In the deep blue waters of the Endopacific Ocean, lies the lush, subtropical island of Sondara. Covered in uniquely mixed forests of subtropical conifers, as well as palm trees, and with deposits of iron, bauxite, rubidium, corundum, cobalt, and other minerals, this island was ripe for colonization. As per a previous agreement between the United States of Zoingo and the Sovereign Kiravian Colonial Empire, the island was to be jointly settled by the two nations, and governed as a condominium.

Island Statistics

Area: 151,215 km²

Climate: Humid Subtropical, Alpine in some of the higher mountain areas.

Topography: Mountainous interior, with cascadic coastal incline of clay, sand, and eroded mountain material base. 2 active, low-intensit volcanoes in the interior.

Vegetation: Suptropical Coniferous Forest predominant, infused with populations and scattered specimens of the Endopacific Palm Tree. Palm forests heavier in the south.

Rescources: Iron, Bauxite, Rubidium, Corundum, Cobalt, Coal, Flrourite, Pyrite, Diopside, Hydropower, Suspected Natural gas in the oceans.

Population: 12,000 Agricultural Age non-intensive rotating farming peoples of Maylay stock. Language similar to Palauan.

Exploration: Circumnavigated by the Imperial Navy in 2701(Cosciv Calendar), Small prospecting expedition by the British in 2788, revisited by the K.E. in 2942(last year, by Cosciv Calendar)

As for naming convention, the original intention was to name it the Sondara Colony, but you may call it whatever you wish.

The Brittonian observers are free to come. You need not worry for their sake, though. Under Section 12 of the Colonialism Act of the Imperial Senate, the natives are to be allowed to retain their land, human rights, self-governance, and culture, in cases such as these. Natives of the Kiravian colonies are always treated with honour, and are granted 5th-level Imperial Citizenship.

Ehm..Surailia, the island isn't for sale. Zoingo and I are colonizing it as a condominium. You can, as I mentioned in the telegrams, settle it under Kiro-Zoingan jurisdiction with Municipal autonomy.

NB, feel free to send your Red Crystal personnel whenever. I'll get a map up soon, showing the locations of the native villages.

To the Zoingo Colonization Company:

Again, thank you for your interest. Here is a list of supplies that you will most likely need.

⃟Water. Our meteorologists have determined that the island's summers provide insufficient rainfall to sustain more than the existing population.

⃟Construction Equipment and Prefabs

⃟Ethynol or other fuel

⃟Agricultural Equipment & CHemicals

⃟Mining Equipment

⃟Vehicles

⃟Medical Supplies- The last expedition determined that Sondara is malaria-free. However, West Nile and other insect-borne illnesses are present in the area's rivers and wetlands.

You posted a proposed map. It's Mine/Zoingo's land. You need to have us accept and get paid before you go landing people there. If you did that to BL or Stevid, your nation would be turned into radioctive cheese by now. Especially sending military. You need to be careful with that.

The ships docked at the makeshift docks, apparently, they were quite stable, and the colonists unloaded, and began to chop down trees, erect the tents, and began working on a town square. The chief architects went to a table that was set up, and looked over the Zoingonain plans for the city.

24-11-2007, 02:54
The Zoingan flag and the Imperial flag were posted aside each other at the edge of the cleared area.

Austran Pinefield, a Kiravian urabnographer, sat with the architects and engineers at the table, making suggestions and revisions to the plan.

"What about defencive walls for the city?" he asked?

Seems agreeable. Only two points we must press:

We are not allowing settlement of the South Island. It is intended as a nature reserve, and only park rangers will be allowed to settle there.

What is GENESIS? We must know if we're to allow it to be used on our soil and water.
Surailia
24-11-2007, 03:13
well chariman Gaultier belives that war and conquest is a verry human thing....but we keep killing things that need not be killed

in essence project genesis is a multi billion dollar project in finding less damaging way to kill every one ....and other small projects

some of the projects that will take place on the north shores water base will be:

Gamma ray PRJ
Neutron jamming
Nexus technology
and a confidential project that is under the same name as GENESIS

now i have a small fleet outside of the islands borders can we hurry up this decision?
Kirav
24-11-2007, 03:29
The Kiravian Empire cannot allow a genocidal project to take place within our borders. If you must develop such a weapon, then annex a little atoll in the middle of nowhere to do it at. Testing here would endanger the Kiro-Zoingan colonists and the local wildlife.
Surailia
24-11-2007, 03:43
ONLY one of them is actually a weapon : (Gamma ray PRJ)

Neutron jamming - is an anti nuke project
Nexus technology -is part of our space program
LEVEL 5CONFIDENTIAL

we are testing the island growing tecnology of project genesis
that is all we can tell you
Zoingo
24-11-2007, 03:47
Zoingo will not let any projects like this inhabit any island that is strictly for settlement, profit, and to expand culture and civilization into this side of the globe, therefore, we ask for the expedition to be sent back, before force by our navy is used.
Surailia
24-11-2007, 04:04
the need for a secluded area to research is 100% necessary i can assure you that there will be no interruption in the way of life of the peoples of the island and the perfection of Neutron Jamming could eradicate the use of nuclear attacks all over the world--if it succeeds and it is at a safe distance from the shore that it would not hurt anyone if gone badly (with a failsafe of 100billion dinara)

We still would not want said opperation on the island with such catostrophic possibilites. Do you even know of what could happen if the Neutron Jamming goes wrong? The entire island would encounter a searies of fades and losses of the exotic life that exists on the island. In addition, this entire island would be deemed uninhabitable. So still no.

Pinefield, the Kiravian urbanographer, assisted the Zoingans in planning the city. Meanwhile, a group of warriors from the nearby village of Tangas watched from a distace. This was the second time that the strange Kiravian tribe had visited the island. And now they had brought another tribe with them? Possibly they were like the Haylay tribe from the Old Lands, that conquered and assimilated the smaller tribes, forcing them to flee to this island, Saonar'a. The newcomers must be watched.

The ships were finished unloading, and with them, a small detachment of armed soilders, they were here to strictly protect the colony, and to not venture out into the unknown. The basework of a couple citizen's houses was coming up out of the ground, and the main avenue of the city was spread with cobblestone provided from the ships. From there, they would sail to Martaniqua to pick up crop seeds that were found sutable for the island.

The planners at the table agreed with Pinefield on the defensive issues.

"Now, as soon as the ship from Martaniqua returns, we can set up crops to start growing, and we will need some sort of govenor building to oversea the colony." one of them suggested.

"Sounds good," he said, pulling out a topographic map of the area. "There is a suitable hill over here," he pointed at a group of concentric rings on the map, "I think that the hill structur is stable enough."

Meanwhile, the pre-planned areas of the city went up around the planners. Small houses, paths, storage buildings, and many tents were erected.
