Cancun Peninsula
The Sniper was well trained. After all Jaguar training was the Special Forces, perhaps the Mokan Equivalent of Green Berets, or Navy Seals. Through his scopes he could see the outline of the Great Tourist attractions of Cancun. Alfegos troops were forming up along with Mokan troops to push the Independents back into Mejico, but thats why the Shock Divisions were sent up. Both Divisions were forming up on the sides of the city, and for the sake of maps had surrounded it. He looked around the formations. Looking for target or information.

Field Sargent, Captain, Private, Private First Class, Corperal, Staff Sargent, Private, Division Colonel,

wait what was he doing here? There was only one Division assigned to Cancun and apparently here was its commander.

He sighted in, checked wind speed. His Breath slowed. His spotter kept an eye on the target. and looking for escorts or retaliation forces....

his breath slowed....

No counter attacks that they couldnt outrun or hide from...

his finger squeezed the trigger... and all he saw was the pink mist of a kill

Just a lil nitpick. (http://z4.invisionfree.com/NSDraftroom/index.php?showtopic=1357)

Assasinations would be more of a job for a regular military sniper, not spec-ops. Unless you have a severe manpower/security shortage and really distrust your line infantry.

But then some loyal security troops/secret police like the CIA or KGB would do that...
In more correct and blunt terms, death squads (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_squad).

-Green berets aren't really considered the Uber-marksmen of the military. They're moreso multi-cultral tacticians capable of jump starting a successful army training program. (IOWs, ppl who can be drill sgts for both their own armies and their enemies')

-SEALs are the Navy's way of stamping their name on a successful land-op, and to knock out and recon coastline defenses.

-Marine Force Recon and Army Rangers, they're probers, they go deep long and hard, while trying not to get too cut off from the main lines or an evac site.

-USAF-SF, most self-sacrificing of them all for the sake of pilots who make mistakes. They're kinda like what erasers are to pencils.

We wish to help the nation of Mejico in their time of need. We will send supplies as well as soldiers and trainers to make sure Mokastana will fall. The Indonesian force will land on the west coast of Mejico, nearest to Mejico City. I suggest that we capture the city of Santa Villa, to gain land and get good support from the southern people of Mokastana.

Indonesian states, just so you know, there is a pro-confederate Lyran Task Force situated in the Caribbean, and personnel landing just to the north of the mouth of the Rio Grande.

This is the OOC and sign-up thread... put your actual movements in the IC thread... so I can beat you up :P

it was more a target of opportunity then assassination, and yes the Independents are disorganized. Think Vietnam, the only differnce between the independets and Confederates are loyalties, some Independents will be in the Confederate camps and vice versa...

as for the reference....Jaguars are like Rangers....to an extent

We have standard infantry, aka the conscripts and professional soldiers
Jaguars, aka well trained professional soldiers, men who know how to operate both in theatre comabt as well as squad based operations, a lot like rangers.
and Jaguar Elites, Special operations, some trained for behind enemy lines combat, such as bridge blowing and supply line sabotages.

HINT:
Recruitment for troops from central America is difficult for both sides, though they will respond well to money, since many served under warlords and now would like to become mercs.

So the fact that I'm sending 15 HOI mercenaries to recover a number of dead bodies and show just how good the corprate warlord style has it would be a very bad thing eh?
