Hi, Oswegoland. Welcome to the forums. I think, before anything, let's start with some pointers. First of all: I would not advise starting off with a war. Some bigger nation will take this as an opportunity to crush you easily and then annex you. No fun. So, the first thing to do is read the stickies at the top of the page. Those are always useful. Secondly, try opening an embassy thread instead, rather then entering the world as a warmonger. Hope this helps!

To offer to take on all comers, especially with such a new nation, is not a good idea to start your rp career with. Read the stickies, and try something more constructive.

Trust me, you will not regret it.

AND I don't have a very big Army, Navy or Air Force so it costs less to modernise.

Well, if you really want to go in depth with the economy things then...
1. You have no heath service. You're people get sick, they die
2. No transport, no motorways or railways or airports? How would your 'mighty armies' get about? They're no more mobile than Napoleon's men
3. No administration, How do you organise your army, taxes and budget? How could they conduct a defense or fight a war?
4. No social equality? I sense a Working class uprising
5. You import three times as much material as I do...I wonder if I could strangle that somehow...

Using your statistics, I can prove that you are far from assured a victory against a small but well armed and trained nation, full of contented citizens :D

The transports, motorways, railways, and airports are owned by private corporations.

It's figured into the Religion and Spirituality budget. The government is theocratic.

Which reminds me, I need to update mine to reflect that I've grown more then a billion citizens since I made it.

My army barely hovers at 22 thousand men, I have a virtually nonexistent air force, because, as I told Gens Romae, most of my nations military budget has gone into the development of nuclear weapons.

HOW IN THE NAME OF FUCK DID I GET INTO GET INTO A WAR LIKE THIS?

My military focuses on Army/Marines/Navy, with a well-equipped but generally small Air Force, as wel as a complementary side dish of WMDs (Excluding Dirty Bombs, as they are money-wasters compared to Nuclear Bombs, etc.)

I don't have an determined size or close estimate, but it is generally around 10,000,000 combat-wise (And not counting Civilian Control (City)/Continential Police/Federal Guard (National), which are officially part of the military), as most people have much, much, better respect and financial options if they're in the military, and the fact that the military is spammed with clones. I don't really care about calculators anymore, after finding out that experienced nations don't usually use them.

You can't have 14% of your population in the peacetime Army that's just ridiculious. You're economy would collapse and seeing as this is MT, clones haven't been invented yet

They have normal jobs and whatnot outside of the military, but they can be sent off if needed.

Indeed, I have been diverted rather badly the past few pages and I apologise to Oswegoland for that. I am now involved in a war and so will keep my trap shut from now on.

I must confess that I am confused as to how someone would actually fight a war in Nation States. How do you do this?

No problemo. It's always best to ask, that way you avoid making a faux pas.
