VAM Armored Personnel Carrier Series
http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/6138/vamworkshow3doomcolorsfz7.png
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v383/Doomingsland/vamiishow1ni21.png
Top to bottom: VAM.I and VAM.II armored personnel carriers.
Overview and History
The VAM series of armored personnel carriers, along side the MAD.II main battle tank, served as the mainstay of Doomani mechanized forces starting in the 1960s, well into the 1990s. It is a tracked, twenty-four ton steel-hulled vehicle capable of carrying up to twelve fully equipped dismounts. As with the MAD.II, the VAM saw extensive export and can be found in great quantities within the armies of various 3rd and 2nd world countries.
Entering service in 1965 to fill a serious gap in the Doomani military, which lacked a dedicated armored personnel carrier up until that time, the vehicle was mass produced in numbers that rivaled the MAD.II, and as a result many can still be found. The VAM.I, the first vehicle of the series, is easily distinguishable from other versions due to its lack of a turret. The VAM.I featured the VAM series' basic, mainstay hull: decently armored and weighing in at fifteen tons, the vehicle is somewhat resistant to non-AP 12.7mm ammunition from the front and impervious to non-AP 7.8mm all around.
The VAM.I was armed with a single pintle-mounted 15.7x131mm Maurus Model 1949 heavy machinegun and featured no optics or electronics whatsoever, save for a radio. The vehicle features eight hatches; one hatch for the commander/gunner, another for the driver, and six dismount hatches that allow for infantry personnel to ride with the personnel compartment's roof up. This facilitates firing from the vehicle while mounted as well as giving the infantry the option of allowing fresh air into the compartment. The VAM.I's powerplant was a Republican Motors 550 Horsepower Water-Cooled V12 Diesel, capable of being used to create a smokescreen. In addition, the VAM.I featured full NBC protection. The VAM.I was the most widely produced of the VAM variants.
Combat experience resulted in the creation of the VAM.II, an up-armored, up-gunned version of the VAM.I, entering service in 1974. The VAM.II featured the same hull as the VAM.I and could be applied as a field-upgrade. The upgrade consisted of bolt-on applique armor that could be applied to the front, sides, and rear, allowing for the vehicle to resist 12.7mm AP on the front as well as 7.8x63mm AP on the sides and rear door. The most striking feature of the VAM.II is the presence of an all-electric mini-turret housing its Maurus HMG as well as a pintle-mounted Coluber ATGM.
The turret itself features a 2-10x optical sight with infrared filtering for the commander to allow for more accurate engagement of targets. This same optical sight is designed to be used in tandem with a pintle-mounted Coluber ATGM, acting as the sighting system for the missile and interfacing directly with the weapon's launch control system. An improved radio and crew intercom system are also included, as well as an infrared searchlight mounted to the turret. Another distinguishing feature of the VAM.II is the engine's snorkel system, which allows for superior fording ability. Finally, two four-cell smoke grenade launchers are mounted to the turret to improve countermeasures.
The VAM.I and VAM.II vehicles would see additional service and upgrades as VAM.IIIs and VAM.IIIMs. Unfortunately RKEI is not authorized to export these upgraded items.

MAD.II "Thunderhorse" Main Battle Tank (Model 1963)
http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/1023/madiitankcoloreddoombv2.png
Overview
The MAD.II main battle tank, nicknamed unofficially "Thunderhorse," entered service with the armed forces of the Res Publica Doomanus in the year 1963 AD, phasing out the ancient MAD medium tank that had remained in service since 1941. The MAD.II was built to take punishment and as a result, many original models still remain in service in many third world countries. The sheer reliability of the design had ensured that even after fifty years of service, they continue to function as originally designed.
The MAD.II originally sported a Doomingsland Defense Industries 105mm L/44 rifled gun as well as a coaxial 7.8x63mm Maurus 3M2 medium machinegun, and a roof-mounted 15.7x131mm AAMG. Also included are two four-cell 82mm smoke grenade launchers. Weighing in at forty-four tons, the MAD.II is propelled by a V12 800 horsepower water-cooled diesel engine (it should also be noted that the engine is capable of being used to produce a smoke screen). Optics include a commander's periscope, a gunner's telescope sight (w/infrared filter) as well as an infrared searchlight for the gunner to improve night engagement. NBC filtration systems are included on later production models of the MAD.II (those most commonly found in service with 3rd world countries)
An internal intercom system as well as a short-range radio are also included with the MAD.II, allowing for a certain degree of force integration. A command version of the tank, the MAD.IIC, features a more powerful radio to allow it to communicate up the chain of command, is distinguishable from other models via the large radio antenna protruding from the rear of the turret. In 1979, the MAD.IIA and MAD.IIAC variants were introduced, these versions introducing first-generation explosive reactive armor and a number of additions in terms of optics and sensor equipment; on top of these improvements, a 115mm L/45 smoothbore gun was added to replace the 105mm rifled gun, vastly increasing the lethality of the vehicle.
Overall, it is an inexpensive, easily-produced design, and as a result hundreds of thousands were proliferated, most notably to the continent of Karain through what was then the province of Nobatica. It is also believed that the Imperium Doomanum has somewhere in the area of half a million vintage MAD.II tanks sitting in dry storage in case of an emergency. Doomingsland Defense Industries currently offers an upgrade package for the MAD.II, the MAD.IIM (designated CM when applied to the C variant, AM when applied to A variant, etc.), which includes full ERA protection, a modernized DDI 115mm L/45 smoothbore gun, as well as a full upgrade for electronics and force integration systems, including modern radios, GPS systems, a laser range finder, and forward looking infrared, as well as provisions for the use of gun-launched ATGMs. The MAD.IIM is also capable of being fitted with an active protection system.

MAD.IIK UPGRADE
http://img360.imageshack.us/img360/2776/coloredmadiikzn3.png
Now in COLOR!
The MAD.IIK Inka Main Battle Tank is the People's Republic of Kak Khemet's domestic variant of the MAD.II. The MAD.IIK improves on the MAD.II by offering a number of additional features:
1. Enhanced Solar Protection System- This system protects the vehicle commander and other exposed crew from the sun's harmful rays by utilizing an advanced fabric sunshade. It also helps prevent rainfall, bird droppings, and the occasional grenade [if thrown at a high angle] from soiling the commander, his seat, or the interior of the tank.
2. Additional Forward Armor- This system provides enhanced protection to the tank from a narrow frontal arc, only a few degrees from top to bottom, by utilizing a network of sandbags to prevent shrapnel, rocks, and other minor items from potentially harming the driver. The driver, however, cannot see the forward arc with the system present, and must remain unbuttoned to properly view the battlefield. This partially defeats the purpose, and the driver must also be aware of the barrel of the main gun, lest he hit his head on it.
3. Advanced Crew Protection and Flotation Device- This is a bright orange life vest designed to offer some buoyancy to a dispatched crewmember if they happen to be in the water. If not, it is often used as an improvised piece of body armor.
4. Nutritional Rations Storage- A bag of dog food is strapped to the hull.
5. Foot Sole Protection Unit- A tennis shoe is provided to protect one foot of one crewmember, usually the most senior member of the crew, when they disembark from the tank. When not in use, the tennis shoe provides a handy small storage space, and also acts as a deterrant to nearby enemy soldiers or civilians who may plan on attacking the vehicle when thrown.
6. Applique Armor- A dismantled cardboard box, and an extra one, are provided so that they can be duct taped [duct tape not included due to shortages] to the hull to cover up battle-inflicted damages or supplement existing armor. All cardboard boxes are of number one quality having been manufactured in various first world nations where they were graciously sent to the People's Republic of Kak Khemet to be used as applique armor.
7. Ambient Atmosphere Enhancer- This system provides for enjoyable scents to waft through the air and provide comfort and sanctility to the crew during operations or downtime. It also acts as a deterrant to certain birds.
8. Entrenchment Apparatus- This shovel allows the crew to accomplish multiple tasks: entrenching of the tank, getting the tank unstuck, burying each other, or the crews of other tanks, due to malnutrition, providing a blunt-force weapon for defense/hunting, or a myriad of other tasks. Unfortunately, the shovel does not have a handle, as all shovels with handles have been preserved for units whose sole priority is gravedigging.

MACT.V Venator Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft Gun
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v383/Doomingsland/spaag-1.png
Overview
The MACT.V entered service in 1965 as Res Publica's standard frontline self-propelled air defense system, providing the armored spearhead with an effective defense against enemy low-level aircraft. In addition, it was discovered that the vehicle's armament was especially effective against enemy personnel and soft-skinned vehicles and as a result has remained a favorite in the armies of many 3rd world countries.
The MACT.V is built on top of a MAD.II tank chassis and is a full turret upgrade, with all hull systems remaining virtually the same. With the MACT.V, an all-electric turret sporting a pair of 37x312mm gast guns (each putting out some 2,100 rounds per minute), feeding from a pair of six-hundred round helical magazines, is added. Targetting systems include an X-band RADAR mounted to the roof of the vehicle, as well as a commander's telescope sight (w/ infrared filter). The gunner is equipped with an electronic aiming sight that interface's with the vehicle's on board RADAR, automatically adjusting for range and speed to aid the gunner in calculating an effective lead.
The gunner's sight features 5-50x magnification as well as an infrared filter, which, when coupled with the vehicle's on-board infrared search light, allows for enemy aircraft to be illuminated during night time engagements.

Notes:
The DP-21E is the oft-forgotten export sibling of the DP-21A/G series of fighter aircraft, and retains little relation to the original model. In fact, the DP-21E is only outfitted with the equipment absolutely necessary for operations in the air, and even this is limited. Its only “export” was to the People’s Republic of Kak Khemet, who only received the equipment after discovering them at an abandoned airfield. In reality, the supposed DP-21E was not an export version of the DP-21A/G but rather they were the airframes with all sensitive electronics removed and the remainder of the avionics removed [and placed in other airframes] and replaced with elderly avionics systems from aging aircraft. All of the “DP-21E” airframes were slated for target testing of numerous types of air-to-ground munitions and their effectiveness on the airframes in the open, under light cover, and within hangar-bunkers. Not long after their placement at an abandoned airfield in some remote landmass, they were promptly stolen by the People’s Republic of Kak Khemet, whose leader, the enigmatic General Nthato Motlana Mbutu Kamiri Je Nubo Koro III, convinced his people that the aircraft were manifested there by his own unique powers. The Air Force of the Armed Republic never attempted to locate the missing airframes.
In Kak Khemeti service, the DP-21E has seen little to no active duty. Pilots often complain about the aircraft’s lack of offensive firepower in ground operations, often doing little visible damage to a target using its bombs. They, however, do not realize they are using inert training bombs – the only type of munitions in their inventory. The pilots, however, universally praise the DP-21E’s advanced ejection system, and on most of the two seater models present, the RIO/WSO/Trainee will often eject during a training mission simply for the thrill. This has lead to the People’s Republic’s National Air Force being the number one consumer of ejection seats on the Karain continent. In fact, most air frames in service with the PRKKNAF have been subjected to several ejections and it is not unheard of for pilots, upon their aircraft hitting a bump or experiencing turbulence on the runway to simply eject. Pilots are not reprimanded but are encouraged due to the valuable experience it provides in ejection procedures. In Kak Khemeti service, not a single DP-21E has been downed, or even engaged, by enemy action even though the Kak Khemeti National Air Force has been in at least four documented engagements. In one of the cases, the lone DP-21E attempted to flee before going of control, recovering, going out of control a second time, and then fleeing successfully. The opposing aircraft disengaged when it was apparent the DP-21E was going to crash, not realizing that the pilot was attempting to eject but couldn’t actuate the ejection mechanism, forcing him to regain control of his aircraft. This happened several times. In the remaining three instances, the pilots ejected as soon as an enemy was reported in the area.

The Tyrannical Mandalorian Empire would like to inquire upon the Domestic Production Rights of the MACT.V Venator Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft Gun. If, however, we cannot acquire these rights then we will purchase 10,000 of these vehicles for $1.3 Billion USD to use for our colonial forces.

Unfortunately we can not provide to you the production rights due to licensing agreements. We can only sell production rights to the GZ150, GZ700, and DP-21E units. However, we will fulfill your order of ten thousand MACT.V units. Production will begin at this time and proceed until all of the units have been delivered. Comrade Kerenzikov looked at the email in front of him, showing in clear white-on-black letters on his Lynx browser window. Clearly, that was what he needed – a new way forward, a way to bring the Glorious Red Army into full combat strength. With these arms, he knew, the GRA would soon grow to be a power to be feared, a power that woul even shake the Jaredcohenians – those Zionist scumbags! - in their banking chairs. Yes! Yes! The International Jew would soon shudder in fear of the People's Republic! Soon it would come!
Kerenzikov moaned in anticipation as he dictated his letter, the anticipation of the enhanced military might a near-sexual experience to him.
“We need – Ah! Ah! - Nyalas! Ten – Oooh! - thousand Nyalas! And – Ah! Oh YEAAAH! - fifty thousand Thunderhorses – OH FUCKING YEAH SO AWESOME! - and we will – AAAAH – pay six point five billion dollars for that gear – YEAH THIS IS SO GREAT!”
His secretary pretended not no notice as she typed up the letter, made it sound official, and sent it off.

"Greetings,
To fill our necessary quota on exports, we are prepared to offer a 50% discount on the VAM.I, VAM.II and MAD.IIK items. We will also recommend GZ150 and GZ700 for civilian market potential. Both vehicles serve in civilian capacity in Kak Khemet and elsewhere in Karain where their ruggedness, reliability, and performance are prized. We would be open to negotiations with another exporter or dealer on finding the GZ150 and GZ700 a home for civilian export. Thank you for considering Royal Karain Export Industries."

The Holy Empire of Mon Kye En is interested in the acquisition of 1000 MAD.IIK Thunderhorse+ main battle tanks to replace our current tanks which are sorely laking in solar protection. However prior to purchase we must confirm that the tank has snorkel capability.

"The Holy Empire of Mon Kye En,
Your order for 1,000 MAD.IIKs have been confirmed, and due to our sale on them, you will receive them at half price. This tank does have snorkel ability and, as its description entails, a life preserver as well should mistakes occur. As you stated, the solar protection on this tank is second to none, and if used properly we predict that very few of your tank commanders will develop skin cancer or sun burn as a result of their service in our tank. This can not be said about all other tanks which haphazardly expose their crew to one of their most dangerous opponents, it is a shame that companies like them can continue to have no regard for human life.
Thank you for your order, production will begin immediatly with delivery following shortly. We appreciate your business."
