OOC: This is just me making an official statement of what will become of the former Steppe Empire/Hyperboria. Most of it was nuked to kingdom come but some areas were not for one reason or another. SE fled into space so he won’t miss a little plot of land. For further reading on the matter see: http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=540628&highlight=Steppe+Empire

IC:
An open statement from His Imperial Majesty’s Government of the Imperium of Adaptus Astrates.

In the aftermath of the Steppe Empire conflict, the Imperium would like to announce the plans for the future of the conquered area.
During the conflict three large airbases were established- IAF Camelot, Avalon and Stonehenge. These bases shall remain in the country, housing a five thousand strong garrison each, two squadrons of F35A fighter aircraft, plus helicopters and other support aircraft, for each base. Each base is located approximately five miles away from a town or city. These three cities near the air bases shall be renamed in correspondence to their nearby air bases. The settlements were occupied at the start of the war, most of the original inhabitants fleeing- therefore these settlements were not struck by nuclear missiles, and as part of the plan for the nuclear strike they were not affected by the fallout. These cities will provide homes for the garrison force’s families.
A deep water naval base- Port Royal- is currently being established, and will be base to two Imperial Navy battle groups, fifty warships (possibly) in total. It is hoped that Port Royal may also be able to take super dreadnought sized warships, and also become a major commercial port.
Areas affected by the radioactive fallout shall be restricted for all civilians and almost all military personnel, only military scientists will have access.

The area formerly known as Hyperboria shall become part of the Imperium as a sparsely populated but large area colony. Long live the Emperor!
