The Belkan landers had been unloading all day. Hundreds of Imperial citizens were on busses and trains, headed for their new homes. Belkan Malus troops had been rounding up known dissidents for the past few weeks and taking them to a temporary base. 4,000 weapons and vehicles had been seized, and what little resistance remained was crumbling. In the new capital, Morov, the black flag of Belkaros flew. The new colony was less than 6 months from becoming a permanent bastion of the Belkan way of life.

They had been sailing for a few days now. Carry remembered her home, and what happned:
"Please, not the children!" screamed Carry, held back by the police.
"Don't worry, mam," said the officer, restraining 3 giggling children. "They're just going to a different boat."
Passing out, she watched the world fade into darkness as her children were pulled out the door.
It had been 7 days, and she was now rejuvenated, having seen her children over a webcam in the internet cafe. With her, all of the navy's surface ships were carrying about 1/2 a million citizens were being forcibly moved to New Shansekia. They were promised large plots of land if they chose not to life in New Shansek, the provincial capital, but she decided to live in the city. There, she could start a new life, possibly get a position of power. If she did it before the other 500,000 immigrants arrived.
