Pic I dug up on DeviantArt (http://dangeruss.deviantart.com/art/Flak-Walker-44640520)
Flak WalkerMark I
After the creation of the Walking Machine by a subsidiary of the John Deere company, it was a forgone conclusion someone, at some point, would make a military application. Naturally, of course, it was the Allaneans who fell in love with the mis-shapen concept of walking AA vehicles.
So was born the Flak Walker Mark I. The vehicle is lightly armored – in fact, barely armored at all – and slow as all get-out. It has only one crewmember, the driver, controlling the vehicle through DNI. The idea is to get Flak Walkers into inaccesible forest and mountain areas where conventional flak vehicles or anti-armor vehicles cannot reach, and camp there with the 25mm autocannon and .50-caliber coax.
The vehicle is considered useless by most first-world militaries, but the Allanean DREAD unit has fallen in love with it and is trying to persuade the Army proper to adopt it.
Speed: 25 mph
Range:250 miles
Weight: 1.5 tons unloaded, 2.1 tons full combat weight
Unit Cost: $150,000
Unlimited DPR: $10 billion.
OOC: I saw the pic on DeviantArt and just HAD to do it.
