Hidden Conflict in Kubra?

Citizens in Kubra have been talking about strange ocurrences happening everywhere within the country. Just last night citizens reported a helicopter transporting troops into an Office Building owned by Kubras top messaging service provider, Kurbanai Co. Witnesses to this possible attack state shards of broken glass would fall and they could hear faint pops coming from the building which gradually grew louder, but not to much degree. An audio recording of the event picked up these pops, which gun experts claim to be the sound of silenced weapons when discharged. When the popping stopped everything was calm for a bit, then another helicopter came and picked men up from the roof before KLE officers blocked off the area for investigation. The KLE however, have refused comment.

This is not new for Kubrans. All over the country similar events have been taking place, ranging from simple murders to highly organized raids. Only the other night a man was shot dead in his home with a single bullet wound and helicopters were spotted leaving a warehouse which was also blocked off by KLE officers. However, all these incidents have not been disclosed by Police or Government organizations and they have so far refused comment, other than one stating that these incidents may be the result of organized crime. However, experts say that organized crime isn't well, organized enough for such tasks. This has only been blostered by the statement of a man who claims to have witnessed the transpired events within the warehouse.

"I was just there on a dare", says our unnamed witness. "The warrhouse was supposed to be abandoned, none of us ever saw anything going on in there. There were stories of it being haunted or something, so I went in on a dare. Then I heard voices and quickly hid inside and old steel barrel. I couldn't hear what was going on, but it sounded serious and these guys had guns, so I didn't come out. They didn't just have guns, either. They were loaded with other military stuff, like those night visions goggles and grenades and stuff. Then some other guys came in with guns too and started shooting up the place. Pretty soon it was over and the invaders swept the place for bullet cover thingies and took the bodies to god knows where. After they had left I sorta just stayed there for a bit before I heard police sirens, I figured I had to run. Everything past that is a bit fuzzy".

"Although the witness did not give a very detailed description of the event, we at least know that these attacks are not the result of organized crime", says an expert. "If the men in these story did indeed have paramilitary equipment then it would mean that they must be backed by a rich entity, especially if they had helicopters capable of transporting squads of armed gunmen. Also, with the lack of results from Government and Police officials one could assume they're keeping a few things from us. For all we know they could be in on the entire thing".

Others, however, remain sceptical about government involvement in a hidden wqar. "Our armed Forces are still rebuilding", says one such person. "Our military industry was decimated by the past demilitarization. I doubt those guns we obtained from Soviet Arms came with silencers. Also, our officer ranks are still limited, most of which are pretty low on training. We don't have the leadership currently for any form of professional attacks. Hell, our veteran officers still think season shots are an effective cartridge. Professionalism in the military died a long time ago and it's only been a year or 2 since we started remilitarizing our armed forces, we simply don't have the ability to fight even minor conflicts".

So recently a reporter of ours was able to ask a government official about possible military involvment. The official scoffed "Our last civil war involved us throwing bullets seasoned with spices at the enemy. Do you really think we could fight with any organization whatsoever at this point in time?". The official brings up a very good point. However, as it is not confirmation of no government involvement whether or not this officials word holds any water remains to be seen.
