Trailers

In the two and a half decades since the successful military coup that had taken the loosely confederated Traileric systems and forged them into the Traileric Empire, much had been undertaken. The military coup had been costly for both the loyal and rebel fleets. Many lives, both civil and combatant, had been lost. It had taken quite some time to recover from the infrastructural damage..in fact, the odds of Trailers survival as a sovereign state would have been nonexistent without allied help.
But now things were back on track. Ten cycles ago, Aftokratoras (Imperator) Hadriel had for the first time seen economical profit, and the first payoffs of the fruits of his labor. Over the next ten cycles, he focused Traileric industrial might on the repaying of debts to foreign support, and civil repair. Nothing could repay the four million souls lost, but he would damn well try.
He sat now, in the Throne of Worlds, and watched as a new Chalice of Trailica was erected over the capital city of Met; at long last replacing the shattered ruins of the old Chalice, which had been destroyed by fire in the coup. It was a day for hope for the loyal and faithful citizens of the Met, a city which had been all but wiped from the face of the planet during the final battle for dominance..
Hadriel looked away from the ceremony. He had already spoken his piece to the people hours before, but now he needed to attend to some business. The first order of military business for him after he attained control had been to do away with the previous inefficient corps system that had been in place since Traileric ascent from the dark ages. The Traileric army and navy had been combined, then the mass numbers divided into twenty-six smaller, more responsive armies, each responsible for a sector of the Empire.
Hadriel sat upon his throne and gazed upon the massive Cauldron that bubbled before him. After a moment, the blue goop stabilized into a picture: Four thousand capital vessels, situated outside the titanic Apollo shipyard complex that resided within the Macedonika star system. Four new legions, a six percent increase in military funding, an increase of the armed forces troop strength by two hundred thirty thousand hoplites. At long last Trailers had returned to it's former glory..
..And by god damn, with a total of thirty legions and the reactivation of the Bridgeburners, surpassed it.
