If there are are any nations who wish to allow us to open up our martial arts academy, which we call Obsdevars, please inform us in this thread of your interest.

It could be of great benefit for your soldiers and security forces as it is a type of university which concentrates upon the combat in all of its elements; as opposed to the traditional university which concentrates only upon the mind. Our Obsdevars concentrate upon the mind and the body. Our primary goal is to instill courage and eliminate fear.

If you have questions on any specifics, please do not hesitate to ask in one of the two postings. If your question is on the religion, the other post would be better. If your question is upon the academy itself, this post is fine.

The class offered by your government would be a sort of alternate view of combat techniques? We have had the pleasure to notice that some societies insist on separating the ruling party with its soldiery, is it the case with your society? We do teach to follow one's ranked superiors, if that is what you wish to instill in your new class?

OOC-->see the academy as a sort of shaolin type martial arts academy training thingie, but one of the differences is that the masters also analyze competing styles and find ways to implement the moves to create a blended martial art as well as teaching traditional styles. Also, note that weapons training is also implemented as high as your tech level allows. We don't introduce new tech, but if you have a unique weapon, then the Wawi would learn it as well as possible and then include it within the curriculum. My other thread does go into a bit more detail as to the martial arts stuff.

Some of the books used, would be a NationState equivalent of "The Book of Five Rings" by Miyamoto Musashi and "Tao of Jeet Kune Do" by Bruce Lee and even "Mastering Jujitsu" by Renzo Gracie. The academy will only focus upon solo fighting, nothing on small unit tactics or above. The students have to reach a certain level of expertise before other trainings are received. Naturally the main religious book would also be used as described in the other thread.

If your nation is considered modern tech, books included would be along the lines of "The Modern Technique of the Pistol" by Jeff Cooper and "Tactical Advantage: A Definitive Study Of Personal Small-Arms Tactics" by Gabriel Suarez. Anyways, you get the idea.

Another major component for the more gifted students is to encourage them to play abstract games like chess, shogi, go, pente... etc. If they do well in those, we may provide a scholarship for the student to come to our home country and teach them even more advanced skills which can also include small unit tactics and above. hope this answers your questions.

No, it's ninjitsu

ahh then we extend an invitation to compare notes with our Wasts (Warriors of Stealth), perhaps we can even enter some competitive events... like picking some nation at random and seeing who can enter on one end of the nation, travel by land through their territory and acquiring some objects that they find important and leave out of the other side without getting caught... and see who can do this the most stealthily and the quickest...

round 2 could be to bring back the objects and returning it without getting caught... I'm sure our trainers and your trainers could come up with suitable competition. The winners get to train the losers for a week in the new techniques that made the winners more efficient.

What's your civil war about? Maybe we could help by sending in combat medics?

The academies often requires huge land tracts as well to allow field exercises and sometimes a huge warehouse complex that can simulate different buildings for lasertag matches or paintballing or whatever for small unit tactics when the student becomes advanced enough.

Remember with the training for combat also comes a philosophy of bravery. Many fight others because they have a fear of others, that is where bullies come from: they fear the little guy will get him if he isn't put down in his place. This Wawa allows a person to be wise about when to fight. They do not start a fight, but they definitely finish one efficiently.
