The scene opens in an elegant ballroom within the United Nations Building. The ballroom floor is solid oak that has been polished until it shines like a mirror. The walls are made of polished gray marble split into several eight foot sections by pillars. The pillars are made of oak, three foot wide, and are a semicircle with the flat surface attached to the wall. The exquisite crystal chandelier in the center of the room, suspended from the ceiling combined with the two-branch candelabras attached to the top of each wall section gives the room elegance. The light coming from these fixtures leaves not shadows in the room. There are three entrances from the room on the South, West and East. The doors are identical made of maple with silver United Nations Logos engraved into each door.
Look from the south entrance and panning east to west, there are three sections of seventy-five steel chairs. All chairs are facing north. Two red carpeted isles run north and south dividing the three sections. The far left section of chairs is occupied by reporters, camerapersons, government officials, and dignitaries from the Republic of ChristianFlorissant. Suspended from the ceiling above this section are five two-flag sets of the Republic of ChristianFlorissant. The center and far right sections are similarly made up with flags about for the Republic of The Christian Army and the Republic of Kablookeystan respectively.
At the north end of the room beyond the sections of chairs is a two step rise with a long polished maple table on top. Behind the table are three chairs spaced evenly apart with a chair facing each of the section of chairs on the lower floor. One the wall behind the chairs is the flags of the three nations, from left to right, ChristianFlorissant, The Christian Army, and Kablookeystan.
The anthem of the Republic of ChristianFlorissant, “I Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb” by Ray Boltz, begins playing over the PA system. Everyone in the room stands as the procession from ChristianFlorissant comes slowly in through the west entrance. Minister of State Elrabin Kelth, in a black suit is flanked by ChristianFlorissant's United Nations delegates, Borsk Fey'Lya and Sparkplug Witwicky. Following Delegates Fey'Lya and Witwicky is the new ambassador to Kablookeystan, Thomas Oliver, and the new ambassador to Christian Army, Iris Cobb. The last person in the group is an attendant carrying a leather portfolio with the Republic of ChristianFlorissant Seal on the surface and a golden seal stamp. Minister Kelth pulls back the chair facing his nation's section and stands at the table awaiting the other delegations.
