Description:

...I think it's one of, if not the most realistic and well designed aircraft I have seen on Nation States to date.

-Intro-
The Faxanavian air force was on a quest. A quest for a new fighter jet. And the folks at Ottomautics Weapons Inc. delivered once again, this time with the AF-17 Mudhen. The Mudhen was a redesign of the old Faxanavian BF-12 Mudhen, but has been completely overhauled. Now, this superior fighter can become the pinnacle of your airforce.

-Propulsion-
The AF-17 is fast and furious. For propulsion, it uses one Pratt & Whitney F119 Turbofan with thrust vectoring and afterburner which produces 35,000 pounds of thrust for speeds up to Mach 2. Without its afterburners, the AF-17 speeds along at Mach 1.72

-Airframe-
For maximum speed, the AF-17 uses an aluminium-titanium composite airframe for a maximal combination of strength and speed. The body curves back, almost into a delta wing shape, to further streamline the fighter, and it ends in the turbofan. The cockpit itself is also streamlined.

-Electronics/Avionics-
The AF-17 utulizes a fly-by-wire guidance interface for movement, and an integrated avionics system in the cockpit which compiles information from the AF-17's external systems, including a nosecone mounted FLIR, and present feedback on the battlefield, weapons load, GPS image, and engine status, including the status of the fuselage mounted droptank. The pilot also has access to a BVR fighting interface through his or her helmet.

-Armorment-
The AF-17 uses two seperate weapons systems. The first is the single nosecone topmounted GSh-6-23 gatling guns, used for close quarters and WVR dogfighting. However, the main weaponry on the AF-17 is its variety of missiles and bombs. It has a total of 8 hardpoints- 2 wingtip (generally used for smaller missiles, such as the AIM-9 Sidewinder) and 6 underwing. These can be used for mounting either missiles or bombs, depending on the mission. There are also two recessed AMRAAM bays in the fuselage.

Draftroom approved!

We would like to buy 2 P22's for tester purposes, as a possibility of replacing the aging F-54 fleet.

Should we like it, we would like to purchase the DPR, under the name F-33 Flash, produced by Kugov Avionics Corporation. We would use domestically- produced parts for the aircraft.

1 UH-60 will be there to drop off the 301.2 million dollars for the two units.

The Department of Defense of the Grand Duchy of Vaultisbersg would like to order four (4) of The P22 AF-17 Mudhen for testing purposes. However, because of the good reports of other nations concerning the flying capacities of your fighter, we would like to order an option for possibly buying seventy-five (75) more aircraft if the testings are passed. Because you didn't specified the order price for the options we assumed that 25% of the value of the airplanes is enough. Indeed, this sum would be substracted from the final order.
We have already wired you 2.6299 Billion of USD from Vault Bank International, and we sent you by one of our airliners a special gift for your project. (49 Polar Bear fur rugs)

With the Highest regards of His Royal Highness Edward Vault, Grand Duke of Vaultisbersg

P.S; The final flight test would take part on Kerris Air Force Base in Vaultisbersg, we would enjoy your presence here

To follow our previous order of 75 options of your jet, we would like to finalize the order and to ask the delivery of those jets. Recent shift in the balance of power of our neighbors has made very important the acquisition of new military equipment.

We are very kind that you enjoyed our previous gift, we are enclosing the receipt of the wire transfer from Vault Bank International of 6.502 Billion USD,

One of our cruise liners will ship to you 87 crates of polar bear kebabs as a present for your productivity in the production of those jets.

With the Highest regards of His Royal Highness Edward Vault, Grand Duke of Vaultisbersg

p.s: Your presence at the final flight test will still be appreciated, even if its obviously only a formality...

The vast private jet with the Ottomautics logo emblazoned on its side circled above Vaultisberg. Inside was Wayne Redco, the Senior Vice-President of Engineering of Ottomautics Weapons Inc. The plane was currently circling over Kerris Air Force Base, and radioed out. "Come in, Kerris. I repeat, come in, Kerris. Permission to land requested."

"Roger roger. Over and out." The airliner swung around sharly, and began its descent. Coming down with a smooth landing, it taxied down the runway, until it finally slowed to a halt, and stopped near a gate. A long set of steps unfolded from the side door, and down came Wayne Redco, looking around him at Vaultsberg. Even the usual coldness of Faxanavia had not prepared him for the cold of Vaultsberg (OOC: I assume it's cold, as you have polar bears) The sky was a beautiful shade of blue, and he looked on in wonder, waiting for whoever was going to meet him.

The convoy of official limousines drove along the runway with a distinctive roar, making it look like a black sting across the landscape of snow. After the convoy stopped, the Minister of Defense, Lord Leonard Spencer-Williams, stepped out of the official BMW 750 and walk a few steps to met his foreing visitor : What a pleasure for you to have come far from Faxanavia to visit our noble nation....

Wayne saw Lord Leonard almost immediately- it was hard not to miss such a regal personage. He extended a hand in greeting. "This is a lovely country, lord Leonard. I am glad to be here in Vaultsburg." He looked at the long convoy of cars, stretched across the airfield. "Where, may I ask, are you keeping the AF-17's?"
