This is a sign up thread for an upcoming practice war. As I have noticed many new players have an interest in war, but no interest in having their asses handed to them on a radioactive uranium platter; this war will be non-canon, having no lasting effect on your nation. Once it is over, it is basically like hitting the reset button.

And during the war, you are really at peace, and you can do with what you want your nation, you can hold diplomatic conferences, trade, etc, but there is no effects of this war on your nation out side of this thread and the IC thread where the war will actually happen. (This is just to sign up for the war)

Criteria for signing up:

• Population of less than 100 million at the time of sign up. No exceptions.
• A map (you may just clam a nation in real life, and more than one can claim the same nation as this is not an 'Earth' or you may of course make your own map)
• Some description of your military
• Some description of you nation (ie: government, structure, maybe a little history, nothing much, just a little something to give an idea of where you’re coming from.)

This is more or less a first come first serve basis for who gets in. By command of Surailia, there can only be two more participants for this war. I am asking for new players not puppets of old players, please. However, since this is a puppet of TFEI, I certainly don’t mind people making comments.

It should also be noted that this will also serve as the OOC comment thread during the war.

Geography: Surailia's is located in present day France, northern Italy and Spain and has a few islands in the Adriatic and Mediterranean seas as well as an island in the Caribbean

Economy: The surailian economy has boomed over the last couple years Causing a rise in the Suralian standard of life. So much so that large countries like china and Britain are asking for Uranium Refining and various Engineering contracts.

Government:

The Surailian Government Resembles the Papacy in the sense that the prime ministers of the five royal families from the 2 kingdoms within Surailia elect a chairman As Head of State(whom is Sworn in for life).

Most if not all Decisions are Made by the Chairman who is Head of most bodies of government (Supreme Court and Senate also)

Military

Due to the technological advancements made by the SRS Surailia's military (despite its small size) is quite powerful and well equipped, not to mention well trained.
Surailia is not unlike Israel in the sense that we are vicious to those who seem to oppose our cause...and for a small nation have a creepily good army

Government: Government is a parliamentary republic, with a president selected by the people from the sitting members of its parliament. The president is head of state and of government.

Military: The military is focused on airborne/airmobile operations, with minimal seapower The size of the military is currently three million active duty personnel, with the possibility of a total callup of eleven million.

I say a set-piece war zone that has already seen all of our nation's young blood already.

The Contested Territories of Komekong is an medium sized tropical jungle island. It reminds a lot of New Guinea (http://www.papuaweb.org/gb/peta/sat/ng-22k.jpg)

Komekong has a long military tradition, as the "official leader" is General Bam-In-Moon. The Komekong military is mostly made of huge amounts of cheap soldiers, "cannon-feeders" but also great numbers of easily built and maneuvered tanks and airplanes. The Komekong navy is very week, due to the last conflict it where in, resulting the loss of the entire fleet.

Komekong is ruled by The Company, the single business of the Island, which provides all from cheap food to security forces and military technology. The official government is the Military HQ, although this is directly ruled by The Company. The real leader of Komekong is Chief Executive Officer Kzel Koh-Braah, who rules the company and so also the nation.

The Most Serene Republic of Surallia has made it apparent that they have plans against our cause.” He paused for the words to sink in. The Costa Rican sun shown in the window of the lavish meeting room, it did not feel like the Sala de la Guerra, or War Room, that it was, it felt like a simple living space; white curtains hung over the windows and the room was filled with Swedish furniture. The off white walls gave the room a glow without being garish. A map of Tazia was framed on the wall, and a Tazian flag sat near the large plasma TV that broke up the walls and was the focal point of the room. “We must take action to secure our sovereignty. Naval assets are very limited though, civilian ships with guns, more or less, I have already ordered shore fortification through out the shorelines, missile batteries and sea mines are being set up as we speak. We may however, have them beaten in air power. We have kept our air force up to date by way of our alliance with our northern neighbors. I propose that we keep quiet, let them make the first move, until they do something drastic, say an embargo or sanctions, we can lay off, but get our military ready for a possible conflict.”

The "attack is scheduled 5 days earlier than expected....but I'm sure this will lead to a better reaction from you when you tell your nation that the Surailans need your help in securing the Tazian Union and their "Failed Government" and to "protect the world from this dangerous world power."

The Tazian Government denies any involvement with any attacks on Surallia, we have no aggression towards that nation, and we do not have any prior engagements with them. We would like to note that no force deployment orders were ever issued, nor is there any reason for us to attack the Surallians. To believe whoever framed such an attack is to support terrorists and to insult the great nation of Tazia.

The Telescreens all buzzed to call the attention of the population to inform the people about as what was now becoming a common term the "Tazian issue"

the prime minister walked up to the podium quite slowly and began with a sigh

Prime minister: My fellow Surailians, I personally got a letter today from the "president" of the Tazian union denying any involvement

either he is lying...or the government is running around like a chicken without a head the people are furious and without and control they will cause more harm to the rest of the world....in any case they must be stopped!

i cannot stress the fact that the Tazians cannot be trusted we have here the original footage from the attacks...tazian insignias on all of the weapons/debris/soldiers i can only thank god that we kept those few destroyers in the Caribbean otherwise the whole island would be lost.....*sniff *
