The culture of the Empire is based upon the harsh winters and long standing history of wars in the region. The official language is German and the people live in a system of control based on centralized organization and administration. The people are good study people that rely upon the Imperial troops as the police force.
Army:
The Shakal army is very small and relies on its standing soldiers to support it. Auxilla troops are men that work year round but can be called on as reliable troops in a war which breaks the professional army. They provide the garrison troops for the cities to hold them before the main army arrives. It also relies on mercenary forces for its Cavalry.
The Professional Army Is Organized Into 3 Different Groups:
-Heavy Infantry: Well Armored Pikemen, Well Trained, Useful Against Cavalry
Numbers: 9,200
-Light Infantry: Lightly Armored Crossbowmen, Well Trained
Numbers: 3,300
-Arbequois Footmen: Lightly Armored, Arbequois Armed, Expertly Trained
Numbers: 1,500
-Imperial Guardsmen: Heavy Armored Exceptionally Well Trained Swordsmen, Use Single Handed Swords
Numbers: 500
In Addition To These Forces In War 11,500 Auxilla Can Be Called Up.

The Shakal economy relies on the trade within the Baltic Sea. The east port of Konigsberg is among the most important on the entire Baltic. On land the Empire sits as the eastern frontier of German lands and is crossed by the routes going from the east to the west. Although lacking several major rare materials the Shakal Empire has ample Amber supplies to trade.
