Bridge of CSS Aisoleahcim, Flagship of Michaelosian CTG-1
Oceania Colossus

Aisoleahcim and her sister vessels in CTG-1 were a unique breed of Michaelosian ships in that they were the only Michaelosian ships. Bought only about a year ago, this carrier task group was an important experiment, and their success today would either make or break the future of the Michaelosian Navy. If the group, under command of Rear Admiral Nohj Gninnam aboard was successful in the arranged war game with Velkyan ships, it was most likely that all carrier task groups would be based on the $50 billion CTG-1. If they were unsuccessful, they would be hailed as an excessively expensive disaster, and most of the blame would fall on Gninnam. Such a massive amount of pressure was no small thing, and Gninnam's face bore every ounce of that weight as he addressed his bridge crew.

"Alright men. I can't stress enough the importance of your mission today. While the weapons aren't live, the outcome of this battle may very well mean our jobs and the future of the CTG prototype. Frigates establish picket formation, destroyers on the outer shell, I want all ASW measures active. Submarines on patrol outside the picket line, and Aisoleahcim, Namwen, and Ecapsym are to provide air support. Aisoleahcim will be responsible for CAP fighters, while the other two will primarily support the outer shell in ASW, as well as cover for the inner shell."

He looked about the command post, and was satisfied with the amount of men that had gone straight to relaying his commands as soon as he had finished speaking. Perhaps one year was enough time to have prepared for the first Michaelosian naval engagement in history, even if it was just with lasers and fancy computers.
