Sea of Forgiveness
25 miles of the coast of Godzillland
Bridge of GLSS Iron Dragon
It had been a calm day at sea, captain Nulan reflected. Of course, few other countries even carried about his ship, our, for that matter, the navy of his country. Nulan sighed.[I]Soon I'll be back at home[I]he thought. Godzillland, home of the world's nuts and wierdos. He smiled to himself.
"Captain" the sonarman yelled"We have an unidentified object off our port bow!"
"Size, ensign?"
"Atleast one hundred fifty meters"
Christ, thought Nulan, it's huge!
"All ahead starboard!"
Nulan felt the ship lurch as it turned.
"It's following!" the sonarman yelled.
"Keep us ahead of it, ensign!" ordered Nulan calmly.
"Still approaching!"
Nulan was perplexed. Who would want to follow his ship, anyway? And who had a 15o meter long submersible?
"What could it be?" asked Shindo, Nulan's first mate.
"It's too big to be Russian, Japenese, or American" said the sonarmen.
Suddenly, a commotion attracted the three men's attention. Sailors on the stern were pointing excitedly at something behind the ship.
"Get back to your-" Shindo began, then he saw the object of the sailors facination. A huge swell in the ocean was following the ship. Suddenly, the bulge rose up to reveal its source, a huge reptillian body.
"My God, it CAN'T be!" shouted Shindo.
"Arm missiles!" ordered Reed, the weapons officer. To cruise missiles took flight from their launchers, headed straight for the beast. They struck its hide with a huge flash, but the beast paid no notice. What's gone wrong with the world, thought Nulan. But as blue lightning danced up the beast's huge dorsal plates, Nulan released he would pobably never get his answer.
