Brydog
12-11-2007, 04:25
Today, in a proud victory, Mrs. Trisha Handstand-Lichtenburg was elected Prime Minister of Brydog. The former Prime Minister, Wolfgang Lichtenburg, her husband was surprised at the election but remembered her father was John C. Handstand, current Lord Chancellor and the most famous person in Brydog. The Prime Minister has stated she shall bring new things to the people. Many experts are weighting the issues of Brydog's first female leader.

Madam Prime Minister,

I bid you congratulations on being a milestone setter for your country. Being a woman in such a position can be tough but remember to never back down in the face of trouble. Keep going strong and do your country proud.

Madam Prime Minister,

Like with my esteemed colleague Prime Minister Romany of Kanami, I too congratulate you on your unprecedented victory in the recent elections and the achievement for Brydog this represents. As your ally in the United Federation of Allied Nations, I'll be glad to assist however you would have of me in the days to come; your esteemed father the Lord-Chancellor has made his own mark on your nation, and I am confident yours shall equal his in time. Until then, do not be ashamed to take a moment's rest in this achievement before the work to come begins in earnest; this moment shall not come again even if you win reelection as we hope, so it must be enjoyed to its fullest now.

My deputy, my wife, and the UFAN Secretary General Christine Friedrich also sends her enthusiastic congratulations upon your election. She too is eager to work with you as able, and has no doubt as two women of power you can achieve much together while setting a tremendous example that women of all nations can aspire to equal. Together we will all achieve much in our time, assuredly.

In Celebration,
Charles D. Lind
