I believe that there is no time for discussion and no matter that the construction cooperatives boom and the floating cities have managed to keep the issue under control , the urban expansion threatens our food production as available land for skyscrapers is becoming rarer and rarer and criminality is raising as an indirect consequence. Immediate action must be taken and I suggest, considering the economic surplus of our country, buying land from other nations as an emergency solution to our density problems. I suggest we make contact with the world through the Internet now.

Vascos, I am aware of the condition our nation has been suffering, but I suggest we take into consideration other possibilities before putting such matter into a referendum. The Third States Engineering has proposed a very interesting and ambitious project which will make us independent from the will of the international community to provide land for sale. The Arcology Project offers the next generation of urban engineering and will allow us to live by the millions comfortably in a much smaller area than typical urban conglomerates, plus with much better environmental conditions. I suggest funding the already proven TS Engineering to initiate their project. Though expensive, it still will have a much higher cost-benefit than buying foreign territories.

Greetings comrades from VolGov! I am happy to know there are still people using responsibly all their political rights to help our true democracy to progress in the middle of so much apathy. I analyzed your suggestions and concluded that both have significant drawbacks. First I'll take into consideration the suggestion of buying land. There are two big issues regarding that.

One: in the context of the delicate geopolitical world of today, and considering our revolutionary origin as a "dangerous example" to the western "democracies", it won't be easy to locate nations willing to trade land with us.

Two: Any overseas territory will bring new logistic and communication complications and will be in a vulnerable situation. As we still have not launched our satellites, it will put us under the dependency of private broadcasting multinationals to transmit information to it, which is anything but desirable. Plus there are probably other issues other comrades would be glad to discuss and point but which I have forgotten.

Then it comes to the Third States Engineering project. Know this, I have no doubts about the moral integrity of its members, but it wouldn't be wise to entrust the most important issue of the Confederacy to a single company, as it would give them immense political power, and I doubt they would remain in moral integrity and not attempt to corrupt our nation back into a plutocratic capitalist "democracy" because I believe power inevitably corrupts. Should we let the key of our future in the hands of a single cooperative corporation? I don't think so, plus the proposed Arcology is something that I consider to be vaporware created as a tool of marketing and most scientists are skeptic about its practicality . But then, what remains for our people?

I propose for us to reap immediately the benefits of the pressure chambers technology developed last year for deep sea mining. Rather than entrusting megalomaniac structures like arcologies without any scientific foundation, I propose using our knowledge on sea life and ecology and floating cities creation to build underwater metropolises. Absurd you would say? But unlike the Arcology project, the technology to build underwater cities is publicly available and like it, it has a much higher cost-benefit than buying foreign territories. All we would require then would be a little amount of foreign aid to boost the construction process, but nothing that we couldn't do by ourselves if necessary. I know of the limitations and that it will require a heftier funding on our Navy due to the vulnerabilities of such type of city, but I believe it's the best of all choices as it doesn't put Third Spanish States under the mercy of any foreign or national organization. Also, make this discussion under voting on whether the International Community should be aware of our issues or not, if approved let this discussion show on the Internet for other nations to make their territory offers, should the people approve the acquisition of them. I'm sure some ideologically close nations might be willing to help too, so let's poll it!
