(Shows route from Drahone to Irada and Irshon)
Drahone Military Base
12 September
"Preparing for Attack"
The soldiers of the Acalian Empire were anxious. Orders had been passed down from the Imperial High Command to initiate attacks on the city of Irada even though the forces of the Empire's allies had yet to arrive. Inside the base were two-thousand Imperial soldiers, each armed with an outdated model of the AR-15 assault rifle, and a 9mm side arm. Ammunition was scarse, because of this the soldiers were divided into sections of five-hundred men and were given an ammunition 'ration'. This was ill recieved by the soldiers and angry muttering was heard throughout the base as they prepared for the assault.
As well as two thousand infantry, there was also thirty T-80 tanks, twelve M-198 howitzers, and twenty trucks capable of holding one hundred troops each. The assault would not be aided by air strikes. The goal was to capture the city, not to reduce it to rubble.
At exactly 1300 hours, the troops were ordered to load up. The gates to Drahone opened, two rows of 15 tanks exited. Then the trucks with the soldiers exited, and the artillary brought up the rear. Irada was nearly 200 miles away... It would be a long drive.
(OOC: Kirav and Errikland: are you guys still in on this?)
