Sept 25, 2007- USA International News Report:
With the recent discovery of a rich uranium deposit on Taralensian soil, and the subsequent initiation of government funded mining and development projects, The Republic of Khallasir has voiced concern for it's safety. Grand Emperor Dorian Kormell XVII has assured the President that any testing conducted is merely for the production of nuclear power supplies.

Tempers flared during a meeting between Emperor Dorian and President Assad Narrir concerning the ongoing development of Taralensia's nuclear program. The meeting was called to an abrupt end when the president gave Emperor Dorian a one month ultimatum to halt all further extraction of radioactive resources.

People of the Empire, six days ago, the Republic of Khallasir had mobilized it's troops to our shared border to the south. We considered this an open act of hostility and sent a three day ultimatum to withdraw it's forces from the border. It's failure to comply, along with the sudden separation from the PAU, has left us no choice but to respond in kind with the mobilization of our own forces to the border. We pray this will not escalate into a full armed conflict, but we will not back down until the Republic withdraws it's opposition to our nuclear power program.

The PAU is a peaceful, socialist region devoted to ensuring the freedoms and right to life of all its people. The nation of Taralensia has shown throughout their long membership absolutely no harmful intent toward its neighbours whatsoever, and has been nothing but a positive force. Their recent uranium discovery simply allows them to pursue a new source of relatively safe and affordable energy and will be key in their development as a nation. The Taralensians obviously have no aggressive intents and the rampant paranoia of Khallasir has no place within a union of friendly neighbour states dedicated to mutual betterment. The continued military presence of Khallasir on PAU member soil will absolutely not be tolerated.

If the ultimatum is not met and the Khallasir troops do not withdraw within the established time period Roseariea and it's military allies of Costa del Apollo and Rosengarrd will have no choice but to mobilize a greater number of troops then people living in Khallasir. We beg you to withdraw. It cannot be made clearer.

Military support from nations outside the PAU is wholly unneeded and unwelcome at this point. This situation need not escalate and we have adequate defence should Khallasir make an incorrect decision of their own volition. We do not want war, but we will defend our people.

Solidarity is key here, comrades. Rest assured, Taralensia will remain secure and stable. The union is behind you.

Dear comrades, as of 7:54 Pm EST, the Khallassir Military staged a formal invasion of Taralensian boundaries. The initial air strike succeeded in knocking out several key communications arrays, I Emperor Dorian, am currently bro...a..ting from a hid....n................ <connection lost>

I president Juan Pablo The 3rd have listened to this message, i say we must get key communications back up,my country and DRAA will send another combined force of 50,000 troops en route to Taralensia soil and will arrive at the capitol and help defend it,and if needed hold key positions and slow the advancement until further PAU forces arrive.

The Kingdom of Dessert Peoples wishes to show it's full support to Taralensia in the ongoing conflict over uranium mining. We intend to send a battalion of soldiers to help reclaim borders and build new communication lines.

The satellites in orbit got into position, pointing downwards. Similtaneously, each fired a 50cm diameter tungsten sphere, strapped to a small rocket.

The rockets broke open as it entered the atmosphere, and the spheres began to glow as they continued to shoot at a speed of 20km/s through the atmosphere, heating up immensly. Within seconds, they hit their targets.

"We aren't sure of accuracy yet sir, waiting for EITS II to give us visual."

If, as they had been planned to, hit the sedimentary rock of their targets, a crater of about 50m diameter would have been raised, as well as the atmospheric overpressure flattening every building within 100 metres of the impact. No fireball, at these low velocities, neither a powerful earthquake. If they didn't find the unusally high levels of molten tungsten in the crater, they would believe it was an act of god.

"Grand Marshall Klague! Urgent report from Virticon.", shouted a young Colonel as he entered the Marshall's quarters, a sealed manila envelope in hand. "We believe the transmission was sent via KRIA channels, but you know with them... never sure of anything."

Klague looked up from his computer, he had just been reading the most recent article of uranium shortages in Antarctika, an issue which would ruin the Koalition if not dealt with. Kroando was completely dependent upon nuclear power, 91% of the nation being run on this source of energy. Without nuclear power, the entire nation would freeze over, exterminating whatever life existed on the continent. Uranium had to be obtained. It was that the Kroandons were thinking about, all they wanted, all they needed. Every Government Agency, Korporation, Military Force and Comapny was out looking for the substance. And now it had been found. KRIA, one of Kroando's leading intelligence agencies, had clearly stumbled upon the issue in Taralensia, and passed it on to Klague.

Klague took the report, toar it open and read over the files within. After roughly ten minutes, the Grand Marshall looked up and spoke. "Get us a heading dead north Colonel." And with that the massive fleet was on the move. Hundreds of vessels now toar through the water towards the shores of Taralensia, and soon was sent a message to the Government of the nation.

To Whom It May Concern,

We have heard of your troubles, and wish to aid you in your quest to free your nation of these tyrannical invaders. My force is enroute, please send a detailed map of your nation, with markings displaying the attackers. We shall also inquire into the strength of the aggressors, including numbers and positions.
