Bleaphk Government:
Officially: Federal Republic
In Reality: Federal Constitutional Monarchy with a strong Autocratic nature to it

The Bleaphk Government has two separate major branches of government; the Legislative and the Executive. A third, admittedly lesser branch, the Representative Branch, answers to the Legislature.

The Legislature is essentially the nation's law-making body. Officially known as the Bleaphk Congressional Committee (BCC), the Legislature is composed of the Blephki National House of Senators (BNHS), often referred to as the “Upper House”, and the Blephki National Delegation (BND), referred to as the “Lower House”.
The BNHS serves the upper classes, who can generally afford expensive campaigning. They are voted upon at a provincial level. As there are 6 provinces in Bleaphk, and each province votes upon 3 Senators, there are 18 Senators, one of which is then voted at a national level as the “Chief Senator” and the Head of the Legislature, all of the BCC.
The BND serves the middle classes. The delegates for the BND, Councilmen, rival for votes at a district level. There are 14 districts in Bleaphk, and one “federal district”. Each district may elect 2 Councilmen, except for the one Federal District, where 3 are allowed. There are 31 Councilmen.

The Representative Commune's official role in government is to be the balancing force between the Legislature and the Executor, because the Blephki Constitution ( Section Titled: ) Basic Principals and Guaranteed Properties of Government: Part IV states that in major decisions, which influence the well being of the nation (as decided my a majority vote by the Legislature or as indicated by a 1.5 year hold-up of power (meaning no decision can be reached between the Legislature and the Executor)), the Representative Commune should step in to ovverride whichever side does not truly represent the general will of the people, or the Representative Commune will decide in the best interests of the people. Unfortunately, the Representative Commune today often decides not by which politician's proposed bill is in Bleaphk's best interests, but by which politician has donated the most to their election commitees. The Representative Commune is made up of 50 Representatives, all seperated into "Party Houses" which vary year to year.

The Executive Power of Bleaphk is effectively the sole strictly federal-level power in the nation. Bleaphk’s Executor, Prime Minister Artur Henry, controls much of the nation. The Prime Minister serves 10-year terms (unless the entire BCC unanimously votes him out, only happening once in Blephki history,) and is elected after the old Prime Minister dies or his term expires. However, the Prime Minister does have to pass “Interim Elections” once every two years, and if the Prime Minister receives a 20% or less public approval rating, or if the BCC rates the Prime Minister with an approval rating of 25% or less, then a long proceeding begins as to whether or not to approve the Prime Minister’s value as a national leader. Rarely, though, is the Prime Minister “discontinued of service”. A Prime Minister issues titles of “Magistrate” to certain individuals whose jobs it is to represent him on more local levels, basically keeping the local legislatures and representative groups in check.

The Blephki government is essentially a strong autocrat who is constantly challenged by an element representing the people. It is essentially a republic, with a bit more power going to the autocrat than the representatives.

Blephki History:
The Federal Republic of Bleaphk traces it's beginning's back to the 1300's, when the Knights Templar and Knights Hospitalier were deemed heretics. Some of the Templars fled to Corsica, where they established a small kingdom for over 100 years. However, they were eventually chased off Corsica, leading them to flee to one place where old Christian Crusaders were still more or less popular, in Poland and Germany, under the remnants of the Teutonic Order. The knights founded a new kingdom here under their now head knight of the order, Sir Terscour Bleaphk. Bleaphk established a monarchy just in time to help fend off barbarian hordes, which, although they failed just as often as they warred off the raids, they were still much more effective at keeping it's people safe as the other rival kingdoms were, and so Bleaphk gained popularity.
In 1553, an internal revolution in Bleaphk lead to a slow national decline, until 1721, when the Great Northern War ended, and Bleaphk found itself on the losing side. This lead to several years of Bleahpki internal conflict, until 1799, when Bleaphk split into Bleaphk and Greater Bleaphk. Bleaphk was, through various unfair trestises and alliance offers, soacked up into the surrounding states of the day, annexed piece by piece. Greater Bleaphk, however, did manage to hold onto national sovereignty until 1940, when it was taken by force and declared a province of Austria under Hitler (who now controlled Austria). Hitler's troops put up with years of Blephki resistance movements, until 1945, when the last Nazi troops in Bleaphk surrendered to the Russians. Bleaphkis were thrilled, as shortly after Hitler's death and his troops surrender, Greater Bleaphk and Bleaphk combined into the Second Federal Republic of Bleaphk, a unity not obtained since they split in 1799. This unity was short lived however, for on June 12, 1945, the Blephki Central Government Building was stormed by Soviet troops. The capitalist government officials were round up and shot, thousands of other political "threats" to communism were also murdered. The Soviets put in place a puppet government until Soviet Russia collapsed in 1991, and Bleaphk claimed its autonomy. The Second Federal Republic had ended after only a few months.
The Third Federal Republic of Bleaphk began officially on October 8, 1992. The Thrid Republic, since then, has focused on rebuilding its Soviet oppressed nation. Because of its rich metal deposits, it could easily export huge quantities of raw metals.
With the money flowing in, and Blephkis tasting what good there was to this new capitalist lifestyle, the economy increased. Blephkis' poverty rates decreased dramatically, government reforms made sure there was work available to those who wished to work.
