salazzo earned his NCO promotion, and specialized in combat engineering. While not an accredited program, in Imitora this is recognized as a full degree in both electrical engineering and construction engineering. He RTU’d to the 2nd IMEU(SOC) to serve as the secondary NCIC during the Tarlachian troubles, where his unit provided security and assistance in the refugee camps.

It was in this time that not only did Steve marry is long time girlfriend, but also learned of his brother’s death on a counter espionage operation in Tanaara. To this point, he had assumed that his brother had been out of contact mostly based on time constraints. He had no idea that the elder Salazzo had been involved with the RIA’s special operations programs, and was a full fledged member of IMSPECWAR. It is of note that his brother was buried empty casket, with full honors.

Steve fit the bill perfectly for the IMSPECWAR program. Young, pride driven, with an emotionally or physically absent father and strong mother figure. After what little research he was capable of performing, he managed to convince his CO and Senior NCO to write a recommendation. Steven completed the IMSPECWAR selection program and was assigned to the 105th Special Air Assault Regiment. The 105th is an elite light infantry unit that handles more sensitive operations that most of the IMSOCOM units do. He saw little combat while attached to the 105th, but proved himself in numerous training exercises, and was offered a spot in the fourth selection class for a new cross selection counter terror unit. He passed selection on the day of his thirty first birthday, and was assigned to the logistical support team until an opening in one of the four teams attached to the unit had an opening. Due to the associated down time, Steven signed up for every combat engineering, EOD, and explosives training class that he could, and all but secured himself a spot in the Master Chief Selection Program.

For reasons beyond his understanding, he has recently been fast tracked into the IMSPECWAR OCS. The recommendation was passed along by his CO and Senior NCO, who despite lower rank, seem to pull more weight than some of the star and flag rank officers. In order to be eligible for the OCS program, he must complete an assignment while attached to a foreign or joint operations unit.

PPA:

The following has been declassified from the IMSPECWAR Medical Operations Directorate from SSgt. Steven Salazzo’s Personality and Psychology Analysis for purpose of the operation.

SSgt. Salazzo seems to fit the standard mold for IMSPECWAR Operators. He comes from a naturally pride driven culture, with a strong central mother figure and an emotionally or physically absent father. This tends to create an emotional need for the candidate to prove that lack of a father figure did not weaken the individual. A strong ego/pride center usually adds to the driven nature, and he tends to view a failure as just that, and not a learning experience.

SSgt. Salazzo tends to be a bit more on the relaxed side, and not a very tense individual. He tends to view problems as a solid challenge that does have a positive, desirable outcome, and will push others towards achieving what is considered the best outcome for the group. His actions and test scores show that he is far more concerned with the well being of a group than his own, and to this point has received mostly positive performance reviews.

His psychology testing as recorded him in the stable to very stable range, and from his actions shown in combat, he maintains his composure under fire. His interest in explosive ordinance is purely part of his engineer training, and he exhibits zero signs of a possible pyromaniac or explosives fanatic. Intelligence is just above average, though formal education is minimal. Clarity and preciseness of after action reports show that he has a good long term memory even under stressful conditions, and he comes highly recommended from commanding officers and senior non commissioned officers.

SKILL REPORT: SSgt. Salazzo tests in the above proficient range with the Big 3: Armalite base rifles, Kalashnikov based rifles, and H&K Submachine Guns. However, he tests clearly in the expert range with the Imitoran utilized range of side arms. This includes Colt 1911 based weapons, Browning Hi Power 9mm weapons, Beretta 9x weapons, and the FN FiveseveN. He has also qualified as a standard Marksman with the M21 based weapon system, as per IMC regulations. His engineering training as qualified him on many man portable heavy weapon systems, such as shoulder launched surface to air weapons, and shoulder launched anti tank weaponry. A full skill set can be viewed in the attached training report.

EQUIPMENT: As per instructions of the host nation, SSgt. Salazzo will be arriving with only basic equipment. Relaxed dress clothing, two sets of Imitora Class A Combat Uniforms, and his Class A Dress Uniform. He will be, at the permission of the host nation, be carrying a personal side arm.

Training

Xavier is a member of the Deadbolt ultra-elite sniper group, and as such has recieved the following training-

Resistance to extreme heat and cold: He scored extremely well in both aspects, however during one of the desert exercises he had to airlifted back to Logan and Ky when a sandstorm clogged the airways to his lungs, causing him to cease breathing for over a minute.

Torture resistance: All deadbolts are trained to never give in to even the most extreme pain. This is achieved through a completely voluntary electro-shock treatment. The subjects are given increasingly powerful electric shocks until they press a button stopping the process. They then repeat in subsequent days until the subject can resist so much pain that any more would cause them to go into shock. This training method is highly controversial, but military leaders have pointed out that it is completely voluntary.

Accuracy/Weapon training: All deadbolts are, of course, excellent shots. However this is honed even more by several hours of time on the shooting range per day. Xavier, as mentioned earlier, is one of the best shots in the entire program.

Physical Fitness: All deadbolts must go through rigorous tests of physical strength and endurance, most of which entail walking or running large distances.

Wilderness Survival: This is one of the most important aspects of a deadbolts training. It is, in fact, they last thing they are tested and trained for before being accepted into the deadbolt ranks. Each subject is dropped in a random position deep in the Kyan wilderness. They are told to survive for a total of 18 days, at which point they will be airlifted out by helicopter. All who are subject to this test have various trackers and monitors put in their body so that they may be rescued if in danger. However, this doesnt take into account the various wild animals that roam in Logan and Ky's forests, and so far over a dozen trainees have been mauled to death.

Other: Deadbolts are also trained in many other fields, these include espionage, lock-picking, suicide upon capture, and even how to pilot certain civilian and military airplanes.
