Tetsu and Hyde

All nations interested in peace, love, mutual understanding, or rock are welcome to join the leadership of like-minded nations at Tetsu and Hyde's "Kiss 2007 Conference." We welcome anyone who is of a non-warlike spirit, and even those who are of a more warlike nature, as long as they vow to cease hostilities and consider our peaceful point of view.
On behalf of The Arc In The Sky (the immortal governing council of Tetsu and Hyde) we invite all of you to experience our hospitality, our happiness, and to share your own ideas and thoughts.

It seems almost improbable that there are no other nations interested in seeking peace and alternatives to the state of war and hatred that overcomes us all.

Office of the Foreign Affairs Minister
To whomever it may concern,
On behalf of Prime Minister Jacobi and Her Royal Majesty Queen Carina I, and the Bretonian people at large, I would like to offer you formal greetings to the interstellar community. The emergence of a new country on the interstellar stage that does not incorporate some kind of evil megalomaniac intent on the destruction of all life, or some-such cliché, is always a welcome sight indeed.
In relation to your message, while this government would be pleased to send an Ambassador to your unfortunately named proceedings to see what proposals you have to offer, we can not and shall not despatch any key members of our leadership to your nation at this present time. This is due to security concerns based not only on your own nation, of whom we know little to nothing about, but also any other potential attendees who may pose security threats.
On your authorisation, the HMS Ulysses, our chief diplomatic craft, will be dispatched post haste to your conference, carrying Ambassador Rachel Harper. Our experts have estimated based on the data package you sent that travel time from Bretonia to Tetsu and Hyde is roughly five solar days at recommended cruising speed.
In regards to lacklustre interest, one must exhibit divine levels of patience. Many of the leaders you seek to reach are presumably preoccupied with exterminating some population centre or another at the moment - no doubt wearing unfashionable dark robes in the process and having their eyes surgically altered to glow ominously or some such nonsense. As mentioned earlier in my correspondence, cliché is the order of the day in this neighbourhood I am afraid.
I wish you luck in your conference, and prosperity for the future.
