Which Course of Action? (ATTN: Stoklomolvi, The Beatus, and those against Cripistan

The room was rather grand looking for being buried deep underground. It was a rather large room, a large, cherry finished table in the center. Around it were very fancy looking office chairs. papers were strewn about the table, different officials looking them over. Computer screens showed maps and diagrams.

Sitting at the head of the table was the President of Orbath himself. To his right, the Defense Minister sat. The President rose from his chair, speaking to those already seated.

''Welcome all. It is very important that this matter is discussed quickly so lets get to it.''

He paused, looking around.

'' On the topic of Cripistan, he appears to be backing down. I propose we issue demands, including the surrender of his government and a military reduction strategy.''

He paused again, ensuring everyone had heard.

''As for Stoklomolvi, what are we to do against these ''rebels''.''

Colonel Brandon Okame was sitting at a corner of the table. He had been sent as a military representative for the Federation. "With Cripistan, the only way to protect the region is to force them to allow us to build military bases in their country. Either that, or full on invasion and division of the nation into the cooperating forces."

Colonel Okame was a short man, about 5' 8", with a black goatee and mustache. He was infamous among the Federation Military for his equally short temper. He had a rough, gung-ho GI voice, which didn't seem to fit an officer of his rank. Either way, he was a Colonel, and that was all that mattered to him.

Grand General of the Armed Forces Elijah Yeltosky pounded his fist on the table. Red faced, he declared the only action that he thought could be taken.

"We MUST declare war on Cripistan as soon as possible. With this many nations all ready to invade, we can instantly go in and seize possession of the so-called 'government' and we can divide Cripistan into occupation zones. That way, we can control Cripistan, while slowly giving power back to a puppet government established by one of the members of the Coalition. About the rebels, do not worry about them, for they will be crushed within a few days."

He sat back down, and drank some water. He wiped his forehead with a handkerchief.

'' Yes but if they agree to turn over their government and agree any demands, we won't have to go to war. I think constructing military bases in Cripistan is a good way to keep them in check.''

The President pointed to a monitor on the wall;

Here is a list of proposed demands, you may add to them, subtract some or reject them altogether.''

The Nation of Cripistan must agree to these terms. By not doing so, they will secure themselves a chance to go to war with many nations.

1) All government officials will be turned over to allied officials. Those responsible for war crimes will be tried, the remaining will be exiled.

2) A council government, made up of representatives from allied nations will take control of Cripistan until proper elections can be held.

3) A military reduction strategy will be enacted,

- The nation of Cripistan will hand over all NBC chemical weapons to allied nations.

- All ships and forces outside of Cripistan will return.

- For a period of 5 years, no military force shall be allowed to exit Cripistan without approval from allied nations. After five years, it will be decided whether to lift this ban or not.

4) Allied nations will be able to construct military bases inside of Cripistan for the purpose of ensuring no more wrongdoing and monitoring both the government and the military reduction.

5) The natives of Kuur island evacuated by Stoklomolvi will be paid 5.6 Billion dollars in damage money.

The President gave everyone a chance to read the information.

''I doubt Cripistan will agree, so it would leave us no choice.''

From:Republic Of Colstream:

You might remember that you helped us during the rebel problem in Thive. Now the Colstream Government wishes to return the favour by helping you and your allies. During another conflict which i can't remember where, the Cripistan Army fired on the Colstream Army when we were on the same side fighting a communist faction. They caused us to withdraw which meant the fall of democracy in that country. We would like to get back at them for that. Please get back to us.

As some of you may not know, the fromer Dictator Ryan Shay was shot and killed yesterday by my men. We immediatley seized government, and had no objections. I am currently meetin with Mr. Kuman in Beatus to dicuss terms of any actions that were taken while the Shay Regime was in control. We have no issue with paying for our damages that were done to the Kuurians. However, we really don't believe that dividing our nation is necessary.

To:Tyler Eclston, Acting Leader of Cripistan,

We are not asking you to divide your nation, rather we are asking that you prove to us that you are now a competent nation. The bases would simply be a reminder to keep you in check. Also, we would be able to react to any problems.

To Orbath,

We will allow your nation to set up bases in Cripistan. But we ask that only you send troops. Because of the actions that Dictator Shay enacted between Stoklomlvi and Colstream, we are just worried that they may be vengeful. We have had no problems with you, and believe your intentions are for the better.

General Elijah rubbed his forehead.

"That sounds solid, but I am not going to allow trials for those who issued the order to kill of civilians. I am especially NOT going to let that insolent son of a [expletive removed] general who drove our top diplomat insane leave Cripistan alive. He will be mutilated, burnt, [vile practise removed], [vile practise removed]!"

Angrily, he stood up.

"What we need to do is issue an ultimatum. Give them, say, twenty four hours to respond, and if they decline or do not reply, unleash hell on them. Afterwards, no matter what decision he makes we will still occupy Cripistan. Only then can peace be assured for the region."

'' General, I'm aware of what they have done but everyone deserves a fair trial. Besides, why make ourselves look bad when we know we have the evidence t make convictions. As for an occupation, I think the military bases are enough. Speaking of which, Cripistan has requested that you not place one in their nation. They feel you will lash out. I disagree. I think you have every right to have one and I believe that you wouldn't lash out. I think an ultimatum needs to be issued, and soon.''

After he had said this, an aid walked in to the room, wispering something in his ear.

''It appears the President of Cripistan has been shot and someone else has taken their place. This is most confusing.''

He thought for a brief moment.

''If you and your allies want to draw up an ultimatum, we can have it sent out, and see if Cripistan will comply.''

A voice boomed out.

"General, stand down. I have arrived."

The Commissar himself had arrived by plane to discuss the course of matters. Instantly, the general cowered and seemed to want to get away from the Commissar.

"You may leave now, general. I have plans for you to handle the Kurr Island incident."

"Yes, sir!"

The general nearly tripped on the way out of the room.

"Gentlemen, it has come to my attention that the plan for Cripistan is in order. As such, I have prepared a long ultimatum for Cripistan."

Commissar Alexei pulled out a sheet of ivory paper. On it were words written in calligraphy; a bit hard to read, but beautiful nonetheless.

It has come to the attention of the world that a plan to handle the rogue nation of Cripistan is in order. As such, an ultimatum has been prepared, and a list of demands is below.

Cripistan must agree to disband eighty five per cent of its armed forces.
Cripistan must agree to allow all of the Coalition forces to establish military bases in Stoklomolvi.
Cripistan must agree to disband forty per cent of all civilian ships as well as disband ninety eight per cent of its navy.
Cripistan must agree to pay reparations to every family affected by this conflict in its nation.
Cripistan must agree to allow all Cripistani military bases to be searched periodically.
Cripistan must agree to allow for the divide of Cripistan into occupation zones for a short time.

If Cripistan agrees to all of the above, then the Coalition forces will move in and occupy Cripistan for a period of one year. The Coalition must also agree to pay a total of $2,000,000,000,000, or two trillion Universal Standard Dollars to Cripistan in damages over a period of six years. After this time has elapsed, then the occupation zones will be dissolved and the government of Cripistan may return to power. However, it will be watched for another year, after which it will be free to do its own bidding.

If Cripistan does not agree, then the Coalition will have no choice but to invade and forcibly seize control. Then, the above will follow, though the occupation time will be two years. Also, the reparation cost will not be paid in any form whatsoever. Hence, we believe that the consequence of not agreeing to this ultimatum is much worse than what would happen if Cripistan did agree.

Thus, the undersigned agree to this ultimatum.

"Less than a decade under surveillance seems a bit short to me." said the Colonel from the corner of the table, somewhat hard to notice. "With a nation as surprising as Cripistan, I'd think that after a few years, sure, we should remove the large-scale occupation. But we should most definately keep an eye on them, just in case they decide to start running up the genocide again." he continued.

The Commissar sighed.

"True, true. However, do remember that Cripistan, no matter how vile or disgusting it may seem, is still a nation capable of doing whatever it can. Thus, I wrote it down as only a year in surveillance, but we can always keep our spy satellites over Cripistan. Heh heh heh."

Alexei then clapped his hands together.

"Now, let us sign this, if you agree, shall we?"

Colonel Okame pulled his PDA out, and took a quick photo of the document. "Just sending it to the Grand Commander to see if he agrees." He said. GRIFFITH-II replied with a yes, and Brandon Okame placed his PDA, printer-side down, on the signature portion of the document. The PDA started printing GRIFFITH-II's signature, which was a command that could only be sent from the Spire.
