Civilians massacred in Mokastana

Mokastana

This is raw footage from the Mokastana Civil War:

Relief workers from The Indonesian states are helping injured men and women on the docks. As far as the eye can see there are beds and shacks filled with civilians and military alike. In the background Independent forces are holding up a defensive perimeter. One woman is missing a leg while the field medics are patching her up and hooking her up to an IV.

"we cant loose this one, enough civilian causalities for one day."

The camera looks behind him and sees huge Freighters from The Indonesian states coming into the pier, just then it explodes. A confederate MIG is seen flying overhead, more explosions are heard and the camera turns around. Bear bombers are dropping napalm all over the Docks, killing and cooking everyone...

then the camera dies...

"Greetings, I am Emililio Sanchez of the Free Mejico Movement, We also call ourselves the Independents, because that is what we want, Independence. As you have seen the Confederate Army is doing everything they can to to stop us from being free, even if it means the murder of innocent civilians. Sadly we cannot allow this current government to oppress its citizens like this. We request any aide you, the international community can offer us."

Another clip of home movies....

This time it is in a van driving down a jungle road, the camera sits in the back seats, in front are 3 kids and 2 adults. Sreams in Spanish are heard until the van stops and the driver bails out, the side doors open and the kids and adults try to get out. the camera moves uncontrolably but eventually makes it out of the van. Looking up is an Alfegos fighter that launches a missile that blows up the van. 2 kids go up in flames and then the camera cuts off...

"as you see, the allies of the Confederacy are just as vile and careless as the confederacy itself, besides hitting civilain cars they have launched a massive gasing campaign south of Cancun. Even Lyras, the great producer of military goods has launched hundreds of cruise missiles on to civilian targets. We are running low on supplies and need assistance, we thank you few allies in the fight for freedom. But please, help us.

Viva livertad"

New Masada, Kahanistan

Lieutenant General Igor Kaselev, Director of Military Intelligence, scanned the latest report from Mokastana. If the allegations of Lyras murdering civilians were true, it would be politically risky to continue buying Lyran arms. On top of this, Kahanistan hadn't intervened in a situation like this since... well, since right before their insertion into Clandonia went belly-up.

Kahanistan did not have much in the way of larger landing ships, so the insertion of an intelligence team to discover the details of these alleged war crimes was going to take some planning.

A standard Special Combat Service unit of ten marines was prepared; these teams generally included a language specialist, a medical officer and a dedicated intelligence officer in addition to seven hard-core combat troops - a machine gunner, two snipers, an anti-tank gunner, an anti-air gunner and two rifle infantry. At a nearby base, an inflatable boat was being loaded onto a C-130 transport, along with a supply crate attached to a buoy to keep the crate from sinking.

In the dead of a stormy night Shino slept but was awakened. "Haruhi?"

"Sorry to disturb you milady, you should come the palace and see something, important."

"It's horribly stormy out, can this wait?"

"No milady...."

"Very well. I won't wake George. He hasn't slept well since this ordeal began."

Shino threw on a shawl over her nude body, they ran through the rain. They watched the footage.

"who are we supporting here?" Haruhi asked.

Shino had to contemplate. "Haruhi...It's the start of the monsone season, we are going to have problems...Let's not worry about it later."

"I know you support your husband because of his origin but this could put us at odds."

"Haruhi...." Shino said nothing mroe exiting back into the storm.

A lone aircraft passed very low over the sea, a C-130 with ten men and women of the Kahanistan Republic Marines. This aircraft flew so low to avoid enemy radar installations, though it was not known if there were any to avoid in this wartorn nation.

Outside Mokastanan territorial waters, the ten marines in life jackets, an inflatable boat, and a floating crate with gear in it were dropped, so the marines could climb aboard if they had fallen out during the landing, and bring their goods ashore after the three hours it was expected to take the boat to arrive on an isolated part of the beach with favourable winds.

On the sourthern side of the region, another aircraft hovered high in the air; its jet-black stealth-op-style chassis trembling slightly from the rapid night gusts. It was a UNMF UAV, assigned to covert scouting and retrieving duty.

The frost-encrusted camera lens swiveled around, scanning the terrain 11,000 feet below. The craft continued this activity four complete times before circling back and heading west.

UNMF Specialist Intelligence Officer Scott Chutney watched his two fiber-optic scanning screens. One of them was the reciever for the UAV's camera transmissions, while the other was a newscast radar system that surveyed the nearby areas for minor and major incidents. So far, nothing. Scott leaned back in his leather desk chair, and sipped the warm mocha he held in his hand. Vivid refreshment washed over him; the man hadn't eaten or drunken anything without no taste in the last 32 hours. It was his lot in life, Scott guessed. His friends got to operate in the 76th Brigade "Venom", while he was stuck here. Watching two blank computer screens that filled him in on boring news about some little incident that no one cared about. The officer grumbled rather loudly, and was just about to get up and relieve himself in the bathroom when the pinger cried. There was a transmission coming in!

Scott hurriedly typed in a few command requirements, and granted access-lock of the message. The second computer-screen seemed to pop up as the dark glass turned blue, then a white medium-sized box appeared. It appeared that a Emililio Sanchez of the Free Mejico Movement was requesting aid from all available allies and neutral organizations. Scott punched in two letters, and continued to watch as Emililio ranted on with his speech. After a few minutes, Scott realized they were under attack. His eyes widened as the clip rolled on, showing streaks of fire as a MIG missile detonated upon a car, turning the scene into a fiery carnage.

Chutney routed the message base, and sent the transmission to Intelligence Officer in Command Jenna Miles. She was the one who should hear about this, since she was in charge of this damn run-down spec-op building. He didn't care if Emililio, or whoever it was, boiled there right on the spot. All he needed to do was use the bathroom. The man got up, leaving his small office alone.

RE: Human rights violations and atrocities of the civil war in Mokastana

People of the world.

It has long been known by all who make war their focus, or who do more than dabble at its periphery, that war between erstwhile comrades is often the bloodiest, ugliest and most lacking in honour.

The poorly-named Free Mejico Movement has claimed brutality and bloodshed on the part of the Confederacy of Mokastana and its allies. Has shown doctored or out of context footage, and claimed it as justification for their actions.

We here deplore and in the strongest terms condemn their duplicity and honourless deception.

We target munitions factories, airfields and freight rail networks, while they herd people into them so they can claim we target civilians.

We restrain our forces, seeking to fight with the courage and honour we hold sacrosanct, while so called "independents" mobilise militias, and draft children into services with empty promises of adventure and glory.

Heed these lies not. They will decieve you, as so many others have been decieved, and will waste your armies even as the rebels waste their own people upon the altar of an ignoble insurrection.

Intelligence Office Captain Jenna Miles jerked up, woken by the security-detector. She slapped the controls angrily, and swiveled in her chair to face the standard black computers the engineers put in this INTU-assigned building. The screen of the closest machine lit up, a tiny box appearing in the center. She knew what it was; it had happened a million times before. It was a message transmission from Scott Chutney, another intel-officer lurking in the eastern side of the structure. Jenna read the letter, and leaned back a little. "They request help? Scott, you little bast-" she shook her head.

Chutney was probably doing this to make her feel bad. But as she watched the sudden clips of Emililio's report, Miles gasped. How could they do that? And why? Sanchez hadn't even finished yet and she was starting to think of sending a whole Stryker brigade down there. The captain straightened up, and began to type up an intricate persuasion message to a certain Colonel Avery Markino. This had to be looked at.

The Spire, Magna Polis-

"It's obvious those are staged. Hell of a video editing job to imitate the planes." said GRIFFITH-II when he watched the video. He had troops, including the Federal Guard (National Police) deployed in the region to fight the independants. Then the GWO Television channels were hacked, and GRIFFITH-II watched as the propaganda video flashed. This one, however, had more footage. It showed Federal Guardsmen beating down people (Which was a common thing for GWO law enforcement agencies). "That's nothing big." said GRIFFITH-II. Then it showed several Federation Marines lining up people in civilian clothes and shooting them while they were blindfolded. Then he realized this was being broadcast across numerous international channels. "Oh." he simply said to himself.

Emililio, it has come to my conclusion that UNMF will be involved in this. You are to recieve full support of all available standard UNMF Spec-Ops soldiers in the vicinity of the region. As of now, there are 15 C-130s' flying towards your own forces. The planes are carrying the maximum payload of supplies and armor. Do not engage. In addition, there will be a squadron of AH-64 Apache gunships flying close to the perimeters of the area; they will provide covering fire and suppressive fire for your forces. Best of luck to us all.

Captain Jamal al-Walid, the commander of the infiltration squad aboard the small insertion vessel, washed ashore with his crew, outfitted with their heavy weapons and rucksacks. After they equipped themselves with their 40-kilogram packs, they capsized the supply crate a kilometre off shore and sank it; they were now weighed down with their supplies and arms; sleeping bags, machine guns, heavy weapons, MRE's, ammunition, dictionaries, radios, cameras, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

They crept ashore, their orders being to scout out a Free Mejico unit and link with it, hoping to capture evidence of atrocities that could be verified. The results of this mission could have serious effects on continued purchases of Lyran arms.

[OOC: Shazbotdom, I think it might be interesting to have some of my troops encounter some of yours if you land. Your government seems to want the same thing mine does (the truth), and it might be fun to see if they would be able to cooperate, given they probably don't trust each other 100%.]

UNMF AFC C-130 "Old Betty" Pilot David Millbeck shook steadily as his craft soared about 7,000 feet above the air. Apparently, this was a supply-drop mission, and his squadron was assured that nothing would be shooting at them. The constant rattling and intense booming of Old Betty's engine rumbled throughout its metal body; MillBeck could barely hear the whine of the transmission screen go off. The pilot swiveled around in a 180 degree angle in his chair, and tapped a control, keeping one hand on the flying wheel. Turning back to face the windsheild, David coughed slightly, and listened to the voice issuing orders inside his muffs. Looks like the Chief of Staff wanted the small group of C-130's to fly higher into the sky. As in, really really higher. MillBeck shook his head. Did they honestly think some missiles wouldn't be able to reach his planes? Still, an order was an order, and the co-pilot gunned the plane at least 6,000 more feet above the suddenly darkening sky. MillBeck thought if they flew above this the C-130's would be in space.

We are assuming this is in $US. We will trade in 100 litres for this amount, which is well over the amount you will require as only a droplet the size of a pinhead is sufficient to prove lethal.
