Ic: the great journy exited hyperspace in the gren system and headed towards gren 5. This ship was a colony ship, carrying 500 civilions and 200 trops to thier new home across ther stars. The dragona empire, whilst small had a great many fledgling colony operational out sides its last maped boarders.

This last ship was the only one remaining out of the 100 or so that had been made specificly for this rapid expansion and had potentioly the most boring of the 100 different planets selected for colenisation. Still at least it should have been uneventful.

IC: The ship sudenly stoped.
"Whats goining on?" asked the captain
"hmm, there apears to be some sort of war fleet ahead, maybe emergancy procedues kiked in?" replyed the tactical officer.
" open a chanel"
"yes sir"
" atention unkown ships, we are the colony ship the great journy of the dragona empire. Emporer bright eye claims this world for the good of our people. Please move aside and allow us to pass thrugh."
The unkown ships sent another mesage back, text only 'this wourld is ours, no one will take it from us, for we are the beor pack pirates. Lowe your shields and prepair to be boarded, dont bother to resist, your not militery you wont survive against this many ships no matter what."
"Send a distress signal on all frequencys, helm get us out of here, maximum sublight speed untill we clear the system."

Task force twenty five 0730 hours:
“First day of patrol with this group eh Admiral Kelly?” said a middle aged smooth pale skinned man sitting besides the center chair, photonic and bio neural wiring ran from his head port to the chair he was sitting in. He looked up to an older man with Grey hair, blue eyes and toned skin.

The AI floated above changing to different colors as it did so. Admiral Armstrong Kelly was re assigned from the 12th task force on the border between chronosia and the federal union, it was said his experience and expertise would be needed to deal with the unknown beyond the federation border, rather than the nonexistent threat of chaos who happened to be in an alliance with the Tarren federation.
Kelly sat back looking over to his first officer with a somewhat smug looking grin.“Yes, Commander it is, but I find myself, lacking by this assignment.”The commander responded with a nod and a sigh “ that’s usually what happens federation command cant bother finding a place for us because there are hardly any major wars going on that need our attention “

Kelly sat back in the leather like chair; the small task force consisted of 12 ships, Two Lexington class cruiser, two Ticonderoga class missile cruises four Ordos destroyers and four swift strike frigates. Kelly commanded the UFS Midway, a block two Lexington class cruisers freshly refitted out of new sol. As the task force gently and ominously flowed in to the deathly silent vacuum of space, its point ships, the UFS Ordos, and the UFS Addams, picked up strange sensor readings just outside of federation space.
The bridge of the Midway was somewhat quiet, with the constant blips of holographic consoles, androids and officers walking back and forth in the softly blue lit bridge with mundane metal walls and utilitarian walk ways.

The con officer sat in his corner station hooked up to several consoles directly from his mind. The instant the point ships several light years ahead of the fleet discovered these signals he knew about it. As he received the data he looked over to Admiral Kelly, nodding, Kelly looked at him with a raised eyebrow obviously receiving the data but confused nothing was ever detected out here before, why now?
Kelly sighed and tapped on his chairs console, he was hailing Federation fleet command. An older man with three stars on his collar came up.
“Federation fleet com, Admiral Richardson speaking”

“Admiral Richardson this is vice admiral Kelly, of the 25th task force, it seems my point ships ahead of the fleet has detected activity, they seem to be heading towards a border world , am I authorized to check advice and establish contact if necessary?” Kelly’s voice was deep and coarse, like the veteran of war he was he knew what to do.

Richardson nodded saying “I will let the secretary of state know but you are authorized to proceed, do not fire unless fired upon.” The screen cut to a black, Kelly sat back putting his hands in his lap looking out to the vast darkness and lifelessness of space. He then looked over to his helms officer and con officer with a nod both sending them a message via link up.

The fleet began to move, the engines flared up in the ominous silence of space, suddenly space itself was split in a violet flash of light, the ships had engaged jump drives, the violet wasn’t to last however as soon as they disappeared in to the glowing rip nothing but absolute darkness was left, silence and darkness.

Instantly the ships appeared along the outer planets of the system, their bodies ripped back in to existence from coaxial jump, the two point ships now close by to the ominously large cruisers, as they floated silently towards the ships. Blue streams of particles emanated from the back of the ships as the moved forward.
Kelly looked over to his con officer who tapped on the console ahead of him with his smooth hands. A channel was open at this point. Kelly started to speak, the Universal translator attempting multiple frequencies.
“This is The United Federation ships Midway, representing the united Terran federation, we have detected your ships in this area, and we wish to make contact with your people.”

The message was sent, but for now it was the waiting game, Kelly sat back in his chair thinking back on history, we was involved in many conflicts including the brief federal civil war between the Colonial alliance and the Terran Federation faction. Many years passed, he was still scared by some of the horrors he saw especially during the ill faded Galactic Empire was that destroyed the old home world of the colonial alliance. He would not repeat any mistakes regarding new races he had before the federation.


The entire crew of the midway did not know the past, however the commander next to him did, and they were old friend’s pre colonial war. So they understood each other know what each was going to do. The waiting game.. Hopefully the race they had just encountered was not trigger happy or the federation would have yet another conflict to deal with.

"Sir, unkown ships have arived in the area, they are hailing us"
"patch it thrugh" and on the screen the teran bridge apeared, and they too could see the dragonan bridge.
" Hail friends, i am steel talon, captain of the great journy. We are suposed o be colonising gren 5 but as you can proboly tell, thats going to be a proble..." the comm chanel cut off as 5 transphasicwarheads impacted against the sheilds of the colony ships, instantly deactivating them.

At the edge of the system a transarp rift apared and 2 pinnance class ships entered real space once more.
" Atention hostile ships, i am admaral swift strike, you are firing on a vessle of the dragona empire. Cease fire or you wil be destroyed."

"Ah, admaral, its been so long since i saw your face, i belive it was on olimpos monz penal facility if i rember right. Such rony, that you should have somany guns pointed at you this time" sent the irate leader before defiantly fireing tracter beams at the colony ship.

OOC: this is a pinnance class ship

“For the love of…” Kelly almost screamed out, he looked over to his con officer who right away opened a channel Kelly began to speak

" Any unwarranted attack on friendly forces will not be tolerated on Federation borders, you have several minuets to comply and cease attacking these ships or be fired upon"

That was a hint to the tactical officer; Kelly had also sent a signal via link to the tactical officer to order all ships to activate weapons.

Suddenly throughout the federation task force neutron lasers, neutron blasters, main guns, Masers, positron and ion beams and missile tubes came online, immense power build ups, the multi layered shields of the midway and its other ships also came online right away.

Kelly said again this time to the forces that have just jumped in to the system. "This is the Terran Federation ship Midway, we have not fired upon any of your ships, we hope you realize this, we will assist in mop up operations of hostile forces"

The ships were now using a turtle strategy. Kelly awaited a reply looking over to the tactical officer with a nod and he sent another signal to prepare thunderbolt viper fighters for launch, he had a feeling these dragons would not believe him.

Mean while Squadron leader Joe Friday hoped in to his medium sized fighter craft, AI’s and techs loaded Javelins and thunder screech missiles on the wings and internal bays, and loaded the 20 mm cannons with solid rounds, he pressed a few buttons put his neural link up on and waited to be cleared for flight.

Kelly sighed; the comm. was still active he said to his commander who was sitting next to him. “This is the last thing we need, let’s hope we can defuse this without resorting to violence , he then looked over to the sentry station officer who had a 3d map of the entire system and a ways beyond in view, he said.

“Any luck on finding that the hell fired those things?”
The officer began to scan again saying back “sir we have to wait for results they should be coming in any second now”
Kelly nodded sitting back on his leather like chair looking at the screen.

OOCwe didnt threghten u or fire at you. the admaral fired at the pirates. Incidently there will be a huge prize for thier destruction, it will be lurking near gren 5. Please correct the post acordingly. Unless you want me 2 fire at you lol.

Near to the Pirates location, the psace started to flucuate and vibrate as three ships mysteriously appeared out of thin air.

All three were identical looking, bearing the symbol (http://www.wizards.com/magic/images/mtgcom/arcana/1270_FS_es.jpg) of the Alversian Republic.

Aboard one of the modern, tri-engined ships, a message was sent out to the other forces in the area

To: All other vessels

This is the Alversian Dreadnought APS Carrick requesting information on
pirate vessels in the area. We have persued them all the way from Alversia
and are now requesting permission to finish the job here


The Alversian Ships raised their shields and headed directly towards the pirate warships.

IC "All ships the is the dragona ship belisner, thank you for coming to the asistance of our civilian ship, you have clearnce to fire at will."
The tactical opened fire and from the 3 pinnance class ships a hale of green and darkblue energy shots began to rip into the pirates.
"Sir. Im detecting a very large object moving from behind the planet. It is the size of a medium moon. Im cross refeancing it now." (guessed what it is yet?)

The pirates had decided that rather than waste time boarding the colony ships, they should destroy it and have done, this didnt take long. After 6 phaser shots the warpcore went critical and the ship imploded.
The pirates now turned thier atention to the varius ships that where in the system.

"Sir we are reciveing a distress signal from a ship in the gren system." Leading Seaman Imsh told the ships commander, Cheif Petty Officer 1st class Emen.
"Who is sending the signal out? Are they allied?"
"They call them selves The Great Journy and claim to be acting as part of the Dragona Empire. What are your orders?"
"I'll contact the Admrial but I think know what our orders are going to be." Emen left the room and a few minets later came back "Just as I thought; we are to go to the gren system, offer our assistence and an alliance."
The Entropic set out for the gren system nad apon arrival sent out a massage "To the commanding officer of The Great journy this is Petty Officer 1st class Emen, of the Entropic speeking on behalf of the Voltruo empire; we have recived your distress signal and offer our aid at the cost of a Mutual assistance pact."

"Atention new arivals, this is the belisner. The great journy has been destroyed, but your offer is acepted. I am comander flame tounge of the Dragona empire." Was the reply.
Several pirate ships had been destroyed by now and the object still hadnt been identifyed.

Kelly looked around he nodded to the con officer and said open a channel. A channel was opened and Kelly began to say in a commanding and tough voice.

“That battle moon, yes it’s a battle moon will not fall under any ones flag, it will be destroyed as a weapon of mass destruction in accordance with The Federation senates act on terror code 18a section five, we are authorized to destroy it, and we will exercise that authority”

Kelly looked at the big object and growled he slammed his hands on the sides of the chair he looked quickly over to the tactical officer he nodded sending a signal to him and thus to the rest of the task force to focus fire on that large object.


Suddenly the main guns of the entire fleet opened up, thousands of beams flew from the cruisers and Destroyers, filling the dark void of space with yellow blue, white and orange. Beams and pulses of fire flew from every single ships going towards the large object, the fleet was closing fast, the ships engines roared to life again pushing the cruiser the destroyer’s frigates and smaller ships towards the battle moon. Kelly said and nodded looking over to the tactical officer and the bridge became bathed in red and noises from Claxton’s he said,
“Arm the main cannons target that thing and fire! Launch fighters as well keep those fighters on point, prepare breaching pods make sure we get a nice hole in that thing, before we land marines”


Suddenly Friday’s fighter was lunged out of the launch tub, its engines glowing a hot white and blue as it moved as fast as possible the squadron forming up on him, he looked around his head connected and merged with the fighters AI. He started to speak through the coms saying in a rough commanding voice. “All vipers form up, at alpha tango omega, vector one five eight niner!” The squadron formed up in to a wedge, the fighters vectored and flipped over quickly gunning it to point, they flew and screeched passed the large ships streams of white hot particles flowing behind as they did barrel roles to straighten themselves out.

mean while several SA-106 super dolphins were prepping for launch, marines in full body gear NBC armor flooded the launch bay carrying ABR-15 rail rifles and neutron pulse rifles, they stood at attention looking out as the commander walked through their ranks. He started to speak in a harsh commanding voice. “Welcome marines! You have been called here today at this very second to accept a mission of dangerous consequences to capture or destroy a battle moon that is a WMD, as ordered by the commander of the fleet and the santé, we must abide by this capture or destroy at any cost! Those who do not want to go step forward!” Every single , marine assembled stayed , they held rifle in hand looking out strait at attention like sentries.

The commander grinned “good, now pile in to those ships!” the marines rushed gear jingling on them as they moved in to the super dolphin drop ships, the commander moving towards the lead one.

The fire from the fleet intensified even more continuously firing on one section to create a breach, space was lit with cornucopias of fire and colors.

Amazingly, the battle moons shileds absorbed most of the fire and only got a few scratches to its hull.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" roared the admaral over the intercom. " Cease fire. I dont care what that thing is, we will study it and learn from it. It is obvius that its supreamly powerful, if we all work together than we can all benifit from this. Dont throw an opitunity like this away."

Kelly sighed and idly waved his hand, the tactical officer already received orders to activate the main weapons of the cruisers. He growled a little sitting back in his chair grasping the armrest, suddenly the cruisers light dimmed, the cruiser phase transit cannon was activate this massive energy guzzler had the power to push objects out of existence by phasing them uncontrollably, and with a flash of the upmost radiance and colors a massive beam of colorful white energy flew from both cruiser at the death start firing with all their might, as the energy beam subsided Kelly stood up not paying attention to the
Dragons hail as he adjusted his clothing.

The other officers watched, they watched as the beams went towards the beasts. It was over now the beams distorted space and warped it , it was over before it began with these weapons.

The Entropic was only one trireme class battle ship with only a handful of Vistage class fighters/landing craft thus normaly such a ship would retreat from something so powerful as a battle-moon. However this time there where who could keep the attention of most of the wepons and give the crew of the Entropic a chance. "Alright here is the plan" Cheif Petty Officer 1st Class Eman said "We need capture that thig or leave enugh to be slavaged so we'll load three Vistages up with marines who will board once we get close to the battle moon. Those on the ship will provide cover fire but it's up to the pilot to get you guys a way in."

The Entropic aproched the battle moon blasting away at it with it's plasma cannons until it got close enugh to make the Vistages trip a relitivly short one. When the Vistages where released they found that they had their work cut out for them. The bautyful thing about the ship's design was that in addition to the main cannons operated by the pilot and the tail gun operated by a designated tail gunner, there where also numerus rifle slots for the marines on bord to shoot out of. Eventualy the Vistages found their way into the battle moon and it was time for the marines to do waht they do best.

ooc: how come we all just ignored the pirates that are intent of pumeling every thing to ash?

" FINE. If we cannont learn its secrets no one can!!!" called the admaral and another 6 ships decloaked. "This is emporer bright eye. All craft foucus your fire on this new obbject, it must be destroyed!" and all the ships of the dragona ships opened up on it, the drones from the sprit of fire did tremdos damage.

OOC: NO ONE IS TO BE ABLE TO KEEP THE DEATH STAR OR USE IT. It was going to be a plot device but however I was told, to late, that it was the bigest god-mod i was ever lickly to do( sorry guys) so i am having it majorly weakened and so will be destroyed shortly.

As a result i sugest you leave the DS now.!!!! as it is going to be destroyed.

OOC: or how about you just let us go and tear it apart rather than activateing some self-distruct sequance that way no-one actualy uses it but we don't get blown up eather. By the way the reason we are all attacing it rather than any thing else is because we thought it was owned by the space pirets.

All the Voultro marines exited their Vistages and converged, thirty total. Having gotten a chance to have a little target practice with their Plasma rifles they where ready to tear this place apart. "Ok now, you know the routine, shoot any known enamy without pause, but wait till confirmed hostility if your in doubt and take anything you find that looks valuable."

ooc: no im serios its about to loose its sheilds and get destroyed by weapons fire. abandon it, its to much of a god mod.

IC: As the terrans superweapon hit the sheilds there was a tremendous white flash and the battlemoon was instantly vaporised, then the vapour itself vanished, there was however still the matter of the pirates.

"Emporer, we are reciving reports from multiple systems, our colonys are being attack with waves of ships from many cultures. The defence fleet of 3 worlds has fallen and we are loosing at another 6 worlds." Called the comm officer
"more than simply pirates then. Hail the other ships, tell them we must go to the defence of our worlds, request they assist and send them a list of co-ordinates. Then set a course for frayer, maximum speed."
" yes sir" said the comm officer, already sending a mesage to the alversians.

"Damn it! All our marines and most of our Vistages were on that thing, now we will won't be able to salvage anything." Cheif Petty Officer 1st Class Eman was furious the dustruction of the battle moon eliminated any chance of making a tangable profit, the only way they could get anything out of this now was through diplomancy.

"Your orders Sir?" Asked Leading Seaman Imsh, he understood the stituation, he knew they would have no choice but to help fight, there would be nothing to gain if they ran they would be left with only losses both of troops and of diplomatic relations.

"Try to get us in contact with the other ships so we can make a coordinated attack."

After listening to the mesage the emporer said " thank you for offering asistance, i have recived word that these ships bear our transponder codes, some do anyway. It would apper we have traters in our midst. if you would asist us at frayja we would be most apreciative, its defences have already fallen and it is in urgent need of help or it surface will be glassed from orbit.*closed channel*
Initiate transwarp, get us to frayja, now"

And the dragona ships disapoeared in a pulse of blue light.

"This is Cheif Petty Officer 1st Class Eman of the Entropic requesting reinforcements on our diplomatic mission to the Dragona Empire." Cheif Petty Officer 1st Class Eman was forced to contact the Admiral in order to stand a chance of helping at Frayja.

"This is Admiral Hadrrian hearing your request what's the situation?"

"We have engaged the enamy. We lost all our marines and three of our five Vistages. Dragona Planets are under attack an they have requested our assistance at Frayja."

"Request acknowledged we will send the Skirr another Trireme class ship will meet you at Frayja."

"Thank you Admiral."

The fleet droped out of transwarp to find 10 ships lining heavy guns at the planet and a further 50 in orbit.

"Hail that hay'kal class"
"yes sir"
"Xipo, you have always walked with one foot in the shadow, i did not think it would dragb you this far into the darkness, so much so you would kill your brethren"
On the screen a black dragon could be seen, he responded thus, starting the following argument:
"Alas, you have fallen into the shadow of contempt and lazyness brighteye, I do this for our people, you hold us in the present, i pull us thrugh the ages to the future."
"Trechery is not the way forward, Xipo, call of your attacks on imperial worlds or face the penalty for treason."
"So be it, oh mighty emporer, i surender* the fins of the ship extended and begin to power up* WHEN I HAVE ONE LAST BREATH IN MY BODY, FIRE."
"so be it, I SENTANCE YOU TO EXILE AND DEATH, THIS SENTANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT NOW!!"

And the fleets began to launch bursts of energy at each other. "GAGH, where are those reinforcements, send word to the surface, anti-orbital batterys open up!!"

OOC: a description of the hay'kal class ships.
The origional answer to heavy capitals gave birth to the hay series. The principle is that a super laser will penetrate frankly anything, even a miner one like on the hay'un class, unfortunatly the scientists were wrong but they made a very powerful ship. Hay'kal ships are the climax of the series, with a refined super laser that is fired from four points on extendable fins. The whole ship is desighned to be like a super conducter, chaneling energy from every non critical system( sheilds, life suport and engines remain online), thrugh several super conducters. These then relay the refined energy to a fireing point. The beams are either fired at one taget simultainiusly or to meet at an angle where they will all ricochet to the specified target. Whilst unable to compeate with pinance mk2 ships with thier superlasers, thay are capable of compleatly stoping a planets core from rotating by turning it to solid glass, causing catatstrophy before the planet looses its ability to suport life.

These ships are also more expensive to build than a pinance mk2 and so only 5 where built before they where abandoned, it is belived that 4 of the ships are in the hands of traters, secretly planing to over throw the empire and make the dragona a huge war machine.

OOC2: xipia, you can use the pirates/traters now, bear in mind that only XIPO is dragona and a few of his best oficers are aswell.

This was a mere initial assault, designed to scare the people on the surface and soften them up. Marines would go down and retrive anything vaulable. Money, precious minerals and gems, ancient artifacts, strong men and beautiful women for slaves, and other such. Then the planet would be glassed. The force was a diverse mix of races and peoples: Humans, Noghri, Trandoshans, Rodians, Weequey, Gran, Korr, Danaversians, and many others. The ships ranged from stolen Imperial ships, strange alien ships, biological ships, custom made ships, and others. Most of the ships were small, corvettes, armed freighters, assualt tranports, and other ships of that size. There was a handful of frigates, about 50 fighters, and a couple of Capital ships, including the hay'kal flagship. While the various races and ships didn't all work well together, they were all motivated by either greed or ideals, both of which were powerful motivators. Upon the apparence of the fleet most of the ships turned and manuvered for a chance to fire, leaving the other ten ships to keep the fire on the planet.

A tremendud fire fight erupted between the fleets, super lasers, drones and energy shots flew every where (well the drones flew straight to the target realy).

on the spirt of fire an observer from the kolm, a race subjigated watched with intrest "this Xipo is truly mad or truly evil, or maybe both."
"Evil lurks in all of us, wether we allow it to rule us or vice verca is our own choice" replyed bright eye as a wing of crippler bombers headed towards the nearest ship.

On the surface a soild trinum hatch was retracted into the facility it was built into. From the opening it created, an ornate yet fearsum looking gun emerged, extending and lining up with a ship in orbit, across the planet this happened, then in unison all accros the planet blue energy blasts erupted from the silos, then another volly, then another.

Two ships were utterly destroyed, their fragments falling out of orbit down to the planet. The rest manuvered out of the way, withdrawing to the safty of numbers until the enemy fleet could be destroyed. Drop ships began to fly down to the planet, too small to be accuratly targeted by the guns. The fire between the ships was terrible, nothing so much as a gnat (had there been a gnat capable of surviving the harsh enviornment of space and just happened to be there) could have fit between the blasts.

a huge hole was blownin the hull of one of the pinance mk1 ships as Xipo opened fire with his super laser, riping thrugh the weakened sheilds of the ship, glassng part of the hull which shatered after the next.

"We need help sir, we wont last against this many ships at this rate, even with most of them being minor classes."
"SIR, LANDING CRAFT HEADED TO THE SURFACE."
"Re rout gold, rouge and theta squdsto intercept, we cannot loose the planet."

On the surface, the citys had deployed theier anti-incursion measures.An anti air feild was activated and turbolasers where sloging it out with the transports in an atempt to slow thier advance, they where having little effect.
The entrances where sealed and the militry was maning its stations. Artilery set up on the central spires began to open up, atempting to blast apart anything trying to land or get to the city.

The Entropic and the Skirr arived at Frayja to find the fighting in a furrius state avoiding freindly fire would have been nearly imposible where it not for the fact that the Dragona ships where already firing at the mixed ships which seamed to let them know that they where not frendlies. Before they got into battle Cheif Petty Officer 1st Class Eman of the Entropic and Acting Sub-Lieutenant Galochio of the Skirr waited to discus stratagy and the Skirr also had been given extra marines to fill the Entropic's Vistages.

Once Battle was joined the Entropic moved a little closer to the main battlefeild but for the most part stayed farther away using three of it's six class two plasma turrets to brodside the other ships. The Skirr on the other hand moved to get between the battle and the planet turning towards the battle so that it's front two main cannons can fire at the enenmy ships and the other four would try to stop anything from getting at the planet. Both ships released their Vistages which would also hunt around the out skirts of the battle to pick off any fighters and bord any ships that have been damaged enugh to make captureing them plausible, because Voltruo never destroy something if they think they can salvage it.

The landing craft got though with minimal casulties, they landed inside the range of the arillery, easily avoiding it. Pirates and raiders poured out, intent on looting and burning the cities. Above the planet the smaller ships were being lost, but the larger ships kept the fire on, ripping though enemy shields and armor. There weren't many fighters, and with the amount and power of the weapons flying around, most ships that lost shields were destroyed in one go. About a dozen ships, three capitals, six corvettes, two armed freighters, and a gunboat engaged the defensive line between them and the planet.

The moment the Gratak apparared some fire immediatly diverted to it. The traitors and pirates were easily holding their own.
Planetside...
The snipers were being targeted by countersnipers, and as soon as the Dragons landed anit-tank missiles and mortars and grenades hurtled their way. As scary and powerful as they may be, they were still huge targets, and not even their scales could stand up to high penetration rounds or burrowing spider mines.

the citys coverner was rapidly runing out of counter options and soon the city would be forced to activly defend itsself.

Planet, City...
Taking heart at the Dragon's retreat but somehwt worried by the ominious rumbling in the city, the gang of pirates advanced cationsly to breach the city walls.
Space...
As heavier ships and more firepower entered the battle, the more smaller pirate and traitor ships were being lost. Sloops, corvettes, freighters, and others were taking serious damage. Still they fought on, but it would not be too much longer before their resistance breaks and they would flee.

with a great clang the city detached itself from the planet and the stardrive was revealed, pulsing blue beneth the city. With a throbing sound it rose thrugh the atmosphere and its turbolasers and other weapons opened fire.

"The pirates aree taking heavy losses sir"
"target that hay'kal, i want it destroyed."
"yes ir all guns open up, firing drone barage."

The dragons where being trated for their greavus wounds but because of the spider mines they could not morph and so couldnot enter a sarcophogus for healing. VS surgery seemed the best choice, the surgen uses a virtual read out to locate an object than locks onto it with transporters, removing it from the body.

Planetside...
The attacking pirate force was rather surprised to see their target suddenly lift into the air and fly away. As they stared in shock after it one said "Well, that's endgame for us." They climbed back to their ships and lifted off into space.
Space...
"Massive energy signature coming from the planet...impossible. It seems..."
Xipo growled. "What is it?"
The XO dragon swallowed. "It seems, sir, that one of the cities has lifted off from the planet using thrusters and is now firing on our ships."
"WHAT!"
Xipo ran to the nearest viewing screen. Indeed an entire city floated in space, turbolaser batteries firing away like some kind of huge battleship. Xipo shook his scaley head. "They were fools to do that. Risk and entire civilian population. Fire the Superlaser, one concentrated beam, on my mark." The ship's "fins" glowed as it charged. "Fire." said Xipo coldly, and a huge blast of energy streaked towards the city. Meanwhile the hay'kal was taking damage, the shields were down to 21% and a third of the fleet had been destroyed. Xipo shook his head. "Destroy the city and their flagship and then we'll need to cut our losses and run. Nothing can be gained here today." All the surviving ships opened fire on either the city or on the dragona flagship. Drones, Superlasers, turbolasers, AA fire, bombs, and Ion cannon fire all struck their targets.

a huge white flash erupted from the central spire of the city as it was shattered from it new glass-form. "DAMN, what was he thinking"
"sir sheilds are buckling in the aft quater, armor is down to 70% integrety in that area."

As one all the remaining large craft cloaked and hyperspaced to the moon of frayja, an encoded text document was sent to Xipo it read thus: You have not seen the last of this, blood trater, you will be found, you will be destroyed. You are no longer one of us and are exiled forthwith from the empire of the dragona an its allys.

Xipo grinned at the message. They had won their first battle. "Get landing craft down to the planet again. If any more cities lift off, I want boarding parties on them. We'll ransack this world, glass it into wasteland, and continue on. Even the forces of the Dragona can not stand against us. Take us away." Xipo and the majority of the traitor fleet jumped away, leaving eight pirate sloops, a traitor capital ship, and a few pirate landing craft to take the planet.

The Voltruo had dadly underestamated their enemy by sending only two trireme class ships thus they where confined to the rather minor role of trying to keep the battle from spreading, which was less than a complete success. They chased the fleeing city to the moon but now that the battle was over however they would begain a clean up opreation.

Acting Sub-Lieutenant Galochio of the Skirr contacted the leader of the Dragona and requested that The Voltruo Imperial Salvage Company be permited to set up a base of operations on Frayja. If permited Acting Sub-Lieutenant Galochio would become the regonal manger of the Frayja system and Cheif Petty Officer 1st Class Eman would become the cheif ambasotor to the Dragona.

The pirates began raids all over the planet, ransacking villages, plundering towns, and overrunning entire cities. Any defenses were met with a mix of alien and familiar technology, from blasters to plasma rifles to gravity guns to biological weapons. Any thing of value was carried off, and the populance either slaughtered or taken as slaves. In orbit the force was well aware of the enemy hovering just at the rim of their reach, and kept their defenses up.

A single blue beam of energy shot towards the largest ship, then another and another soon a hail of energy fire was sreaming towards the ship.
" thier defences are still up my lord, our shots are having little effect"
"decloack all ships exept us, initiate adaptive cloak, attack pattern theta, transphasic torpedos on my mark... MARK!" and seemingly from empty space, a full volly of torpedos rocketed towards the ship from the otherside.

The Capital ship's shields held, and they had been expecting something like this. Return fire with it's Superlaser and Turbolaser batteries streaked towards the enemy fleet. The pirate landing craft formed up with the eight pirate sloops, frigates, and other ships. While the Traitor Capital kept them busy, the pirates began to glass the planet with fresh weapons.

"sir, They are glassing the planet!"
"nooooooooo, new target, hit the main guns on those ships."
"sir sensers picking up a new ship exiting transwarp, shak'ti class, its lining up its heavy guns with the capital ship."

The fleet, whilst battered was holding its ground, determined to prevent the utter devistation of the planet

The pirate ships were shook by the fire, and one was utterly destroyed, but the damage was done: Dozens of bright, glowing areas marked sites where cities had once stood, and the crust was superheated and crumbling. While the planet was not glassed, most of the civilization was destroyed. The ships began to angle for a escape hyperspace jump, abandoning their mission of glassing the entire planet.

"DAMN IT. Destroy those ships now all power to weapons open up. Xipo truly has turned to darkness, he shall suffer a fate worse than death for this."
As one all ships faltered slightly with thier barage then it was renewed 10fold, then the planet impolded.

Another two pirate ships were destroyed, as well as three pirate landing craft, but the remaining four ships and handful of landing craft jumped with the Traitor ship. All were battle-damaged and a few were leaking atmosphere, but their mission was complete.

"send word to high comand, all ships with the transpondercodes we colected or that swear aligance to Xipo are to be found and destroyed imediatly."
"yes sir" said the com officer hailing highcommand
"Oh and get us to kuat, i want to see how the cha'ah is progresing."

As per their orders from the Admiral the two Voltruo ships had spent most of their time Fegining chase of the pirates ships, waiting for the them to leave, so they could pronounce the threat gone and start working on a salvage operation. Now that all the ships where eather destroyed, "dieing", or fleeing; Acting Sub-Lieutenant Galochio contacted the Voltruo Salvage Compony and informed them that they may begain operations in the Frayja system.

OOC: So the Voltruo start to show their true colours things might start to get intresting. Sorry I haven't posted lately I have been bussy.

IC: As one the dragona ships enterd transwarp and exited soon after at Kuat. From the bridge of the spirit of fire it was an amzing sight. The great orbital foundries and thier vast aray of defences where a truely awe-inspiring sight.
In the largest foundry, there where about 12 large missle shaped objects, the cha'ah. Smiling to himself, the emporer said " send 3 of the weapons to frayja, those volto shall gain nothing from this, for we gaind little from them!!" 3 of the cha'ah disengaged from the foundry and headed to a hyperspace gate, engaging thier sensor jammeres so that they appeared to be containing valuables, one of them activated a com beacon and began transmiting a text message reading To voltro forces, we bear riches from the emporer of the dragona as reward for your actions, may the ancesters watch over you.

After the first missile hit the Skirr and distroyed it completly, the space lit up with plasma bursts as the Voltruo ships tried despretly to distroy the missiles. One got plasted out of the air, and a Vistage slamed head on into another one stoping it. Dispite the loss of a trireme class ship the Voltruo where completely unmoved, they had a new planet and the space around it full of salvage. Another planet was now under Voltruo control at the cost of only one Trireme and a handful of Vistages, if they ever found those pirates they would thank them before extermanating them.

examining the logs from the strike, the imperial counil where pleased, as was brighteye. The cha'ah had proved a great sucses and kessel would now be devoted entirly to its production.

Meanwhile a fleet of stealth ships was dispatched to locate the pirate thret and relay its coordinates to a battle fleet.

As the Titan entered the space around Frayja Cheif Petty Officer 1st Class Eman contacted the ship and atemted to resume diplomancy with the Dragona. The salvage ship had already landed on the the planet. Cheif Petty Officer 1st Class Eman sent a massage to the Dragona ship "Dragona ship this is Cheif Petty Officer 1st Class Eman of the Voltruo Trireme the Entropic requesting an explenation for the aggrasive actions taking aginst Voltruo property."

As the Titan entered the space around Frayja Cheif Petty Officer 1st Class Eman contacted the ship and atemted to resume diplomancy with the Dragona. The salvage ship had already landed on the the planet. Cheif Petty Officer 1st Class Eman sent a massage to the Dragona ship "Dragona ship this is Cheif Petty Officer 1st Class Eman of the Voltruo Trireme the Entropic requesting an explenation for the aggrasive actions taking aginst Voltruo property."

"We have launched no such attacks, friend, indeed we are here to deliver a reward from the emporer, may we dock?" And with out wateing for a eply they sped straight for the other ship, lauanching thier fighters and powering thier sheilds fully, they where going to ram the voltro!!

"Since we repelled the pirates the Dragona have acted towards us Voltruo only in a hostile manner. We have lost two of our ships one trireme and one vistage to Dragona missles. If you wish to avenge your holdings on Frayja then you will have Voltruo support. If you wish to re-inhabit Frayja then the Voltruo will share our technology with you for a price. However the right to begain a salvage operation on Frayja was promested to the Voltruo and we plan to work on it."

Meanwhile, at kuat, the imperial stratagists where pawing over the first sensor readings from the hunting ships.

Without warning a fleet of ships appear in-system, close to the Dragona forces. A message on wide broadcast was sent out:
Greetings, unknown races. We are the Xiscapians. Our pirate-hunting boarder patrol fleet intercepted and destroyed a group of fleeing pirates and mercenaries. One of the crew we have interriogated indicates that this system was the one visited last. We have captured the command ship and most of the crew. Might you enlighten us as to recent events in this system?

Pirates with an experimental weapon powerful enough to melt a planet's core to glass? How did this happen? We propose a diplomatic meeting between our race and your, but there is a catch. We have recieved a message from the Voltruo proposing such a meeting, and they would like to be included to discuss apparent salvage rights to the planet. If we could all meet on the Battleship Deception then the meeting could get under way.
A message was sent in response to the Volturoans:
We agree with your idea of a meeting. If these Dragona except, then please send a shuttle to the Battleship Deception. That would be the ship at coordinates (coordinates enclosed).

The howlers slowed as they neared the hanger and hovered outside, wating for the technitians transport to arive from the titan. Hathor sent a mesage to the bridge of the xipians.

The Battleship released the crippled pirate ship from it's tractor beam grip, then fired upon it, blowing it into firey atoms.
All prisoners and illegal technology destroyed. We have not captured this "Xipo" he may have been killed in the space battle or possibly escaped.

"then let us hope he perished." The technitians shuttle arived from the alecto and together the howlers moved in to the hanger with it.

the fallowing massage was sent to the Xiscapians:
We are sending out Leading Seaman Imsh as our diplomat in one of our last Vistages left after the battle.

The howler followed the technitions shuttle inside the hange. The howler landed but the shuttle continued to the other side of the hanger, came about and began to leave again. As it passed the spot where the it should have landed it beamed the technitons down then sped out of the hanger.

The howler lowerd its acces ramp and from the relative darkness with in the ship seven figures could be made out. In single file they exited, all clad in dark robes with fine strands of golden thread running around the hems, wings folded behind thier back, in varying colours (2 sets where red,3 blue, 1 grey and one, Hathors, gold), the last person to exit had her hood down, revealing a face of fine golden scales and large, golden irised eyes. This was Hathor. Bowing low she said "It, is an honour to meet you, friend. Shall we go now to the council?"

The Captain bowed equally low. "As it is to you," he intoned solomly. "I am Captain Dewclaw of this Battleship, the Deception. Who do I have the pleasure of addressing?" He stood with his hands behind his back. A couple of techs walked in, followed by Marines pushing four of anti-gravity lifts piled with various technology. Some of it was simple and mundane, like a charred blaster pistol. Others were complex and exotic, like what looked like a starship core, which took up a whole lift by itself.

"I am Hathor. That technology would apear to be ours, are you returning it to us? Reva uh sel" hathor called to the other robed men and women of the sabers "These are my padawans, old and new." In a wisper she said "they are doing quite well but dont mention rank, two of them are not yet off the padawan rank, unlike the other 5 who are Guardaun."

The Captain nodded with a glance at the Voultro ship. "Come. When our other guests deem it worthy to come out, we'll be ready." The techs left the pile of technology by the Dragona techs. Dewclaw walked slowly down the ranks of Marines with Hathor at his side. At the end of the line stood a attractive young female kitsune wearing a uniform almost identical to the Captain's, save a few less bars and stripes and it was white colored. "This is my XO Weatherthorn." Weatherthorn had light brown hair done up in a conservative bun, a clean looking, white face, a slender figure, yellow eyes and rust-orange fur. Her tail was short but bushy and glossy, and a blue katana was strapped to her waist. She bowed to Hathor. "Greetings. Welcome aboard the Deception." They continued forward though a set of blast doors and into the interior of the ship. "Now," said Dewclaw as they passed a few spacers in their gray uniforms cleaning some carbon scouring and blaster burns off the gray bunkheads "can you describe to me, personally, the events leading up to the attack?"

IC:" Thank you my dear" Hathor replyed in her calm, almost musical tones, extending a golden scaled hand (with 3 fingers and a thumb, tiped with serated claws). To Dewclaw she said "No, I am sorry captain but i do not know much of the fight, not yet anyway. I can say that the pirates are getting very cocky, the is the 7th large scale assult they have pulled off against us, it would seem Xipo is uniting them, telling them of our weakneses." She paused for a moment, contemplating wether she should continue, then making her decision. These people where trustworthy, she felt it, even from first glance they seemed, well, less hostile tha your average ailen when the see a race of dragons with really big uns. "Our fleet, captain, is streched thin, as the empier grows, we encounter new races, not all of them are as friendly as you, recently we found a large group of Machana'pep, calling them selfves the Novus and had only one ship to greet them. Any way, if i may meditate befor our 'friends' join us then i may be able to learn more."

The Captain nodded gravely. "We, too, have noticed an increased amount of pirate raids on our colonys and convoys. They are getting stronger, and more bold." They reached the confrence room. "Please, take a seat anywhere and do your meditations. We shall wait."

"thank you" Hathor said calmly as she sat in a quet corner 'where the force energys where strongest, and allowed them to was over her. reveal the battle to me she said with her mind. Almost instantly the techneq took effect.

She was nolonger sat in a corner on an alien ship, she was sat in space, watching as Xipo led his fleet out of hyperspace and engaged the few ships defending the planet. After a few minutes she could nolonger bear the great sense of loss that she felt after the destruction of the defenders, she awoke from meditation with a start. "There was... a terable masacer here. Xipo, he slew...one million of my people. That was before help arived to fight him off. There is so much loss, a great emptieness in the force." She took a moment to colect her self then said "do you still have the prisoners onboard?"

Dewclaw glanced out the port at the ravanged planet. "Yes, two. Come with me to the brig." They walked though a few white, gray, and chrome walls, down a turbolift, though a dark hall, down another two decks, though a scanner room, down some stairs, though the main brig to a secluded cell. The room had steel, dark gray walls with a polished black floor. Two ornate, cushioned wooden chairs sat in front of a cell, with a Xiscapian Marine behind them. Dewclaw nodded and the Marine hit a panel. What seemed to be a wall slid down to reveal a small cell, seperated from the room by a lightly glowing blue force field. Inside the entirely bare cell were two figures. A male insect-like species, spindly and metallic looking, light green and black. It had two stubby wings on it's back, four antenne, and two gray, compound eyes. It wore no clothing aside from a light brown utility belt, which was bare and empty, but seemed to have several poutchs, containers and holsters. It stood in the middle of the room, it's black mandables mindlessly chewing, a thin line of goo dripping from it's plastic-like jaws. The other creature was huge, eight feet tall and scaled red. It looked like a human Devil, but with no tail or pitchfork. Indeed, it only had a single, crystal eye, in which no pupel could be seem, in the middle of it's head. It stood on taloned feet, with huge claws on it's hands. It wore black battle armor which covered the chest, groin, and leg areas. The eye never once blinked or showed any sign of movement. It had a lizard-like snout, filled with pointed, yellow teeth. Muscular arms, legs, and chest betrayed it to be immensely strong. It sat in the corner, legs crossed. While the insect thing didn't move when the panel opened, it seemed to look at the Captain and Hathor though the force field. It did not, however, move from it's place. "The force field is completly soundproof, unless we need to be heard." said Dewclaw. "We captured these two from a crippled transport. The insect didn't put up much of a fight, but it's obviously sentiant, it kept making signs at us. It had some kind of bomb, I think it was going to try and blow us all up. We Stunned it, of course. That lizard-thing in the corner, anytime we bring in food it shouts at us. When we put them in here it tried to break the force field, but I think he's weared himself out. He seems to speak for both of them, but all he's said so far is curses. We've translated his language, of course, but it didn't do us much good. They are yours for what you'd like to do with them. Just please," he glanced at her "no tourture."

Now, i am going to ask you a question, answer me or, on my honour, you shall pay ten fold for each life you helped take." Whith lighning speed she raised a hand and, reaching out with the force, pulled the creatures towards the forcefeild, stoping them a few centimeters from the crackling wall of energy. "Where is xipo, what system did he jump to after you engaced these people?" The prisoners did not answer "Fortunatly for you im not allowed to tortuer you, but that wont stop me killing you painfully. Now, TELL ME!!!"

The insect continued to chew, it's eyes, if they could show experssion, would have been glazed and unfocused. The lizard gave a roar. "I know nothing, nor will I tell you, puny scaly-being-with-wings. Qurlash the Ripper answers to no one!" The voice, gravely and low, was translated though a speaker on the wall, coming out metallic and synthisized. The Captain stood perfectly stoic, staring at both in turn. "You will tell her what she wants to know," he said softly, dangeriously, "or each of you will find yourselves swimming though vaccum without a suit." This was not, actually, allowed. The pirate POWs, however, didn't know that. The one who called himself "Qurlash the Ripper" answered. "I and my slave will not bend to your will! I will crush you into bits, and grind those bits into dust, and that dust wil be blown away by the wind!"

The insect was inadvertantly killed, flesh fried on the sizzling wall of energy like a moth on a light. The lizard-thing roared in fear and pain. "I do not know of this man you speak of, only a single ship escaped, I know not where it went!" Dewclaw coughed as the insect fell to the floor and raised his hand, making a slight gesture. There was a flash of light and the insect's body was incinerated in a flare of fire.

The Captain looked at the place where the lizard had been, then at Hathor, then back again. "We tracked it as far as the next system, then it jumped a few more times and we lost it. Last we knew it was entering an asteroid field in the whispy arm of a nebula. It was corvette class, the size of, say, your average blockade runner."

"From what i gather the Emporer was not happy with the assistance the voultro, he agreeded the voultro could have salvage rights if they helped. Granted they did but not much. As a result the emporer gave them the rights asa ruse to lure them into a false sense of security before delivering his true feelings."

Dewclaw gave a thoughful grunt. "Once, many thousands of years ago, we were like that. Cut off from our home, wandering the stars, doing whatever we could to survive. That was before we found Xiscapia. Anyway, I see no reason for your betrayel. These "Voltro" did not pose any threat to you, they helped you. For no practical reason would you attempt to kill them. I understand if you want the floating husks of your ships or the bodies of your soldiers, but I urge you to allow these Voltro their rights under contract. I cannot force you to, and if I could I would not. It is merely my advice."

Aparently the voltro were moving to salvage such technology. I will not try to justify the emporers actions as i have said."

The Voltro may attempt to take revenge and try to destroy your fleet. Be ready for anything, but use words before weapons." Dewclaw stroked his gray beard wisely.

"You are wise, but it is not me who comands them. If the Voltro attack, then they will fight more than a carrier and a titan, i assure you of that." Both where silent for a moment befor Hathor said "It would appear the voltro have deemed us unfit to treat with this day, if they do not turn up soon then i shall go. My order has much to do of late."

"I understand. As it is, I'm rather nervous with the time they're taking and I may have to forcibly eject their ship from my hanger, as it is."

Dewclaw smiled. "That won't be nessicary, at least not until the Voltro come out of their ship. It is rather annoying, really, that we've invited them here and they take such a long time. I'm afraid I will need to stay here until they either come out or leave. You may go back, if you wish. We can always come when they are ready."

IC: "As you wish. I look forward to it, thoe i doubt i shall be be at Dragath when you arive, we head to the debris of Orilea to pay tribute to the Asgard. Fairwell Dewclaw. Transporta" and in another blinding flash of blue light both the ship in the hanger and Hathor beamed over to the Allecto.

With little delay the ship rotated 256 degrees and activated its transwarp. A cloud of greenish enery formed, sucked the ship into it and disapered again.
A short while later a similer cloud would apper in the asteroid feild where Orilea had been befor the Asgard made the ultimate sacrifise.

Dewclaw shrugged and bowed farewell. He had no idea what the Dragona female was talking about, but it sounded religious. The fleet hung in space, waiting for the enterence of the Voltro and the return of the Dragona.

As the alecto droped out of transwarp it began to power down almost all systems and hung motionless in space, not even the engins glowed. Hathor, who had been beemed directly to the bridge, bowed her head as she looked at feild of debris that marked the place where Orilea once was.

As the ship drifted forward slightly due to momentum, all the crew sat and prayed to the ancesters to watch over the souls of the Asgard for thier great sacrifise to save the lives of untold billions from the ori.

Every standard year the sabers travel to Orilea to pay thier respects. For the next week, ships from the order would be ariving for just that purpose.

near a small planet at the outer edge of the empier, the dutchman (a flayer class frigate) was scaning the planets rings for scorodite (a valuable ore to the Dragona) when it detected a small energy signatur, then another and another. With in 3 minutes there where over 500 small craft within sensor range, hiding within the asteroid belt.
"Sir, the ships are scanning us"
"Raise sheilds, ready the cloak and bring the triple guns online"
"Aye sir" The tactical officer said pressing a couple of buttons and fl;icking a switch. The cloaking generater powered up and an invisable sheild formed around the ship with a white flash and from the front of the ship 3 tri-barreled guns extended.
