Coup of Llama-born Llamas (Open RP)

*Emergency news brief played over TVs and Radios countrywide*

LBLN (Llama-born Llamas News) reports that a large force of angry militants is burning their way from the snowy Jeriall Mountains to the capital, Llamapalis. Fleeing citizens report that the militants are heavily armed, and countless farmers and llamas are reported lost. Not much is known about this group, other than they are extremely dangerous. Her Royal Majesty, Queen Kaleli the Gracious, is meeting with her war council, devising a way to stop these terrorists before more damage is done. We go live, now, to Karen McKraken, in the field:

*A young black woman covered in dirt and soot stands in front of a burning village, dark smoke almost blotting out the sun. Gunfire and screaming is heard in the background.*

"Thank you *coughs* As you can see behind me folks, I am standing in the middle of this chaotic nightmare. Unfortunately, my interview with Mabel the Talking Llama will have to be pushed to the side for now. Folks, I do not know much about this group, other than they appear to be foreigners, and they seem bent on doing as much damage to the area as possible. Reports (and panicking villagers) have been flooding in all day, and thankfully most of the residents of this small hamlet evacuated long before the militants arrived. It sounds like they are sweeping back over here... Back to you in the office."

*The last image sent over the airwaves of Karen shows her sprinting towards a van, with the cameraman close behind.*

Both the Crown and the Defenders appreciate your noble offer. What we need most at this point is medical relief and basic supplies. Thousands of the injured and ill, as well as healthy citizens, are flooding into the capital. At this time, the Army is doing well, on both manpower and morale. The Royal Air Force is making sweeps of the attacked region, and believe that another 50,000 citizens are making their way towards the city. We do not have enough room for the 25,000 extra civilians we are trying to house now, let alone another 50,000. The situation is dire for those who are injured or ill. Any support you can send is welcome.

Again, on behalf of Queen and Country, thank you.

May the Llamas watch over you.

BREAKING NEWS UPDATE:

Thousands of injured people are swarming into Llamapalis, with nowhere to go. People are literally sprawled out on the street, and the Red Cross is quickly running out of supplies. Every doctor, nurse, med student, and grandmother is called forth to help their fellow man. The situation is dire. The Secretary of Foreign Affairs has appealed to the international community for assistance, but so far has not had much success. According to reports from the military, the militants have stopped, and made a base approximately 50 miles away from Llamapalis and its outlying suburbs.

"It seems as if they're waiting for something... we don't know what yet," said a government official who refused to be named, or taped, "We're trying to gain any intelligence we can, and call out to our neighbors for assistance in both identifying these.. hooligans.. and helping our citizens. The Queen is most distressed, and is planning on moving as many people as possible into her palace to help offset this disaster."

The Queen is scheduled to make a statement later today. Please stay tuned for any further updates. May the Llamas help us all!
